Best pho I had in Europe so far. Their pho is diff from US pho, noodles are thicker. But would totally recommend if you're looking for Asian food, i would come back! Also don't forget to ask for satay sauce, it's a spicy lemon grass sauce which is *chef kiss* it was kinda busy when we came which was around 2pm? As we left it was less crowded. I got the pho bo tai, rare steak pho. I finished everything and drank all the soup.

Great food, cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. Recommended as healthy and tasty option in Temple Bar Dublin.

It is impressive that i found a pho spot here in Ireland. It's like i knew i could but i wasn't sure. Pho Ta is located in a bit of a hidden spot, a small , nice , clean shop. My toddler is obsessed with pho so we must get our pho fixed. My husand and toddler seem to like the food. My personal opinion is a bit different, i found the soup is more toward the bland side, like it's missing some flavor or didn't cook long enough. My mom said it must be because it's Northern Vietnamese pho style. I'm organically from the south, our pho is really rich in flavor. Also, no hoisin sauce or Thai basil, though i know Thai basil is difficult to grow, so i get it. Overall, since my toddler loved it, we'll be back

Ambience. A Service. A Food. A Price. A Found near Temple street in middle of city centre couple blocks from Liffey. Modern , nice lighting and clean. Small space seating down stairs and also seating upstairs when more crowds. Service friendly in greeting and seating quickly. Noticed the Pho meats were basic chicken, pork, beef and shrimp. NO cartílage or tripe at this shop. But it smells good in here. I can smell the aromatics in the air. Had the Deconstructed BUN with crispy thin sliced pork belly soaking in the fish sauce , lettuce , basil , cilantro on side, rice noodles on side and fried rice paper spring rolls. All was perfectly gentle flavored with hints of the fish sauce. Nice. My friends had the vegetarian stirfry noodle dish. She liked. And I've never seen crispy fried Noodle cakes before. This was like puffy crispy rice cakes on the edges with whatever stirfry in sauce. I thought this was unique dish. And delicious. The black tea was served with milk and sugars...how Irish! Heh Overall, good experience and delicious food. Im a Fan tonight!!!

While it's no French Vietnamese food, I was pretty impressed with this little Viet restaurant located in Temple Bar area. My friend and I were craving something Asian for dinner and Pho Ta looked to be an affordable option for the both of us after we had dropped tons of money on Guinness. Priorities you know! The interior was very quaint. Small tables seating 4pp max line the area, and during the evening it seems like it would make a good date spot. At the time, I wasn't craving pho in particular, so I decided to try their Pho Phong Bo instead (€10), which contained large pieces of fried rice noodles overlaying some beef stir fry. The presentation was lovely and it tasted like the Viet food I'd get back home in the States. It was definitely one of the heartier dishes that any meat lover would enjoy. My friend went straight for her meatball Banh Mi (€6). Compared to back home, it was fairly small and didn't necessarily incorporate a lot of the ingredients you'd find in Viet sandwiches such as pate. However, it was tasty enough for my friend to say "yes!" to coming back if she ever needed a banh mi fix. Can't argue with the price, atmosphere, and good Vietnamese food here in Dublin. Definitely come try this spot out if you're craving something other than Irish food around town.

Craving Asian food at the mid point of my trip to Ireland from the states and stumbled upon Pho Ta. Family owned business and the service was great. I love trying Pho anywhere I go and this was pretty great for having Pho in Ireland! Must try!

Stewed beef in wine Pho, it was a surprisingly tasty dish! The tastier ever tried here in Dublin, above Aobaba and Pho Viet ones.

This cold and cloudy weather in Dublin, man oh man did it make me crave pho. Place has pretty good reviews so i came in with an open mind. There was only 1 other party in the restaurant at 4pm. It's located right in the temple bar area. First off, the bowl is pretty small for my standards, especially for the price at €11. There was no hoison sauce available, but the broth was actually pretty flavorful so there was no need. I really enjoyed the flat pho noodles, which are labeled as homemade. Had the perfect bite and did taste better than typical dried rice noodles. The dac biet comes with slices of beef, chicken, and shrimp. Shrimp is definitely not traditional unless you order a seafood pho, but they were fresh and plump so I enjoyed them. The herbs came with lime, chili peppers, bean sprouts, cilantro, and spearmint. The latter is really weird to have with pho, typically reserved for other noodle soup dishes. I also was kinda not feeling the Chinese soundtracks playing over the speakers. Maybe they're half Chinese? Still, it's a Vietnamese restaurant. Servers were very friendly and attentive, as my water was consistently filled. Overall it served my need for a pho fix aside from the non-traditional ingredients and cost.

