Flavor was ok but didn't really taste much of the pork compared to the herbs. Peanut sauce kind of masked the flavors of the spring rolls. I heard about this place on Yelp with high ratings, so I had to drop by and try it out myself. I've had a lot of banh mi sandwiches in my life, so I'm pretty picky when it comes to eating them. First off the restaurant is very small. It holds like 3 tables inside. They did not have the AC on, and they left the door open, which was a bad sign. There is outside seating, if you prefer. They also have a drive thru, if you don't want to eat there. There is no public restroom, so go potty at McDonald's before coming. There was only one person in the kitchen cooking, and one lady taking the orders at the drive thru and counter. She was very sweet and quick. The food came out pretty fast. The prices are pretty darn good. You get a good portion for the price you pay. I got the Combo 1 which comes with the original sandwich plus 2 pork egg rolls or wings and a drink for $10! Now that's a deal! Hope they keep it that way. Their banh mi dac biet sandwich is definitely different than what I've had in the past. The add some sort of chili sauce to it, which I didn't care for. The pate they used is not as tasty as the ones I'm use to having. The meat was okay, but it just lacked flavor. I wish the menu would have indicated the ingredients on each sandwich. Their egg rolls were crispy and cooked to perfection. The egg rolls did lack flavor. I usually can taste some fish sauce or something, but there was no flavor, and they didn't offer any dipping sauce or soy sauce for it. Dipping sauce would have been a game changer. The wings were nice and crispy. They cook the wings when you order, so it's fresh and hot. I thought it would have been packed with some chili seasonings, but it wasn't. It lacked flavor and the dipping sauce it came with was a sweet mayo flavor, that I didn't care for. They were giving out free ice cream. It was vanilla soft serve. Not sure if the machine is working properly, because there were big chunks of ice in it. I hope they will fix that. Overall, I wasn't impressed with the flavoring of their food. They also have rice dishes and other non-sandwich options. There were no other customers when we came in. There are three tables inside and all of them had not been cleaned off. We chose one of them, farthest away from the TV because it was blasting music videos. It was so loud, especially with no one inside. There is no restroom for customers at this location. I have tried a few and dac biet along with thit nuong (bbq pork) never ever disappoint. I always do extra pate in all my banh mi too. This place rocks. I guess this one is considered Anaheim. Complete with a drive thru thats open late. The food is outstanding. I had the lemon grass beef in a warm crunchy baguette. It was filled with a ton of pickled style veggies, cilantro, cucumber, carrots etc. When I got home I added hoison sauce. It was huge, easily split in half and saved for later. Since I was hungry I also had some veggie spring rolls. They were packed with yummy goodness. The service was friendly. The nice server even offered me ice cream.
