Great feedback and results. I then decided to give Stephen a larger project of doing a full bathroom remodel. Stephen was very confident in his skills and thought he could handle the project. Stephen got in way over his head, his plumbing and tile work was extremely bad People make mistakes, things happen. It was not the mistakes that caused me to write this, it's the lack of integrity. I paid Stephen over $11,000 and had to spend an additional $12,500 to fix what he did for my customer. How someone handles a situation like this says a lot about their integrity and moral compass, it was very clear Stephen does not have integrity. Outside of this, Stephen had an employee working with him in this project. That employee showed up at my customers home asking for money. Stephen was not paying his employees. Stephen also used my electrician for a weekend project, never paid him for the time he worked.

It's hard to describe how awful working with Ryan and his company has been. We gave him a deposit…read morein June to begin a project for us in early July. July began and one of his crew members came out and did a small amount of digging the first week they were to begin work. Weeks went by and it quickly became apparent that the $10,000 deposit we provided was used for Lord knows what and not to purchase materials for our project as it was intended. We continue to try and work with him as we figured it was very unlikely that we will see that $10,000 back. In a last ditch effort to get this project to happen and not lose our deposit, We paid directly to the supplier in October to get materials and that was when work actually began. Once the money we paid to the contractor was dried up, work ceased and he has been ignoring us for the last several weeks. We are still owed a built-in grill and for him to finish off the patio that he built so it's usable (approx $2500 worth of work and supplies that have been paid for) We originally contracted with him to do both a deck and a patio but once we saw that nothing was happening, my husband decided to do the deck himself. We asked for a revised contract to show that the scope of the project has changed and Ryan still has not provided it to this day. He verbally told us that we were "paid in full " with what we paid for the supplier and to him. We had used him because he did a project for our neighbor. Our neighbor had relayed that he wasn't the fastest in getting a project done (like many other contractors) but he was very pleased with the outcome and the patio looks very nice. Another neighbor of ours and us signed up for work with him at the same time and both of us have gotten screwed along the way. My husband and I are both very reasonable people. Ryan relayed that he had health issues and we'd have been very understanding if he had just come forth with that information rather than us having to badger him to get him to communicate. Now we are stuck with a project that is not complete and are going to have to find someone else to finish it for us.
