This review hurts to write. But mostly in my stomach. See, I was up all night on Friday, in the terms the kids used to use, worshipping the porcelain goddess. Now when I first "woke up" on Saturday morning, I figured it was just alcohol mixed with just getting dumped (the alcohol came first, I'm not a tortured artist or alcoholic) that was making me run back and forth to the bathroom. And the effects of this combination, in past experience, usually goes away by 11:00 a.m. When I still hadn't by 1:00 (and it wasn't just dry heaves but horribly yellow stomach acid that seemed to come from the depths of my soul), the nurse line I called recommended this urgent care clinic (since I told them I didn't want to pay a $75 copay for an emergency room). I won't get hyperbolic and say that it saved my life, but this place definitely made me feel better. Well, enabled me to at least for two reasons. First they're open until 4:00 p.m. on a Saturday. And second, they're easy to get to without a car (something that can't be said about most hospitals) and without a lot of walking (something very important to me when I feel like I'm scared I have swine flu and can barely walk). It's about two blocks from the corner of Irving Park, Milwaukee, and Cicero putting it close to three bus lines. And despite it being one of the few medical places open on a Saturday, they got me in right away (even telling me where the key to their bathroom was - and I did end up using it). And they take most insurances so for me, it was only a $20 copay paid upfront. Now, the thought of an urgent care clinic may bring to mind for some a picture of a shabby, low-rent place. But if someone was blindfolded and dropped off here, I guarantee they would think they were at a full-fledged doctor's office. About the only difference I observed was that it was seen by a physician's assistant and not a doctor. Even so, the diagnosis was thorough, the blood work done in house (and in ten minutes), and I was out the door with a prescription in less than 45 minutes with a slip of paper for nausea medicine. Most prescriptions can even be filled right at the office and given to the patient before they leave. But even for the ones that can't, there's a Walgreens a block away. Which reminds me, off to test my stomach and its unwelcome viral guest with some Ensure. Good times on a Sunday morning. read more

Need stitches? Forget the ER!! It seems silly to write about a wonderful experience when you're in pain and shock and need to get stitches, but this place is awesome! Almost one year ago today, my husband cut himself badly making dinner. We went to a local Scandinavian hospital where we got to sit for 9 (NINE) hours before we got out of there for 6 stitches to his hand. He also got a first year med student who couldn't numb him properly and she redid the stitches 4 times. I think I was more traumatized watching the whole thing, so needless to say when I cut myself I was petrified. I called around and found Physicians Immediate Care. I have insurance so for a total of $30 vs $125 plus 20% copayment (ER charge), I was out of there in 1 hour and 15 minutes!! Everyone from the intake receptionist, to nurse Crystal, and finally Dr. Epner, I was treated so nice! Their bedside manner was great, and the doc quickly numbed me so I didn't feel anything. We also chatted the entire time so I could take my mind off of what was happening to me. A tetanus shot, some antibiotics, and 4 stitches later, I'll be quickly on the mend, and will return here to get them removed. It's so great to know they are here and I'll use them again in a heartbeat the next time I do something stupid to myself. read more

If I could give no stars, I would. I had a 5:10 appointment for covid test. I was told to wait in my car and wait for a phone call. Received the phone call at 5:10 and then I was told to wait for another phone call in order to go in for my test. I waited 59 minutes. I called to get an update no one picked up. I work in Healthcare, I understand things happen. However, an update or even an apology for the wait would have been greatly appreciated. I will NOT be coming back to this location. HORRIBLE experience all around. read more

