Wow Piccadilly at Stockbridge on 138 use to be my place to go for a good home cooked meal, but today I was completely surprised. Looks like they are going out of business first there's no air in the restaurant it was so hot , the parking lot was empty. I saw one family trying to eat in a hot restaurant. I Wanted to stay but no way I took my food home. when I got home to eat it oh my goodness the vegetables were not even tasty. If you're gonna open up a can of vegetable at least season them put some sort of season in the green vegetables! They were awful. I did not enjoy the vegetables. The chicken was OK. It wasn't delicious and the cornbread that's not good southern corn bread! whoever made this bread used wheat flour with the corn flour and used too much cause the corn bread was too heavy. I was so disappointed with Piccadilly. They are not what they used to be. This restaurant looks like they're going out of business as well. If there was a zero star, I will give it zero I gave one star because there wasn't not a zero. read more

Sooooo sorry I don't have any photos. But let me just say, I don't know why I had a nagging craving for liver & onions, but I did; I knew exactly where I had to go. So I trotted to Piccadilly in Stockbridge, and let me tell you what, I am so glad I did. Immediately upon arriving into the restaurant I was enthusiastically greeted by several of the employees working behind the food line. I placed my order and was consistently greeted with excellent customer service from the serving line through the checkout process. The staff was absolutely delightful. And this is so important especially in this pandemic because service has really fallen to an all time low, so I was extremely pleasantly surprised by the customer service offered at this location. And then I got to my car began to eat my lunch and it was superbly cooked, very delicious and fresh. I will make it a point to visit this location at least once a week! Great job team! read more

Now that their Health score is 90 I feel a little more comfortable patronizing the restaurant. Still the building could really use some renovations. I always order my food To Go! For as long as I can remember I've been trying to get an apple dumpling however they only offer them on Sundays. So I finally get my hand on one and I can say, I've tried it! As we entered the establishment it seemed like the first few ladies didn't want to be at work . . . Major ATTITUDE! However when we worked our way down the line we came across the most cheerful lady. I asked her about the fish and she told me it's good, but if you don't like it come back and I'll get you something else. She gave me a. Ice portion and hush puppies. I also got some mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans. As we looked for a table I was searching for hot sauce and ketchup. A waitress saw me looking and came over to assist me. I got to the table and the mashed potatoes were salty so I politely asked the waitress if I could exchange them for something else which she did with a smile. Came here to have lunch since I have not been to one since moving out of Louisiana. I was very disappointed as I got here maybe 30 minutes after there opening time of 11:00 AM and they were out of Carrot soufflé when asked how long it would be they said 2 hours. How can you not make enough to start your day or why would you think one pan is going to last all day. I am not the only one disappointed there were 5 other people asking for the same thing. If you know this is one of the food you are know for why not make sure you have it. read more

Ordered online received a confirmation email. Drove 15 miles and found out their could not accept online orders. So I got in line and they did not have any of the food i ordered and paid for. Also the manager told me he could not issue a refund so I could take some random food or wait an hour. So here I am simply wait and there is no genuine concern. Please treat people better. Upon walking in they welcome you as you come in through the door, they have great looking fruit, pies, cobblers, salads. You grab a tray and silverware and just grab what ya want to eat. Reminds me of Laughner's Cafeteria up in Indiana, my northern folk can relate. I had the roast beef with mashed potatoes and their awesome carrot souffle. If you haven't tried it, get it. Its delicious. If you dont like carrots, you'll love this--trust me. Lela was a wonderful attendant as she greets you at your table and gets you anything you should need, didn't have to ask for anything as she already knew what we needed like a mother. She loves her job, you can tell, and she treats you like your family. The roast beef was tender and had a great taste to it, they carve it in front of you. If you ever make it in, said hello to lela. This is a good place to come after church with your family especially if you have older family members. My only complaint is that they pretty much charge you for everything now. Our total for 4 was 70 plus dollars. Yes we did order dessert but they charge you for the drinks also. Pro tip ( order water and get lemon slices and make your own lemonade). The drinks were like 2.95 each so do the math. I would come back but Atlanta has more to offer than just this. Service was not the best. Waitress was short on temper. I went to this Piccadilly back in March and was very underwhelmed, the food was extremely bland. I hadn't been back until today when I decided to give it another shot because I've been to other Piccadillys and loved the food! I walked out without finishing a quarter of my food, and I hate hate hate to waste food! The chicken tetrazzini was absolutely disgusting and definitely made with canned chicken. The other things on my plate were okay but I couldn't even eat after tasting the tetrazzini. Won't be returning ever again. read more

