Same as the others - location is convenient, the doctors are professional and scheduling is simple. Quality of care is okay, but lacking when compared to dermatologists in other geographies. Then comes the bill - hence the 1 star rating: Neither of the items submitted made any sense at all and thus my insurance didn't accept them. (Again, this is a standard preventative that has had no issues billing at other providers). They had billed for a surgery when none was performed and other unique codes they must realize nets them the largest amount. When I called them, they said they would fix it and submit the correct CPT codes and they had made a mistake. Lo and behold, I receive a bill 10 days later for the wrong amounts they had submitted. This billing is a disaster at best, but most likely a fraudulent attempt at insurance overbilling. I would avoid this place like the dishonest, greedy practice they are.

The PT lead then left, and I had to start over. Eastside then billed me again for a new assessment, which insurance declined. After attempting to resolve this, they insisted I pay or they submit to collections. I'm now disputing collection agencies. Avoid them at all costs. They can't keep their people and they just run the numbers through insurance and collections

Argued with me that they sent the right order when I wasn't accusing them of anything, was just trying to find out how to move forward to make sure the right order goes through. Straight up hung up on me while I was in the middle of asking a question. I was not rude or blaming anyone when talking to her, simply just trying to figure out what was going on since my insurance company was saying one thing and the physician's office was saying another. Weird way to treat a patient they know is in pain and felt like my physician and his office could not care less about what happened to me. Save your time and money, go to UW med or Polyclinic across the street.

Feeling sort of funky, and not in the George Clinton way, I searched desperately for a new GP. I'm hoofing it these days and my new doc needed to be walking distance from our digs in Ballard. After looking online I found a physician using the website search on the Swedish hospital website. The office is located on Market St. in Ballard and the team there is spectacular, maybe the nicest, most efficient group I've encountered in my years of doctor visits. From the front desk team's efficiency, to the nurse and finally my doctor (Dr. Deans-rock star) every step was effortless, prompt and courteous. Thanks guys, for everything!

I came in completely frustrated about a back issue that was making daily tasks hard. I came out knowing an old ankle injury was the cause and with a plan on how to move forward. And, I have seen considerable progress within a week. The clinic felt more personal than many I've been to. I didn't feel like I was being slotted into a 30 min slot with the therapist needing to move on. The therapist took time to talk to me, understand my background and previous injuries, and make sure that they were confident in their assessment. I really couldn't recommend more.

This was after I asked if I was being assigned too many reps because I suspected I was sore in not good ways. After that Sunday issue resolved, I started tracking how often I had issues after a PT visit. There's stretch and then there's strain. We had this convo and still my limb was overworked. Now at a different PT and it's enlightening. Also, the business side of this place is a wild ride. First, everything is in text. EVERYTHING. You can't call in and make an appt. You can leave a msg and they'll text you. And then you text them back. And then they may text you back... This was really inefficient on my end. I can't imagine it isn't on theirs as well. At your first appointment, they scan your driver's license because "it's required by law." No. No, it is not. And if insurance was worried about scammers/substitutes, they'd put a pic on our cards like Costco does, so I don't get why they wanted to scan my license. I refused and the office manager ok'd it. Also, the office manager was there when I asked to see their privacy policy. They couldn't produce it but said they would the "next" visit. They were never able to produce a privacy policy and that IS actual law (FEDERAL law to be exact) and not a new law. BTW, the intake form requires everyone to check a box that they've read the privacy policy. I told them I would check it with the understanding that they would show me a privacy policy at my next appt. May seem minor but it's indicative of how a medical office is run IMO. Re: the place. The physical place is great. Clean, comfortable, welcoming, with decent parking. Re: therapist. I may have just had a bad therapist for my issues. Glad I moved on. Re: the office issues. Hard pass.

The care from the PT's is excellent and compassionate. Have gone for 3 years for 3 big spine…read moresurgeries and a couple years prior for shoulder surgery. What I am disappointed with is a change in business practice and most major insurance companies (I have Aetna) and Medicare are no longer billed. Patients are expected to pay up front (my recent bill was $250) and submit to insurance for reimbursement. My care plan had graduated to every other week. I can't afford that and they are not willing to work out payment arrangements. (So much for loyalty). Insurance can take months to reimburse an individual. I can appreciate the impact to a business when insurance is slow to pay them but there has to be a middle ground for the patient. I was politely invited to seek care elsewhere if I couldn't pay. Wow! Just be aware the bills are steep and up front payment expected. The therapists are great but billing practice not so good. Also if you expect to speak with a live person it's rare. You usually play phone tag or send a text and hope to hear back. I really wanted to continue here but I'm afraid I probably can't afford it....

Tried to set up PT for hip pain. Had to wait 6 weeks to get in. Before I went I called to question…read morethe costs. Was told it was a small co-pay. I questioned that it was more than that and they asserted that it was not. I went to my first appointment, which was just evaluation with no actual recommendations made. 2 weeks later I get a bill for the full amount as it was not covered by insurance (after I asked twice for an estimation of costs). So, now instead of a $33 payment I'm stuck with $200 cost for absolutely no recommendation of ways to alleviate pain. Do not trust what the front desk tells you regarding cost! If I had known that this would only apply towards deductible and I decided to still move forward. I would have at least set up my first appointment in January and not do one appointment in December and basically flush that $$ away. Very frustrating!

If it's not updated then everything went amazingly and they are highly recommended in my book. If that changes I'll let you know :)