The PA that I saw had really crappy bedside manner. Taller blonde woman with short hair, can't remember her name. I went in because I've had respiratory symptoms for over a month (congestion, cough, sore throat, green snot, pain in my teeth and jaws from my sinuses, etc.). I told her my symptoms when she asked, and when I listed green snot, she snapped, "Color of mucus doesn't matter." I'm sure what she MEANT to say was, "Color of muscus doesn't impact our determination about whether this is a viral or bacterial infection," but unfortunately, that's not what came out of her mouth. She offered to give me Sudafed, which I then snapped, "Has been doing nothing. For a month," and then offered a prescription strength nasal spray for runny nose. Which I don't have; I have congestion. (Listening: item one on the Good Bedside Manner guide). I let her know again that these symptoms have persisted for a month and that I'd be traveling to NYC in a few days, and I really just wanted to do a course of antibiotic to be safe. Her words: "I'll give it to you if you want, but most sinusitis is viral. Even if you feel better in 3-4 days, it's probably just the virus concluding. It's not uncommon for a virus to take 4-6 weeks to run its course." I stared at her. I said very slowly, maintaining eye contact (to see if she might listen this time?) "I have... NEVER... had a cold for a MONTH." No change in demeanor or pace. She just kept right on talking about how unlikely it is for my sinusitis (so impressed she knows the clinical term! For a THIRD TIME!) is probably viral and that the antibiotic will do nothing. I stared at her again. "Yes, I want the antibiotic." Two hours after the first dose of antibiotic my sinuses hurt less. Three hours after the second dose I blew a ton of green sludge out of my face that's been hanging there FOR A MONTH. After the third dose my congestion is nearly gone and all my snot is running clear. This isn't 3-4 days later; this is after 36 hours of medicine. So I just want to say this: I GET that antibiotics are overused and overprescribed, and I GET that causes bacterial and personal antibiotic resistance. But two things: 1) Ask me how many times I've been on antibiotics in the last five years. TWO. Did she ask that? Nope. 2) A GOOGLE SEARCH told me that pain in my teeth and duration of illness make it somewhat likely I'm part of the 2% of cases that are bacterial sinusitis (hey look! me, a lowly laywoman, can learn the clinical term, too!). Lesson: listen better, lady. I'm very impressed by your medical training; I know it's a lot of work. I'm less impressed that after all that work, you don't have time to USE YOUR TRAINING. Talk less, slow down, ask better questions, listen more. read more

Absolutely phenomenal service. I was in and out the door with 10 stitches in under an hour. The staff was polite and friendly. I was treated quickly and safely and even had a few laughs along the way. The cut was over a tattoo and the provider took extra time and care to do her best lining it back up! I hope I don't have to return, but if something does happen in the future, I will 100% be returning here. read more

Thanks to yelp and my insurance website, Physicians Immediate Care was where we stopped on our way out of the city after Christmas break with family. My kid got sick (all of Christmas, woohoo), and on the day we're supposed to start a two day drive home he starts throwing up. We didn't want to go to an emergency room and didn't have a doctor in town, so we went here. They were fantastic. There wasn't a crowd and barely a wait. We signed in in just a few minutes, the receptionists were so friendly, and the doctor and nurse were both professional and sweet and quick. Our son was examined and antibiotics were prescribed. We were out the door in an hour. The clinic can actually dispense medicine there, but ours was an unusual type of antibiotic so we went to Walgreens down the street (which took longer than the entire doctor's appointment!). All in all, it's places like this that I am SO thankful for in an era of a completely f'ed up medical and insurance system. read more

With a serious case of cooties getting out of hand, I needed to get to a doctor right away. Felt like they were filming one of those mucinex commercials up my nose. Made an appointment online via their zip thing. That was cool, however it didn't seem to hold my spot. I got there 15 minutes early per their instructions & sat there waiting. It took another half hour beyond my appointment time before I was seen. But one of the girls up front was chatting & said it seemed like a bunch of people were on lunch... the waiting room was a little chilly, so if you get cold easy, bring a sweater! The nurse was great & kind & thorough (I wish I remembered his name). With a smile, he said Dr. Jack would be in to see me in about 10 minutes. A couple minutes later, someone else poked their head in to reassure me he'd be in shortly. And then a female doctor walked in... so I assumed Dr. Jack was tied up. She did a thorough evaluation & was nice. She ended with "I'm a student, so Dr. Jack is going to come in again & make sure I got it right!" I thought she was great, so was surprised to hear she was a student. Then Dr. Jack arrives. I joked that HE looks like a Dr. Jack! He had a great sense of humor, a kind and gentle bedside manor & everyone there seemed like they cared. Another nurse brought my prescription, but did not mention that I could have it filled on site, as I am reading in other reviews. That would have been handy. But walgreen's has ice cream to soothe my throat... :) I spent a total of 1.75 hours there, but I assume some of that was "teaching" time and it might go faster if the student wasn't there... Office was bright & clean & everyone used hand sanitizer before & after touching me. Much appreciated! I'd go back next time I need care... read more

