When I arrived, they said I could choose any color for Dazzle Dry, which sounded to me like it was available (I mean, don't you agree?). It was only after I sat down and they started, that they mentioned they could not do Dazzle Dry. At this point, it really didn't matter. Weird to me: - completely dry - no soaking of nails - I mentioned that I don't do no chip anymore cause the drills freak me out and then they took out a drill to do my cuticles - nail tech stopped halfway through and someone else finished However, I did like: - peaceful ambience - quiet - tech said I had hands like a doll - relaxing hand massage - inexpensive They let me sit for a few minutes to let my nails air dry (no dryer) but I always hate that so I left as soon as I could. I love how my nails turned out so much. This is the best cat eye nails I've gotten on the north shore plus it was a bit cheaper than other places ($75 before tip). My nail tech was very patient and never rushed (even though she was running a few min behind). Other places have rushed and it didn't turn out as well. She also helped me pick out the color, the design of the cat eye, and made sure i was happy with my nails at each step before moving on. I will definitely be coming back!! Also if you want to book cat eye online, make sure to add the cat eye add-on with the gel/no chip.

However when we went in they charged us $50 each. Not a huge deal, but still was more than I was quoted. Nice staff and I really liked the person who did my nails. Unfortunately the job done wasn't all that great. I've had better done for cheaper at other places. My mani/pedi was also done much more quickly than the friends I was with. One friend had to have her nails redone, also as there were some issues. My fingers chipped 2 days later and my toes don't look all that great either. It was fine...alright...okay...but I don't see myself ever coming back here.

There were about six nail stations and six chairs, and it seemed roomy and clean. There is a large screen TV in the center of the space, and it was playing "Julie and Julia," from 2009, starring Meryl Streep as Julia Child. The sound was off, captions were on. The story looked quite interesting, although I am not a fan of Meryl Streep. My technician, Jennifer, did a nice job, she fixed a nail that cracked, gave a nice hand massage and (bonus) a neck massage too. I liked that there were drying fans for each hand, and my nails look good. I thought it a little pricey compared to my recent manicures and the color selection was limited. I probably will come back after my DD tour of the area is concluded.

I had a gift card for a manicure and pedicure and was told over the phone they could only fit me in for the pedicure that day, but that I could come back the next day for the manicure at no additional charge. Sounded reasonable -- until I showed up. Suddenly, they tried to tell me that splitting the services would cost more because the gift card included a discount for doing both at once. I was furious -- I had just confirmed with them by phone that this wouldn't be an issue. After pushing back, they reluctantly said they could do the manicure, but only if it happened at the same time as my pedicure. Mind you, there wasn't a single other customer in the salon and I arrived well over an hour before closing. The service itself was rushed, impersonal, and I felt like they couldn't wait to get me out the door. In fact, they basically kicked me out 30 minutes before their posted closing time, again, despite the place being completely empty. Save yourself the frustration -- there are too many other salons in the area to waste time or money here. I'll never go back.

Honestly the first thing I noticed was that the ownership changed. Ordinarily I wouldn't care but I missed seeing Grace & Kristina. I've been a customer at least 10 years. I know that staff changes when ownership changes. The one thing I noticed it was one of the fastest pedicures I've ever had. The main reason women treat themselves is to relax. It was difficult to relax when I felt rushed. My pedicure lasted 25 minutes. It was a good pedicure. I loved my color, my leg massage, and the hot towel was wonderful. I just wished it lasted longer.
