Tomahawk 16oz pork chop with spinach.

One of my favorites on the Sqr in Marietta. Reserved the window :) got seated promptly. The service is always good. I ordered the Tomahawk Pork chop with an orange marmalade glaze and a side of spinach. It's delicious and I recommend it. Tiramisu for dessert the perfect evening.

We have eaten here a few times and have never been blown away; the food is always just okay. I will say in the past, the chicken parm is really tasty, their homemade rolls are great, and we recently tried the aranchini which we liked! But the spaghetti and pasta sauce was bland, the lasagna was unique but couldn't tell what I was eating, and their mocktail was just super sweet. Service was superb!

We enjoyed a great experience here for dinner for our Anniversary. We got a window seat. The waitress, Maddie, was very sweet and accommodating and was fairly knowledgeable of the menu. The restaurant was quiet, quaint, and very charming and had that vintage decor and feel. They are renowned for their wine list and I had a glass of a delicious, slightly sweet Cab with dinner. We started with the Arancini which was delicious as well as a green salad. I had the special for dinner of Risotto with Lambchops and a Huckleberry glaze and was it scrumptious. The lamb was very well prepared and not overcooked. They were grilled. I did feel that some of the food was devoid of necessary seasoning. The owner walks around and greets you to ensure that you enjoy the meal. That was a nice touch. Parking can be kind of time (surprising for a Wednesday night), but the Marietta Square is often very busy during the weekend and weekdays. I recommend them for date night or a dinner with family.

Best Italian food in the city great service. The owner is wonderful. The bread is amazing. I can't recommend this place any higher. You need to to go there

I had seen this restaurant a few times before when we were at the Square for other activities. For whatever reason, we always seem to have been there more at lunchtime so this place was never open. When I got tickets for a show at the Strand Theater, I saw this listed among the handy places to eat, so I made a reservation for 6:30 p.m. We arrived at the Square a bit early. The navigation app I was using recommended parking about a block away at a pay lot, and there seemed to be no spaces + heavy traffic around the Square anyway. I found the lot and ended up paying $6. It was just across the railroad tracks west of the Square. We arrived at the restaurant about 20 minutes before our reservation. They looked busy, but did have a free table, so we got seated. They seemed to be about one server short versus the size crowd they had, but the staff managed it. Their layout is (facing the place) a bar area on the right and a large dining room on the left. We entered via the bar, as it was the first door we came to, but I think you're supposed to enter via the left door for dining. They accommodated parties from 2 to 10 when we were there. Our server got our drinks and then brought our complimentary bread - a large, warm roll and some smaller melba toast type pieces. It was good. Their wine list was good. Our server then told us about the specials. I got a squash ravioli dish while my wife opted for a trout special. We split a garden salad, which was easily big enough for that. The lady who I assume was the owner, as she was circulating between tables and chatting with guests, stopped by to ensure we were okay at this point. Pacing on the meal was leisurely. I don't mean that in a bad way, but if you normally budget an hour for dinner, you may want to buffer in 15 extra minutes. I never felt rushed or delayed though. Our food arrived and I was surprised by the sheer size of the ravioli - I only received 2, but the food volume was easily as much or more than I'd normally get in another Italian restaurant. They were huge! We opted to skip dessert so we were able to finish our main dishes, barely. I was really full, though. Prices were reasonable. It isn't quite up into the 'fine dining' range. The value for the food quality is good, though. I'd consider returning here, though we don't seem to wind up in the area at dinner time much.

Ate here before a show. Showed up at 7 and figured we would have plenty of time to make an 8pm show. Well just getting our bill at 8:30. Took an hour to get our food, which was marginal. Place needs to get better at their service. If you can't handle the business don't sit them.

$8 charge for "on the rocks".

