The pools were great, beach access was great, room was nice well kept up and clean. Local Restaurants/Bars, Shopping, Activity's arcade&dolphin tours etc was super close and nice also. I like the building and amenities. It on the beach. I don't recommend the rental company I used. Southern Vacation Rentals. The place was pricey and awful. It hasn't been painted in forever. Some of the doors are translucent but you can see through them. Like bedroom and bathroom doors? It looks like the night after a frat party. I had to wash all the sheets and comforters as they looked dirty and smelled. The dishes even looked dirty. The rental company ignored my complaints. The paint is peeling off all the furniture. And the condo door was unlocked when we arrived. Stay at Phoenix X just use a different rental company. read more

You don't even have to get back in the car if you don't want. We stayed @solsticeOBA 1403 and it was gorgeous! Completely updated unit with gorgeous views from every direction. It was super clean and had plenty of space for our family. The location is perfect too. You can walk to Florbama and Florbama Yatchclub to grab any meal and drinks, listen to music or hop in your car and minutes to anything you may want or need. We definitely will be back and will book this particular unit because I've stayed in many Phoenix's but this was the nicest one! We have just returned home from a wonderful stay in Unit 909. The condo has 3 bedrooms and 3 baths, all the beds were comfortable and bathrooms were clean and stocked with plenty of white towels. The kitchen is supplied with every appliance, tool, or utensil you could possibly need on a family vacation including a crab boil pot! If you prefer to barbecue there are charcoal grills downstairs near the swimming pool, the condo even has bbq tools to use. The condo staff that we interacted with were all pleasant and helpful. There was plenty of parking available in the parking garage. Never had a problem with the elevators. Our favorite parts of the vacation were of course enjoying the Gulf Coast views from the balcony (we saw dolphins) and the fresh seafood from all the terrific local restaurants, many in walking distance. My family recently rented a beautiful #1403 condo unit. It was amazing and perfect for our family of six. It has three bedrooms and two full baths and has beautiful, elegant and well appointed amenities. The view on the 14th floor is spectacular. I would highly recommend this14th (1403) unit again for large families as it can accommodate three couples. The location is Premier as it is next-door to the Floribama for partying and across The Street is a marina for boat rentals and a waffle house for breakfast. It doesn't get any better than that! read more

Room 508 was dirty. The furnishings were from the 1970's. Poorly decorated for the price. Garbage all over the beach and overflowing garbage dispensaries. Loud music by the pool and kids yelling until 10:30p. Walkway to beach unattended and piles of sand. Security pounding at door to check a leak and the next day pounding to spray for insects while I was in the room! Pool is okay. Pillows were horrible. Couldn't figure out how to use the TV's. However, the staff is very nice. They were open during Wuhan closings in Florida. The beach was beautiful. The views are extremely lovely. The beaches go on for miles. I enjoyed the beach very much. I think for the cost, they can maintain better and update the condos at least to the current decade. read more

Phoenix X unit 514 **Worth the read** Hmmm. Where do I begin? My husband booked this unit back in early February. It looked nice (by the photos posted) and sounded nice. About a month before our arrival I decided to check out reviews. I noticed the few reviews posted after we had already booked didn't sound so great. Mentioned was cle anliness of the building and unit being dirty along with batteries in fire alarm and remote controls needed to be replaced and one complaint about sand found in one of the beds. I decided to make a phone call to the management company to share my concerns and to make sure we wouldn't be walking into a disaster. The woman that I talk to said "maybe the cleaning service was having an off day"...really?? Then she came right out and offered me a full refund if I wanted. I thought that was really strange. We decided not to cancel due to everything being booked seeing everybody needed a vacation after Covid. During the 15+ hour drive down my husband gets a call from management saying that the recliner in our unit was broken. It was reclined back with the leg rest sticking out and could not be closed. (Tripping hazard) After entering the front door (which by the looks of the front door I should've known what I was walking into was a disaster) I wish the broken recliner was the only issue that we had to deal with but it wasn't. *The door to where washer/dryer, and water heater were at was caked with dust that can be easily wiped off but looked like it wasn't for a good month. (Maybe not a big deal to some but with 2 asthmatic people in my family..it's a big deal) *Towels that we're given had locked in dirt stains and were either so old or so cheap that they felt like sandpaper. *One of the beds was no longer connected to the headboard. You can tell that it had been fixed a few times due to all the nails exposed. *There was sand on top of one of the comforters. *The hallway bathroom light fixture covers didn't match and one was missing. *Both bathrooms shower liner and curtains were full of mold/mildew. *One of the fire alarms needed new batteries and chirped once every one to two minutes. *The master bedrooms vanity area walls and bathroom were started to me painted but not finished. *The fan/vent cover was missing in master bathroom. *There was hair left on the floor in the master bedroom shower. *Found and killed a roach and all management could say was they spray the building every 2 weeks. *One other concern was when reading the check out list it mentions NOT stripping down the beds. Only leaving towels in one area. I've never stayed in a condo unit where it said that. Then it made me wonder if we were even sleeping on clean sheets?!...especially if the cleaning service was having an off day. ‍ Oh, and the furniture that is shown in photos (including chaise lounge) that looks nice....4 out of 8 pieces were ripped or broke and rusty screws hanging out from them. After complaining to management, a few thing got fixed. I was happy with what was fixed however not happy that we wasted a day dealing with phone calls, texts, and sitting in the room while issues were being taken care of. Also, not happy that they delivered 4 folding chairs (for balcony) and 2 new shower curtains all with tags on and left right inside the doorway for us to set up. What a mess to the start of a much needed vacation. read more