As a singer who gets regular sinus infections and woman who gets frequent UTI's, I'm no stranger to the everlasting search of a decent urgent care center that will take me after hours when I can't get off work or make it to my doctor. A friend recommended the Urgent Care center at Six Corners and I sped there after work yesterday because of a killer UTI that I couldn't wait to see my doctor about. It was a great experience. First of all, the website allows you to make an appointment online on their Zippass. It also shows you how crowded it is at the moment so you can judge your arrival time if you don't have an appointment. You can walk in, too. I made one for 5:45pm, got there at 5:40, was brought into the exam room at 5:50 and saw the doctor by 6:15. Everyone is nice and friendly and the energy in the place is great. So much better than other urgent care places I've been to. Dr. Emma is fantastic. Absolutely the best. If she has a private practice, sign me up. I've never enjoyed a doctor more. Strange, right? She listened to my concerns, trusted my opinions about my body (after all, I've known it for 25 years) and gave me a prescription. They even fill prescriptions on site and for much cheaper than if it had gone through my insurance. I was out of there by 6:30, tops. Incredible. Bottom line: if you find yourself in the unfortunate place of needing an urgent care center, go here. read more

I don't think in my life time have seen such a corrupt greedy twisted way of abusing people who want to park in urgent care medical parking lot and putting metal boots on the patients vehicles because they touched a yellow line of a parking spot. The owner of this parking lot and building needs to be publicly shamed for ticketing patients who are ill and need medical treatments and too many patients need COVID-19 testing done as well! The medical staff employees even get parking tickets because their vehicles are not exactly centered in a parking spot and those parking spots are not that big either. Some elderly people cannot see well so sometimes their vehicles are not perfectly parked. This ridiculous unbelievable parking scam needs Public attention from local Television networks to expose this corruption!! So sad! The medical staff were helpful with my COVID-19 testing and that part of my visit went smoothly. Thank you urgent care staff and I hope these parking issues are exposed to all of the public and media to see now! read more

Updated only because I ended up rage-twittering and had somebody contact me via twitter and attempt to resolve this. I ultimately had to return to the clinic during their business hours with a photocopy of my original insurance card... which they totally accepted this time even though it had never changed. I was refunded the difference of what I paid so I only had to pay the copay. But I also had to spend at least an hour of my free time resolving this, plus a return visit. At least my illness was treated appropriately. read more

This place is amazing. All of the staff I encountered were incredibly friendly, caring and funny. They made coming in to a place like this so much better than it would have been otherwise. The wait time for me was minimal, there was only one other person in the waiting room when I got there. You can also check online and see how busy it is and even make an appointment- thought Im not sure why you would need to. Great experience. I would compare the service here to the Immediate Care on Michigan Ave. read more

Medical care is fine here, but be prepared to wait at least 30-45 minutes after your appointment time. They can't seem to work out the technology bugs. Twice in the last week we came here and our appointments mysteriously disappeared after we checked in. Looking forward to new medical options in this area that have been announced. read more

Trimming the tree barefoot=glass ornament stuck in the bottom of my foot, hence the Sunday trip to immediate care. I was very satisfied with my experience here. I needed to see a doctor before leaving for the holidays, and I knew my insurance and bank account would be less than thrilled with an ER visit for a non-emergency Christmas mishap. I was met by friendly nurse Kathy, who efficiently checked me in. I waited about 15 minutes (my one qualm- no People magazine or Life and Style or any magazines in the waiting room) and was taken to a room by another nurse who took my vitals and prepped me for the Dr. The doctor was in several minutes later and dealt with the situation quickly and with good humor. I was impressed by the entire experience, and especially since all of these people were working the Sunday before Christmas with smiles on their faces. My foot is as good as new! read more

