FPBLT - Fried Pickle BLT was amazing!!!
    Joe S.

I came to Baltimore for the crab cakes, but fell in love with the Fried Pickle Bacon Lettuce and Tomato (F.P.B.L.T) at Pickles Pub. Holy crap that was a nice mix of a great BLT and fried pickle spears. This was one great sandwich. I was with a group for lunch and we also ordered the Honey Old Bay wings. The flavor of these was good, but it was definitely more honey than old bay. I had a similar flavor before and they were better at the other place. Service was OK with the waitress barely stopping buy for drink refills and taking our order. It wasn't overly busy either. It wasn't terrible, but there was a lack of service for sure. Also, a trough in the men's room? C'mon man... you gotta update that stuff.

Located across the street from the Orioles stadium, we came to this place based on the name and nothing to do with a game or event. Am I the only one here disappointed that the name doesn't really represent what is available inside? As a family who loves pickles, and I mean looooovvveeesss pickles, we thought we hit the jackpot. Unfortunately it was a dud. Fried pickle spears and one shot with pickle juice were the extent of the pickle items on the menu. The crabby patty burger we ordered didn't even come with a pickle. Make that make sense. The P crab pretzel was unique but maybe more like pizza dough than pretzel like. Service was ok but it was pretty empty when we came and sometimes it was hard to find someone. I can see the appeal and vibe on a game day at this place but if you are just looking for a meal in the area or a place with lots of pickle items, this is not the spot.

When it comes to O's games, Pickles knows what it's doing! They have fast service, great places to gather, and of course, amazing orange crushes. This is a staple in the baseball experience in Baltimore for a reason!

We had the Orange Crush and the Grapefruit Crush. WOW, 32 ounces of fun. The Grilled American Chicken sandwich was delicious. The Baltimore Fries were great! Definitely recommend this place.

A popular and fun pub. Drinks are pricy and beer selection is limited. The orange crushes are great and I tried a King James one along with a Crabby Patty and Beer Battered Pickle Spears which were great. Service was fast and friendly. I came here a few hours before a weeknight Orioles Red Sox game so it was not busy when I arrived but got quite busy closer. Looking forward to returning and bringing my wife sometime.

I ordered an orange crush, that thang was huge!!

My visit to Pickles unconventional, but definitely memorable! My son and I were in town for a Ravens game and needed somewhere to grab lunch before catching the light rail back to BWI. I didn't want chain food and Pickles was a quick walk from our hotel and the Babe Ruth statue my son wanted to see. Even though it's a pub, it was definitely family friendly during the day and my son and I experienced prompt and friendly service. We tried the F.P.B.L.T. (fried pickle was perfection) and honey Old Bay wings w/ plenty of ranch. I also had one last Natty Boh, and they had some other good drink specials. The dining room was clean and there were plenty of seating options and games on TV. One fun thing was WBAL was in house filming fan reactions to the game and we ended up on the news. We'd go back when in the area again!

Actual rating 3.5/5 Came here with my friends before an O's game. The game started at 7 and we got here around 3; all seats downstairs in the pub were taken but we did get bar seating upstairs in the pub. It is apparently possible to call and reserve a table in advance! By the time we left Pickles around 5:20; the inside AND outside standing area was jam packed with people. Service was polite and fine. Crabby Patty 3/5, did I order this based on its cute name? Yes. What there even a hint of crab in this? No. This is a double patty cheeseburger, which, to be clear, I love. That said; the white sauce where the crab is supposed to be with Old Bay seasoning frequently fell out of the burger and at most tasted vaguely fishy. I would go for ordering a cheaper plain burger as this is what this is.

Pickles was the go-to spot for graduate students at UMB, however, they got rid of their UMB student discount and happy hour specials which is a complete bummer! I came here with co-workers on a non-game day. A mediocre Bloody Mary was $9.75. A cup of sparkling wine was $6. The service was okay. The bartender was really nice, but we had to either order from ToastTab (using the QR code) or go up to the bar and order. Beer Battered Pickle Spears ($11.99): tasted really good. They came with a ranch dipping sauce too. It was the perfect harmony of the acidic pickles and the crunchy batter. Crab Pretzel ($14.99): the crab pretzel came out in a "P" form, which I thought was unique. The pretzel itself was nice and crispy. It was lightly dusted with old bay, had crab dib and cheddar cheese. For only $15, I thought it was good. Spicy Hot Cheese Balls ($12.99): was not a huge fan of the pepper jack cheese balls. The texture was really mealy and the flavor was so mild, considering they used pepper jack. It does come with ranch ad potato chips, but I won't be ordering these again, The ambiance was pretty chill for a non-game day. I have been here on game day and it was packed, so this was a different scenery. There is limited street parking around the block. They also have seating upstairs as well.

We stumbled upon Pickles while walking through town late one night. Cool menu with fun bites but the Crabby Patty is what really drew us in. Loaded burger with crab dip? It's a mouthful but tasty! Seems like a good time if games are on and you're into that kind of vibe.

Went before The Ravens game. Reminds me of a college bar. Despite what Google says the kitchen opens at 9 on game days. Got there at 9:45 and there were plenty of tables. Got full around 10:30. The Orange Crushes (the DelMarVa beach drink) are 32 oz and very good. Good burgers but they don't come with fries, which are worth ordering. Have to get the fried pickles although they are a little pricey. The crab pretzel was too much like bread and not enough like a pretzel for my taste. Fun atmosphere.

This is a great divey sports bar right across from Orioles Stadium. Friendly staff. Tasty food and cocktails. Very comfy laid back vibe. Large doors open to the street when the weather is nice. Go here.

Awesome pub. We dined downstairs for happy hour. Fish and chips on happy hour is just 1 small piece…read moreof fish so keep that in mind but it was crispy, flakey and delicious! I also got a mushroom lasagna and it didn't feel hot enough/ didn't taste amazing after the first few bites. But hoping it's a one off and would like to try some other things. We weren't the biggest fan of the chicken sandwich (I think it was called the chicken royale?) we got either- it just didn't work with the combination inside the sandwich. Seemed like there was only 1 person running the whole downstairs (and maybe training someone else) but he was a burst of sunshine keeping it together. Because of the 2 dishes not really hitting the mark but fish and chips are great id give it between 3 & 4 stars! Will come back for the fish & chips and try something else as the atmosphere was lovely and service was nice. Also looks like they have nice deals for every day of the week at the upstairs portion.

Stopped in before a concert on a whim and were glad we did. McGinty's has a cozy, traditional Irish…read morepub vibe, and the staff was friendly with quick service. The only odd thing was that our server seemed to change halfway through our meal without anyone mentioning it. The fried green tomatoes (not pictured) were excellent and definitely worth ordering if they're on the menu. I had the shepherd's pie--it had great flavor but was unfortunately very salty, making it hard to finish. Overall, good food, great atmosphere, and a spot I'd recommend if you're in the area before a show.
