Well ever since I've been working in streamwood passing by I've been also exploring the restaurants in Roselle because one of my mom's close friends used to live here as well as her son who still lives here and is now taking over her home which is now his home. So far I tried Mr A's across the street for breakfast and it's a hit or miss it's good on certain dishes like the pancakes but not the French toast. This is my first time trying this Vietnamese place across the street and it seems pretty clean I did try to come here but you have to come here Wednesday through Sunday and I came on a Monday or Tuesday and they were closed. Right now this is my opportunity trying them and so far it's been a quaint and ambience on the declar if they're playing soft jazz music. So far service was pretty quick. Instead of the typical traditional Vietnamese summer or spring rolls I went for the Chinese side which they had shrimp shumai which is more dim sum I just ordered one it was okay. I ordered the pho with the beef tendon and it was a meh ok. I think it could have been a little more flavorful with their pho broth but it wasn't bland either. Needs more cinnamon. What's also unique was the fact that they kept their soup spoons and their regular spoons and chopsticks in this wooden box and then another peculiarity was you had to get the condiments of basil chili pepper bean sprouts and lime up in a tray versus for them to bring it to you. The line in the basil didn't seem that fresh which is why I was a little disappointed other than that it was okay. I don't know if I would come here more often but there are other places I tried that are Vietnamese in which the pho had more flavor and was better. I was ecstatic when this cute place opened back up after being closed during Covid as it's very close to where I live and I don't have to go far now for good pho. Good food, fair portions, ambiance is ok, this is a strip mall place that is like so many other strip mall dinning establishments. Service was good, prices were higher than expected, not a place I would rush to go back to. The Pho did not have any fresh basil, peppers, or cilantro as is customary with this dish, however the Pho was very delicious. read more

This place is just down the street from where we live. When we first walked in we were told to sit anywhere. We sat down and waited. It seemed to just a few tables and one server. But we weren't in a rush, so it was OK. This is the only reason why I didn't give 5 stars. We ordered an order of fried potstickers to start, which were very crunchy and tasty. I got the pho special which was beef meatballs and thinly sliced beef. My son got the chicken pho and my husband got the chicken banh mi. Absolutely the BEST pho I have ever had. I found out from the server the broth is made from scratch. My son and husband were very happy with their dishes as well. Definitely will come back. It was very good. read more

Just opened in Roselle train plaza! Friendly staff - one stand-out waitress who remembers names and faces when you walk through the door - she really makes it seem like a friendly neighborhood eatery. Food is authentic and well explained on the menu so we could understand what we were ordering! Very good boba tea flavors and varieties too. Favorites so far - crab Rangoon, egg rolls and pitstickers for appetizers - and I prefer the dry noodle dishes over Pho, but had them both and they both had good flavor! We walked in the restaurant to find a very friendly employee making the crab Rangoon by hand. She greeted us and took our order with a few recommendations. We ordered our to go order and had a couple of cold Sapporos while we waited. The interior is very clean and colorful. While we waited the employee gave us a couple of rangoons and egg rolls. Both were excellent and paired with the beer very well. After a short wait we went home and enjoyed our entrees. The spicy Pho with meatballs and steak hit the spot. The spice level was pretty solid so try the regular broth if want to test the waters and add your own spice w with Sriracha. My mom had the shrimp fried rice which had a ton of veggies in it and wasn't salty or oily. The kids enjoyed the pot stickers and overall was a solid meal. We will definitely be back and will dine in. Looks like they have a Sunday buffet which looks like a great way to try many options. read more

Yep. This is our new spot. My husband and I used to go to a place in fopo/op (iykyk). Sadly it closed during covid. Alas, we've moved to the burbs and noticed quite an uptick in the Vietnamese locations out here. We've tried them all- but, we ordered from pho xich lo this week and were immediately taken back to our first few dates, back when we were young novice pho eaters. And oh boy, what a delicious and happy find! The broth is delicious and flavorful. Everything else was as you would otherwise expect from a Vietnamese restaurant. The serving sizes are filling and there's more meat in a bowl than the usual 2-3 measly bits we've gotten from other restaurants. Menu is limited, but that's something we appreciate. This made it feel like the food we were getting was attended to better making it all the tastier. Looking forward to our next meal from this place read more

We came here on a Sunday and got the buffet. The street food they served was great. The restaurant was nice and clean. Just be patient because there was one lady who was at the counter and the kitchen. She was also putting out food, while taking orders, which she remembered despite the other customers also ordering. They would replenish the trays so the food would be warm and fresh. The Pho we ordered was really good. The broth was nice and hot, and one thing I loved was they weren't stingy with their meat. They gave a great amount of beef and noodles. Lastly we had the Thai Milk Tea with Boba and that was great beverage to end our experience. Thank you for your food and great work! read more

Like a previous reviewer, this is also our new top spot. We used to go to J. Pho in Elgin before they closed down. The broth is great -- not overwhelming, and flavorful enough to leave us satisfied -- definitely the best in the area for us. We also like the fact that we get the toppings ourselves (my wife always likes to get an extra lime, and the sprouts and basil are always really fresh). The service is very friendly (it can take time, since there is only one server for the whole place, and she is also taking phone calls and making the bubble tea). The atmosphere is cozy -- there are about 6 tables with a clean decor. We were happy to discover this place (I take the Roselle Metra and noticed this place as I was waiting for a train) as a place we can go to for a solid, satisfying, and pleasant meal. read more
