Physicians Regional Nurse Alert system. Was told by Karen in patient census has been broke for a year.

My wish is for a Corporate head, NIOSH or OSHA to read my quick review of recent care in their ICU. Call buttons broke for a year with an unstable, unattended (for 3 hours) cardiac patient is unacceptable standard of care. MOST unacceptable is a patient having to call the hospital from their cell phone to get a nurse. (had to call twice) room getting dark, nothing on the call bed panel worked NO lights, NURSE alert NOTHING. Talk about FEAR setting in. ICING on this Disaster cake; Being handed a little bell to ring to get the nurse. Cried all night. Genuine fear. May 2024

Make sure you register first at front desk with insurance and ID, get buzzer, then go to back to front desk then to department even if the registration person directs you to the department first lol. Hospital 3 business days in a row.

The worst hospital experience we have ever had. My wife went to the emergency room only because of…read morea kidney stone, but because of the urologist's medical negligence, she ended up hospitalized for almost two weeks, had to undergo three surgeries, and suffered serious complications. From the very beginning, while she was twisting in pain, an employee stood beside her and repeatedly pressured her about a debt, even saying that the matter could be taken to court. My wife kept telling her that she could not deal with that at the moment because she was in severe pain, but the woman continued pressuring her. That was our first experience as soon as we entered the emergency room. During her hospital stay, some nurses were kind and compassionate, but others showed an unbelievable lack of care. My wife was crying and asking for her pain medication, and on several occasions, they did not give it to her on time. She also repeatedly asked them to perform a CT scan because she knew something was wrong, but they refused to do it. Later, they discovered that she had approximately 800 milliliters of urine trapped in her bladder. She had to endure terrible pain while the urine continued building up. According to what we were told, her bladder was also perforated during treatment, causing her condition to become even more complicated. What started as a kidney stone ended with three surgeries, a urinary catheter, and bacteria in her bloodstream that is still being treated. My wife still has the catheter in place today. She was told to return to have it removed, but when she calls the hospital, no one seems to have clear information about her case or knows how to help her. It is extremely frustrating that, after everything that happened, there is not even proper coordination for her follow-up care. All of these complications began after she went to the hospital for nothing more than a kidney stone. We feel that her health and her life were placed in serious danger because of the lack of care, the delays, and the poor communication. Some members of the staff did treat her properly, and we acknowledge that, but the overall experience was traumatic and completely unacceptable. This is the worst hospital we have ever been to. We have never seen so much disorganization, lack of compassion, and poor medical care. We do not recommend this hospital to anyone.

Both my doctor and her assistant are so attentive, courteous, and helpful. I am SO GRATEFUL that my insurance selected them and feel like I hit the lotto in getting the best care. Having a doctor that genuinely cares about their patients and their health, addressing all of their concerns, and going out of their way in giving them the extra time and care instead (instead of just seeing them as another number) is so important and valuable to me. Despite being a new patient, I was able to get an appointment here right away. The facility is clean, as well. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Thank you so much to all of the wonderful staff here who I spoke with as every single one of them were super caring and helpful in assisting me. :)

The EMT wheeled me into a room in the ER. I was immediately under the care of the ER RN. The doctor on duty examined me and asked for bloodwork. Based on the bloodwork the doctor recommended that I be admitted to the hospital to await a review of a surgeon. I agreed to follow the ER doctor's recommendation, but it wasn't long before the surgeon came into the ER and proceeded to perform an outpatient surgery under local anesthesia. When it was completed I was discharged, able to return home by myself. Although this all took place over the course of about five hours, In other ERs I lave waited longer than that just to be seen by a doctor. I am very pleased with my experience and would not hesitate to recommend NCH to others.

He poked our son 3 to 4 times used the needle like a violin and still couldn't get a vein. When prepping to get a vein he us a synthetic liquid skin bandage instead of the proper cleaning materials. After an hour of watching this horrible seen he finally called a nicu nurse for assistance. Unfortunately the Nicu nurse couldn't get a vein either then blamed other baby because he jerk last second when she tried. First red flag was when the original first nurse who checked us in didn't use gloves when handling our son on top of that he had cuts and opened wounds on his hands. I never exchange words with anyone I hate confrontation but I told him if you don't know what your doing ask for help don't be scared it's not like flipping burgers at McDonald's your at a hospital we completely understand asking for help. I guess I hurt his pride and ego he caught an attitude and try to argue with me that he knows what he's doing. When the nicu nurse came she asked the original nurse to prepare my son skin for an IV in front of her he use again a liquid skin bandage and she told him what are you doing that a bandage and not a cleaning agent. We left and went directly to the Fort Myers children's Hospital and on the first try they were able to put in an IV in seconds with out causing any pain or harm

The two orgs connect by a hallway so you can walk indoor back and forth. Parking is an ease. Sadly but vitally there is now great security. You must show ID as well as them taking a pic of you before entering. The Childrens hospital is new and as awesome as the lobby of Healthpark. It looks like a mall here, clear elevators, stores and coffee shops ease the negative thoughts of having to be here when you rather not. The children's hospital is bright, happy, and they just got a brand new electronic piano in the lobby. (I got to break it in! ). Open and clean, this place still smells new. There's a gift shop, lots of different seatings for waiting. There's a wall size screen for movies, Tv, Whatever. I regret no pics of it but my mind was occupied by business. Will def take one next time. Every single staff member that I passed during the hours I spent there were friendly, smiled and helpful. Btw they do employ a music therapist, Love it. (My first career) We are so blessed to have this caring institution here.
