The good and service were excellent... the servers were respectful and friendly. I just wish I could try all their entrees in one visit... lol

Whenever I'm in the south , I look for a Piccadilly's. I was lucky enough to find one in the New Orleans area. I was torn between the etoufee & catfish but settled on the etoufee. Our dining room attendant was Victoria. She went out of her way to make sure that we had everything that we needed. I'll make it a point to visit there again.

I have been pleasantly surprised on my last two visits to Piccadilly. I went for lunch about a month ago- the food was hot and fresh. A good bit of it needed salt/seasoning but other than that was good. The standouts were the hamburger steak and fried chicken. What I was really impressed with was their weekend breakfast buffet. The price is $8.99 per person. This includes an omelette station, a French toast/waffle/pancake station. At these stations the food is cooked to order. Then buffet pans of cinnamon rolls, bacon, sausage, turkey sausage, eggs, eggs with peppers/onions/ham, potatoes, grits, biscuits, sausage gravy, peach cobbler, and fresh fruit. Drinks are also included. The food was really good, and I will definitely be back.

Two words. Salisbury steak! Mouth watering delicious! Better than the frozen TV dinner you're accustomed to. Seriously, it's good to eat cafeteria food once in a blue to humble even the most jaded foodies out there. I've been coming to Piccadilly since I was a kid, and it's very consistent. When I get in my nostalgic school food mode... it's here I go! It doesn't disappoint. Even the staff reminds me of school cafeteria workers. So nice and accommodating unless they're yelling at you for skipping the lines and eating twice! This is childhood/adulthood comfort food at its finest. Sides are on point, and you don't have to wait for a school lunch menu to get your fix! Boom!

I took pictures of the ceiling and this is what I saw. Mold

This place used to be great. As a sat down and began to eat my food I happened to look up and this is what I saw , lost my appetite and left. I will never eat there again

Not a bad deal for $15.

Piccadilly features good basic home cooking. My favorites are the fried catfish and the fried chicken. Both of these are really good deal if you get them on the dilly plate. Cost less than $10. The sides are OK. Sometimes they can use a little more seasoning. But that's me. I'm a New Orleanean. But do try the carrot soufflé. It really is good. Of course it's a cafeteria so they don't take reservations but everything on the menu is available for takeout. Which is really good if you're sick of fast food. Prices are reasonable depending on what you get. Today I got a stuffed fish with broccoli and green beans and fettuccine Alfredo for sides. Also came with bread and an ice tea. All of this cost me $15. Not a bad deal. The service is solid. The waitstaff is friendly and will come and see about you often. They don't hover but they will probably call you baby, dear or sweetheart. LOL

    Yum.

Surprisingly delicious. We were in fact on the way to another restaurant - but we found it closed that day. So hubby drove down Lapalco, and when he saw the PICCADILLY sign exclaimed, "Hey, I love that place..let's go eat!" We got inside and found a friendly staff, and wonderful food. Ric has a bad knee; we right away noticed how helpful the waitress was. PICCADILLY is very accommodating to people who have a physical challenge. She took his full tray, and slowly walked us to a nearby table. Where we proceeded to get comfy, and chow down. I had the chicken, which for steam table fare was amazingly moist and tasty in a thick mushroom gravy. Baked potato with cheese, fried okra, a delicious pie unlike anything I've ever had before. Ric had the shrimp, and a bowl of gumbo. Everything excellent and fresh. Nice crispy salads. BTW, portions are sizeable enough that you're likely to take some home. Probably great fun if you bring the kids. We plan to go back on a regular basis. Yes, it was THAT good!!

Always fresh, tasty and good meal here. If you leave hungry it's your own fault. Best fried chicken, cornbread and dessert anywhere.

I have to admit, I really didn't feel like cooking so the mister and I stopped by for a tray and rice. I ate here once when I moved here over 13 years ago and haven't been back since this recent visit. I even cut back on Chubbies and Popeyes and fry my own chicken at home. They are very popular with the majority of customers being of my persuasion, go figure. We are slowly killing ourselves eating this stuff all of the time but it was a long arduous day and cooking was the last thing I wanted to do. So, there's some flavor in the food but I won't spend $40 on a tray of wings again. Plus, we're trying to be more conscientious about what we consume these days, so there's that.

He made sure we had what we needed. 4. We ordered the roti, two tacos (Rasta & cauliflower) with coconut rice and plantain as the sides. The tacos were both so extra, so yummy, the roti was tasty- but the sweetness on top confused me- we loved the plantain but not the rice. We'd be back in a heartbeat. I had seen some news about them at some point, I love chicken wings, and it looked good. It's take out only. Not much to see besides the menu and the pictures of Adam and some other dudes. You can see the kitchen, little shotgun style place. I asked some questions about the sauce heat levels and ordered what he equated to medium regular buffalo I think. The names are strange to me. Just say Buffalo!!! Ugh. The wings were flavored very well, I liked the sauce a lot. The fries had a nice seasoning on them as well. The packaging absolutely ruined the food. It was all soaked when I opened it. That really sucked. It was about a 15 minute ride. They packed it in a wax lined, fully sealed box, similar to an Asian food box. It simply steamed the food while I drove. Bad move guys. I could not even eat the fries, they were just mush. Wings had a slight crispness in some spots after I left them open for 20 mins or so to dehydrate. As I said, the sauce was great so I did eat the wings. The wings are probably really good I bet if they were not ruined by the packing. 3 stars for the flavor. '26 - 96
