I stopped in here for a quick lunch and I'm so happy I did. I was warmly greeted and told to have any table by the window. These are all set for 2 or maybe 3 so I happily picked out a table with a view. I settled on the beef for my 1st time here, ordered medium rare. It was pink on arrival and quickly cooked the rest of the way. I was served a lovely platter of bean sprouts, peppers, etc to add right into the hot soup. In a flash, the soup appeared emitting an aromatic fragrance to be enhanced with the fresh vegetables and herbs. Truly tasty, full of flavor ready to customize to your tastes. Hot sauce and soy sauce are on the table. I like a fairly low salt content in my food and this was just about right. Chris Tam was the friendly and energetic owner on duty, and he and his staff took good care of our party. Their space is airy and comfortable and on a warm evening, it was comfortable dining - not too warm and not too cold as some places can be. We ordered an appetizer plate as well as a variety of pho bowls and rice dishes. They have a kid's pho bowl but it's still sizeable at $14.95 versus a regular pho bowl with 1 meat at $16.45. I personally very much enjoyed my BBQ short rib with rice plate and the grilled flavor was rich and tasty. You can peruse the photos and itemized bill for what we had, but the total bill for our party of 10 was a very reasonable $247.38 and which included the mandatory and well deserved 18% gratuity. It also had A VERY pungent fish sauce smell, which was not a pleasant aroma when served. Amazing broth with generous portions. I've only tried one menu item so far, but this was the bun bo hue flavour I've been looking for. Cafe Hoang has good bun bo hue, but it's a little too sweet for my preference. The one here doesn't come with pig's feet or pig's blood, but there's plenty of beef and pork roll. I guess these cuts of meat make the dish more approachable. I almost felt like there was more meat than noodle. I kept eating the beef, but I kept finding more at the bottom. Also, not sure what it is, but I loved the pork roll they used. There's a noticeable depth and complexity to the broth here that's missing from a lot of the pho restaurants in the area. Good balance of spices too. Since I ate here before the dinner rush, I don't know how busy it normally gets. My food came quickly and I was out the door soon after finishing my food. Prices are a little higher than usual, but it all makes sense when you consider the portion size and labor to make a broth with that flavour. I'm not super cultured about these things, but I think Pho Tam is pretty good. It used to be an old Pizza Hut and they turned it into a sort of open layout restaurant that's very square in design. Enough about the look though. The pho portions are good and the broth is tasty and served piping hot. The cost is based on the number of meats you add, so you can go small or go big. There's basil and bean sprouts that cook up in that hot soup. We also got the prawn rolls (I think) and surprised to see some sort of root veg in there. Delightfully surprised. I think it was taro? I admit I've often gotten the pho there so I haven't branched out to the other dishes. The service is tiny inconsistent. I still can't believe that I waited this long to try Pho Tam. I've been driving past this place for years every time I worked out. I finally decided to take my kids for a Tuesday dinner and try Vietnamese food. Once we got inside, we were greeted and seated right away. There were several tables occupied already and we saw how big the Pho bowls were. Our server took our orders once we've decided on what we wanted. Our food did not take long to be served. My kids and I tried 2 Pho bowls, one with 3 kinds of meat and the other with 2 kinds of meat. We also tried the GRILLED PORK BANH MI. Besides his huge bowl of pho with 3 meats, my son also ordered an extra bowl of noodles. We tried the STEAK, FLANK, BRISKET, and MEATBALLS. All the meats were good and there were quite enough pieces in each pho bowl. The broth was flavorful and delicious. My kids added the bean sprouts, jalapeno peppers, cilantro, and the hot sauce. I added all the fixings for the banh mi as well. Everything was delicious and very satisfying. I liked their ICED COFFEE too. The dining area was neat, the bathroom was clean, parking spots were enough, and the service was friendly and efficient. The place was packed and busy by the time we were leaving. I have been a long time customer of this restaurant and I always order my usual Pho with round steak. In the 4 years I have been coming I have always left generous tips, never complained, always cheerful but today they served me my Pho and at first I thought I saw red lollipops in my soup but upon closer inspection the meat was completely raw! I don't mind medium rare but this was rediculous. I had politely asked the owner if he could remake the soup for obvious reasons but he explained I should have asked for well done if I didn't want undercooked meat. Long story short, they were quick to remake the soup, but this time instead of the generous portion of steak i am accustomed to, I got a 1/3 less and no vegetables. After politely asking the owner wife and husband if they could please add a little more meat, they were firm and said no way would they do that or comp me the meal. I was utterly shocked at their arrogant attittude, again I have always been a great customer never complained once, and on a $17 bill I always tipped $10 dollars and for both of them to offer excuses and finally being unprofessional to the point I felt very uncomfortable, I will never return or spend another dime here again- especially the prices here are not cheap. Been here a few times since my first visit here. I must say that the food has been consistently delicious and the service has been great each time! Things have definitely got much better since they first opened. This has now become our go to pho restaurant for our family! The soup is always flavorful but not too oily or greasy. It is one of the best pho places in the area. I highly recommend eating pho at the restaurant. We tried delivery and pho just taste much better when freshly served (at no fault of the restaurant). Upon seated she approached us and said we cannot sit there because it is meant for 4 people.( there were only 2 of us) I told her that was not what she said. I came here with a friend and we ordered pho and the bbq short ribs. I thought both dishes were pretty good and portion size was good for the price. I don't mind if prices are a little high if portion size is big. Short ribs fish was around $24 before tax and tip and pho was about $18 pre tax and tip, which is fine because portions were really good. The reason I don't give it a 5 star was interaction with one of the owners there. When I had come in I had asked one of the owner if it was byob and he said yes. So I went out of my car and brought one small drink to share with my friend. He was perfectly fine with it. Towards the end a different person asked if my drink was alcoholic when cleaning our table and I said I didn't notify her I was bringing in alcohol in an almost accusatory way and then charged me a byob fee. I had no idea that was a thing and why the original guy didn't mention it. It was so very minor but left a really bad taste in my mouth. If they had told me initially when I asked about byob then it would've been fine but don't be accusing me of sneaking in alcohol. Good food though. read more

Their pho broth is okay and they were generous with their noodle. Our pork rice dish were okay. The best part of the dish was the dish sauce not the pork. While they seems nice, we had to asked for our pho veggies twice. By the time they brought out the veggies our broth was no longer hot enough to gently cook the veggies.
