I was brought to the ER for a non medical emergency. The nurse didn't take me serious at all. As I was waiting on the patient bed, I heard commotion down the hall, and that same nurse was talking about me, making fun of me & what i had going on and laughing very loudly to the other staff. The discharge doctor briefly explained what was going on with me but did not refer me to any other professionals and told me that it 'wasn't dangerous'. Nurses are unprofessional and don't take their job seriously. It was not my fault I was brought to the ER, it was a personal issue. This made me feel neglected, and added more to my plate than I already had. Horrible experience DO NOT COME HERE. read more

The Gastroenterologist I see is truly amazing & is genuinely concerned about my health. She is thorough, detail-oriented & even helps reduce medications to healthier options (same as my new PCP). My original experiences at this hospital were far from optimal, but everything has improved. It is a small knit group & they are prompt with responses and extremely intelligent. There is easy parking right in front. I saw another specialist yesterday at the Pine Ridge location & she was amazing, down to earth & referred me to the best place in Naples to get testing! Had a test performed. its been 10 days. You can't call the Dr. office. Must go through the hospital. Still haven't gotten the results. Called and they said the Dr. or nurse will call you in 24 hrs. Hasn't happened after 4 calls. They'll do your test, but it's a game Getty the results. Done with that hospital. The administration should know, but you can't even call them. read more

I go to the Marco Island office. I only found out my doctor that I've been seeing for years was no longer there when my pharmacy tried to refill a prescription, and then left me a message that my doctor was no longer there, and that my prescription refill had been denied. I messaged the office through the portal, and still no response, no refill. In the meantime, I caught a sinus infection. I scheduled an appointment with a new doctor, so I thought. Dr. Chen. I came into my appointment and found out he was a Nurse Practioner...OK maybe, I've seen good Nurse Practitioners in the past. Not this one, he started off checking my prescriptions, and I immediately got the impression he did not prepare at all for my appointment, and was only wanting to refill my prescriptions. But I was patient, although he had never seen me before, and not asking any real questions, he decided he was smarter than my previous actual doctor, and that he would choose what prescriptions I could take. I finally asked if he realized I was there for the purpose of a sinus infection. He admitted he did not, and wanted to excuse himself as to why he did not. I walked out. I took time out of my work day to get medical assistance, for what turned out to be a complete waste of time and money, and a complete joke. read more

My father had out of patient surgery yesterday, this complaint in not with the doctor or the nurses who take care for my father. But when I went to pick my father up from his surgery at 12:30 PM, I arrived at the hospital and went to the out-of-patient check-in desk and the window was closed. I knocked and a very angry woman came out with food in her mouth, telling me that she couldn't help me because it was her lunch break and that her computer wasn't working when she was having lunch. I asked her if there was anyone else who could help me and she told me no, that I would have to wait. My father hadn't eaten for over 24 hours, and I was supposed to wait for her to finish lunch. I called the phone number they had called me from to pick up my father. As soon as they answered, they told me they didn't know I had arrived because no one had told them. Horrible billing team. They do not correctly charge insurance and then charge the patient the wrong amount. I am dealing with a bill from January and they incorrectly over charged me by 90%, hundreds of dollars. Expect wrong and incorrect billing if you visit Physician's Regional. read more

Once I was in the room getting help, everything was going fine. After the first treatment was done, our nurse had not checked up on me for more than an hour and a half. I had to get help from other nurses so I could use the restroom. Without knowing, it was time for the next treatment. The nurse did a better job in being quicker. When we were wrapping up, the nurse yanked the needle out of my arm resulting in pain and a bloody job. My mom had to finish doing the nurses job by removing the Sphygmomanometer on my left arm and the pulse oximeter on my right hand finger. Although I am currently feeling better, my arm still hurts and I wish my mother and I were informed of what would be going on and why we had to wait so long. read more