I first discovered this place via my insurance company's website. They are covered by my network and I felt comfortable/familiar with the neighborhood. The first time I had to go there was on a Saturday morning. There was something 'funky' going on with my stomach and let's just say it was not pleasant. I waited for a short time before being seen by a nurse followed by a doctor. They were not able to take the sample that was needed for my ailment, but they referred me to any hospital that offered that particular service. I filled the prescription for antibiotics and within a day, was feeling much better. The second time I went here, I had mono. Only, I did not know it was mono. I just knew that it felt like knives in the back of my throat. Intense pain! It was on a Sunday morning and I was admittedly the first patient to arrive. The nurse saw me first, followed immediately by the doctor. She took one look at my throat and told me it most likely mono or strep. She gave me clear instructions on how to determine which one it was along with two prescriptions to fill. As others have mentioned, their service is great. Friendly, professional and prompt. If you have an urgent medical need and are not able to see your primary care physician, this is a great alternative. Highly recommend. read more

They recognized my daughter was sick and wait time was too long so they booked us at Jefferson Park. They saw us immediately. Love these people. Will never go anywhere else for immediate care. read more

This place should really take out "immediate" and "urgent" out of their name. This was my second visit here and pretty much went the same way as the first one. Come in, register, be told that they are only three people in front of you so it shouldn't be long. Wait for an hour in the waiting room until your name is called by the nurse. Then be told that the doctor still needs to see 3 patients in front of you and it will be a little while to see the doctor. Half hour later the doctor comes in and says "so you have a sinus infection? Let's give you an antibiotic." End of visit. I have fallen for the same "I can't get in with a regular doctor for a couple of days, this sinus infection is going to kill me and this place is close and convenient" crap again. It won't happen again. read more

Check in online if you want to know wait times but you can certainly walk in. Nice drs & nurses, staff. Stitched me right up. Literally. Call ahead if you're budget conscious or have insurance questions. You'll be better prepared. read more

Registration is a breeze. (It helps if you research ahead of time to ensure your insurance is accepted here) In and Out in no time. (It helps if your symptoms are of the kind that an immediate visit is warranted versus symptoms that are non-urgent, ie colds and minor sprains.) Clean and tidy exam rooms (Gotta love it!) Prescription sent to pharmacy of choice promptly. (It helps if you already have a pharmacy you use regularly) Friendly and Professional service from all staff--front desk, PA and CMA. (These guys work hard in a profession that unfortunately is thankless profession. Please and Thank You's go a long way) read more

I went here for a pre-employment exam. They did the works; a physical, drug test, TB test (ouch!), and a vision test. They're very through, and the staff was incredibly professional. The whole process took under 45 minutes, which was amazing! I'm used to the full exams taking hours (with lots of waiting). read more

Hardly any wait, and the PA was very friendly. accommodating, and answered every question we had. The only detracting thing I noticed was that the lighting was a bit dim. There's just something about bright lights at a medical place that equates cleanliness -- don't get me wrong, every precaution was made to make sure the equipment and physical interactions were sterile. read more

First off, thank you Yelp for helping me with a quick search of Urgent Care locations near my home AND open on Saturday. My parents are visiting from Lansing, Michigan helping me while I recover from a surgery I had last week. My dad started feeling sick last night. He has chronic issues with fluid in his lungs (bronchiectasis) like bronchitis but it can lead quickly to pneumonia. He's become very good at detecting when this condition flares up and what he should do. Usually he goes straight to his pulmonary doctor. We thought Urgent Care would be his best bet. At least he could get some antibiotics. After reading the Yelp reviews for Physicians Immediate Care I felt comfortable sending my mom out in my car (she's not that comfortable driving in Chicago) - directions were easy with the map/directions feature and I read that there was a parking lot so she didn't need to find a street spot. I also made an appointment on Physician's website using their ZipPass system so they wouldn't have a wait when they arrived. Perfect! Some reviews talked about how they had their RX filled at the in-house pharmacy but someone also mentioned the Walgreens down the block! My mom walked to the Walgreens while my dad waited for his X ray copy (on CD) for his doctor back home. They both said the staff and doctor were Great! The doctor gave him advice about if the condition worsened that he should go to the emergency room and not return to her office...that's helpful to know what to do in that situation and something other clinics might not think to tell you. He's back at my house resting...and hopefully will feel better soon. Thank you Physicians Immediate Care for taking good care of my out-of-town parents! You really helped put my mind at ease. read more

