We're regular customers here . Today I ordered for pickup . Ordered few plates and a pad Thai with the chili on the side because of my kids . I paid for my order ( it was about $65) When I picked up my order I asked for Some chili paste for the pad Thai like I usually do and The lady decided to charge me an extra $1 for the 2 tiny containers of Chili . Food is great. Service wasn't. I sat there for 30 almost 40 minutes and watched them serve every incoming customer before me on a order I placed over the phone 15 minutes prior to that. when you go to a dine in restaurant your looking for multiple aspects of your dinner. First impression was very unsatisfactory whereas the time to get greeted for multiple open tables was poorly conducted. Then upon sitting it took over 15 minutes for the open greeting for drinks and menus. From then the next return was another 15 minutes we ordered drinks apps and meals in one go. To the time the first two of the 4 meals were served we had to ask about the other two dishes of similar style to the first two bowls, it was 15 minutes where we asked about the meal. we asked the other server about it and he was much more attentive then our server(note the other server not ours was working very hard and it was uncomfortable asking the guy who was not our server to help us). He went to the kitchen and got those other meals to us in a timely manner. The difficult part also was that the food flavor was good from the spring rolls to the pho and rice noodles. Unfortunately the service threw us off so bad all we could talk about was how out server was not taking responsibility nor any acknowledgment of his shortcomings. It made the overall ambiance leaving a bad taste of quality. We fully understand of staffing situations or a very overcrowded location, but neither were present and to bring returning customers its a full effort and seizing an opportunity to make a customers want to return and try the rest of the menu. read more

I'm only giving this place one star because it's a requirement. I ordered online the pho with rare steak and tendon with shrimp... because that is what was on their menu.... THEIR MENU! Went to pick it up, brought it home... there is no shrimp. So I call, thinking they'd say, oh come by and get some shrimp or come another day and get a free bowl... not what happened... after talking to a woman who didn't quite understand, she gives the phone to Matthew who I assume is a cook. He says he remembered the order but says the receipt doesn't say extra shrimp. I tell him I didn't order extra shrimp. It came with the bowl. Then I send a screenshot of THEIR ONLINE MENU WHERE THE BOWL IS LISTED WITH SHRIMP. Matthew tells me that that is incorrect and that the manager hasn't fixed it yet but there is no shrimp in that bowl. I say to Matthew well that is not my problem online it says that their shrimp Matthew says that if there was shrimp, it would be $16. I again say none of this is my problem because the mistake is not on me. It's on you if you guys have the incorrect information on your menu that you created and I order something off of your menu that you created and it is not what I get that is the restaurants fault and not my own. I say, at least can I get compensated for one of the bowls because I bought 2 neither one of them have shrimp in them. Can I get compensated for one of them? He says no because I didn't order shrimp. I say again, I'm ordering off your menu!! It says shrimp!! He says his manager is there right now to change it. I say congratulations but what does that have to do with the bowl that I ordered that has no shrimp in it. At this point I'm so frustrated. I stopped into Pholicious on a Monday evening after work to place an order To Go. The place was fairly crowded so I had high expectations. I was a tad disappointed. I really wanted Pho when I entered but after reviewing their menu I wanted to try a couple of other items. They have one Beef Pho that includes oxtails so I inquired if I could just order Oxtail Pho. The young lady that helped me was very nice and inquired with the cook. Unfortunately, due to the current price of oxtails they were unwilling to make me the Oxtail Pho. Yes, they said this. I actually understood this because I love oxtails and they are ridiculously high right now. I then asked for an order of their chicken wings and the young lady advised she believed they'd run out. She went back to ask the cook and sure enough they were out of chicken wings at 6pm when dinner is just getting started for most people. Now that was definitely disappointing. I opted for Fried Tofu Pho. Unfortunately, the beef broth, yes beef, it was served with was not flavorful. It tasted as if the broth perhaps had not had enough time to cook into that wonderful aromatic flavor that Pho is known for or they just didn't season it well. They provided one packet of hoisin sauce and one packet of chili paste which just wasn't enough to give the broth the flavors it needed. In addition, I asked that they do not provide jalapenos but they did anyway. I'm super sensitive and do not want it in with my other food items. Overall my visit was a bit disappointing. One star for the 7 year old taking orders. First off the lady in front of me in line stormed off mad, didn't order. I have eaten here so much since it opened so I asked for what I usually ask for, she says "we don't have that" so I ask her if she'd like to go ask someone and she tells me "no". So I say - well you can go ask or I can leave. She goes and asks someone and they come out chewing food with rice or something all over his face. COME ON. I think this place deserves like 3 1/2 stars, not quite 4, but not bad enough for 3 stars. The vegetable stir fry I found pretty good. The sauce was a little heavy on the