We went to the ER when my husband had an onset of vomiting and abdominal pain. On the way there, his pain increased and by the time we arrived it was severe. Luckily, my daughter was with us and she went to get him a wheelchair as he could not walk because of pain--there were none to be found and no staff to help. Finally a patient was leaving and we snagged that chair. He was visibly in acute pain and after what seemed like a long time (probably less than 30 minutes) got him triaged to rule out heart attack. Because it's season, they were very busy, no beds, so we were sent back to ER waiting room to wait. He was in severe, acute pain--( he had knee replacement surgery last October and took no pain meds as his pain threshold is high). Finally, we got into a room--probably less than an hour later--nurses were quick to get him on IV and gave him pain medication. Up to this point, I thought we had made a big mistake coming to Physicians Regional. However, once he was admitted to the emergency room--things went much more quickly--tests were run, etc. CT scan showed a lower intestinal obstruction which needed immediate surgery. Dr English, the surgeon, came and explained the urgency of getting the surgery immediately. We were hesitant as we didn't know him etc. As it turned out, he was an excellent surgeon and was able to do the surgery as conservatively as possible. The nursing staff who prepped him were so caring, not only with him, but also with me. His stay in the hospital was only a couple of days, but the nurses, again, were knowledgeable, listened and truly cared. We were very pleased with his care and would feel confident returning to this hospital if needed, but instead by ambulance. If there is any room for improvement, it would be at initial level of getting to the ER. Having more wheelchair's available is basic. We had no way to get him in and were just lucky that someone was leaving and my daughter ran down and took the wheelchair. In hindsight, going by ambulance would've been a better option--but when we left the house, he wasn't in as much pain. read more

Physicians Regional fired my neurologist, who I had used for many years. They offered no referral physician and told me that I would have to get in line as a new patient. I was taking a medication that cannot abruptly stopped and it was going to be weeks or more before I could find a new doctor. I called the Neurology Department and was told that I could get a new prescription through the Emergency Room. I drove to the Emergency Room and requested the prescription I needed. They finally wrote the prescription. A month later I got a bill for $702.00 for writing the prescription. I appealed all the way to Scott Lowe, their CEO, who never responded. I talked to other managers and they all told me to "fly a kite". The fact that they made no provision to direct me to another physician amounts to malpractice. They had no interest in speaking with me and eventually sent their bill to a collection agency...AR Resources. I will never use their hospital, doctors or services again. I also plan to sue them. read more

Got in ER at 12:53 a.m on a Monday night. Was recommended I come in by my triage nurse at VA. Was lead into my room by a man who clearly did not want to be here and treats his patients as such. Asked me why I was here and told him that my urine was coming out of the wrong place and severe abdominal pain. I was asked which place, I jokingly said well.., it's not my nose or my mouth, where do you think I am referring to? He responded with "I don't know , I am not in the mood to guess. Obviously he took it the wrong way because , he then threatened to put me back in the waiting room for a n hour. I found that a little unprofessional to say the least. Anyways, this man was clearly was here for a paycheck. "Dr. John comes in,(by the way also not happy to be here), to examine me , first thing he does is press on my lower abdomen and asks "does this hurt", I replied YES! Please do not do that again. They drew blood and asked for a urine sample only because I had to get up to use the restroom and it jogged they're memory or something because the nurse failed to mention it when drawing my blood, (the nurse by the way was the only one who was semi-polite/ professional. They drew blood around 1:15a.m. Fast forward to 2:30..,nothing, fast forward to 3:30..., nothing. No body stopping in to check how I was doing, nobody calling to check in, nothing. Figured this was going to be a long ordeal so I called and asked if I could go to my car and grab my phone charging I needed to call my loved ones and let them know I was in ER, so I pressed the nurse button,( piece of advice never do that , it annoys the nurses when you do and then you will probably get even worse bed side manner, this was definitely no exception). They said they would look for one but a half an hour later they never got back to me, so I got up, took off the bp cuff, and finger o2 sensor, went up to the desk and told them I was going to my car to grab my charger. Everyone was pretty much at they're desk, the two women were looking at the computer, atleast it looked like they were doing work, the three guys, not so much. Two were leaning back with their arms above they're head joking around with each other , and the guy who admitted me in was eating a bag of chips, the only words out of they said to me was "which room are you in again?". Very reassuring. Went to my car came back quickly , started to unplug everything back in. Side note, when you unplug the bp cuff and the finger 02 sensor, alarms start going off, both in the room and at the nurse desk. Apparently was not a concern. So now I am slaying here writing this review. P.s., it is now 3:45. Needless to say, I do not recommend this place for emergency or probably for anything else medical related. Very unprofessional, horrible attitudes and this is reflected in how they treat they're patients. STAY AWAY! read more

