Purchased exhaust parts for my Suzuki SX4 earlier today. It's a Pick N Pull, people, not Autozone. I went online to check and see if they actually had my car in stock, which they did. I arrived, paid $1 to enter the yard, they checked my toolbox to ensure I wasn't bringing in any unauthorized items. I found the vehicle I was looking for within 15 minutes, and I had the parts I needed soon thereafter. You can rent a wheelbarrow for another $1, but I didn't need one. Checkout was easy enough. The cashier looks at the parts you have pulled, and comes up with a price. I asked one of the yard workers for assistance at one point, and he was happy to help. Mission accomplished. The big chunk of exhaust system that I found cost $30, while the cheapest I could find for the exact same part online was $962. Follow the rules, bring some basic tools, and save serious cash. There's nothing like a couple of hours at the Pick-N-Pull to get you in touch with your inner Tim the Tool Man. This place offers acres and acres of cars, very logically and clearly arranged by make and model. The yard is relatively safe and surprisingly clean. I recommend using the Car Inventory function on the website (http://www.picknpullsa.com/car_inventory.php) to make sure they have what you're looking for before you go. I didn't check in advance before my last visit, and I went away empty-handed. But that's my fault, not theirs. read more

If you call ahead, determine availability of vehicle your part should be on, and price. Be absolutely certain you can carry in necessary equipment to remove, or get access to the part needed. The gate opens at 8:30am $1 entry, line forms at 8:20, no one is in a race to a certain bargain item like at a store, it is a question of time, the cars are organized, there is a shuttle, but waiting for it can eat precious time. This day I found myself removing the rear hangers, springs, shocks, live axle, hubs, wheels of a Dodge to build a trailer. Removing the part was done in 1.5 hours, i walked back to get a large flatbed wagon available for $1, wagon was beastly, and would barely fit between vehicles empty, parts I had chosen were too heavy and cumbersome to flip down the long, tight row of Dodges. Prices at the counter were somewhat different than quoted, but the difference was tolerable considering the options I had at that point. I called Pick N Pull to inquire about selling them a wrecked car. The lady I spoke with was very courteous and efficient. After giving her details of the car, she placed me on hold to check value, etc. She offered what I thought was a generous price, considering the fact that the car had major damage to the front end. I agreed to price and she explained details regarding payment and pick up. Sure enough, I received a call from a dispatcher to schedule pickup the following day. Early this morning, I received a call to confirm pickup time. Driver was here promptly at 9:30 as promised. He too was very friendly and courteous. After 5 minutes of signing over title, he gave me a check for the agreed upon amount. Driver hooked up car to his tow truck and off he went. Everything about this transaction was outstanding. From the initial call to pickup and payment. No games, no bs, no delays. Outstanding customer service. I highly recommend Pick N Pull if you need parts or have an old junked or wrecked vehicle to sell. They'll give you a fair price based on salvage value. read more

Came to the pick and pull after I woke up on Easter to a broken passenger side window on my Chevy Tahoe. Laura was extremely helpful in helping me source the part and I even got a warranty for only $2.50 extra. A glass shop near my house wanted to charge me $175 for the entire repair while this one only cost me $35 and a small amount of labor. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody trying to save himself some money. read more

This place is getting worse and worse. I have been going for years. They trash the interiors of the cars. When they place a new car out, they clean up the area by jamming everything inside the new car. Gas tanks, wheels, cv axles etc all goes inside. When you get to the counter, all the cashiers act like they are some sort of badass. They are rude and insulting. I have called from the yard asking for a price on something. When I get to the window it is twice as much. You tell them I called and was told $XXX.00. They say "so what? you didn't talk to me." I went today and they charging dealer prices. I needed a power mirror switch. Nissan wants $48.00 new. Pick n pull wants $40.00. It is a used part that you have to scavenge and them uninstall yourself. Might as well go get it new. Other parts were priced just a few bucks under new retail. No need giving a rude business any of your business. read more

Terrible customer service! I donated my car to a charity and this place was supposed to pick it up. The first time, their toll truck that three flat tires and they had to reschedule. The second time, a rude man grilled me on whether I was the owner, whether I was on the title, and then insisted I text him a picture of my title. I had already completed ALL necessary procedures the week before with not only the charity itself, but the national organization that farms this work out to people like Pick N Pull. When the agent from the national organization called them, they deny that they even take donations on behalf of charity! I went with Copart in New Braunfels, much nicer folks! read more

Best Auto Salvage yard I have been to. Staff was friendly and helpful. Prices were very reasonable. They have a shuttle that can take you to the area you are needing to get to and they bring you and your parts back to the gate for you when your are through. Very clean and easy to get to each car. Called and got a price for a bumper. $33 plus $5 core. Sweet deal even the quote was wrong ($55 plus $6 core after I arrived). I paid $1 for me and another for my girlfriend along with $1 for a wheel barrel and walked all the way to the back corner of the yard where they keep the trucks. Problem is, they set the trucks on the rear bumper using rims as stands. Honest mistake/communication error. I thought "no big deal. I'll just look for a jack or ask one of the workers for a jack/use the forklift". Boy was I wrong. The employees looked at me like I was an alien and said "we don't allow jacks". No problem, "can you ask the forklift operator to help me out?" They told me he's gone and I'll have to come back. Not long after I heard them call me a gringo and laugh amongst themselves. Wow!