The Phoenix X put the "redneck" in "The Redneck Riviera". People walking around with beers and bad clothes. Find it hard to call this family-friendly in any other context. The facilities are convenient, and "clean" if you're into that kind of thing. Decor in room 707 was soul-crushing; can't speak to the others. It had the standard bad beach motif with the addition of badly faded prints and garage sale finds. If you are accustomed to the more upscale, spend some time looking. This isn't the place for you. The only advantage to this one is its placement next to the Flora-Bama, which you will be made well aware of. read more

The place is ok and penthouse suite is nice but the clientele are - somewhat trashy - and I mean literally - the beach has an abundance of beer cans and cigarette butts. Although there are signs everywhere asking you to "leave only footprints" I'm guessing about half the folks here can't read. I suspect they drive pickup trucks that are full of cigarette butts and empty beer cans. Our unit was very nicely appointed with massive furniture and comfortable beds but if you stay here in July be ready to do some cleanup around your beach area. read more

We chose this condo because it was next to the Flora-Bama. Its nice being able to just walk there. We spent our days and nights partying on the beach and wandering in and out of the Flora-Bama. There is also a liquor store across the street for getting booze for the room. On my last day, I left my toiletries kit in the room. Unfortunately, I didn't remember until my friend had checked everyone out (the room was under his name). The security guard was very nice and opened the room back up for me. read more

Unit 301 was perfect for our family vacation! The rental was through White Shores Realty, and we had no complaints regarding our stay! We loved the location, really nice decor, brand new kitchen appliances, comfortable beds, and really nice TVs in every room! Everything was very clean! The wrap around porch is great, with plenty of seating. The kitchen is fully stocked with all of your essentials plus plenty of extras (cute serving trays, numerous pots/pans, plenty of Tupperware, extra bowls, blender, crockpot, etc.) The 3 bedroom condo was very spacious. The master bedroom has a king bed with access to the wrap around balcony and a private bathroom. The second bedroom also has a king size bed with access to an additional balcony. The third bedroom has a queen bed and a twin, with a shared balcony and bathroom. There is also an additional half bathroom in the unit, which was great for our family sleeping on the queen size sofa bed! Unit 301 was awesome because since it's located in the corner, you never hear anyone walking in front of your door! The condo is on the opposite side of the Florabama, so you don't hear any of the music and can enjoy quiet time on the balcony. We loved spending time at Florabama and the yacht club, and being able to walk there was awesome! Phoenix X also has tennis courts, a workout room, sauna, indoor and outdoor pools, and a BBQ area if you want to grill. You can rent umbrellas and chairs right in front of the condo, or you can bring your own! We will definitely be back to Phoenix X 301! read more

Just left after a 4 night stay here and it was ok. The property is on a stretch of the Blvd that has less around it (it's literally next door to Florabama bar/restaurant which is great) but we didn't mind too much. Other bites and bars are a very short Lyft away. The condo itself was very spacious and had a great view. We had a 3 bedroom and all of the beds were relatively uncomfy. The one I had was probably the worst bed I've ever slept in. There's and indoor pool and 2 hot tubs but here was construction everywhere- and the indoor pool area smelled so strongly of chlorine we couldn't even go in. The outdoor pool was a great size but the kiddie pool was TINY. Put your hot tubs outside and make them adult only! There's a private ish section of beach, chairs and umbrellas available to rent (which should honestly just be included). Also, check in isn't till 4pm - but we had to check out at 10 am... Really?! That totally sucked. read more

On the unit itself, moldy showers, broken chair, sliding door to balcony that wouldn't open. Nice view though at 5:00AM. One and done here. read more

