Phone dropped from a roller coaster right before repair

AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Both employees I interacted with were super kind, patient, and clear with their intentions, pricing, and work. My iPhone 14 Pro slipped out of my pocket during the Wonder Woman: Flight of Courage ride at Six Flags and completely shattered. I've dropped it several times in the past from all different heights on all different surfaces, just never this severely and my phone never budged. The front screen and inside of the phone was completely fine and worked normally. After light research, I realized I needed a housing replacement because the entire back and sides of my phone were destroyed (as seen in photo). They quoted me $219 over the phone, I went in, they confirmed what my phone needed and fixed it. I think housing replacements are usually $229, but since they remembered what they said over the phone, they honored the price! I didn't take a clear after photo, but my phone was good as new! You could not tell anything ever happened. They gave me a camera protector and let me know that my battery was a bit swollen and damaged, but it was not an issue and it was normal. However, after further inspection, my phone screen was slightly lifted and I suspected that it had something to do with the battery. I brought it in two weeks later and they adjusted it, no charge. Now, it looked completely new, could not tell anything ever happened. Since that incident, I understand that my phone is not the same and I've been careful to even the slightest drops. I've dropped it a couple times on carpet from about a feet high and my phone was fine. HOWEVER: today my phone slipped out of my hand from about 2 feet high, flat on the screen side onto carpet floor, and the back is now all cracked. I do not blame Phone Zone Wireless as they did an amazing job with the repair and I did drop my phone. Except I do think these repairs are a temporary fix for bigger issues and because these parts are not exactly the same as my original device, I will be looking into a new phone rather than coming back for another repair. Overall, these guys are great at their job, but these fixes are not as durable as they were before and depending on severity, save your money for something new. Remember that you pay for both the parts and the service, the service is great, the parts not so much.

Disappointed since I was quoted a price of $99.0 for the back glass repair and expected to pay that amount. I was told the quote was for the screen not the back glass. I showed them the Yelp message I sent and said there back cracked. He told me he didn't see it and that Yelp sometimes doesn't show the whole message... what a crap. Other repair shop quoted me lower or same price and noted that it was for the back glass. Either this shop is a liar or telling the truth but I can't recommend someone like this. Go to the other repair shops. I showed the other repair quotes to the front personnel and the message from YELP and the explanation was some messages don't get through. And the message was clear on my end "back of phone cracked". It was the message from the shop which was vague. Yes I accepted the price quoted since I was already in the shop and didn't want to go drive again to another repair shop. So it's a YELP problem since the shop said the message was incomplete while other shops saw and read it. I included all the price quotes from other shops for everyone to see. The repair shop did a good job though but will not be a repeat customer or recommend it to others.

Initially, I requested a quote through Yelp to get my MacBook Air battery replaced. Jason was super responsive and nice! I was able to make an appointment easily and come in during the scheduled time. When I came and brought in my laptop, they were able to check me in and told me that it would take about 30-45 minutes for the replacement. That was fine with me! The total I had to pay (which I paid after they were done) was exactly what was quoted via Yelp. Jason cleaned the dust from my laptop, and also made sure my laptop charger was good as well. I was also given some instructions of how to take care of my laptop after the replacement which I appreciated! I've been to two other places before for MacBook battery replacements, and 100% this place has been the best value and service. I definitely recommend and have told some of my friends about this place! read more