Well, I'm kind of embarrassed to be writing this but I think Physicians Immediate Care deserves some kudos from me. For starters, no one snickered when I walked in with pink eye. No one said "Oh, well we all know how you got THAT!" Second, Dr. Patel was a frickin' hoot. He, too, didn't judge me for having pink eye, and didn't assume I'd been rolling around in sewage. Instead, he made deadpan jokes about it, which gets an A+ in my book. So, I'm on the antibiotics. My eye isn't pink and disgusting any more. And through extensive internet research, I have since learned that feces to eye contact is only ONE way that you can contract pink eye. So my friends can stop teasing me any day now... read more

Their website says they are a "non-urgent care" facility, which confused me at first. I think they are using the term "immediate care" to refer to the fact that they treat conditions which need attention within a few hours or a day, but are not life threatening or causing unbearable pain. The front desk staff was very friendly, as was the nurse and the doctor who ultimately saw me. The wait was a little on the long side - probably about 35 minutes from the time I walked in until I was seen by the doctor, but I did get my vitals taken during that time. Their website gives the option of viewing the next available time slot and making a reservation. I'm not sure whether the reservation helped or not, since I was the only one in the waiting area, but then had to wait awhile in the examination room before the doctor came in to see me. I was told there were several patients ahead of me, though, and overall I wasn't displeased with the wait time - after all, this is urgent care on a Sunday. The friendly staff made the experience quite good for me. I'll be back if I need a place like this again. read more

You get a text at your appointment time stating if you aren't there you forfeit your appointment. Which sounds like they will see you soon, nope. Took 35 minutes to call and ask why I'm visiting. I mentioned one of my symptoms is a rare covid symptom. The receptionist condescendingly notified me not to believe everything on the internet. I mention it's possible I got it wrong or WebMD got it wrong but it probably shouldn't be dismissed. "Whatever you say sir" click. Get sat 25 minutes later. The physicians were nice, everything else was trash. read more

Don't go to this place. They are unprofessional, rude and I not sure they even know what they are doing. I saw the doctor who told me I needed an ultra sound. She called the hospital to get the cost for me. When I got to the hospital it was $200 more that what she told me because she quoted me the wrong procedure. I then called her she said she was sorry she was wrong. I asked why she didn't call me to tell me of her mistake and she just saud Im sorry. After 2 days I called for my results. My call was answers by a receptionist told me "The way things work is we call you when we have the results, thanks" After a week i called back for my results(which they had for 2 days) that I never received a call with. When I asked why it took so long she said Im sorry and hung up on me. Worst place ever for health care. read more

Stupid me skipped some stairs and twisted my ankle pretty bad to the point I wasn't sure if it was broke or a terrible sprain (it was indeed fractured). I'm giving this a 4 star partly because I did attempt to make an appointment online but it was only giving me one option of 1030am and it was 8am and I was in serious pain. The other part was because even though they are under construction currently, the rooms felt tiny (as I had to be pushed around in a wheelchair since I couldn't walk). I the chair barely fit into the room the doctor saw me in. That and I had to go to another location to pick up some crutches. When you're in pain you just want to go home. However, everything else was wonderful!! The front staff came out (in the rain) with a wheelchair to get me inside quickly and a little bit less painfully. Registered fast, as I ended up being a walk-in. My wait time from rolling in to rolling out was about 1.5 hours, but I also did get x-rays and had a few people ahead of me. Overall, my experience was great. I'd come here again instead of going to the ER (if possible) and if my regular doctor is not available. Every staff member was very helpful, cheery and gave great patient care! read more