We've stayed here many times. Love that it's next door to Florabama and across the road from the Old River Bar and the yacht club. I wouldn't recommend this place if you're just doing a vacation with your small children and not planning to hit up Florabama. It gets pretty wild at night and is very loud. A couple of nights ago, a drunk guy threw a full beer can off the third floor and hit my son who was standing by the pool. Security and staff handled it well. There were naked guys running outside when we checked in. Again, if you're looking to party and have a good time, this place is perfect for you. Just do your family vacations elsewhere. :) read more

We came here for Mullet Toss 2018. We had a room on the 14th floor. Of course, parking was rough. I only paid 35 dollars for the weekend parking pass for the hotel. Our door didn't have a key pad, so it was left unlocked most of the trip. The only thing I didn't like about this place are the elevators. They not only took forever but they were small considering how large this place is. Overall we enjoyed our stay, and would recommend this place - especially during your Mullet Toss stay! read more

These are nice condos in a good location with excellent Gulf views and beautiful beaches. Stayed on the 14th floor which prevented us from hearing any of the music from the Flora-Bama bar next door. Only downside is that during spring break, college kids will take over the hot tub and pool areas and trash the areas with beer cans. They used the pool as a toilet--sitting in the hot tub, jumping in the pool for a few seconds, then getting back in the hot tub. This situation could be managed by the staff MUCH better. I would return to this condo but NOT during spring break. read more

Very dissatisfied with customer service here. If you have any inconvenience in life and need to reschedule your trip, be prepared to be unaccommodated. My fiancé's parents booked a room & when they realized they couldn't make the trip, they offered it to us. Upon arrival, we were told the person who booked had to be there.... Then we were told we had to be 25 years of age...(they would not make an exception for 24yo)... then we were told IF we were married, then they would allow us to check in.... There was NO manager on staff & the front desk attendant was unable to get us in contact with one so we had to call a service number that just kept forwarding the calls in circles. I understand policies being put in place to protect the hotel, but there was simply no understanding or explaining. If you have a picture perfect life, this may be the place for you. But, if you have any sort of family emergency, major life event, or health event that could spring up, please find somewhere else to book or have spare change to pay for a trip you cant make... and don't drive 5 hours to the hotel before calling and HOPEFULLY getting (in contact with someone &) a straight answer from someone on if you can check in or cancel. read more

We booked this facility for the indoor pool and we were disappointed because the indoor pool was "closed for lightning". The facility manager, Chuck, was not onsite to monitor the situation and couldn't offer us any options or alternatives. It is not an industry standard to close an indoor pool due to the threat of lightning and it put a damper on our stay. We stayed in these condos for a week long vacation in July and we were very pleased with our stay! We were in a private condo on the 11th floor. The beach is so close and the access to the beach is easy and fast! The actual inside of the condo was very nice and clean. However, the toilets were strange and didn't quite flush completely no matter how long you hold the flusher and toilet paper was not provided. The wifi is also spotty and you will have to end up using your own data to find information about the city. Another upside is that is it located right next to the famous bar Flora-Bama and the walk to its bar and restaurant location takes less then 2 minutes! All in all, we were very impressed and would return! read more

We Just returned home after a week at the P-X. We've always stayed at The Beach Club of Fort Morgan and wanted a new beach spot. I'll start with saying you never realize how good you have it til you change. The building is a great central location in Gulf Shores/Perdido. As for the P-X it was dirty, stinky, and in need of repairs. I felt like no one cleaned the glass in elevators or doors, wet floor mats smelled like VOMIT. In the am, the "cleaning crew" had blowers on the mats which was a vile walk to beach entrance all 50 steps! I've never seen so many cigarette butts and "bottle top" lids in the sand or Everywhere! The beach front too was trashed. Never did we see a crew cleaning up only the Ike's guys were out cleaning. Overall our condo was nice, not fabulous by any means. Our family we traveled with had another condo by same owner and theirs was tricked out. Yes I was Jealous!! Anyway, the last of my disgruntled complaint will be the young renters partying ALL NIGHT, the were screaming off patios, poolside and there weren't accessible courtesy guards keeping an ear out. We thought this would be more family oriented than it actually was. Yes, there were families staying here but it totally turned into a party hotel starting Thursday night into Sunday which was not fun at all as it turned pool areas and beach into total drunk people zones. The beach itself while beautiful, was not maintained very well. So many cigarette butts and red solo cups!!! Disgusting to say the least. We ended up picking up trash every day out there on our walks. I've never seen such a thing. The indoor pool was fantastic when not crowded with drunk frat boys. The elevators were fast when they worked. We stayed on the 11 Th floor which worked well as most of the party people were under us. But lots of smoking on balconies which set off my allergies. The balconies were very large and comfy with wonderful views of the dolphins in the morning. That was a fun surprise. The location was not the most ideal for our family as it's isolated from most things. But it is a short drive into Orange Beach itself. The Flora Bama is right next door with its loud music and drunks stumbling over so that was eye opening for sure. We did see lots of security but they seemed to not do anything. Parking was nice but very expensive. We were quoted 21 by the owner and when we paid, it was 34.78!! Learned that lesson. But the car stayed relatively unharmed. There was construction on hotel while we were there during the day which ruined two days of balcony action as well. Not impressed with how this property is run....it was advertised as a family friendly place and obviously was not. All in all, while we absolutely loved the unit we stayed in, we will never be back because of the environment. We want a peaceful, quiet, family oriented place to spend our money at and this was extremely far from it. If you're looking to pack a bunch of people into a room to get drunk and ruin others vacations, this is the place for you. The only reason we give this more than one star is because our unit was clean and comfortable and the front desk ladies were very friendly and the dolphins pretty much saved the mornings. read more

