Phone dropped from a roller coaster right before repair

AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Both employees I interacted with were super kind, patient, and clear with their intentions, pricing, and work. My iPhone 14 Pro slipped out of my pocket during the Wonder Woman: Flight of Courage ride at Six Flags and completely shattered. I've dropped it several times in the past from all different heights on all different surfaces, just never this severely and my phone never budged. The front screen and inside of the phone was completely fine and worked normally. After light research, I realized I needed a housing replacement because the entire back and sides of my phone were destroyed (as seen in photo). They quoted me $219 over the phone, I went in, they confirmed what my phone needed and fixed it. I think housing replacements are usually $229, but since they remembered what they said over the phone, they honored the price! I didn't take a clear after photo, but my phone was good as new! You could not tell anything ever happened. They gave me a camera protector and let me know that my battery was a bit swollen and damaged, but it was not an issue and it was normal. However, after further inspection, my phone screen was slightly lifted and I suspected that it had something to do with the battery. I brought it in two weeks later and they adjusted it, no charge. Now, it looked completely new, could not tell anything ever happened. Since that incident, I understand that my phone is not the same and I've been careful to even the slightest drops. I've dropped it a couple times on carpet from about a feet high and my phone was fine. HOWEVER: today my phone slipped out of my hand from about 2 feet high, flat on the screen side onto carpet floor, and the back is now all cracked. I do not blame Phone Zone Wireless as they did an amazing job with the repair and I did drop my phone. Except I do think these repairs are a temporary fix for bigger issues and because these parts are not exactly the same as my original device, I will be looking into a new phone rather than coming back for another repair. Overall, these guys are great at their job, but these fixes are not as durable as they were before and depending on severity, save your money for something new. Remember that you pay for both the parts and the service, the service is great, the parts not so much.

Disappointed since I was quoted a price of $99.0 for the back glass repair and expected to pay that amount. I was told the quote was for the screen not the back glass. I showed them the Yelp message I sent and said there back cracked. He told me he didn't see it and that Yelp sometimes doesn't show the whole message... what a crap. Other repair shop quoted me lower or same price and noted that it was for the back glass. Either this shop is a liar or telling the truth but I can't recommend someone like this. Go to the other repair shops. I showed the other repair quotes to the front personnel and the message from YELP and the explanation was some messages don't get through. And the message was clear on my end "back of phone cracked". It was the message from the shop which was vague. Yes I accepted the price quoted since I was already in the shop and didn't want to go drive again to another repair shop. So it's a YELP problem since the shop said the message was incomplete while other shops saw and read it. I included all the price quotes from other shops for everyone to see. The repair shop did a good job though but will not be a repeat customer or recommend it to others.

I brought my iPhone 12 Pro in to have the back glass replaced (badly cracked each time, yeah I suck) and to have a new battery installed. Every single guy I've interacted with has been awesome. They are very friendly, work quickly, care about the customers and are VERY accommodating. HOW accommodating you might ask? Well I brought my phone in yesterday to have the back glass and battery replaced. They were able to fix the back glass no problem but did not have the battery at the north park location so they asked to come in tomorrow. I mentioned that I wouldn't make it by closing because of my work commute. Well that didn't deter them from being awesome at all. Not only did Miguel, from the downtown shop, bring the battery up from his store, but he showed up at the north park location 30 minutes after closing AND replaced the battery for me. I choose to support local businesses and I am MORE than happy to spend some time writing up a review (here and on google) for great people behind a great local small business. I hope this review is helpful (it really is) and hope you give them your business (cmonnn). Thank you guys for giving a s**t about your customers!

This can be said for the people who have easy fixes and/or communicate every single needed detail to him before he goes to work. When it comes to customers with complicated matters however, this is where it gets shaky. Very shaky. The great 1989 earthquake of San Francisco shaky. Donald Trump's reaction to Bad Bunny shaky. He becomes combative and defensive, as you can see on his replies on all the bad reviews here. I brought my Macbook to him on May 2024 because it kept freezing. He got it working again in about two weeks! Amazing!!! HOWEVER... what he decided to do WITHOUT MY CONSENT was upgrade my system. I never asked him to do such a thing. So in his defense, he said I should've told him from the beginning to not upgrade my computer. I didn't want an upgrade because my older programs I frequent would not work anymore with the new OS. So, what? Is it standard operating procedure for this to happen? Is it common knowledge? I never signed a contract, nor did he ever give a word stating he would upgrade my system if he ever saw the need for it. This was a continuous uphill argument that only gave me a worsening, worsening impression on him. As you can see, Roger does not practice the classic businessman's motto "the customer is always right". He did offer to fix things anyway at no additional cost. Thing is, I gave him my laptop to attempt reversing the upgrade in June 2024 and he kept it for ONE WHOLE YEAR. Within that year, I'd follow up with him every week. He apparently has been hospitalized, went to the Philippines and was having personal problems. I don't know which of those to believe. But long story short, I didn't receive my laptop back until early July 2025. There was no extra work done to it. It was in the same condition as when I handed it back to him a year prior with the updated OS. He even gave me a box for a new iPad, with no iPad inside it. Very funny Roger. People, I've come to learn he isn't registered with the BBB or the BHGS. He also blocked my phone number, as I was trying to reach out to him for at least a partial refund, and my text never said delivered. This guy used to argue that he did fix my system, and the amount I paid him covered that. But where's the customer satisfaction? I didn't get that AT ALL. The amount I paid him SHOULD include customer satisfaction. It's basic business principle isn't it? So behind the polite smile, the "God bless you", the "it warms my heart when you leave good reviews", this is what you'll get when something doesn't go your way. I'll never have my old Macbook the way it was again and my $372.35 was thrown in the trash. I'll never hear and edit the inspiring audio that I can only access with my old ProTools program. Nor could I ever see or edit the amazing photos I kept in my old Lightroom program ever again. Thank you Roger. Thank you for teaching me that my weakness in undercommunicating will cost me in the end. Thank you for adding an unanswered grievance to my life. This is one malpractice on your part Dr. Apple. And my heart goes out to the others that have been wronged under your care.

So, after a search for phone repair shops in my area, I decided to stop by Big Time Phone Repair. Peter was the name of the tech who checked out the screen and battery to figure out exactly what was wrong. He explained to me the best and worst case scenarios before doing any repair. He tested my iPhone and the issue turned out to be the battery, which he quickly replaced to remedy the issue. I was in and out within like 30min time with my iPhone fully functioning once again, at a very reasonable cost. Highly recommended!

However, I was not contacted , and during that time I had to repeatedly reach out myself to get any updates on the status of my device. This lack of communication was both frustrating and unprofessional. I had to call the following day more than 24 hours later to get an update and then he finally told me it had been ready since the morning and no one bothered to reach out. The white screen they were attempting to put on turned out to be defective and they said if I wanted the same color, I would have to wait a week otherwise they could do black same day . I chose black because I needed it before we left to go out of town .Additionally, during the repair process, the back of my iPad was scratched while your staff attempted to remove glue. At No point was I contacted to inform me of this issue or to request my approval before proceeding in a way that could damage the device. I should have been notified immediately and given the opportunity to approve or decline any action that could affect the condition of my iPad. I entrusted my device to your business expecting proper communication, care, and professionalism. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet those expectations. I do not recommend this business for any type of replacement. Their communication and professionalism is poor.