    Pho with rare beef.

My family and I stopped in for dinner after a long day of tourism, and I was blown away. Our starters were great and very clearly made fresh, with great sauces, my Pho broth was fantastic and I got Vietnamese coffee with sweetened condensed milk to try a new coffee beverage, and was very pleasantly surprised as well. The building is super clean and well put together. The woman I can fairly assume was the owner was extremely nice, and could nearly predict what we wanted before we ordered. 10/10 no complaints whatsoever.

Summer rolls which are spring rolls in US fresh and delicious

Great for pho fix, friendly staff, food is fresh and delicious. If you travel as much as I do you and crave certain things you need to eat that. Pho is one of those foods for me, comfort and taste. It is in the Temple bar area and probably great if you had too many pints or drinks. This will fix your headaches and hangovers.

Rare beef pho. Fucking yum. Sloppy, but yum!

A somewhat hidden little gem in the mankfest that is Temple Bar. Only recently opened my friends told me about this place and we went for some food before a party we were attending. The staff are amazing. Like just great. Super friendly and accomodating. We need more staff like this in Dublin. Dublin waiting staff really suck balls sometimes. It's great when you get genuine friendliness like this. Vietnamese food can be bland when it's catering for a western pallet. So when I ordered my food I asked for it extra spicy. They offered to bring me some homemade chili paste so I could add the heat myself which was great. I got a mixed meat and fish noodle dish which was was offered dry or with sauce. The sauce I was told was a homemade stock they made that day. So I went with this. It was yummy. The chili paste was also yummy. So much so I ordered another portion of it. It was not too crazy hot and as a chili freak I devoured it no bother. For a Friday evening meal in Temple Bar in really lovely cosy settings for €12 this was a steal. The beers were 4 euro I think a bottle which is also great for Temple Bar. Mostly Asian beers which I do love. Can't wait to go back. My only concern is word will spread too much and I wont get in next time. But for the staffs sake I do hope this happens. Well deserved. These guys are great and a refreshing addition to the Temple Bar area.

My 'best dream' for food in Dublin continues to grow! I LOVE FOOD. But not just any food- GOOD FOOD. Dublin has a lot to offer for all types of meals, and when in The City Centre you are even more spoiled for choice! Pho is not so easy to find, but the popularity is growing and the competition for who serves it up the best is rising. Pho Ta, I do believe you're serving the best and I will be back. I think anyone reading this should pay them a visit, too. STAR 1 FOR ACCESSIBILITY: This gem is located in Temple Bar and has been open a short 7 weeks. The location is accessible from several bus routes, luas stops, or a nice walk through town. There is not an area for parking, so if you are driving I'd suggest using a car park. STAR 2 FOR PRESENTATION: The restaurant is beautiful inside and out. The space is subtle but eye catching from the outside with large glass windows and blue lighting. From the inside, the space is clean and well looked after; open and inviting- not cluttered yet well decorated- and cozy. The space works well for groups, families, dates, or solo lunches and dinners. STAR 3 FOR EMPLOYEE EXCELLENCE: From the moment you enter, and throughout your visit the employees at Pho Ta will make sure your experience at their restaurant is just what you like. They are friendly, helpful and accommodating. If you want to chat about the different types of food and ingredients used for the food here, then you can talk away. If you prefer a more intimate time with your group or date, but need your drinks looked after and questions answered quickly- that's not a problem. I was more than impressed with the efficiency and courtesy of everyone at Pho Ta. STAR 4 FOR QUALITY: The freshness of food and care for making each meal to order is key for Vietnamese food. The menu has photos and descriptions of all the food in English (this helps as the menu could be confusing otherwise).I was impressed by many of the dishes, but could not resist ordering the summer rolls (starter) and pho tom main dish) as part of the dinner special for 14.95. The prices are fair for the types of food I ordered and consistent with other prices I've paid in other places. I'd also like to add that the prices are better than some other places I've been to as well. ;) The rice noodles are made fresh daily and I could tell! Each bite was delicious! The king prawns in both the summer rolls and Pho Tom were gorgeous and all the flavours complimented one another. STAR 5 FOR OVERALL EXPERIENCE: When you leave a restaurant satisfied from every possible angle and already planning your next trip back, then I'd say they've done their job well. Thank you, Pho Ta!

Had a large beef vermicelli. Vermielli was a bit on the thicker side, tasted alright. Beef portion was quite generous and the beef tasted like a good quality product with fine lean texture. Had the spicy broth option and gotta say the broth was too spicy, not on the pleasant side, pretty much like it was drowned in sriracha. Overall an OK place for a quick meal.

