However, upon arrival I was informed that there was no such appointment and that the doctor wasn't even in. That nothing was sent to me about a cancellation was bad enough, but what truly made my blood boil was the offer to reschedule my appointment . . . FOUR MONTHS later! I declined. (What should have transpired: Offer an appointment within the next week, even if it meant staying open a bit later.) Fearing I had made a mistake with the date, when I got home I checked the report from my primary care physician (also with PMC, at the Lynnwood location), which listed future appointments. Sure enough, I had the correct date and time, and PMC had it down in its records. Browsing through the previous reviews here, I am apparently far from the only one who has experienced this sort of contempt for the client. My advice to anyone reading this: Look somewhere else for your health care.

I ended up parking a block away on the street! 2) I had shingles, and getting my medicine in a timely manner was crucial. Again, I couldn't get through to a human. I tried to set up a video appointment, but there were too many hoops, so I had to pay extra money I don't have to go to another doctor. This is not a very humane way to treat patients. Extremely frustrating experience. I do not recommend UW Physicians.

The current UW Neighborhood Northgate Clinic is still located at Northgate, however not in the same building as it once was. Currently, it serves as my primary care provider as part of my Medicaid (Amerigroup plan) health insurance with Dr. Roesel as my primary physician. While parking at the current Northgate location is abundant and medical services are varied, it does not have all of the offerings of my previous primary care provider, ICHS Shoreline. Since this clinic is for medical, my current medical pursuits are now separated into medical (here), dental (elsewhere), and optical (different elsewhere).

When my longtime PCP left Kaiser several months ago, I wondered whether I would be able to find another doctor with the same level of dedication and mutual respect that I value in a physician-patient relationship. Today I met Dr. Martin Levine and came away very impressed. He is an exceptional listener and was fully present during our visit. His questions about my medical history and current health were thoughtful and specific rather than routine or generic. What impressed me most was the thoughtfulness of his clinical judgment--his questions clearly reflected a careful effort to understand the full picture of my health. His manner was relaxed, professional, and genuinely caring, and I left the appointment feeling confident that my health is in very capable hands. I feel fortunate to have found Dr. Levine and am very pleased to call him my primary care physician.

I took a bad fall at a bus stop when I tripped on a Lime bike that was laid out flat on the…read moresidewalk. I bruised and scraped my right knee, elbow and hand badly. Since I fractured the right kneecap two years ago in a previous fall, I wanted to get X-rays at Northgate. The appointing person told me that KP had recently banned walk-in X-rays and now required one have an in-person appointment with a doc to see if the patient is worthy of getting X-rays. The new rule is that walk-ins are banned from getting X-rays. A patient has to make an appointment to see a doctor BEFORE X-rays. This makes no sense at all. In the past, my doctor would order X-rays and meet with me later to discuss the results. This is totally backwards. KP also recently banned patients from being able to reply to a doctor's message on My Chart. KP keeps coming up with new ways to keep patients away from practioners, in order to increase revenue flowing to its obscenely-overpaid KP CEO, Gregory Adams. I like my doctors a lot but I don't like spending hours per week fighting with the mindless KP bureaucracy to get care. It's exhausting, particularly whe one is 75 and dealing with multiple health issues.

I came in for a consultation for a procedure, and she gave me good information about the procedure, and we agreed that it was a good idea. The billing, however, was awful. I told Dr. Jahncke up front that I needed time to save up money for this procedure, and we discussed a timeline that I thought would work. She told me that I could call up their billing department and get a detailed estimate for what I would be responsible to pay for, after insurance. I have a high deductible insurance plan, but otherwise it's pretty solid. Dr. Jahncke also told me that we needed to do a pelvic exam and pelvic ultrasound, which I scheduled with the front desk. I did the pelvic ultrasound, and then started trying to figure out how much this procedure was going to cost. It turns out that there isn't one person who can tell you what anything is going to cost... there are three or more people, who all tell you different numbers, and you have to hope they told you the right ones, and add them all up, and maybe (?) you can get a rough idea. No one knows how much anything costs. It's impossible to plan ahead, and everything is very, very expensive even with insurance. As I was still trying to figure out if I could afford the procedure, bills started arriving for the "lab work" that Dr. Jahncke had ordered... many, many bills. I've received five (5) statements so far, billing me separately for every step of the process. So far, without even having the procedure, my insurance has been billed almost $2,300 by four (4) different entities, and I've paid more than $900 out of pocket for procedures that no one warned me were going to be expensive. I am really upset that no one warned me before I had them done, especially after I had already discussed my financial situation and was trying to be responsible and plan ahead. I'm not sure anyone in the office even knows how much things cost. Needless to say, I'm not getting my procedure done here. I'm paying off the bills I already incurred, and then not coming back. It's too bad, because the care was good. But I can go to a stand-alone clinic for less than half of the cost, with no expensive surprises, and get the same procedure. If you have amazing insurance this place would be fine, but if not, it is going to be very expensive.