What an amazing experience. My screen was cracked on 2 ipads and phone zone came to the rescue. Steven and Nick were able to fix the screen and my speaker issue in less than an hour. This place is legit. Professional and very helpful. Steven took a lot of time to help me with setting up new service for my bro's iPhone. It needed to be wiped clean and reset, a screen protector and so on... I was also given a great deal on a special hard core screen guard for my iPhone 5S. He demonstrated on another iPhone with the guard by hitting it with a hammer a bunch of times. Worked for me. Anyway, I feel more secure with the 5S now as it is way better protected now. Anyway, I was pleased with the great prices! I definitely recommend this business. It was recommended to me as a place I could trust. And I pass this on to whoever else is looking for this kind of business. Thanks for all ur help Steven. So now from my most recent visit on 7/25/17: Replaced my cracked screen protector (which had lasted a long time before I slammed it down hard on a tile floor!) Jason did great and fast work. I like this place! I trust their work. Very helpful and decent prices. (Great return customer discount!) Oh I also picked up an Apple Lightning to Headphone Jack adapter. I can finally listen to music in my car again. I've had the iPhone 7 since it came out and tried using a cheap adapter of which did not work. (Jason said I could have done damage to my device with it. Glad I stopped using it!) Anyway, the tunes sound great in my car now. Yay! ....I'm also impressed by Steve's PR. Woooooo 5 stars for Steven and Nick!!!!! Serious s these guys r great. Literally cheapest prices around, great work, and fast service. Late evening I requested a quote for a fast response I was able to drop off my Apple Watch the next day. I went to pick it up, and I even got them to put on the protective case so hopefully I wouldn't have to come back under the same circumstances. Honestly, I would totally recommend. This place is awesome! I got off of work at 5pm, made it to the store by 5:10, dropped my phone off to get my shattered screen repaired, went home to take a shower, came back at 5:45pm to pick it up and it was ready with perfect glass, screen protector, and new case all for $100. They close at 6 pm. When I drove there after work I had no idea I would be getting all this done in less than an hour. Probably the best customer service I've ever had. Thank you guys! read more

My iPhone screen was in desperate need of fixing! It got the the point where I couldn't read some of my texts because of the cracks.. I was shopping around for different pricing from lots of different places and this place was the nearest and most affordable to me. I spoke to Renee over the phone who was very sweet and helpful. I came in and gave them my phone to repair. They gave me a quote on time for when everything would be done and I was out of here. The timing was exact and my phone was ready within an hour. Steve and Nick did a great job on my phone. It felt like I was being handed a brand new phone. They also have a yelp check in for a free protective phone screen which they were happy to give. Man oh man I wish I would have taken a photo of my son's crushed iphone, ran over by an F250. Nick was great and didn't make me feel like an idiot thinking it might be repairable. I brought it in at no fee to assess and they fixed it in 2 days and the cost was 1/2 of what I was going to pay for a used, refurbished phone. Shocked to say the least! The first tech who came out, was here for at least 6 hours and could not figure out what the problem was. The second company I hired, charged me a fee to come out and take a look. He was here for about 15-20 minutes and told me I needed to upgraded my equipment and charged me $200. He said there was something unplugged, which there wasn't. After he left the Internet was still not working properly. I found Simply Wired on Yelp, and boy am I happy camper. He came out for a free consultation, sent me a quote within a few days and a list of equipment I needed to purchase (my old equipment was a few years old and I just wanted to start new anyways). After receiving all the items, Brian came out and set it all up. My 'wire closet' or whatever it's called was so messy and full of old wiring and equipment that we couldn't even close the door. Not only can we close it now, but it looks amazing. He also used some of my old equipment to help boost the signal in certain areas. After the install, I had a couple of questions, texted him and he immediately responded. Brian is professional, reasonably priced, has great communication and smart! Don't hesitate to hire him. I only wish I found him sooner!