I just moved from Orange County , California to Naples , Florida 3 weeks ago. Over the weekend I experienced chest pains and tightness and believed I was having a heart attack so I was driven to The closest hospital which turns out to be physicians regional hospital in Naples. I rate this hospital 5 stars for many reasons. First and foremost I was brought in immediately through the emergency room department and my medical issue was addressed and handled very quickly by all Drs. & nurses . They decided to admit me to run some heart tests so within a couple of hours of being in the emergency room , I was being transported to the 3rd floor where I was then introduced to my nurse. I want to recognize nurse Alain. From the moment he began to speak to me I can tell he was very caring, compassionate yet at the same time , very observant and could tell that I was very anxious and afraid about being admitted into the hospital and having many tests done on my heart. So He definitely went out of his way to make my experience while being in the hospital as comfortable as possible for me and I totally appreciate it. I would also like to recognize my Patient Care Tech. Her name is Lourdes. I met her the 2nd day I was at the hospital and she made sure that I had enough pillows and blankets and towels and toothbrushes and mouthwash to keep me feeling fresh and clean the whole time I was here. Basically anything that I needed to make my stay as comfortable as possible, she made sure I got that. I'm actually writing this review while I'm still here at the hospital. More heart test to come in the next day or 2 . But for me I would read this hospital at five star. It's like the Marriott of Hospitals! And not to mention, the food is very good and the food service people are very kind and nice and they even give patients here a couple of options on there menu to choose from and they Listen to u. I have a chronic condition of subcutaneous emphysema that will occur unannounced and cause me to go to the hospital. I was recently admitted to the ER with air under my skin allowing my chest, neck, arms and face to become the "Pillsbury Dough Boy". I was in the ER for a couple hours and eventually admitted to the hospital. I can say that all doctors and ER nurses were very attentive to my condition and needs although slow at times. I wanted to recognize Dr. Russell Weintraub for his prompt attention to me and prescribing the proper tests and medication for me. Well done Dr. Weintraub!!! Food was average and some times I was missed getting a tray. It was a pain to get a replacement. Another physician I want to recognize is the one that took care of me during my hospital stay......Dr. Peldiedium. He visited me every day and scheduled my tests and transfer to the Cleveland Clinic in Weston. He told me what was going on and when it would happen and I was very grateful for that. Overall it is a good hospital but as usual you need to watch what is going on there and do not take what is told to you as a fact......especially from the nursing staff. Seems they like to "withhold" information or will not tell you the truth unless you ask them point blank. I found the nursing staff (although not all) the weak link in the process. This needs to be addressed quickly. I know no hospital is perfect but this one is good and would warrant a visit. It is a small hospital and services are limited but they do take strides to take care of you or get you transferred to a hospital that can take care of your needs. I hope this summary helps with your decision as it is not easy to blindly trust someone with your health. read more

Physician Regional is one of the worst hospitals in my 63 years of life that I ever experienced. My husband and I were in a car accident we were both brought there I had to be moved to Physicians Regional Pine Ridge for surgery they never asked me anything about my husband's prior health. He had a stroke in the vehicle they kept him overnight let him go home the next day to an empty home less than 24 hours my family had to rush him back to the hospital because he had another stroke the care that they gave him was the worst care I've ever seen and I lost my husband less than 10 days after that. read more