I'm a fan of this place because of the fresh cooking. I go early to get my food fresh and hot and it's never mushy or bland. For 7.00 you can get a veggie plate which includes 4 sides. The carrot soufflé is my favorite. I have yet to find a place near me that sells decent home cooking that isn't greasy, mushy, or salty. In a word, place sucks. Mediocre food at best and high high prices. Wife and I spent $27 on a normal lunch. Nothing special but not bad. I got a smothered pork chop which was not bad but pretty small. I did get a pile of rice to make plate look bigger. There are many, many places around here where your money is better spent. The staff is sometimes pretty cool and sometimes they are not that friendly. My favorite items are the broccoli and rice casserole and carrot souffle. Never been to a Piccadilly Cafeteria that is round in shape. This one is and it's yellow. One unique thing about this Piccadilly is the buffet salad and soup bar. Never been to a Piccadilly that offers it. However, the salad bar is not all that exceptional. . . It's OK if you're hungry and you have to eat like right now. Got hungry and decided to pull into the 1st restaurant when w got off the interstate. Ordered the baked chicken 2 sides and a dessert, my husband had the same. With our drinks our total was $30!! I couldn't believe it. I thought it was supposed to be a cheap cafeteria, well we were wrong! The Mac and cheese was bland, tasted like hospital food. The only good thing we had was the chicken. I've eaten at different Piccadilly locations for years with pleasant results (in fact, I'm a frequent diner), but there's just something about this one ... and that's not a compliment. The food is good. The line servers are pleasant. The floor servers are also generally nice. Where everything consistently goes wrong is at the cashier station, whether it be in the front of the restaurant or in the back. Every time that I've eaten at this location the cashiers have been surly. The pricing at the register is also inconsistent. I'm not sure whether they're just not ringing the meals up correctly or I'm just not paying attention as I go through the line (based on other reviews that I've read I'll say it's the former). Today was the last straw. Meals for two people equaled out to just short of $30, and, yes, you guessed it, the cashier was nasty again. She even dropped a piece of paper on one of the entrees on my tray and didn't bother to apologize. She just removed it with her bare hands, and her attitude dared me to say anything about it. I've been more than fair with this location, and I think that this will be the last time that I eat here. Inconsistent pricing + subpar service experience = a fail in my book every day of the week. I expect better from the restaurants in this area. =========== ***UPDATE 06/03/2015: As indicated above, I'm updating this review and upping my rating from two stars to four stars. After much consideration, I decided that a complaint was merited after the most recent negative experience with one of the cashiers as stated in my original review. He was very kind, gracious, and apologetic for the poor service experiences that I described to him, most notably the last incident where the cashier dropped a sheet of paper on one of my entrees without apology and then removed it with her bare hands. He also offered compensation for my diminished service experience. I've found that this kind of leadership is very rare in this day and time where good customer service has become a dying art, not only on the part of front-line personnel but also from a management position. I appreciate Larry's attentiveness to my concerns and his efforts to make my bad experience(s) right. Food quality was terrible. Pricing was obscene for the amount and type of food. Avoid this place like the plague. I will never eat here again. This location redefines the meaning of terrible. The cashier also rang up the meal incorrectly, charging almost twice the advertised price. Edit: Both myself and my friend ended up sick with food poisoning after the meal. I sincerely hope this location ends up closing in the near future before others have to suffer the poor service, bad food, and sickness that eating here provides. read more

This place serves the proper portions. The food is good but as with most cafeterias, it is a little plain. If you are here when they have their lunch special, you can get a fullfillng lunch for less than $10. Especially if you get water to drink. ughh -shivers- I got stuck here for work and they gave us meal coupons so we are here for free every night for over a week. I tried just about every main dish and only the chicken strips were worth having a second time. they are either dry and over cooked from sitting for too long or fresh and slightly undercooked. the sides are all really bland and the salads and desserts sucked. the cobbler had no real taste other than sweet and the cheesecake was awful. the service was welcoming and friendly but the place is outdated and the bathrooms just feel gross and in need of a deep clean and update as well. overall I wouldn't pay to eat here and I'm glad I didn't have to. read more

I was actually having a bad day until I ate here this afternoon. The restaurant was semi-full for lunch but I received excellent customer service. I had a baked chicken teriyaki that was incredibly delicious. I don't cook and I now want the recipe so I can have my wife make it at home! The sauce was incredible. I also had corn, Italian bread and a superb yellow rice. My meal tasted like I had a personal chef at my house; my food was seasoned perfectly! While eating, the attention I received from the manager and my waitress was surprisingly excellent. They made sure I did not need anything and checked on me regularly! Had a early dinner on Mother's Day with my sister at this location. Walked into the restaurant, the line was fully stocked and servers were there waiting to serve us. I had chicken fried chicken with jalapeno gravy, mashed potatoes and carrot souffle and my sister had chicken etoufee, broccoli rice and broccoli. The food was hot, well seasoned, and delicious. The staff checked with on on several occasions to ask if we needed anything. Lorraine, the manager made sure we were happy and atken care of. Will definitively go back again! read more

I decided to dine in instead of carry out and I had 5 different vegetables, most of which were pretty good. It took a while to get through the line even though there wasn't a line, because only a couple of employees were working the food line. Other employees were just wandering around and one was standing behind the prep island playing with her iPhone. The server did come to my table immediately and introduce herself, but I never saw her again until I got up to leave. Most of the dining room employees, including the cashier, seem to congregate at one table in the dining room that they sit around to socialize. I hate to see cafeteria style dining disappear because I really enjoy it, but this Piccadilly is in trouble. During the height of the dinner service there were only two or three tables occupied time and several people who came through to get takeout. I hope they can turn it around. read more

Food was ok. Had worse, had much better at other piccadilly's. I did not know it was a crime to be white in Stockbridge. My mother and I stopped by for a Sunday meal. When I asked for cabbage she started to get beets.Acted as if it were my mistake. Last I checked I do speak fluent English.Then I asked for a roll. When the dude behind me asked for a roll she said politely "white or wheat?" Maybe she was afraid to ask a white man the same question. BUT the topper was at the checkout. Girl said $19.72 so I give her a 20 and 72 cents. She proceeds to give me 96 cents back. When I questioned her she said " I TOLD YOU 19.76" Rather than just saying something from the get go. Like it was my fault. NOW THE REAL TOPPER. My mother is 88 y.o. she has no business carrying the tray. Well no one even offers to take her tray. The lady who was just standing there had just taken a tray for a younger lady with no obvious health issues. She just stares at me. SO I have to take my Mom's tray then come back and get mine. THE MANAGER WAS STANDING RIGHT BEHIND THE CASHIER THE WHOLE TIME! No one no matter what race or creed or color should be treated with disrespect. read more
