Saw on reddit that Pho Vinh and Pho Hoa are the two best pho places in Orlando and I've already been to Pho Hoa, and agree it's pretty great, have not been to Pho Vinh so obviously wanted to check it out. Interior was more modern than pho Hoa so things looked good. On google and yelp, the reviews are comparable, neck and neck so I was really excited to see if this place could beat Pho Hoa (which by my surprise was also right next door). Unfortunately, that's when the excitement stopped. The food here was just not good as I was hoping. I was satisfied with my char broil pork chop and steam rice. The pork chop was very well seasoned, near perfection. The portion size was just right. My party ordered banh hoi (similar to spring roll wraps). Mi hieu thieu (yellow and clear noodle) shrimp, roast pork and fried wonton. Every year I visit my daughter in Orlando, we make sure to drop by for a bowl of beef (w/everything beefy) Phó. Since our previous favorite closed down shop during COVID, we needed a new place to go. While shopping in the local Vietnamese/Asian markets this place was recommended to me multiple times. I've yet to go in and have anything but excellent food and service. First time here! Came and ordered pho, which tasted authentic! The pho soup was slightly warmer than I would personally prefer, but I bet they would change it if I had asked. It was certainly filling. The restaurant instantly smelled like pho as you walk in -- great first impression. The front of the restaurant looked more attractive than the back where the front door is, but don't let this mislead you! The restaurant was a pleasant surprise. We came in and was greeted right away. The staff seemed very friendly. In addition, I ordered some food for ToGo. We ordered Tom Rang Muoi? And it smelled & looked delicious! My favorite Pho restaurant in Orlando. My colleagues introduced me to this place a few years back and it has come to be a tradition to have "pho-Friday's" as we call it. Nothing like a fresh, hot bowl of soup made with lots of love (we call flavor "love"). I usually order the 103 with fried wonton and egg noodles. I can pronounce the real name and won't even try it on this post LOL. Sometimes I'll start off with the fresh spring rolls but most times my excitement is just for the Pho. They have extensive menu with traditional Vietnamese dishes, fried rice, seafood, and more. For me it's all about the Pho!! The husband and wife team are usually there overseeing the quality and making sure every guest is greeted. I have tried many Vietnamese restaurants, specifically, around the Mills 50 / ViMi area. At this point, I don't think I will ever be disappointed because Vietnamese cuisine is insanely flavorful. The menu is pretty extensive. I ordered a bowl of wonton and egg noodle soup. Geez! It was a monstrous bowl, filled with chunks of pork and plenty of wontons. Needless to say, I was quite content. I don't usually add the jalapeños, the cilantro, the lemons or whatever they bring out because I like to savor the broth. But, I got to say, they also make an amazing pork chop platter. 5 stars for the bun rieu..yes, I'm sure it's not as good as yo mamas so relax, but it's one of the few places I know that serves it in orlando and it satisfies my frequent cravings for it nicely. I been to pho Vinh a few times years ago and it's my first time back in a hot minute. They have their own parking lot in the back which is great but tends to be packed. We got seated right away. I ordered broken rice with grilled pork. The pork was smelled as good as it taste. The fish sauce wasn't spicy or overpowering. (12/17/2018) came by for lunch, had a pho jones for weeks. Trying to hit all the Vietnamese places on E. Colonial eventually. Note: be wary of the turn into the parking lot, it. Comes up quick, is tight, and partially hidden, death trap (or at least fender bender) for sure. We were seated immediately, plenty of four-tops. Looks like a brisk carry out business. At this weekday lunchtime, looked mostly like office workers from the immediate area, us included. Some slight language barriers, but got everything worked out OK. Started with Cha Gio (Fried Spring Rolls), plump with meat, less crisp than I would have imagined, almost chewy. Summer Rolls with Roast Pork had nice smokey, charred, sweet marinated pork pieces, tasty, but would've liked more pork in them. Also, the pork slices were cold, which is fine, but the fat on the edges of the pork were rather greasy and chewy. Had my go-to Special Pho (which usually means with rare beef and all the bits, tendons and tripe included). Got the large, #83. Was sufficiently large. Plenty of thin rice noodles and beef slices. Not quite piping hot. Broth was faintly seasoned, not sweet (like at some other places). All in all, everything was fine. Wouldn't really go out of my way for it, but also it's surrounded by many, many other places to try. Note: you take your check to the counter to pay when you're ready. We sat there like dumbasses for like 15 minutes waiting for the server to return after he abandoned us, before we asked. read more