This is the worst hospital into which I have ever been admitted. The first strike against it is the sour, moldy smell where the rooms are located. It pervades everything, and it's everywhere. It gives the impression that the hospital is not being properly cleaned--an impression that was subsequently confirmed to me. I saw it personally saw it from the trash that collected under my bed for days. It mostly came from Bandage and medical wrappers that were allowed to fall on the floor. The second strike is that the food is so bad. After cancer surgery, my appetite was not that great. However, when my wife brought me food from the outside, I could eat some, even if I couldn't finish it. I could tell from the taste that it was better than this hospital's food. More than once, I refused to eat the food that the staff brought me. I later learned that this hospital eliminated its chef and kitchen staff about 5 or 6 years ago and outsourced the food preparation. It might have helped the bottom line, but it was mostly too disgusting to eat. Particularly disgusting was the beef stroganoff that was served to me twice. Even the noodles were inedible. The third strike was the fact that I could not get a response within 5 minutes when I pressed the nurse call button. Not even a tech would come in timely. In my 8-day admission, I called 3 times over a 45 minute period. I was told that all the staff was with other patients and that I would just have to wait. No effort was made to determine the reason for my call. Although they denied it, it was clear that this facility is seriously understaffed. Their denials just insulted my intelligence. The doctor who operated on me doesn't work in any other hospital, so I am changing specialists. I will not allow myself to be subjected to this house of horrors a second time. read more

I can't believe that I'm the first to review the hospital although to follow the TOS(terms of service) I couldn't if I were employed...This is not a biased self review since I've retired over 2 years ago. And I'm glad to report my review was based on a visit with a patient. Along with previous visits. This is HMA's first hospital in Naples. Which was strongly contested by NCH. A turf war over money. I believe the competition is good and the residents of the county should get the best services for the best price. It is located on 951- collier blvd. shortly after opening they bought an existing Clinic/hospital , Cleveland clinic. That was a big transition as both hospitals had different models for operation. PRMC Collier blvd is considered a small hospital 100 beds. With 2 floors census floats up and down with the season. I use to work here for the first 3 years I was given a very tight budget to equip a rehabilitation department 2 years ago they decided to go in house for rehab. I was the Occupational Therapist who provided therapy for all areas of this hospital. It was a seasonal hospital that took care of many of the snow birds and locals from Marco/ Everglades/ East Naples and Immokalee. The rooms were clean and the meals were pretty good. The staff were friendly but some of the patients were very challenging. During my first 3 years I've seen too many doctors, nurses and allied supportive staff come and go. It's hard to be in the hospital as a customer or for visiting friends and family at their weakest or when accidents/ injury occur. Many of the staff are dedicated and willing to do more to insure happy customer service. I'm going to guess that there are 300-400 people who make this place what it is and each department seems to do their jobs well. I've been in every department it's synergy is great if you step back to see the big picture. read more

NO CALL OR TEXT the day before as mentioned in writing. Then we get bumped because my wife had coffee. In addition, the Cafe, when it opened for lunch had filthy tables. read more

I recently had surgery here that required an overnight stay. The check in process was very easy and everything went according to plan. The nurses were fine and checked on me regularly. The only complaint. The room was very hot. When I sleep I like it cold and specially having to wear a hot gown. The nurses called a few times to lower the temp but it was never truly comfortable in the room. They should make it individually controlled in my opinion. read more

I went here today (Christmas) as my 9 year old son had symptoms of an ear infection and we were in the area on vacation. Everyone from registration, to the nurse and the PA that provided care were very kind and helpful. Sure enough it was an inner ear infection and we were in and out in 30 minutes and back to enjoying our family Christmas. read more

First time going to them called to make an appointment and the lady who answered was so rude and would not make my appointment. Called back and spoke to someone else and they were more than happy to make my appointment. Turned up for my appointment and had to wait 1 hour and thirty minutes went up and asked why I had to wait so long give me some lame excuse than went in to see the doctor and he apologized to me and said I should not have had to wait so long. Than to top it all off they sent me a bill for $300 and said my insurance didn't cover it but I have a fax that was sent to them authorizing it. Suggest you going elsewhere for your health needs will never go there again. read more

Do not go there. Their billing dept does not have a clue what they are doing and overcharge! They expect payment BEFORE you have a procedure which means it is before it is processed thru your insurance. They claim they will refund any difference but it takes months, I am still waiting for thousands in a refund! read more