I went here to get some medicine for strep. I was positive that I had it. I made an appointment the night before, (had a terrible night sleep, not their fault!) and showed up 15 before like they asked. I filled out their paperwork and was in 1 minute after my scheduled time - had the strep swab 5 minutes after that - results 10 after that and out the door 5 after with the required medicine 20 after I left. They made it easy! Make an appointment if you don't want to wait!! read more

I've lived in Chicago for 3 years and never had a doctor, so when I have a terrible cough for a week and a half, I was a little nervous about where to go. Looked up an urgent care place on yelp, it had an excellent rating, and I decided to go. The place was big, clean, professional, and friendly. My doctor was a sweetheart, seemed to genuinely care about me. I got diagnosed and set up with prescriptions, and left feeling so relieved. I would definitely return to this place, no questions asked. read more

4 stars! Adequate service, and medium wait. But for a guy with no insurance i can't comlain. They offer a 30% discount if paid within 10 days plus they also fill prescriptions on site. Two hours total was the ordeal, but the other option was the ER which would have been $$$$ and probably the same amount of waiting. If you know what you need and have to get a prescription i would recommend it. The Parking lot helps since it is so far from where i live. read more

I'm from Texas, and when I was visiting Chicago, I came down with a sinus infection, which I get frequently. My primary doctor gives me Zpacks and the infection always comes back. Dr. Baier was great! read more

No one answers the phone. Extremely unprofessional for a clinic. This needs to be fixed and fast.

This place does not respect your time. I had to do a urine drug screen for a new job and I waited over an hour! Everyone was taken ahead of me because they were seeing the doctor and I had to see a nurse. That does not make sense to me, my visit would have taken five minutes, in and out. Not to mention they tell you to come with a full bladder so I sat there having to pee the whole time. I asked the girl why my wait for the nurse is longer than the doctor and she couldn't tell me anything. Very disrespectful. No one was even sick in the waiting room so it's not like they were triaging. I would never come back here unless they changed their policy. Very rude and disrespectful. read more

After a particularly nasty spill down my cement stair case last night, I was suffering from a left leg and right arm scraped and scratched to shreds and a VERY painful situation happening with my right foot. The cuts I can handle. The stabbing pain in my foot, not so much. We all know that going to the emergency room is a little extravagant, especially with the high costs of health care. So what are we left with when we need to see a doctor, like, NOW? Physicians Immediate Care, that's who! I was able to make an appointment online. I arrived about 20 minutes before my appointment this morning and was happy to find absolutely no wait. The facility is clean, bright and reassuring. I was half-expecting some dumpy, grungy building, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was not the case. My check-in went smoothly and every employee treated me with concern and respect. I felt the x-ray process was easy, my wounds were cleaned up fairly painlessly and after a hour I hobbled out bandaged up with a tetanus shot and one of those funny-looking moon boots for my injured foot. The best part? All kinds of insurance is accepted, so with my $35 co-pay, I got in and out without having to pay astronomical emergency room fees. Now I'm going to take my codeine pills and pass out on my couch. read more

I went to them when I cut my foot - was pretty sure I needed stitches and didn't want to go to the ER and pay a huge bill. When I got there I was amazed at how efficient and professional they were. My experience with urgent cares in the past have. It been stellar! They got me right into a room and the doctor explained what would happen even before looking at the wound. She was clear on what would happen either way (stitches or no stitches) so I knew what to expect. The three visits (stitches, check two days later and then removal) each all great experiences. Chris was a standout- he did my intake info and he is the X-ray tech! I usually come to this location in lieu of the ER. I love upgrade of the parking lot. They've added a new garden, cute fences around the garden, and repainted the lot. Immediate care also added a new method of checking in, which involves a tablet and it gives you the option to receive a text 15min before getting you name called in case you may step out facility. Great way to modernize things. I signed in on the tablet. Since i didnt make an appointment, wait time was roughly 45-55min. I went next door starbucks to kill time with the expectation that I'll receive a text before getting my name called out. Needless to say i waited 1.5hr and didn't get a text, so i came back to check my status. When i arrived, front desk told me my name was called; however, i never received a text message like i was supposed to. This also happened to the family who was waiting after me, who also went to starbucks to kill time. I informed front desk, about never receiving a text and she immediately retaliated with "well you were called and you werent here and you'll be called soon." I didnt like her attitude, so i responded with the machine needs to get fixed. I went to use the restroom and the restroom didnt have hand soap, which is ironic considering a lot of sick people walk in and out of this place. How gross! This is not the first time I've come to this location, but this is the first negative experience ive had at immediate care. Once my name was called, i was taken to a room to then wait another 20min. Since I am sick at the moment, i blew my nose but there wasnt a trash to throw out tissue. I had no option but to leave tissue on table. Again, gross! The doctor who attended me was really nice and quick, which I appreciate. I believe her name is Katie. read more

