I'd walked by this place a few times before. It was usually almost empty whenever I did, but being in the mood for Mexican, we decided to give it a try. The food turned out to be excellent and was very authentic. They have a very extensive menu with cemitas, tortas, quesadillas, mole, and anything else you can think of. The portion sizes were very generous and we were completely stuffed. The quesadillas came with a large amount of meat, and the torta was above average in size. They also brought out a nice amount of free nachos and salsa to start the meal off. The prices of everything were reasonable and similar to other Jackson Heights Mexican restaurants. I feel like a reason this place is so empty is because it looks more expensive on the inside (modern decor) compared to the older and more run down spots like Taqueria Coatzingo. Don't let that put you off. This place is definitely worth a try.

Great location for casual dining and drinking, serving affordable Mexican food with an extensive menu, plenty of booth seating, quick service and usually not too packed. I had a beef enchilada which came in a massive portion and was extremely well cooked with delicious melted cheese. As for drinks I had a couple of margaritas, which I believe were made with more natural ingredients than many of the other nearby establishments, meaning less hangovers the following day ;) It has a nice relaxed atmosphere, although the last time I went there was one large noisy group the last time I went and vendors hawking DVDs or flowers do tend to come in every now and then, which I suppose is normal for somewhere located on Roosevelt avenue. Having looked through the poor reviews on this listing it seems like many of them are for delivery rather than the in-person experience.

Are you looking for an authentic Mexican Resturant to have lunch or dinner? Well look no further, Pico de Gallo has your back. Being Mexican myself it's important for me to be able to get food that has the authentic flavor and atmosphere of my home land. The ladies working at this restaurant are polite and quick to take your order. Food is taken to your table with great presentation. And when I tasted the food, it reminded me of moms food! The Resturant is decorated in a modern Mexican decor and the atmosphere is comfortable. I'd recommend this place for anyone who wants to have a private date with a love one or for a lunch day with friends.

We just ordered from Pico de Gallo through Seamless. For one they got our order wrong. We ordered quesadillas and got tacos instead. I didn't try the tacos but the rice, beans and the nachos were not good. I would not order from them again. Note: This is not authentic Mexican. This is a tex-mex restaurant.

Dassit, MY MEXICAN SPOT. If I could give ten stars, I would--because they even gave jolly ranchers with the bill at the end. And you can't go wrong with jolly ranchers. The cesina tacos are SLAMMIN'. They're really good & even if you're full, you're gonna want more. Guaranteed. They put a hefty spoon of avocado, the perfect amount for the taco. & they're not cheap with the meat! They pack that taco like it's supposed to. I didn't have to pick out any chunks of fat or extra crispy pieces. It was seriously an awesome taco. I also got the arroz con leche (bebida caliente/hot drink). It was fresh & perfect for this 15 degree weather. It warmed the cockels of my heart. The waitress was attentive & nice, despite the time it was. (It was like 12am-1am) The ambiance was chill too, the music was perfect for taco eating. If you ever have the munchies for Mexican food (especially for tacos) THIS IS THE SPOT. Open from 10am-7am, 7 days a week. How frickin' perfect is that?! Sorry taco truck. As long as I have my unlimited metrocard, or a car... I ain't goin' back to ya. This place got me hooked. No... actually, they're worth walking to 82nd for. Yeah. Walking. They're THAT good.

I love this place.. this could be the best Mexican restaurant of all Roosevelt ave. "They are opened till late night. The tacos are always good ( steak, carnitas and chorizo ) are highly recommended, I had the agua de horchata which was pretty good and refreshing. The night I came it was a karaoke night. Not big fan of it but the atmosphere is good.. the place is always cozy the waitress always attentive (cesi) was our server and she did an amazing job .. if you looking for a Mexican spot in Roosevelt this is the one.

Steak chimichanga and veggie burrito..with eaten guacamole

I came on a Saturday night after work..this wasn't my first choice. We had a hard time finding parking and were not able to make it in time to another restaurant so Pico de Gallo it was unfortunately. Upon arrival we realized it was karaoke night but it was Mexican style vía YouTube. It was very hard to hear each other. And the same people were singing most of the time. We ordered guacamole the homemade one..it was a bit odd they had the onions, cilantro, tomatoes and green peppers on the side instead of mixed in already. It was pretty good once I mixed everything together. I got the steak chimichanga which was a bit disappointing. It didn't have much flavor and it didn't have much inside besides rice and the steak. Maybe I'm just greedy but I prefer my food to have all the fixings lettuce, tomatoes the whole nine yards. My friend did like her veggie burrito. But I've definitely been to better quality Mexican spots.

