I gave them an ok rating even though my experience was easily turned into a failure. I went in looking for a crankshaft pulley for a 94 f350 kind of an obscure part I'll admit . When I got there they charged me admission and then told me they didn't have that vehicle. So I explain that any 92 to 98 big block ford with ac would work . They said they had a whole row of those and directed me to the correct row every single big block ford there had the motor removed so the pulley I needed was also removed. I scavenged around and in the last row with all the obscure vehicles was a e 350 con version van with the motor still in it. So success! It just seems that the people at the counter weren't vey knowledgeable about the part I needed or the vehicles in stock. In the end I paid 16.09$ for a part my only other choice was one from summit racing for 284$. read more

My Kia's rear windshield wiper has a special blade that isn't carried at any auto parts store and Amazon can't even get right. So I came here with the intent of buying a rear wiper bracket off of another hatchback (any old hatchback would do) and retrofitting it to my car so I can fit a standard 12" blade from any store to my car. I explained this to the attendant, who told me they did not have any kias in their yard. I tried to clarify what I was trying to do; he rudely cut me off and repeated that they didn't have any kias in the yard. Thankfully I was able to go down the street to another yard where some Mexican dude who barely spoke any English understood exactly what I was trying to do and gave me a wiper from his yard. read more

This was my first time at this location and I feel like a fool for wasting time with the Mesa location. Right away I was actually greeted like a human being which was nice! The cashier even told me precisely which aisles to check in the yard for my type of vehicle. I picked up an uncommon car part which the cashier could not locate in her inventory so she sold it to me for $10 which was a steal! This was A pleasant experience for getting rid of an older car. Significantly less hassle than using Craigslist or dealing with people replying to an ad . They purchased my 2002 Chevy Malibu with 200,000 miles for $400. I don't know if I could have done better but I wanted to get rid of the car quickly, efficiently and make a little money still.. Called pick a part for some used Chevy calipers, I would have to remove them myself, which is ok if you can save some money. The lady giving the price quoted 64.00 and 7 or 13.00 core charge. Amazon or eBay sells the same loaded caliper for about 69.00. And ebay sells them used for 49.00 free shipping to your front door. All I can say is check prices before you make a trip to one of their junk yards, and get dirty and pay a new price for used parts. And what's with a core charge. Part was the same price you could buy it on line after market. Also amount was $15.02 gave the cashier a 20.00 dollar bill he gives me $4.00 in change, says there is a coin shortlist . Also there is not much inventory. And charging 3.00 to get in is too much for very little inventory of cars. Manager came and gave me the correct change. read more

False advertising. This business claims "Lowest prices, guaranteed, will match any competitor's advertised price." They are BY FAR the most expensive self-service yard around (3 times as expensive in most cases). They will not match any competitor's advertised price. I called the manager out on it, and his response was that his sign out front only says "Low, Low, Prices", not "Lowest Prices". This is false. I contacted headquarters, and all they did was talk around me, trying to avoid my questions. It's bait and switch, really, and I dislike the fact that they don't list prices. I'm always shocked when I get at the register. Just today they charged $44 for a grille from a sedan. Most other yards only charge $12 for the same part. I almost put it back, and in fact, I put back the $40 cassette radio that anywhere else only charges $7 for. One time they charged me something like $40 for an alternator that I could have bought for $17 at another yard. Sometimes there are acts of kindness, but overall, I feel that the prices are too high, and the attitude of the employees often seems like they are trying to squeeze every last penny out of me. I often avoid this yard, but every now and then I come back to give it another chance, and always regret it. read more

Stopped by their yard two days ago and looked around. Am restoring a 1970's car and looking for parts. Went back inside and talked with the manager and he said to look at their yard in Mesa, and I did. What a nightmare (will review that location separately) and will never return to that location. Returned to the Phoenix location and as before the staff were very nice to work with and bent over backwards to help. Found the parts I needed and they even noticed that I was pretty hot and tired when walking back and gave me a water and soda for free. I gave my friend a ride to pick apart while I was there I talked with the girls they are really friendly my problem is I needed to buy two tires becyase when I buy them at tire shops they burn me with tires that look good but 2 months later they crack and I have to buy tires again . so I decided to take a look at the tires there that was not my plan while I was there I didn't look at the sighns becuase it was a last minute thought and I was waiting for my friend so it didn't acur to me to read sighns. So I bought 2 tires one of the girls there helped me she picked one out for me but the match didn't look as good as the other one so I picked two other ones I looked it looked like it said 16 I was wrong they were 15 . I found out at the tire shop I called and I can't exchange them I had just left ! I don't know shit about cars I wish she would have told me when she was helping me make sure you get the right size cuz you can't bring them back ! a last minute thought turned out just to loose money again why can't they just give me the right size ? So fucken stupid ! Buying tires when your a women us hard they burn now I'm stuck with two tires I can't even use wtf ! Absolutely the best place went there with my boyfriend and little brother all the guys there are sooo helpful, they actually care. We usually go to the one in Mesa but they are all rude there and don't care at all . But it's the total opposite at this location. So I been to the pick a part in Mesa plenty of times an that location lets just say I will not be ever going to that location again. The one in Phoenix is far out thee best one I have ever been to the customer service is amazing there so polite so helpful an is willing to give you a great and screaming price. The yard is very large an have a lot of cars of different makes and models but will surely find the part you need. My husband and I go to pick a part on Broadway in Phx. Recently we searched everywhere for a window motor for our elantra, we couldn't find it anywhere, but finally we found it here. The price was right, and it was fairly easy to find on the lot, we even got a list of interchangeable parts from other cars before we even entered. I go to this pick a part a couple time a week. Selection is ok but yard is small compared to most others. For the past few months they have had a 50% off sale that has now ended. I went there because they were less expensive than the other yards. Now with their sale off they are much more expensive as the other yards. So with their small selection and no more bargain prices it is not worth going there. Price used to make it worth the trip but not now. I may as well go to the bigger yards where selection is better and prices are lower. read more
