We love Piatti! We grew up in the area so we have been many times over the years, but recently, my husband and I had our rehearsal dinner there and it was amazing. Tami was the absolute best to plan with!! Pretty tasty spot with a variety of food. It is expensive to me but it's in Danville so it's expected. The bread and dip is really good and has a unique blend of spices in the oil and vinegar. I recommend the olives and Brussel sprout appetizers. I've had the grilled chicken breast sandwich with a side salad and it's very good and very filling. The last time I went I tried the lemon ricotta ravioli with salmon added. It had great flavor but I did wish there was more of it. It felt very pricey for the amount of food. My wife and I had a fantastic dinner here last weekend. Our pasta dishes were scrumptious - my bolognese was filling and full of rich flavor. We were able to find a single seat at the bar, since it was fully booked but soon another place opened up, and we had a chance to get a glass of wine and some food. Friendly bartender, good pour while we perused the menu. Great complementary French bread with olive oil. Ordered a cup of the lentil soup that was nice and hot and tasty. The mista salad was fresh. Shared a good margherita pizza. The only lacking item was a very dry flourless chocolate cake but the accompanying vanilla bean ice cream was able to moisturize it... The food is always decent, the restaurant is clean and we never had a problem with food not being fresh. Tonight, we went to Piatti's for dinner because we were already in the Livery. I ordered the salmon even though I was craving a burger but burgers are only served on the lunch menu until 4 PM. My partner ordered the rigatoni to share with the baby. When I ordered the salmon, I requested that it was cooked medium but it was cooked more medium well when it arrived. That wasn't so bad because the the chimichurri sauce on top was super flavorful! My partner ordered the rigatoni bolognese and it was cooked so perfectly that I will probably order that next time we come here. Firstly, the door is pretty hard to find! Go up the ramp that says exit to get in. Went midday on a weekend and there wasn't really a wait. All of the portions were pretty good, ended up taking boxes home. UPDATE: Changed from 3 stars to 5 stars after receiving a message from management updating me on the menu items that were removed. I was told the Mary's chicken would return that week so we went in shortly after, and true to their word, Mary's chicken was back on the menu and tasted delicious as always! Thank you for listening to your customers! Went on the second day after they reopened and while the service was great, the menu was not. We were bummed that they took off the two items our family loves, the Mary's Chicken and the Chicken Parmesan. They recommended another chicken plate that they said was similar to Mary's Chicken. The chicken was similar with the exception it was 1/2 the size of what you normally would get, the stuff they paired it with I didn't care for at all. It appeared to look like large white beans and some other stuff mixed together, it looked and tasted like it was on top of bean soup. I always say, if it's not broke, don't fix it and I think they really made a mistake with the menu changes. I hope they return the Mary's Chicken and the Chicken parmesan because those were the items we went for! read more

I've been here a handful of times and their food is consistently good. I ordered the chicken piccata today. The portion was pretty good. They seem to be a roll with their piccata sauce as it repeats in their menu. Rightfully so, it's good. I subbed out the pasta for mash potatoes. Unfortunately not 5 stars for me. The waitress was "nice" but not really. She asked us if we wanted bread, like it was complementary (at least it use to be). We were charged $3. There is also an extra 4% employee fee tagged on. Like a previous reviewer - I have a problem with front of house. Calling up to make a reservation on a non busy day of the week at lunch hour couldn't give us any seat barr 5:15 and 8:15 - restaurant closes at 9 ! when asked about the booth seats - immediately there was 'they're all reserved' but you can go sit at the bar. I felt an air of arrogance in this hostess so I left my tel# for what it was worth with her. 5 minutes later she calls back to tell me we have a table at 6:15 but no booth . With this feeling of superiority coming from front of house - despite my better judgement - I took the slot - but after further thought cancelled it. I use to go to Piatti a lot up until a few years ago - stopped at pandemic - never did I feel this way before - but there's plenty of other choices out there - so we booked elsewhere - front of house needs work in better handling customers . read more