Had dinner at the 80-09 Roosevelt Ave location. Everything was great! The serving sizes were big. The food was delicious & the drinks were strong. The waitress was genuine I really loved it I will definitely be coming back again

All their locations have pretty good ratings so I can't really go wrong. Came around 11am on a weekend and it was busy but there were tables available. The tables are arranged pretty strategically to fit as many as possible, which isn't the best for comfort. The service is nice here. The menu is in Spanish but they do have an English menu if you scan a QR code. I ordered the craken taco, costra taco, verde aguachile mixtos, a half dozen grilled shrimps, a la exotica, and guac with fried octopus. Everything was delicious! This place did not disappoint. Although, next time I'd probably skip the Craken taco and verde aguachile even though these two are a top recommendation. My favorite dish was probably the grilled shrimp. The way they grill it really brings out the sweetness and flavor of the shrimp. I personally enjoyed the la exotica more than the aguachile. The guac was also really good and the fried octopus was a good addition. I will definitely go to their other locations. This is a must try for seafood lovers.

Position are a bit small for a whole in the wall like this and prices are high especially on the tacos but that's because the quality seems really good and fresh and effort put into it. I will definitely try to come back And come early no reservations have to wait in lines cold or warm you will have to. Maybe they should open another spot or expand but that's their business .

They offer a different special for any day of the week, first time around on a Thursday Margaritas special , Tamarind & Mango nice big glass great margaritas, good tasty & nice & strong They start u off with some cake pieces, has a banana bread taste very good. Apps , we tried the Tostones con Birria very good great tasting meat & Chorizo Mac & cheese , also very good. Main dishes , Al pastor tacos & Chicken Burrito were both very good. Next time we stopped by for brunch, we got the bottomless option tried the Sangrita white, good sangrita price wise makes sense assuming u drinking more than 3-4 glasses a person. On the food Carnitas Benedict & short rib hash were both very tasty. For dessert gave the Tres Leches a try not bad, just the right amount of sweet. Another brunch visit & we tried Paloma spritz, good & Mexican coffee, pretty strong in taste. Chicken & waffles topped with bacon, very good chicken good combo dish. & the Lady's enchiladas great taste the enchiladas w the green sauce & cheese on top. Good size restaurant, small bar area towards the back, simple but colorful decor. Service overall has been good, they are attentive. Reasonable prices & u get a decent amount of food. My only complaint for the esquite was that it had a little too much water and mayo but other than that, the corn was sweet and all the seasoning was perfect and hit the spot! The main reason why this is one of my go to places now though is because of the smoothies. I haven't been too often just yet but the smoothies that I have tried from then so far have been absolutely perfect. I am just glad that I found this spot as the weather is getting warmer because I know I will be craving smoothies more often. The place is quite small and it was quite dim when I went in. They do have a couple of tables and seats as well. The service was also great. They were very sweet and our items came out in a timely manner.

We also ordered elote which is rolled up in tin foil. It was spicy for my palate and the crumbly cheese was okay. Just wasn't for my taste at all. But corn cleared my palate for the next bite. The rice in the burrito was undercooked. Some part of the grain was crunchy, but my boyfriend didn't notice it. I think I'll give this place another try.

Ironically, earlier while trying to decide where to go for dinner, I had sent this restaurant to my friend but we ended up going somewhere else and came here for drinks afterward. The drinks were really good! We tried the "Sexy Oaxaca," which consists of 7 Misterios Doba-Yej Mezcal, Cointreau, grilled pineapple, mint agave, fresh lemon, and warm salt. This drink takes your taste buds on a ride. It starts off light and refreshing with the mezcal throughout, then finishes with a smoky effect from the pineapple since it's lit. It was really good!! I also tried the "VIP Old Fashion," made with Patrón Extra Añejo, Nixta corn liqueur, Angostura, and orange bitters. This was also good and was smoked prior to being served, giving it a smoky aftertaste. It's definitely a drink you sip slowly. Although we arrived about an hour and a half before closing, the waiter was very polite and professional. They also didn't rush us out once it was closing time, which I appreciated. There were other customers still there enjoying themselves as well. I will definitely be back for dinner. I'm very curious to see what the food is like. I really enjoyed the drinks.
