Recently I had a Landscape Project I thought I could accomplish by myself. It was to cover a hill with some kind of low maintenance ground cover. Also wanted to have the top of the hill ridge planted with some Evergreen Tree's. I became overwhelmed after seeing so many different ground covers and trees to select from. After reading reviews supplied by others, I chose Piazza Property Pros to do the work. This review is about Alex Strohm, the landscape pro Piazza Property Pros sent to discuss my landscape project. Alex spent time with me discussing various ways to accomplish my goal. Alex was extremely helpful explaining the differences between ground covers, growing zones, upkeep maintenance, and costs. His landscape knowledge base was amazing. He asked me an array of questions in what I wanted before presenting an approach. He explained in terms I understood about plant selections, growth rates and watering requirements so I would understand just what I was getting into. Always asking me questions so he could understand my goals. We had Piazza Property Pros upgrade a dated brick walkway entrance to our house and replace a brick patio with a stamped concrete patio. Whenever you sign up with a company to do work on your house, you don't know how it might turn out. We were more than pleased with the workmanship of the GREAT guys that did the work. They worked very hard and had exceptional attention to detail. They clearly cared about the quality of their work and functioned as an awesome team. My back hurt just watching them! They prepped the base layer for the concrete and very carefully stamped it and got it all set for final finishing. The walkway base was also meticulously prepared and the bricks were expertly cut, including some tricky curves. The walkway and patio turned out better than we expected. They also took great care to landscape the area that was disturbed. They added new topsoil and planted grass to make sure the structures flowed well with the existing lawn. My initial review was 5-star. They showed up with a big crew on 4/11/21; ground down several large tree stumps left when trees were taken down in 2020, added fill dirt, then topsoil for the entire property, and finished with seeding and starter fertilizer. When they were finished at the end of the day, it appeared that they had done a great job. Within a few weeks, we had a lawn that looked promising. In early May, I tried to contact Chris H. (the salesman for Piazza) because we noticed two low areas which needed to be addressed. I had to call numerous times before I could get him to come out and view the problem. He told me they would have to add topsoil and reseed two fairly large areas. He would let me know when this could be done. Again, after patiently waiting for a week or so, I then had to make multiple calls before I finally had to text the owner on May 26 to let him know I was unable to connect with Chris. When Chris called, he said we were on the schedule for June 29. Of course, that date came and went. No one showed up and no one called. When I called the office, I could only leave a message a young man; I never received a call back. On or about July 1, my wife stopped by Piazza's office on her way to work. She inquired as to why no one showed up on June 29. The woman in the office told her we were not on the schedule for the 29th. So my wife pointed to the chalkboard behind this lady which had my name written in for the 29th and the woman tried to tell my wife that wasn't for scheduling. After the yelling subsided, my life left and I received a call from Jim Piazza informing me his foreman would be out to take care of the issue that day. Now we're in early July (temps in the high 80s, mid 90s; not the idea time to plant grass seed. I'm in computers, not landscaping, so I relied on the professionals. I sent Jim pictures; he called me and said maybe there was a pH issue with the soil. There was grass there before they added the additional topsoil. And I purchased Scott's seed and it grew grass in about 10 days. There was no pH issue. Either there was no seed or the seed was old; I don't have the slightest idea. But at this point, I'm done with Piazza. The biggest disappointment was the total lack of communication, especially once they were paid.. read more

I wish I could leave a 0 star review as they don't even deserve a one star review. They constantly left our gates open which caused our dogs to get out on more than one occasion. We had several discussions on why this was unacceptable yet it still happened. We had less than sub par work done and when confronted about it they would say they would do it next time they were in the area, which never got completed. I ordered flowers to be installed in a new bed they made and the flowers died and they never followed through with their guarantee. The owner doesn't even know what is going on as he tried to claim money for work that was never completed due to their ineptitude. Calls don't get returned and but they have no problem calling to get their money. I would highly suggest you look at a different company other than Piazza Property 'Pros'. read more

I had called earlier in the week to schedule an appointment for someone to come out and give my wife and I a estimate on installing a new fence. Our appointment was scheduled for Wed evening at 5:30. 5:45 comes around and the gentleman hasn't arrived yet. I had called the company and the lady that answered the phone said that the gentleman rescheduled me to following evening. This was news to me since I didn't receive a phone call from him asking if that was ok. Regardless, it is now the following evening and I receive a phone call from Jim minutes before he was schedule to arrive asking if we can push the appointment back. I asked him for how long and he said a hour. An hour, seriously? 10 minutes, sure I can understand, but a hour. Sorry, that doesn't work for us. Appointments are made for a reason. Poor communication and poor first impressions for Piazza Property Pro. My wife and I will be taking our business elsewhere. read more

I had a block wall done and my front walkway reset. Owner grossly underestimated, and the project cost me about $2000 more than expected. While the workers were friendly, they left personal trash & cig butts everywhere!!! They even threw their trash in my neighbor's yard and left debris on her driveway. This started a year of hell for me as she was less than understanding. My walkway was set incorrectly the 1st time- The guy doing it didn't speak any English & misunderstood what was to be done. After all that- 2 months later the walkway was uneven again. The owner never Returned my calls despise several messages. A warranty is hard to take advantage of when there's no response!
