I was staying at the Hampton Inn next door and actually learned about Pickle's Pub while reading reviews for the Hampton Inn. It was incredibly convenient that it was literally next door to where I was staying, but I love the lack of pretentiousness at this dive bar. I loved the 3-9pm Happy Hour where I could get a well whiskey cocktail for $3. I had dinner there my first night I ordered the crab soup and a chopped salad. The soup came out first and was delcious! The broth was incredibly well seasoned, there were large chunks of fresh vegetables, and the crab lumps were juicy and tender. When the salad arrived I couldn't believe my eyes, it was enourmous! There was boiled, eggs, green peppers, tomatoes, onions, banana peppers, and... I ended up taking most of the salad home for a tasty midnight snack. I tried the crab fries based on the Yelp reviews, but I didn't care for them. (I'm not really into french fries in general) I liked this place so much I visited it every day that I was in Baltimore, and brought my colleagues there to experience it for themselves (every one was amazed). Dump Pickle's is located on a block of quaint red brick houses close to Camden Yards Ballpark. The offerings are typical Pub Fare. Nothing spectacular, but more than satisfying on game day or for that matter when the Orioles are out of town. Service is adequate. The bartender was a little hyper, but hyper is ok especially in a pub atmosphere. And, of course, you do get pickles with your sandwich. What can I say. I love this place. A dive bar located behind Camden yards. I've been here over 20 times in the last year and each time it is exactly what I look for in a good dive bar. Good food, good drinks, and good service. I typically sit at the bar and always have great service. When I'm in town and want to watch my VCU games they always turn the channel and find it for me. I love Pickles Pub so much, mostly because it was one of the first bars I went to in Baltimore and it was after a baseball game across the street, so it was complete chaos. I don't know how they pack that many people in that tiny little corner, but it certainly feels like Mardi Gras in New Orleans everywhere. It's a giant block party and the bars adjacent to it get in on the action too. Really fun in the summer and obviously if there is a game going on. Having been both on and off season, I appreicate that it is consistently good with it's selection of food and drinks. I love that although they are a dive, they offer amazing crabcakes and other filling menu items. I particularly like the crab dip - I noticed they served it on a warm soft pretzel too!! The service has always been good here, usually not too many people so you go to the bartender or they will come to you. If you come off season or the weekend, you can easily find a table and spend some time watching a game or just enjoying good grub and drinks. The only thing that sucks in the area is parking, since it is located in an odd corner. But usually around the block you can get some street parking for only a few bucks (not during baseball season though, just take uber then!). Some of my friends food was decent, but I ordered the pulled pork and it may have been one of the worst pulled pork sandwiches I have ever eaten. The verdict: Come here to drink not to eat, you never know if after a couple of beers the food may actually taste good. The decor inside is very much like a bar: cement floors, bar stools, darkened, lots of TV and lots of noise. The people watching is good, if that's your thing. I got the crab pretzel, shaped like a letter P, and it was good. Probably nothing I would make a special trip to have, and I'll probably order something different next time, but it was good. The rest of the menu is typical bar food, with a good selection of crab items. As the evening progresses or the game gets closer, the vibe gets louder and a little rowdier. I live right by this place and my school does a lot of events here. I really enjoy their food, don't expect fancy food. It's your typical pub/bar food. Great when your drunk. I stopped by Pickles Pub on the way to an O's game with a few friends. It's very conveniently located if you're heading to a baseball game! It's about a 5 minute walk from the main gate. On game day they had people outside in small beer vendors (cash only outside) and a full bar and menu inside. The beers on special ranges from $5-$7 for the tall cans, SUCH A STEAL! We ordered pulled pork nachos to hold us over until we got inside the stadium. The nachos were about $14, but they were enough for 3 of us to snack on for quite a while! They're generous with their pulled pork which was a pleasant surprise, so I recommend getting that and paying the additional fee dollars because it's worth it! Bar tenders inside and out were quick and friendly, even amongst a large crowd there. I never had to wait longer than 5 minutes to get a drink or be waited on. Great spot! read more

You can buy 2 beers for $5 here outside of the actual bar and take them in to sit down. Little frills, great food, and friendly atmosphere. The evening we went included local business folks, conference attendees (close to the convention center), and locals. We ordered Coors light tall cans, crab cake sandwiches, and fried pickles. I'm not usually a fan of fried pickles, but hey when in Rome... and I'm glad I did! They were very good & have now become my gold standard for a great fried pickle! Service was fast and friendly. Been living a block up from Pickles for the last 4 years and it's a great neighborhood spot. It's usually not too packed outside of a game day. Nice spot to hang out with friends and grab some good and drink. We would come here for drinks after school exams were over. Has a divey atmosphere. They have TVs all over so you can watch games from anywhere. When the weather is nice the outdoor seating right in front of Camden Yards is great. They also do a great job catering to large group events. Can't go wrong with the wings here! They are good and filling. The pizza is average but large. I would stay away from the nachos. They melt regular cheese instead of using nacho cheese and it's hard to eat the nachos. Try the Jameson pickle shot if you get the chance! read more

I usually come here for work happy hours and the occasional Orioles game. If you come here for game day, be warned. It can get super crowded and wild. But on non-game days, this is a good happy hour spot to catch up with co workers or friends. The drinks and food are reasonable and the staff is friendly. I have planned about 2-3 larger happy hours here and the manager is always over accommodating. They have two bars downstairs with a good size dining space and a space upstairs, which is great for all group sizes. I definitely recommend the crab pretzel which is pretty darn good and comes in a fun P shape! read more

Walked in and asked to sit in the bar. The hostess told me there wasn't a server in the bar if I wanted food; I wanted a pre-game drink. I sat at a table and was immediately scolded by the bar tender to see the hostess. I explained that the hostess told me to sit where ever, but there wasn't a server... I was met by a blank stare and "go see the hostess". I went back to the hostess and told her the bar tender told me to go back to her; she told me again their wasn't a server and I told her again I only wanted drinks. She then told me the tables (in the bar) were for people eating dinner only and that I could only sit at a bar stool (of which there wasn't two seats together). I left and went to sliders...