This place came up on Yelp and on Google as highly rated. I am sad to say that I am thoroughly disappointed. The service is the typical fast joint quick service type of environment but with friendly people. The disappointing factor was on the food itself. The flavors were completely off. The bun bo hue tasted like a basic bland bone broth that they universally used and added maybe a small dollop of what is supposed to be bun bo hue flavoring/essence. It tasted nothing like bun bo hue or smelled like it. If they offered shrimp paste, it wouldn't even have made a difference. The satay on the table didn't even save the dish. The hu tieu reminded me of a broke college student living off of instant noodles but making 1 packet stretch to 2 bowls. It lacks so much flavor and all of the table condiments made no difference. I will say I liked the noodles but everything else was just a bowl of sadness. Now the banh mi... The bread was super stale and my mouth was extremely tired from just eating half. I could not get past the staleness to even enjoy what was inside. Overall this was edible. My friend ordered the grilled pork rice plate. Side note they don't and can't do an egg with it. The meal itself looked really sad and not appetizing. I can't even compare this place to a cafeteria quality type of meal because this was probably one of the worst meals I've had in a very long time. Granted the items were edible, but if I had a choice I would've not eaten it.. but I did pay for it and I don't like wasting food. At least the noodles were cooked correctly and I wasn't eating a bowl of mush. Overall this place is very disappointing for the food, skip it. The people here are friendly-ish and accommodating (they let my friend practice and work on her Vietnamese when ordering the food).

The Chicken Wing appetizer was excellent! The chicken was crispy and seasoned well. Juicy on the inside and stir fried with chilies and onions that gave it a kick. A must order. The pho is alright - I understand that this is Ireland and they don't have enough customers ordering it to warrant huge pots of broth cooking on the stove top. I got the Pho Ga (Chicken Pho) and the broth was a strange murky brown - that's when I realized they probably use the same beef broth for Pho Bo (Beef Pho) and just reheated it. The taste of everything is alright, but I have a high standard for pho so I wouldn't order this again. Chicken pho should be served with pure chicken soup. We also ordered a slice of chocolate cake for kicks. This was excellent. There was a warm sauce that oozed out in the middle and it tasted very rich. I only wish that I had a glass of milk! There was only one woman working the counter, who I assume is the owner. She was very sweet. We tried coming back Saturday morning but it was closed - despite their hours on the store.

The menu is simple and offers only a few options, my favourite kind of menu as I'm the sort who easily becomes overburdened with choice (first world problems). The interior has a lovely wooden finish to it that makes it feel like it's still a work-in-progress but, that's like, totally cool man. There's a long wooden bench on one side of the room & a few chairs & tables outside, perfect for summer vibes (if it happens to be sunny in Ireland) I went for the *organic* eggs & homemade beans and also a matcha green tea latte. Well the matcha tasted great, but the eggs & beans were really scrumptious. They came out in a cardboard box which actually just worked given the style of the place. It's a good sign when you're eating the food of a place that all you can think about is what everything else on the menu tastes like. I'll update with pics when I inevitably return. In short: A cool place to start your day & my new favourite place for weekend breakfasting. Those eggs though.

The tills broke as soon as they opened the doors, and we did have to wait a little past when they said they were opening because the staff weren't ready yet. Service was slow, but in fairness, there was a long line of people out the door. When you order, you select a main (the meat or main veggie part of your meal), your base (rice, greens, etc), and a sprinkle topping. I went for the Vietnamese chicken, on brown rice with spinach and crushed almonds. It came with a peanut butter vinaigrette, which was light enough to flavour the dish, but not too oily or overpowering. As someone else posted, the servings do look small. But, that being said, I was fairly full after eating mine, so I think it may just look a bit small because of the container it was in. I do, however, wish there had been more meat on my dish. My serving was definitely less than one full chicken fillet. BUT, the chicken that was on there was SO tender and juicy. Their breakfast menu looks like quite good, and I look forward to going back and checking out the breakfast menu. It's nice having more healthy options available for lunch in this area, and it's a fairly good price for lunch (7.50 for the box of food unless you get extras). The juices and other drinks there are more than I would pay, but price wise their food is pretty much the same as a burrito/bowl at tolteca across the street. This place is good, and has promise. It just needs to work out a few kinks before I can give it more stars. If their meat portions were just a bit larger, and they can get into a groove where they speed their service up, I'd say this place will do great.
