I'll start by saying that the staff is nice and they'll answer all the questions you have. I believe they are just following company policies so this review isn't against them. Having said that, I rented their car twice so far and this will be the last time. The first time, I was a bit shocked that they gave me a dirty car and when I asked if I could get another one, they said no. I did take it but I returned it the next day as there was no way I was driving in that vehicle. The second car I rented was a couple of weeks ago. I wasn't sure if they were going to give me another dirty car so I came prepared to refuse it if that was the case. But the car was clean and nice so no issue there. The problem is unless you get unlimited mileage for $500 a week, you have to watch your personal miles. After dropping off a customer a few days ago in a mountain area, I had connection issues and apparently the app went off line and they charged me for going over my personal miles, even though I was still online the whole time. When I reached out to support, I was asked to contact the local hub. Another problem is this hub does not have any contact info and they wanted me to drive to the location just to clarify the issue. Needless to say that I did not, as I live 2 hours away. I ended up paying the fee because of connection issues. I was also trying to figure out if can return the car after hours and again, support was just telling me to stick to the hours I was given in the app because again, no way to reach this local hub to confirm. I ended up returning the car yesterday. I only kept it a couple of weeks as it just wasn't a good deal. Also, be aware that Lyft will take from your profits when you rent their cars. Basically, it's not enough to pay them weekly for the rental. They also feel like they have to pay you less than other drivers, because you are driving their car. That alone cannot be a good deal long term. If you want to make money doing this, I would recommend renting from other local companies instead, like AZ trusted auto or similar, even though their cars are older. read more

I had A really good experience renting a car here. The staff was knowledgeable and helped me out and most importantly got me on my way quickly since I had all my documents and everything ready to go. I was given a hybrid that was in decent shape. It was a little dirty on the inside like the previous driver didn't have super high standards of cleanliness but I took care of that soon enough. Car runs and drives like a dream and I'm averaging almost 50 miles to the gallon! read more

I absolutely hate getting stuff done to my car because I know nothing about car shit. This place was new and close to my apartment so I went to it. Needed two things - dent repair and an oil change. Both of these things got done really well for a great price. Again, hate doing car stuff, but if it's this easy I am more than happy to come here every time! read more

Don't take your car here for body damage unless you want interior damage done to your car as well. I took my car there in July, and while in this shop's possession they left a spare tire BARE on my white leather back seat. The back seat is destroyed and needs completely replaced. After having it moved to a different shop, Lyft failed to include all of the bolts to the frame when they released to another shop, thus causing an extra $1,500 worth of parts needed for my car. I mean, come on. Even when totaled and taken to auction, you include all of the parts with it. I have tried being kind and patient, but now I've been trying to contact their management multiple times since September and no one returns my calls. Do not take your vehicle here. read more

The staff here are very helpful and genuinely interested in helping potential and existing drivers. My experience with the actual driving platform has been near terrible. It is unfortunate that Lyft on the whole doesn't shine the way the employees do at the Phoenix Driver Center. The wait time has never exceeded 20 minutes, even without an appointment. When you walk in you are politely greeted and quickly checked in by an employee. For those not wanting to wait inside the lobby, the staff gladly steps outside the door to let you know when it is your turn to be seen. Renting a vehicle through the Express drive program is fast and simple, taking maybe another 20 minutes. The staff is happy to answer any questions you might have whether they relate to your earnings, the app or general knowledge. When I arrived a minute after closing time yesterday to return my rental, an employee already outside was happy to take my keys and assured me that he would check in my vehicle, so as to avoid my contract automatically renewing on Monday morning. During that process a second employee came out of the locked building and patiently went through the formal process of checking the vehicle in. Before I left I already had a receipt for the return waiting in my inbox. If you happen to have a poor experience driving for Lyft such as myself, rest assured that at least the staff here at the Phoenix driver center will take great care of you! Thank you guys. read more

they gave me a dirty car before I even started driving and the Mexican guy that worked at Lyft tried to charge me a fee for having a dirty car when I brought it back but it was not dirty I took it every day to get clean at the car wash I do not recommend Lyft for anyone this is a rip off you don't even make any money doing this! read more