Parking was easy to find. We were brought complimentary warm bread and dip. The calamari was a large portion and enough for 4 adults to share. It was okay. I asked our server which pastas were made in-house. Seemed most of them are with the exception of a few. I appreciate the honesty. My chitarra with prawns was delicious. Thank goodness because the way it was plated was pretty awful. I was surprised how generous they were with the prawn portions. Unfortunately they weren't as generous with our dining companion who had also ordered the same. So some inconsistency there. The tiramisu had dark rum and seemed interesting. Unfortunately the rum was too overpowering for me and all I could taste was rum. I get trying to be different but classics are classics for a reason. The Bruschetta was covered in garlic! What a disappointment! The roasted butternut squash soup bland. My 2 guests truly enjoyed the salmon. The service was sporadic but overall okay. Everyone knows that you are unable to have a conversation as the acoustics are very poor. This was our second visit since the reopening. I used to love Piatti's, but it is not enjoyable now due to the EXTREMELY LOUD atmosphere. When the restaurant is full and busy, it is almost impossible to hear others at the table. It's a place for YOUNG people who don't care if they lose more hearing, but not for seniors, I'm sad to say. Don't leave Piatti without trying the bread! One in our group said the calamari is the best she had so far. It is very tender and crispy on the outside . Bruschetta is soo good it will definitely be a repeat on my next visit. I got the chiattara pasta, it lacks a tad of seasoning to my taste but the shrimp is so fresh. Chicken piccata is very tasty. Bolognese was also good and the lasagna is just okay. Generous addition of grated cheese for our pasta, can't beat that. There was also ample serving for the chicken panini. We got one bottle of Rose' -loved it. I saw some people brought their own bottle-not sure how much is the corkage fee. Can't hurt to bring your favorite wine. To end on a sweet note, we tried the bread pudding-just the right sweetness and paired well with the ice cream. Would love to get the pannaCota and tiramisu again next time. Had a group dinner at Piatti. The ambiance was good and we were seated promptly. The place appears a bit cramped though. We started off with cocktails - good choice and good value for the money. Their wine list was limited. I started off with the beet salad that was very nicely made. Portions were just right. I then had their meat lasagna - good taste and the quantity was perfect. We didn't have a reservation but they were able to seat us in a cozy booth as long as we were done by a specific time. We never felt rushed and our server, Miguel was great. Returned for my Bday a few days ago and our server was much better this time ! My Chicken Sandwich was wonderful loved the red pepper aioli, for dessert the Tiramisu was so yummy!! Fiancé and I decided to have a late anniversary dinner since we were in the area. Upon arriving, I notified the host that we didn't have a reservation. There were seats open in the patio area and we definitely didn't mind since it was so nice outside but I think that was my first mistake. Our server did not even know we were there... there was another table that was seated after us and their server came. It was when I really had to go to the restroom and informed the host that our server probably forgot about us. Not sure what the situation was there but eventually, our server did come and took our order. Let me say that the food was delicious!! We had the calamari, arugula salad (sub goat cheese with shaved parmesan), salsicce, and the pork sugo pappardelle. The reason for the 3/5 stars is because of service. It was understandable that maybe our server forgot our table in the beginning but it continued throughout our entire dinner. Server was friendly but I don't know if he was absorbed inside the restaurant or what but there were 2-3 tables beside ours and he went to their tables at least 2-3x before ever stopping by ours. It was almost like he didn't want to look at our table... it was so obvious we were being ignored I'm pretty disappointed. The closest table to us was probably 5 feet away and I raised my hand multiple times but he didn't even look towards our table. We wanted to leave but couldn't even do so because asking for the check took us a good 15-20 minutes and we had to go to the host lol It's hard when you want to rate the restaurant 5/5 because the food was delicious, but service was lacking. Came to Piatti for my daughter's birthday dinner. The atmosphere is nice, bright and lively. The service is great and very attentive. The food is just ok, nothing to really rave about. We ordered the pesto deviled eggs and fried calamari to start. The eggs were ok but the egg itself tasted overcooked. The fried calamari had a good flavorful batter. For my main entree, I had the Spinach Ricotta Ravioli and added shrimp as protein. The raviolis were good but seemed like a small portion compared to the other dishes. Maybe because it was presented in a flat plain plate compared to the my daughters dish. My wife did tell them about my daughter's birthday, but no one came to sing to her unfortunately. Generally, both the service & food is excellent but not this time which was unfortunate because we had family from out of town and wanted to have them get the awesome experience. We had reservations at 5:30pm and we were seated promptly. Our server was David S. and he took a while to greet our table. I had to ask for his name and luckily I did because I had to call him over more than once because he was not very attentive. Not sure what kept him busy as other employees filled our water, delivered the appetizers, salads and main dishes and came with fresh grated cheese. David only took our order, brought cocktails and the birthday dessert. The food was delicious as always. Several people had the Petrale Sole and the rest had Lasagna. A small piece of tiramisu was brought out with a candle which was nice and dessert menus dropped off. We would have ordered dessert but it was 10-15 minutes before David returned to ask us if we wanted dessert. By that time, the bday person had finished their dessert long before. No offer of coffee etc. We are used to great service and were very disappointed so we will not be back for a while. read more

The scenery is beautiful and a wonderful place to go for outdoor eating. We came here to celebrate my sisters birthday. We loved how they incorporated a custom menu wishing her a happy birthday. It was very special! We reserved two tables for 11 people to arrive however, a few guests were unable to make it. We asked the hostess if we could combine the tables so we wouldn't be isolated from the rest of our guests but she seemed unpleasant with the request. The waiter was kind of enough to have us all fit into one table and allow us to do this.