If you have insurance - BEWARE! The "care levels" they list on their webpage are ONLY for UNINSURED patients. If you have insurance you will pay through the nose - if you have not met your deductible and have to pay the bill yourself. I have had 2 experiences with this facility one personal and one with my boyfriend. My experience is this - I stuck my finger with a quilting pin. The next morning it was red swollen and painful. I went here because I have no physician. I got in easily. If you have insurance you have to provide a credit card on hold. The Dr looked at my finger, said it was infected, prescribed an antibiotic shot and a tetanus shot and prescribed antibiotic pills. He said I needed to return in 1-2 days so they could make sure the infection was clearing up. I made an online appointment for the next day. When I got there my appointment was not on the board and the person at the desk said I was not the first it happened to that day and he did not know what happened to their computer but I could put my name in and they could see me in 90 minutes. I said NO, that was why I made an appointment. I made an appointment for the next day and came back. The Dr looked at my finger, said it was healing, said I could stop the meds that were making me ill and I left. Here is my issue - their website says they have 2 "levels of care" you will not pay more than $250, and follow-ups for the condition of first treatment will not be charged. That was why I went there. It is not clear this is ONLY for the uninsured. Weeks later I got an EOB from my insurance saying that it was not covered care because I did not meet my deductible - never mind it was urgent care, I had expected it anyway. The bill was close to $400. I was not happy. I expected the charge to show up on the credit card they had on hold but it did not. Then a bill came in the mail for $115.55 and showed "adjusted for insurance." So I thought, Great! There is some sort of agreement with BCBS. The day before I have the bill from the mail in the stack of bills to be paid I get my credit card bill which is WAY more than I expected. A review of my bill shows $216 charged to it from this facility. So I call to find out what is going on. That is when I find out the $216 charged to my card was for the first visit. The $115 paper bill was for the follow-up visit - the 5 min "you're good to go" which was originally $222 but adjusted for insurance. Billing then tells me what price listing on the web is only for uninsured. When I say that is not clear she just says "sorry." So - be prepared to pay high $s for treatment if you have insurance and your deductible is not yet met and you have to pay out of pocket. Be prepared your appointment made online may not be on the board when you get there. The 2 doctors I saw were very nice. Service was quick. My issue is not with the care but the billing. read more

New to the Chicago area, and had been having a horrible morning of stomach pain/vomiting (sorry to share that part) but had no idea where to go seeing as I hadn't been established with a primary care physician in town yet. So we turned to yelp. Called Physicians ahead of time and they said sure, come on in. No wait, went right in after filling out paperwork and they were thorough with their questions and tests, did blood work and tried to talk me through what I was going through. Even though it was going to be a few days before results came back, the doctor was very caring and personable, and wrote me a prescription on the spot - and gave me two doses to go home with. Unfortunately as I was leaving I couldn't keep the medicine down, but the doctor to her credit rushed right in, rubbed my back and comforted me (what a welcome surprise) and sent me to the nearest ER so I could get IV fluids. Would've given five stars if they had been able to treat me right there, I find it weird they couldn't give me fluids - they are urgent care after all.... but they were very friendly and helpful and that's a lot to be said when you're feeling so crappy, a little kindness goes a long way. read more
