Super punctual and professional and a great price. After dealing with some less than great landscapers this was a welcome change.

I prefer mom and pop shops to chain stores. Sometimes it's a bit busy in there, but you do get very personalized attention. I took 2 lamps to be repaired there and they charged me only $20 apiece. I also took a chandelier to have some work done and get cleaned up, and they did a beautiful job at a very fair price. It was far less than I expected. I needed a light for a powder room and was trying to decide on a couple. They took down the display models, wired them so I could plug them into an outlet, and let me take them home to check them out in my bathroom. They didn't charge me anything to do so! It's a good thing I did take them home, because the one I thought I preferred would nit work out there. So it was good I had the back up. That one also happened to be on sale, and I got a much better price than I expected. I bought a ceiling fan as well. Upon installing it, the motor wasn't working properly. The store ordered another to replace it. Again, they were very helpful and offered to replace it immediately.

All my life I have loved looking in lighting shop windows - all the beautiful, sparkling glass, all…read morethe fanciful and practical designs. I've never had an occasion to be in one, however, until I recently picked up some cool vintage lamps at auction that needed re-wiring and shades. After checking out Yelp and inquiring with friends, I was pointed to Frazier Home Lighting, so I loaded the lamps up and off we went. The shop is located on a busy section of Lancaster Avenue, in a sort of industrial/mercantile area. They have a parking lot with plenty of spaces, and multiple doors you can go in, and it doesn't seem to matter too much which one you use. I was greeted quickly by Janice, and explained to her what I was looking for. The lamps, each weighing about 20 pounds, were still in my car and she quickly told me to pull up right next to a door and sent one of her employees to bring the lamps in for me. She asked what color my table was so we could choose wire color (dark brown), asked if I had the "globes" - what I had was what I brought so I said no - and told me to come back in a week. Okey dokey. So a week later I go in. They have my lamps, they have one 'globe' which turns out to be a glass piece that encircles the bulb. I had no idea this was even part of the lamp, they are an unusual make and they don't come to auction often. They showed me how the globe fits and they also had the correct size bulb, as again, these are older and the socket is different. Then they went with me over to shades and worked with me to find a shade I liked - even offering to have me take some shades home to see how I liked them. I found one I liked and they loaded me up. Paid, no problem, one globe is on order, they will call me when it's ready. I'm SO glad I didn't just try to go get a rewiring kit as friends suggested. I would never have known about the missing piece, and it makes a difference in how the lamps distribute light. So thank you Home Lighting for your expertise and excellent service. Definitely worth the trip to Frazer and the cost to have these handled professionally.

If a business was a munitions depot that Navy Seabees mistakenly built at the end of a railroad…read morefork, but the other "tine" of the railroad was a clear, safe throughway and you were the engineer operating a speeding train, but had no idea which railroad tine to take, how would you know where to go; this was the quandary I was faced with when deciding where to send irreplaceable antique hardware to for new castings. After a couple of weeks of correspondence between Ball and Ball and I, including being asked to provide instructions regarding what metal to use, quantity of recasting for each item, what finish to provide, Etc., Ball and Ball Foundry, quoted a price that I felt was reasonable, so I agreed to the deal with a pandemic handshake. After purchasing packaging supplies and U.S.P.S. Priority Mail shipping, I sent original hardware to Ball and Ball, with my fingers crossed. After confirming receipt of the hardware at Ball and Ball foundry, via U.S.P.S. Priority Mail tracking number, I asked Ball and Ball when they anticipated the work to be completed, but after one week, no reply. After several attempts to contact Ball and Ball, I was sweating bullets (perhaps from the Seabee munitions depot), but with Ball and Ball and my hardware so far away, I could only wait. After a week had passed, I found a U.S.P.S. Priority Mail package, but did not expect my original hardware and recast items to be delivered because I had not paid for the items in advance. Enclosed in the package was an invoice with a message scribbled on it stating "With your requests and demands, we do not feel we will be able to complete your order to your satisfaction. We will return all hardware intact." What Ball and Ball need to return too, is the cost of packaging supplies and Priority Mail that I wasted on this ill-fated incident. If a foundry can not accommodate orders involving specific quantities, finishes or metals, then they are in the wrong business. Ball and Ball have not only wasted my money, but my time! Caveat to all who seek a (reproduction) foundry, pass on Ball and Ball hardware reproductions; they take their moniker literally and sure have dropped the ball!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!…read more RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE (By the way it's the owners) SLOW ORDER TURNAROUND. NO CHECKOUT PROCESS. NO ORDER CONFIRMATION. QUESTIONABLE CREDIT CARD SECURITY. Placed order 2 weeks ago. No information on the website regarding production or delivery time. Called Customer Service and spoke to a hungover and/or disinterested individual to place my order. Credit card info had to be communicated verbally because they do not have a checkout on the site. No confirmation emails until 3 additional calls had been placed to Customer Service. Now my card has been compromised. This is the ONLY company to whom credit card data was given over the phone. I asked what processes were in place to protect my data and was met with vagaries and denials instead of "we've never had any issues, we have x, y, and z in place to protect our customer data, tell me what happened and we'll look into it, or thank you for letting us know". Clearly these people have no idea how to run a customer focused organization. Still haven't received my order. Called again today. No information except "maybe it will get there this week". Now his tone has become quite rude and condescending, "I shouldn't expect a custom item quickly...it's not like a clock can be made in a day". I asked to whom I was speaking - it turns out it's one of the owners. It must be nice to own a business and treat your customers so poorly. I inform him that production and delivery information is not communicated on the site - nor by any of customer service person reps that have had to be contacted over the past two weeks. Both my customer and I are extremely disappointed and very unhappy with Ball and Ball.
