mussels

Gianni's & Mac's ended up being one of those accidental great nights, the kind where you stop in for a drink and suddenly realize you've stayed for dinner. We went on a Wednesday afternoon after work, planning to keep it casual. The vibe was relaxed right away, and our waiter was friendly and patient, which set the tone for the whole experience. We started with drinks, an Old Fashioned and a Frosty the Nightcap. The Frosty was fun to try, but the Old Fashioned definitely stole the show, so we went back for another round of those. Food-wise, we ordered the mussels, which came in a generous portion and were flavorful and satisfying, and the bolognese, which was hearty and comforting, exactly what you want when a quick drink turns into dinner. One of the highlights was the atmosphere. The back room had really cute Christmas decor, giving it a cozy, festive feel that made us want to linger. The front area near the bar is more laid-back and chill, but still a great spot to hang out, grab a drink, and unwind after work. Overall, solid drinks, good food, friendly service, and a vibe that works whether you're popping in for cocktails or settling in for a full meal.

Charcuterie Bar

Gianni & Mac's Ristorante has been on my list for a while now. We decided to try it for a late lunch on a Sunday. Italian is not usually my first choice when we go out. #1 most Italian is so Americanized these days so it's nothing special. #2 I just don't eat a lot of carbs these days. THIS Italian restaurant may have swayed me to reconsider. When you walk in, the place is stunning. Even during the day. Right off the bustling square of downtown Marietta Gianni & Mac's is both stylish and relaxed. The place is beautifully laid out with plenty of areas for large parties. It has a really nice bar area, and when you walk in, you see to your left the area where I believe they make their charcuterie boards. Seems to be something they are known for. Our waiter, Santiago greeted us very warmly and we immediately felt at home with him. He was an excellent server. We let him know that we had never been there and he showed us a few recommendations that all sounded amazing! Since we came for a late lunch, he suggested we try ordering a small charcuterie board which came with 2 cheese options and two meat options with pickled cherry peppers and amazing green olives with grilled bread. For the cheese We tried the buffalo mozzarella and the Toma which was very similar to a sharper and slightly firmer Brie. For the meat we had Speck and a salami. Our favorite combo was the Speck with Toma, with a little fig preserves. These were all Santiago's recommendations and he was spot on! For our entree we split the Pappardelle Pasta with Bolognese. This was a lot of food and they were kind enough to split the dish into 2 bowls for us which was an awesome touch that we weren't expecting. Our whole dining experience created a desire for us to come back. This will be high on my list of Italian restaurants and I won't hesitate to recommend to anyone. The bar looked amazing and I saw some pretty tasty drinks going out. We didn't have dessert. Next time! There will be a next time. Can't wait to come back.

I really like the atmosphere of this restaurant. I do think that the Italian food is marketed as fresh and authentic. Though it is marketed as such, I do feel as if some of the food lacked a little bit of flavor. Overall, it wasn't bad and I will revisit this place to try a different dish. However, I do believe my pasta could've taken more flavor. I loved the fresh Parmesan and my soup was super tasty This is located in downtown of Marietta so it is conveniently in an area with other shops and restaurants. There is very limited parking in front of the restaurant, but there is public parking across the street that does cost. I received a great service from our server and the manager was also very kind! again, I definitely think it is worth a revisit, despite any lack of flavor in some of the food.

Black Diamond Bolognese with Sausage

This was a great experienced with the team yesterday for our holiday brunch. It's perfect for large parties. They have full bar. Parking can be a challenge in downtown Marietta. We had an assortment of appetizers, and the calamari is my favorite. Get the Black Diamond Bolognese. It is so substantive-you're going to have enough for another meal. My only recommendation would be that the dish needs a bit more seasoning. Otherwise, the experience was great. The servers were nicely attentive, kind, and accommodating.

This Italian restaurant is absolutely elegant inside the atmosphere alone makes you feel like you're somewhere special. The staff were incredibly sweet, attentive, and made the whole dining experience relaxing and enjoyable. The pasta dishes were the highlight. Each sauce had its own unique flavor, and every one I tried was amazing. The cheese wheel experience was my favorite part , watching them prepare the pasta right in front of you added such a fun and authentic touch

Sooo good- always so cozy and delicious, great portions and friendly staff! The best work lunch spot. The inside is so chic and beautiful.

Service was good and that's abouttttt it in my opinion. The food was mediocre and for the price point didn't leave any impression aside from wanting more. The inside was very overcrowded and it can only be fixed by more space between tables.

Gianni & Mac's gets high marks for presentation. Each drink was crafted well and served in fun decorative drink ware. The Cacio E Pepe was served table side in a cheese wheel but presentation and ambiance is where the high marks end. While the cacio e pepe preparation was cool, the taste was not. There was absolutely no flavor. It was the blandest thing I've ever had. I don't think there was a spec of salt or any other seasoning. On the bright side, the arancini was good.

Very nice, upscale pasta place. Super delicious but a little pricey, especially for the wine! The flavor is definitely there though! Huge portions that you can easily split with someone. Parking in Marietta Square is always a pain but I would love to check this place out again! Super delicious pasta!