Terrible experience. Walked in and waiting over 90 minutes for a simple urine sample for a kidney…read moreinfection. I gave my sample Monday and results should have been ready Wednesday, as advised. I called every day to be told it wasn't ready or hung up on when they put me on hold. Finally the following Monday, a week after my visit I was told my sample was lost and never sent out. I returned the next day to give another sample but it was only sent for a 24 hour culture instead of 72 hour. Finally I went to another urgent care to get actual results. You can literally smell the negligence when you walk in the door.

When I called to request the certificate, I was told they could not provide it and I was not given much assistance. This was confusing because I had already been informed that phone or email requests would be acceptable. One of the nurses I spoke with, who had a beard, was particularly dismissive and did not try to offer any alternative way for me to obtain the document. The interaction felt unhelpful and unprofessional. For drivers who rely on DOT documentation for work, timely access to these records is very important. I hope the clinic improves its communication and provides clearer guidance on how patients can access their medical records in the future.

This is after an Emergency room visit with an extremely unqualified staff who seems to be lacking…read morebasic patient care training. Let's start by myself being questioned why we were at "this" ER, instead of an ER that we prior visited earlier in the day... well this ER was closer to our home, we needed immediate medical attention, it was getting late and the first discharge paperwork stated to return to ER immediately if having problems.... Overall Why does it matter?... I'm in the middle of trying to get care for my wife who has extremely complex and acute conditions and we were disrespected at every step of our visit. I took us to what a thought was a professional medical facility with professionally trained medical staff that respected patients and took their jobs seriously. We were viewed as drug-seeking from what I can tell, as that could be the only explanation for the treatment we have received, and that is just unacceptable. The team did not listen to me, the caregiver of the patient, and against my direction made numerous mistakes that led to further patient harm and distress. Starting with in the waiting room, my wife had to be assisted to a recovery position on the floor so she did not fall out of her wheelchair due to active seizures - staff approached us and said we could not be on the floor and she had to get up. At this time my wife was in the middle of seizures, unable to communicate, understand, or control her own body. I had to argue for them to even listen and they left, clearly frustrated - but not offering any help. Later the same nurse came out saying they had a bed - my wife was still on the floor and unable to utilize her strength to move herself. The care staff then asked, "what do you want us to do?" I thought that hospital staff are trained to help patients off the floor from falls and etc, so I literally said, "are you not trained to help a patient off the floor?". After they finally sent out staff to assist me in picking my wife up to get her to the room, they literally asked me to open their medical cabinet to grab IV and blood draw equipment - I am not a medical staff at UW - that is totally unacceptable - again! What procedures are in place to ensure these numerous mistakes are not made over and over? It is a harm to patients, patient families, and the community. It's crazy how those most vulnerable and dependent upon intensive medical care, are treated the worst by the medical staff they rely upon. One of the first things I said is to not use her left arm due to the series of conditions that will make it difficult, if not impossible to get a line. Well you can clearly see they did not listen and blew her vein out. We followed up with our primary doctor at UW who was horrified at the care we received. Let's just end with although this is the closest ED to our home we will take the risk and drive to the next one. We have reached out to patient relations numerous times with no response. It seems that they are more concerned about google reviews here than good patient practices and may finally get back to us here?????????

I'm a patient there and it's been so long since I've eben used a chain pharmacy like Bartell's or Walgreen's. Costco has been helpful but their hours are limited whereas Hutch Pharmacy's open early and late. I can rarely even get the chain pharmacies to answer their phones! Most chain pharmacies are closed altogether for lunch breaks because their staffing's so low. Walgreen's advertises theh haven't had a pharmacist on staff on certain daus and times. What !? Their drive thru windows are too busy or are closed altogether. I don't know if Hutch offers walkin vaccinations like some chains do and I don't believe they offer minor care as some chains do. The chain Pharmacists have told me their Corporate offices don't PAY pharmacists enough so as to recruit and keep their pharmacists. That's sad because Pharmacists used to be considered allied healthcare professionals and should be paid as such. So, it's no longer worth it for me to uss the local chain pharmacies unless in an emergency. I always use Fred Hutch now. The Pharmacists and Pharmacy staff at Hutch aré knowledgeable, considerate, and competent, particularly about insurance billing. They are SO efficient and actually answer their phones! Never have I had to wait for someone to pick up. I don't know why the vast differnce in pharmacies and staff at Hutch vs the chains but I just know I'm willing to drive all the way into Seattle to assure my prescriptions are filled and billed correctly. I never imagined I would be coming to this medical building, but I'm coming 5 days a week for…read moretreatment. The staff here are amazing. There is such a sense of peace here despite all of us going through our journeys. Some of us have cancer, some benign. some of us are senior citizens, some children. Or some of us are single moms in their 30s, like me. We all have one thing in common. We come 5 days a week for 5-6 weeks for treatment. We see a lot of the same patients coming. We aren't friends, but we're friendly. The lobby is so cozy you could fall asleep. They have an amazing snack bar. There is truly something for everyone. If you look around the rock wall you'll find little hidden figures left by previous patients. Ask the story from staff. It's quite heartwarming. This place is so heavy, yet so peaceful. The staff are incredible. Which let's be honest, that's amazing given how medical care is these days. Not every medical center gives this kind of care so genuinely and with open arms. If you are looking at coming here for treatment, it's okay to be scared, but you're in good hands. Sending you love.