Worst place to ever bring your child for an emergency visit . No compassion at all . Waiting for hrs just to here something. No checking on my son at all !! And I said something twice in the last 2 hrs and still no one has came . The worst hospital. He was on ICU and they saved his life, I am forever grateful for that. Once out of ICU it was tragically bad. My husband was sick and had to stay many weeks at the hospital. It was horrible. Family was not allowed in (understandably) and they made no effort to communicate with the family. If that was my only complaint that would be fine but everything was horrible! My husband just stayed there lying in his own waste - When i called to get a nurse in there they just said " he has a diaper on - let him go in his pants"! I begged them to go in and help because I couldn't get in - I begged them to treat him with some dignity, they never did.His teeth were never brushed (he was there 10 weeks!)Stay away. If you have something that can be treated in the ER and then you leave fine if you must. Physicians regional is the worst hospital in the state. If you see people talking about good care then they must work there. As god is my witness run from that place. NCH has issues with wait time in ER but the care is a million times better. I have never written a review in my life but i would hate to see a dog get such horrible care. Go to Naples Community Hospital instead. Then there is Ting Ting who is a case worker there. She scolds you , is condescending and not at all competent at her job. The worst! My neighbor even said to me try not to get Ting Ting (He went there and hated it too) she will make your life a living hell. I will never go to that hospital for any reason ever. Michael Pisano, PA, just saw my son at the ER. I can say honestly he is the most compassionate and understanding individual I have encountered in the Emergency Room. I was surprised at his level of care and concern and he really went above and beyond to help me as a worried mother. He said the doors are always open at this hospital, and I am glad to go back to this hospital because of this great experience! We need more individuals in the medical field like him... I had a cut above my eye brow today. We went to the ER at Physicians Regional Hospital where I was taken care of by some of the nicest Medical Professionals I have ever met. A very friendly, reassuring and professional staff. I was fortunate as it bleed profusely but it was not deep. They were able to crazy glue the wound and send me on my way. Since it is in the middle of my eye brow any scaring should be difficult to see between the eye brow hair so I won't be any worse looking than I already am. read more

I usually go to NCH when I'm having a medical problem and last night I felt like it was too far of a drive to make so I went to the closest hospital which so happens to be this one I got there around 9:40 -10 and didn't leave till 12:30, everything was fine till I was done getting my weight and pressure checked out. I was placed in a medical room then my nurse came to check on me and tell me what their health plan method was for me that night (about 5 min convo tops) I didn't see that nurses(who was supposed to come and distribute med)or any nurse for two hours and I was laying in that room in pain barely could breath pressing the nurse button over and over and no one ever came till my friend went out her way to hunt one down and when my nurse came back (the one that was supposed to take care on me) he told me "oh I thought you left already and we dont have the medicine in stock here like wtf do you mean you thought I left. I've been sitting here for two hours didn't get anything done besides my weight check and throat looked at and you mean to tell me you thought I left. Thats bull and neglect so I took my shit and discharged myself and went to NCH. In under 1hr 30min I was look at, breathing normal and not in pain. Physician needs to get their medical team together because I don't understand how you work at a hospital and caring for people's health but cant even remember you have one laying on the bed for two fuing hours and I cant wait to get this bill from them because they will hear from read more

Terrible experience with post surgery. Had significant post op problem and the phone number to call on the discharge instructions only got to a switchboard. Attempts all day to get someone to help me was met with zero help. I was told the doctor and staff did not work on Fridays, then told they were in surgery. Apparently no one was even covering for my doctor. I pressed for any doctor and told no one was there. I called the patient advocate at the hospital who got the hospital liaison to call me. He said he got in touch with my doctor and would contact me. I waited all night and No contact was made. I am suffering for a second night and day. They should be embarrassed forcing the only choice to go to the emergency room or call 911 and pay for that while they leave discharged surgery patients hanging. I did not get any call back for three days. Don't know how they get away with risky process as someone could die. I could go on but I will never go back. read more

I cannot say enough about the wonderful quality of care I received last year in the hospital. I came in through ER and stayed for 4 days. Every person was helpful and respectful, even on the night shift when doctors are away! This week I took my neighbor to the ER and he received the finest of care as well.