Opry Ski Pop-Up Christmas 2025

I really enjoyed my experience in Gianni & Mac's' Holiday Opry Ski Pop-Up. The reservations were hard to get and I can definitely see why. I will say that they seemed to overbook a little, as the seating did take a little bit and we didn't have a server for a while. However, once the drinks came out everything else was amazing. I had the Salmon and it was absolutely amazing. It was glazed so well and paired with delicious potatoes and spinach. The meatball appetizer was also delicious--they are humongous! The portions are all humongous! The decorations for the pop-up were so festive and really created such a cheerful ambiance. I definitely want to come back and try even more of their menu!

Gianni and Mac's on Marietta Square -- Chef Gianni brings the heart of Florence, Italy to Georgia with fresh, imported ingredients and soulful Italian flavors. Absolutely unforgettable. Service is Friendly, attentive, and praise-worthy. Ambiance offers Elegant interior, roomy patio, lively but not overpowering acoustics. I like that I can hear the person speaking to me from across the table. It's a great spot for celebrations. We were there celebrating my grandson's Pre-K graduation and we all loved it and would return! Order anything with truffles! They import from Florence Italy!!!

Penne Vodka and Chicken Marsala

We had a great time at this place. Our server, Jessica, was extraordinary. She was nice, knowledgeable of the food and gave her suggestions, was friendly and always checked up on us. The food was delicious. We would go back and try other dishes on the menu.

My prompt to my gpt this morning included "family owned, cozy place, food that hugs you like a grandma after a long time away, etc" this is one of the best places I've been in USA so far. I also woke up idealizing to only try new things and no repeats but I've already ordered a second drink haha I absolutely don't want to leave. As soon as you walk in they greet you and help you out, then the bartender (I came by myself so I sat on the bar) approached me with the most warmth and helped me getting something according to her experience and taste but considering my taste and preferences. The food came (quick for how busy it is 12 min) The food tastes just like a grandmas food that she's been working the entire day on it. I can't wait to be back here. Also I didn't have anything the entire day and couldn't finish my plate because the amount of food is way more than decent. Place is clean, music is great and volume even better, you can see families bringing their babies to enjoy meals here. Also everyone that works here and so nice and polite even if they're not serving you this is my favorite place from now on and I will not shut about it haha adding a picture of my drink (which we are repeating ) and plate that I'll be bringing the leftover home

We were a group of 5 and that was pushing it so I'd definitely say no more than 5-6 people. We sat outside and the weather was beautiful. Just a heads up--this restaurant seems to be dog friendly. As a dog owner myself that is something I'd like to know but I understand the hesitation when you're sitting and eating next to a dog. However, doesn't take away from the cleanliness or the service of the restaurant. We ordered the Mezze trio as an appetizer. Everyone loved the hummus however my favorite was the red beet root. I also loved that they can refill the pita bread which went by quickly. Most of the table ordered the lamb skewers which I thought was a good. I'd give it an 8/10. I thought the flavors paired nicely and it was a different taste than the skewers I've ordered before. My brother ordered the salmon and he really enjoyed that. The service was nice however it did take at least 45 minutes for us to get our food which was a bummer. Definitely could see this being a nice, chill lunch or dinner spot.

From the space to the beverages to the service, there was not a single miss here. This is not your typical warehouse or industrial park brewery/distillery. A beautiful brick, stand alone building greets you with a nice outdoor seating around. Inside is a beautifully decorated space with tall ceilings and tons of natural light pouring in. There is a long bar to the left and a merchandise area to the right with seating in the middle. Along the back is an exposed brewhouse you can look down on. There are over a dozen different flavors of cider you can choose from ranging between dry and sweet. You will also find their spirits to enjoy neat or in one of the hand crafted cocktails. I enjoyed my flight of ciders but was blown away by the cocktails. Our server, Sarah, was TOP NOTCH. Super fun, friendly, and energetic. She was extremely knowledgeable to all the product as well as the history of the business. Her passion made for an enjoyable experience. I cannot recommend this place enough and will absolutely be returning on a regular basis.

Upon selecting our own seating, we were informed that they were NOT serving brunch and they were out of eggrolls. Additionally, our server is stuck in traffic, so we have to wait until her arrival. While waiting for our server to arrive, we were "entertained" by an unaccompanied child a few times. There were 6 women in our party. All enjoyed their food and drinks (which were strong). I ordered the Rasta Pasta with no protein. I wanted to order the Cajun Pasta with Vegetables but was informed by the server that they don't really have vegetables and that she does not recommend that order. I appreciated the honesty. The Rasta Pasta was good - B+. When we finished our meal, we requested little plates to serve the birthday cake. We were brought plates. Shortly after, to our surprise, the other party that was there had a birthday song along with sign and sparklers presented to their table. Our table did not receive that treatment. I asked our server why we didn't get that treatment, she stated because they had their cake stored in their kitchen. This was an unacceptable response. Our server was well aware of our table's birthday celebration as she commented on the cake when she first arrived and asked whose birthday it was. To receive no acknowledgment felt very disrespectful. To add insult to injury, the other party was an all-white crew, while my party was an all-black crew. The food and drinks were good. However, the poor service and accommodations, lack of brunch and acknowledgment for our birthday girl, has made my decision to never return.