vegetables. The shrimp in the spring rolls tasted a little bit fishy to me, like it wasn't the most fresh shrimp. I will say the servings are pretty big. I'd suggest sharing if you're a lighter eater. I only tasted the broth of the pho but it was good. Obviously it was a seafood pho, and you could taste that in the broth. Service on the other hand, I think they forgot to bring us out drinks. We ordered a strawberry smoothie (really good) and a honey dew milk tea (too sweet for me, coming from someone who really likes sweet). I saw them sitting on the counter for about 10 minutes after they brought us our food and finally walked them over. We never got checked on after receiving our food and when we were done (I had asked for to go containers and everything) no one ever brought a check to me. This place has a wonderful blend of Americanized and traditional pho food. They serve wonderfully crafted boba and non boba drinks as well as smoothies. Delicious soups with very flavourful broth. Several varieties of fried noodles as well as fried rice. Tastefully hand made spring rolls, and vietnamese style egg rolls which are very delicious. I don't usually say I would rate a business flower than 1 star but tonight it's true. The service was not good. My wife has eaten here twice before and said the Phō was good but agrees that this time it was terrible. Unfortunately we ordered to go l, otherwise I would have asked for a refund. The young guy with the boy band hair cut visibly was upset at something and had an attitude. My wife mentioned this was the case with her two previous visits. He appeared to be upset this time because there were 14 orders ahead of ours. He told the people in front of us that it would take 25 minutes and the guy who appeared to be the boss had words with him and told the customer that it would be quick. Okay, so back to the food. We got home and our food was so extremely bland and the meat was extremely dry and tough. The brass was less flavorful than beef stock that you buy from the store. It did not resemble Phō broth at all! I'm guessing they don't have large batches of this stuff and they are using some kind of a kit and maybe forgot to add the flavor pouch. Our lime slices were like two 1/8th slices. Needless to say nothing that I did to the soup made a difference I got desperate and even tried Montreal steak seasoning! We USED to really love thier food here. Quality isn't good anymore, food is not GOOD. The inside seems so dirty to me, clutter anywhere and bottles of cleaner right by the food. I understand that this is a family business so things may not be done like at a chain restaurant... However, some things are not ok. I would prefer an adult to take my order. Inevitably there are questions such as.... Recommendations? Flavors? Allergy related? Important stuff. A bit annoying when I see an adult owner loudly hanging out with his friends (?) for the ENTIRE time we were there and seemingly not pitching in. The food itself was... good. The grilled chicken vermicelli and beef vermicelli was actually pretty good! Very flavorful. The little pieces of fried tofu was not. Bland and not crispy at all. And it comes on the fish based sauce. A question we attempted to ask our "server" as we had a dietary restriction. On that note NOTHING is vegan lol, just fyi. People who give this place less than 5 stars have absolutely no taste. Everything that I've had here is pho-nomenal. So flavorful--the best in the area by a long shot. People gripe about the service, but they give you everything you need and all you gotta do is ask if you want something more. It's always bustling in there, and for good reason! Got food poisoning from the beef brisket pho. We've eaten here three times and gotten takeout once. Our first time eating there was so good I was surprised their rating here was so low, but now I understand- the place has issues. They have tofu dishes on their online menu that are not on their in-restaurant menu. When you try to order these things as a dine-in customer sometimes they don't know how to put them into their system so once we got the wrong thing and once we ended up overpaying because they took off the meat and then charged extra for adding tofu, even though the online price is less for the same dish. There were two items left out of our takeout order, one we noticed and it was corrected there but the other we didn't notice until we got home so that was a disappointment. The last time we ate in-restaurant my boyfriend got food poisoning and threw everything up the next morning so we won't be going back after that. The staff has always been super friendly. It's too bad that the place has these issues because otherwise I could see us being regular customers there. At the very least the food should be safe to eat. read more

Visited the pholicious on Friday March 29, 2024. I informed the waiter that I have a severe cilantro allergy and if they could not put any cilantro in my vegetable pho. When I received my pho there was cilantro present in my soup. My husband ask if my pho could be made over. The waiter was taken a while to redo my pho. My husband stood up to see what was taking so long and he could see the waiter picking the cilantro out soup. My husband expressed that we didn't want the pho longer and that I was allergic. There was no sympathy nor compassion to the fact that their carelessness could kill me. My goddaughter has been craving pho and I decided to try again. the location again on April 1st a few days after the first incident. I ask for the same vegetable pho and expressed again my food allergy. The menu even states that if there is any food allergies to let them know. My pho once again came out with cilantro. I am done eating here. My life is too important for any negligence. read more