Maybe next time, and maybe a whole pie instead, as I'm not typically a fan of pizza that stays out on the counter for a bit. That's just me, I bet this is usual, so no points off to them for this. I decided to grab The Marino from their menu. I really enjoyed the meatballs. They were super flavorful, a lot better than most places. The bread they used seemed to have been more on the Ciabatta side. The texture of the bread was soft and not hard to bite into. The sauce was not doused on this, which was great for me, so I didn't get any in my beard. It said panini, but I didn't sense the bread was pressed at all. Maybe there is something different about this in Italy that I'm not aware of? The sandwich was great overall, I wish it was larger or had an option to be larger. At $9.99, I really can't complain. Coulda just gotten two. Maybe next time! :D The shop is really cool and carries a lot of Italian/EU imports. I was able to find a jar of Nutella that is imported, which if you know, imported Nutella taste different than US Nutella and comes in a glass jar instead of plastic and taste creamier. They also had lots of pastas, sauces and candies. Some Easter stuff leftover as well at the time of this post. EU easter candy is better than American easter candy. :D When you walk in, the line sort of leads to the back and you make your way up to the front. In the glass, there are various burrata's available for around $8 each. Good for making your own pizza or perhaps an Italian dish. I didn't pay attention to what milk was used, but this is Georgia, so you make do. The drinks are all canned or bottled. They had some imported sparkling waters. You can tell by the fact that the caps don't twist off and are attached to the bottle intentionally because the EU requires this to avoid pollution by people leaving bottle caps all over the place. The young lady at the counter super knowledgeable and ready to answer questions. She was very sweet and good to talk to. I came after a lunch rush, so she asked me to pick a seat and let her know so she can clean it up. Very much appreciated that. Place is a little small and not a lot of seats. If you happen to come during lunch hour, be prepared to get the order to go and sit outside or across in the park center of the square. It's very well maintained from the looks of it and would be a great picnic area. Overall, I enjoyed this location very much. I would definitely come again to try some of their other offerings.

Over the bar was a large screen TV showing beautiful scenes of Italy, with contemporary Italian pop playing in the background. I started with the soup of the day, which was lobster bisque that was so full of lobster that I would call it a stew versus a soup. The complimentary bread was slightly toasted and topped with aromatic herbs that paired perfectly with the olive oil with which it was served. My entree was a special, and was the short rib. There was nothing "short" about it as the huge beef rib had a bone that overhung the plate that a caveman would be proud to own. The beef was fork tender and the steak knife provided with it wasn't necessary. It was paired with a delicious and sweet wine sauce. And the side was tender gnocchi (al tartufo) in a rich and creamy sauce flavored with truffle. Since they also have Risotto al Tartufo on the menu, that will definitely be on my list for my next visit. It was chilly went we visited, but on a nice day, the patio would be nice too. We ordered and were not in any kind of hurry. Probably a good thing, since the kitchen seemed to be very backed up and the food came out very slowly. The servers also seemed to be a little overwhelmed, so I'm wondering if the crowd was heavier than expected. Please don't take this as complaint - the service staff were very friendly and did their best to keep diners smiling. Unfortunately - the food was a little underwhelming. We ordered calamari - it was slightly over cooked and chewy. For dinner, we had the gnocchi and chicken saltimbocca. The safe in the chicken dish was overpowering (I ended up having to scrape it off) and the chicken was overcooked. It says a lot that my favorite thing on the plate was the sautéed spinach (which was delicious!). I really, really wanted to love this place, but I'm not sure I would visit again. There are too many places in this area that have much better food for the same price point.

That is a uniquely American invention unheard of in Italy. Bread goes with the meal and if the olive oil is good, you just drizzle a little on the bread. (American tradition) When you offer Sausage, chicken, shrimp etc. on your on your caccio e Peppe that's American not Italian. For heaven's sake, it's called Cacio e Peppe for a reason. Also, they proudly use Gran Padano, from Northern Italy, instead of the correct Pecorino Romano from Southern Italy. It's supposed to be a simple Roman Dish! They make it a cheese wheel, so if you are looking for an American/Italian/Benihana experience, this is for you. There was waaaaaay too much raw garlic in the Penne alla Vodka (American, NOT Italian). I don't mean minced or finely chopped. There were chunks of it. However we were given continuous updates on when the table would be ready, they apologized, and they were very understanding. Considering we were a large party in an intimate space, we understood and only waited about 20 minutes before the table was ready. I randomly decided that I wanted Italian so we decided to check them out for the first time. Mezza Luna is located in a very small plaza with a tight parking lot. I'm so glad that I read the reviews in advance about parking, but I still wasn't prepared for what we saw. Surprisingly, there were 2 or 3 open spots when we visited around 7pm. We had reservations and were quickly seated after being greeted. The restaurant itself was quite intimate, offering only a few tables that were laid out in a manner that had us all quite close. But it worked! Since we had our son with us, they already had a high chair ready for us but he slept through the entire dinner, which also shows how peaceful it actually was in there. I started with a glass of chianti and it paired perfectly with the complimentary starter bread. That focaccia was so fresh! The crust had a great crunch but it was still soft and fluffy inside. We went with the meatball appetizer special which included 4-5 meatballs covered in marinara, fresh tomatoes and burrata. They were delicious, although the tomatoes being cold was a bit of a surprise. For dinner, I went for the chicken piccata and my partner opted for the chicken marsala. Both were great and packed with flavor. Such an unassuming place with tons of flavor waiting inside - perfect for date night or just a nice Italian dinner!