Stayed in 909- The upside is the beach is awesome, we do wish people would pick up their trash instead of leaving it around. Our beach attendant with Ike's was amazing. The pool was clean , the Brett Robinson staff was nice. The condo, however, needed some attention....there was black mold on the shower curtain in the master bedroom, which was pretty disgusting. The master bed is hard and pillows were pancake flat. My family said the other two bedrooms beds and pillows were comfortable. All the comforters look faded and worn. The sliding door from the master to the balcony didn't work. The sliding door from the living room to the balcony would stick and was really heavy and difficult to slide. I went to use a pan from the kitchen and it was absolutely filthy. I showed the Brett Robinson front desk person a picture of it and she was appalled as well. Several of the pans with non stick coating were super scratched up and I didn't want to use them. The garbage disposal smelled bad. The light from the hall was so bright coming thru the front bedroom window my in-laws had a difficult time sleeping. They really should consider black out shades. This unit just needs a good deep cleaning and updating. Don't look for one thing extra in this condo, it is equipped with the minimum standard required. We have stayed at Phoenix properties for years and this time I rented 2 condos for my family and this is the most disappointed we have been in our condos since we started coming. When you spend what we spent on these condos the expectation isn't a subpar experience but that's what we received. Will definitely shop around to other venues in the future. read more

I stayed in this building for a week this fall, and enjoyed it overall. My stay was in room 1507 on the top floor (floor 15). The room had three bedrooms and two bathrooms, one of which was part of the master. A balcony was attached to the living room and I ended up spending a lot of time on it. The view was beautiful, and there was a nice breeze coming off the water. Almost all the walls were decorated with paintings, however many of them were awkwardly placed, as if there was desperation to fit them all. Both the deck sliding door and the front entry door to the unit were extremely hard to open. I wished for another bathroom, as we had a lot of family compared to two bathrooms. Other units, I heard, had three bathrooms. The elevator shaft windows and the glass roof on the lobby needed washed desperately. But, overall, I have given this stay a four out of five because I recommend it, but there are some details that need fixed or smoothed over. read more

We have stayed here before and it was pretty good, but I am staying here a second time and the room we got was awful. The place was tiny, but we won't be staying inside much so that is ok. The floors however were not clean even though they said they were cleaned before we got here. My feet turned so dark from just walking a couple of minutes on the floor. My bed also had stains on it so I wouldn't be surprised if they just made the bed instead of washing and changing the sheets. This was the case the last time as well with the cleaning but thought we give it another go. It is in a good location but I don't think it is worth it if you might be sleeping on sheets other people have been doing the dirty on! Also we have been to the pool the place has last time we stayed and it was closed due to the storm outside. I didn't think that was possible. Isn't it a indoor pool for a reason? I wouldn't stay here again unless things change. read more

Rented unit 1117 upon arrival had to clean it was filthy. Toilet was leaking, sink in bathroom was leaking, bathroom light cover was broken. Reported all to Erica property manager. Day two maintenance came in repaired toilet day 3 maintenance repaired sink. No one ever came to clean. Today we checked out I got a call from Erica saying they are going to charge me for the broken light that was broken when we arrived. This unit is Managed by Southern Vacation Rental. I asked for the owner to contact me Erica said that would not be possible. Please do not use Southern Vacation Rental. I have been checking reviews and find this is what they do charge for things that you did not do SCAMMERS!!! read more

Our first room contained so much mold the housekeeper would not even clean because he was worried about getting himself sick. Luckily the front desk moved us to a cleaner room, which was much nicer. However, if you are over 30 do not stay at this property. Loud music at pool past the 11pm closing. Even louder music and noise way into the early morning. Security was called but said they could not pin-point the noise but acknowledged that it was disturbing and they could not find the source so therefore nothing could be done. DO NOT stay here unless you like noise, you like to party and you don't mind vomit flying off the balcony. read more