He sat at my kitchen table and took each phone apart. There are so many little pieces and screws. He worked diligently for about 2 hours taking the phones apart, replacing the shattered screens and putting them back together again. While he was working, my out of control teenage sons were making unacceptable amounts of noise and commotion behind Antonio's back. I had to stop them from playing hackie sack 2 feet away from the back of Antonio's head. While I was getting super upset with them, Antonio stayed focused on fixing the phones and my boys behavior did not seem to bother him at all. Antonio is a Saint! After all of that one of the phones did not work. He diagnosed it as needing a new motherboard. He asked my permission to take the phone to test it with a motherboard that he had at his office. He told me that he would only charge me if he could get it working otherwise he was only going to charge me $37.50 to fix the one and I would still have a $37.50 credit left. Wow, I thought, he is serious about making sure I am a happy customer. He was willing to accept only $37.50 for 3-4 hours worth of work and the cost of two screens. We agreed that if he was able to get it working that I would pay the full $75 plus $40 for the new mother board. He ordered the motherboard and returned the phone to me a couple of days later. After I had agreed to pay an extra $40, he later told me that the motherboard ended up costing less than he thought it would and that I only owed him $25. I am so impressed at how honest Antonio is! When he gave me the second phone back I pointed out to him that the screen, on the first phone that he repaired, flexed a little bit. He sat down at my table and spent another 45 min to an hour on it. He took it all apart again and made sure it was perfect. His attitude was wonderful as usual as he worked while he laughed and joked with my boyfriend who was working on fixing the door lock in the kitchen too. By the way Antonio did a fantastic job at keeping me updated when we were waiting for parts. He scheduled appointments to meet with me and then confirmed them before coming. He sent several versions of the invoice as our agreement changed. He emailed me a final invoice after he left. He deserves every bit of the $100 that I paid him, of which only half of that paid him for his labor. I'm thinking the parts cost him about $50. Wow! It's rare to find anyone that cares so much about doing a good job and to do it for such a reasonable price. His $75 for $130 value deal introduced me to him but his professionalism will keep me coming back. Antonio also does repair work on computers and surveillance cameras. His business card says that he is a systems analyst doing Network, Audio/video and Telecommunications Optimization. I will definitely be calling him and recommending him to anyone that needs a phone screen replaced or computer work done. I don't know how good he is at fixing computers yet, but I love how professional he is and I feel that I could trust him with any job. Thank you Antonio!

You know when your so busy and have so much to do and everything just dosent seem to go your way. Oh and you're also packed and ready to go to Japan the next day and then your phone starts acting up. That was the case for me with my iPhone 6s. I had already been on the phone with apple for hours and with 5 different people. Not just that my phone was new and had issues from the last back up. The apple guy suggested I find an old phone so I can put my information on it and start from scratch on my new one. But where the heck was I going to find a phone at 7:45pm so I can be prepared for my call back the next day and hours before I leave? PHONE ZONE. that's where! Steven came highly recommended by multiple people when I was frantically asking everyone that I knew who to call. Not only did he wait for me and didn't close till I got there. He greeted me with a smile and was not rushing to get me in and out of the store. He also made me explain everything that happened to make sure he can take Care of me. All while his brother Jason was working his magic on another phone of another happy client that broke his screen. I can't even explain the selflessness that he possessed and how he kept me So calm in my frantic state. My phone is My life. I do everything on it. Then to put the cherry on top. He extended me credit and told me to pay for my phone when I got back so I can have no extra worries on my trip. I mean come on. People and businesses are not like this anymore. And when you find places that do you cherish them and promote them the best way you can. I hope all you in the yelposphere look to phone Zone for all of your phone needs. My iphone 6S wouldn't charge...apparently dead....and an Apple Store 'engineer' at the Fashion Valley 'genius bar' checked it out and concluded....adamantly....and I must emphasize here...adamantly....that my phone was dead....I needed a new one, all pictures and contacts and whatever else I had on he phone was lost for eternity, and my phone was essentially worthless for trade in to support purchase of a new phone. Buying a new phone was my only option according to this 'genius'. Wow!....went to Phone Zone Wireless in the Vons center at Avocado and Chase in El Cajon at the advise of my daughter to get a second opinion.... they first checked the battery (Apple Store apparently doesn't have this capability), but this wasn't the problem so PZW they went on to detect and fix the phone in a few hours (a short between the charging port and board) and threw in a new charging port for no charge. Great service and communication from PZW in this process, in contrast to absolutely dismal response from the supposed 'experts' at the Apple Store. Learned an important lesson here....and now greatly value the local expert help provided by providers like PZW. Apple Store is totally lame and should be ashamed of themselves, while PZW is totally the boss. So happy to have my phone back and saving nearly a thousand dollars. Woohoo...As good as it gets! read more