I'm not really an expertise on pho, but from the several pho restaurants I've been to, this one is up on my list due to their savory broth. I came here late on a Sunday evening and ordered #85, the pho tai nam which includes medium rare steak and flank. Some pho restaurants tend to let their beef cook too long in the broth, but this restaurant makes it so the steak cooks medium to perfection by the time it comes out. I enjoyed how they give you equal proportions of beef to noodles. Everything was great, but I did however have to remove a star due to service. Most of the time I have had great service, except this occasion. Upon arrival, I was led to my table, but was not greeted by my server for what felt like 10-15 minutes. Not even a drink order was placed. Other than that, food was delicious. I do hope this is one occurrence of bad customer service. 4 Stars for a Coconut chicken curry soup with vermicelli that is a game-changer. I may never eat anything other than that dish again (only a slight exaggeration). We started with the Summer rolls (pork and shrimp). They were good, but not super memorable. Looking around we knew we were all in the mood for some amazing soup on a cold, grey afternoon. I ordered the number 88. Tai Pho- rice noodle with slices of medium rare steak. It came piping hot in a giant bowl with the typical plate of additives. But this soup was special. Just a quick squeeze of lime and some bean sprouts and it was fit for a king (a king who enjoys leftovers- typical giant portions!). But while I scarfed down my soup I couldn't help but notice that my compadre was very quiet and not making eye contact. Naturally, I deduced that he'd come upon a dish so epic that the thought of having to share left him acting suspiciously like Gollum protecting his precious ring. The dish? The aforementioned Coconut chicken curry soup with vermicelli. We're talking heaps of vermicelli noodles with chunks of dark chicken meat and sweet potatoes swimming in the most drool-worthy yellow curry you've ever had. As a note- I'm not one for spice but this dish had just the slightest bite, so it was actually perfect. The best part? We had plenty of food to feed us off those two (under $10) soups for another full meal. And the soup somehow just got better after a stint in my fridge! The bounce is pleasant and clean. Nothing flashy or overly fancy, but everything is nice. Though the service is friendly, be aware that they're largely absent after you get your dishes. Don't be shy when you're out of water or ready for the check. We were. And we waiting a heck of a long time until someone acknowledged us again. Otherwise, this place is an instant favorite! Mmm... The broth was very thick and had a good amount of fat in it! (The way it's supposed to be) because the broth is used for dipping your French bread into! Heard that this was a good spot to get pho, so we decided to try instead of our usual, Pho Hoa--right next door. Needless to say I think we'll stay next door. This is slowly becoming my favorite Pho place in Viet-town. They've been here for years and it's only most recently that I've been going more often. I typically don't sway from my go-to's when it comes to Vietnamese food. I go to a certain place for Banh Mi. I go to a certain place for lemongrass tofu or fish. I go to a certain place for pan fried noodles.... Several places offer pho and I like them good enough... but this place is my favorite. Their broth to me is the most clean tasting, medium bodied, well balanced of them all, along with noodles, meat, and toppings. Other places seem inconsistent in the taste of their broth or is just plain salty. I also like their Pho Ga chicken pho and you can substitute with egg noodle if you wish. My absolute favorite here is the Curry soup with egg noodle. It's a hearty, full bodied coconut yellow curry that soothes my soul. It is perfect on the rare nights Orlando gets cool. My roommate suggested this place for lunch a few days ago. Being the Pho lover I am, how could I say no. Plus, I can rarely find any good ones. Once we found it, as it was a little complicated, the restaurant seemed somewhat authentic in appearance. We had a fairly large menu filled of things not just Pho. This kind of surprised me. I tried one of the shrimp rolls to start. Perhaps the flavors were lost on me, but I thought it was bland in some pieces and overly minted and others. However what brings the four star review, the service was incredibly good. We had a very attentive server who is also accommodate you when it came to making changes to food. For instance instead of getting chicken broth as a base for my Pho, they were able to make a veggie one for me. I had one with shrimp. I had a chicken pho which I was advise isn't as good as the beef one, but I personally I let go of beef from my diet. Anyway, the bowl of pho is HUGE and I got the small size.