This is the BEST place to get your iPone/iPad screen repaired ever! My iPhone was in such bad shape with its completely shattered screen with black spots where it didn't even glow anymore (some of the screen had chipped and fallen off), a missing control button on the bottom, and some of the screen had even lost its recognition of the touch of your finger so it was inoperable. Steve was amazing and totally took care of it. My phone was repaired in 20 minutes tops & he even threw a protective iPhone case into the whole deal. Not only that, but it was repaired with actual Apple factory parts (not the cheap parts a lot of stores use) so the phone looks like I just purchased it brand new from Apple. I was most satisfied with the repair. I highly recommend coming here. The employees at Phone Zone have excellent customer service and they will work with your every technology need. This place is AMAZING!! I've never seen a phone store like this if your have a iphone i think they have every accessorizes ever made in this store from colored screens to see threw screens all the way down to waterproof cases ! the customer service is great & the store is good looking too! After many years of love, my Dell Inspiron laptop started having issues with the charging port becoming too loose and I had to revert to 2000s-era wired headphones of wiggling the wire until it worked again. Obviously this wasn't ideal and due to financial issues I couldn't just drop $700 for a new laptop. So I reached out to Jason and his team for a solution. I met Steven and Mario (from the Rancho SD location) who were very friendly and accommodating to my needs, including a free consultation to see if my laptop was worth fixing. Fortunately the team provided me a great deal to repair my laptop and I dropped it off with Mario once the part arrived. Mario had several repairs ahead of me, but was very concise about when it would be ready. I was pleasantly surprised to find my laptop was ready and working perfectly fine the same day. I walked in with my son on October 24, 2014 to replace his screen on his 5s Iphone. I was surprised at the price. It is about $30 cheaper than other places. Steven was so friendly and helpful. Jason straightened the corner of his cell and replaced the screen in about 10 minutes. I have never had such fast service. Jason was very friendly. We also bought an Otter cover that was also $30 cheaper than other places. The cover I wanted for my cell, I haven't been able to fine. Stephen found it and ordered it for me. I have never been so pleased with a wireless store before. I highly recommend this place. Thank You Steven and Jason. I will be telling everyone to go to you, because everyone breaks their screen at least once in their life. I drove 25 minutes to get there and it was well worth it. read more

I can't say enough good things about Steven, Jason, and their whole team. Since I have the world's worst luck with phones, I see them quite often! I have bought phones from them, had them repaired by them, bought all my cases from them all for a fraction of the price you would pay going to the actual phone stores such as AT&T or verizon. If you need to talk to someone about your phone JASON is the man to go to. He's helped me about 20 times every time I needed something for my phone. I've broken my screen many times and he's helped me fix it. I get all my amazing cases from Jason. I one time broke my phone so bad I didn't know how I was Going to get all my information back because I didn't have iCloudand forgot to back it up on my computer. Wow! I am so happy to know there is such an amazing place as Phone Zone. This is my 5th time dealing with them. I have had two iPads repaired by them and two cel phones. This last time my phone wasn't able to be repaired. They worked very hard on it. And unfortunately they weren't able to fix it. And believe it or not they didn't charge me anything. This store is new in the Vons shopping center and its awesome! The staff is super helpful and I got a FREE phone and they paid for my prepaid plan for the first month with a coupon I found on my door. I also got a free bluetooth with the phone...they let me use both coupons! I'll definitely be coming back to pay my bill every month and I'm getting 50% off a phone case just for writing this review! They had really low phone prices on the iPhone and the Galaxy SII as well, way lower than the corporate stores in the mall. Great new shop with great phone deals! I smashed my screen on my GS7 and I did not have phone insurance to replace it so I went on yelp and Phone Zone Wireless came up. I called and spoke with Steven he seemed knowledgeable and answered all of my questions and concerns. I went to the store within that hour and he told me that they should be able to fix my broken phone. Steven was professional and had my phone fixed within an hour. I took my son's i-phone in because he broke the screen...again and left the phone in his pocket during a swimming lesson. I thought the phone was toast but Jason took it apart and looked at the damage. He was very honest with me about the potential damage. He called me later that day and had the phone working and charged me less than my carrier wanted even though insured! Uhh-mazing service!!! Cracked my 5s iphone, tried to fix myself and broke some stuff. I took it into Jason, he promised over the phone to fix it and he did just that. I was referred by a friend to Jason for my broken laptop screen. Jason and Allen were both professional and courteous.
