Delicious. Many options available. All the garnishments fresh. A fantastic spot for some Vietnamese food.

Solid Vietnamese spot for comfort food in AC, walkable from the boardwalk and Boardwalk Hall. Service is fast and friendly. Old school vibes with a TV at the bar and booth seating and well as free tables and chairs. It seems like a safe space where everyone seems to diverge in- cops, casino workers, visitors and locals alike. Food is hearty and comforting, nothing fancy and straight to the point Vietnamese food. Still one of the few establishments that serves up Pho and rice plates without the crazy prices. We like their shaken beef, pork chop plates, chicken with lemongrass and pho. Their helpings are big and not skimpy. Street/garage parking. Restroom is clean and decent. Would come back here!

Food was delicious but hospitality def not the nicest. Waited for about 20 minutes without being told hi or anything else. Once we got seated even though we were the first in line waited until after everyone behind us had ordered til we were able to. I guess that's Vietnamese hospitality. Food was delicious though would def come back for more food.

    Grilled pork Bahn Mi

Ordered Bahn Mi here for the first time since AC Sandwiches is currently closed for renovation. The sandwich is cheaper than other places but it's noticeably smaller with less meat however the quality is very high and more flavorful by far. Its almost too flavorful; sweet, salty, and smoky. Its definitely a top contender for the best Bahn Mi in Jersey. 9.6 on the Portnoy scale

This place is not a dine-in restaurant, no service or saying hi from a server. When you come here you will expect what you want and he will give you cold water and ask to order ASAP. If you want to be treated rudely by a server and expect like take out a restaurant then this is the restaurant for you. Oh, and the server will be expecting tips. Fyi the server put his water glass on my table without asking if its ok

I was so happy to find this place. I've been back and forth to AC for basketball tournaments and I was so sick of the casino restaurants and chains. Pho Sydney is authentic and old school. I knew when I walked in and was the only non Asian person, that I had found something good. I started with fresh shrimp spring rolls and then had the lemon grass beef vermicelli. It was fresh and fast. I can't wait to go back!

Pho is amazing!! Service was great. Great for a cold day in Atlantic City. I got the small beef pho and I could have shared it.

Came here on a weekend & I have completely underestimated the popularity of this restaurant. The line was so long and we waited close to an hour and half just to get a table to sit down. You know this place is authentic when you see a whole bunch of Vietnamese lining up waiting to be seated. The vibe of the restaurant is like an open space cafeteria with some large tables & cheap chairs . BUT ... the flavor of the food was so good and authentic. And price is RIGHT Street parking only. Highly recommend to check out this place if you like Vietnamese cuisine and happen to visit Atlantic City. ©WineDinenVacay

Great tasting pho and appetizers at Pho Sydney. I like the name of the restaurant as I'm usually use to seeing Vietnamese restaurants aptly named "Pho Saigon or hut" What's in a name anyways? You either deliver the goods or not and they deliver all the time I come here with hot piping delicious pho and appetizers. The pho broth looks murky which is always a good sign that it's been steeped and seasoned well. The sliced cuts of beef and tendon are soft and tender. The grilled pork chops, chicken and cubed beef are lightly sweet, savory and has a decadent smokey infused flavor that multiplied the yummy factor from good to OMG good! PRO TIP - You can ask them to blanch the bean sprouts. They will already have been cooked when you place them in the broth and won't rob the heat of the broth. My brother in law had the banh mi sandwich which he really enjoyed, he did complain that there were heavy handed on the use of cilantro. Great service and having a parking lot is a big plus. It's definitely one of the better pho restaurants in the Atlantic city area.

    Bun rieu

Pho Sydney is a family favorite pit stop during any visit to Atlantic City. Recs: +++Bun rieu- they have the best crab/pork meatballs and are one of the rare places that serve this dish with pork blood cubes. +++Cha Gio (pork and shrimp fried spring roll)- their rolls are delightfully crispy and flavorful. It's hard to put into words what makes their spring rolls unique but it's one of the best I've had in a Vietnamese restaurant. They have very limited parking at the side of the restaurant and easily fills up during peak hours. Overall a crowd favorite among the Asians in AC and family friendly.

A diamond in the rough! Great Vietnamese restaurant in AC. They have free parking on the side, but it is tight. Now to the food-- it was great! Everything you would want in a pho shop, they have. The waiters were also friendly. We went during the sriracha shortage. I'm not sure if they have any now? lol

This restaurant is just outside the outlet shopping mall area, have their own parking lot, gets super busy during peak hours. As you get close to the entrance door, you get the blast of aroma of Vietnamese cuisine. Inside of tue restaurant is average, under maintained. Just enough stuff to keep things going. The menu has most of the well know dishes, soup, noddles, rice dishes, and appetizers. The sautéed chicken was average, the dry chicken didn't help either. The rice was also not the best quality. The fish sauce sorted helped me to finish the whole plate. The Thai iced tea is also pre made and kept in refrigerator. It tasted bland to us. If you are looking for some cheap dining option within a short walk, this is a good place to go and fill your tummy without thinking too much about the quality or service.

5 mins walk from the AC shopping outlet. convenient location. Gets really crowded after 12pm. Food is basic. Chicken is dry. Grilled sliced pork flavor is there. Spring roll is ok. No salad. Thai ice tea is ok. Coffee is not bad as per my parents. Service is minimal. You eat then you get out kindda thing. Lots ppl are waiting.

You have to try their tuna crispy rice and shishito pepper appetizers! We get them every time and they are delicious! The wagyu tacos and lobster dumplings are delicious but not as filling. They run out of their uni often, so if they have any left for the night you definitely need to order some. They are pricy but are delivered fresh. They're always sweet and creamy every time. I love their toro hand roll and scallop hand roll. They have A5 Wagyu beef cooked at the table with a hot stone. It's priced per ounce and the cost can add up quickly, but it's a nice treat to try and share with others. The Chilean sea bass miso was rich and well seasoned. This is the best sushi place I've tried in AC so far!

Management was nice enough to identify what she could have on our recent visit. The manager also said that the low sodium soy sauce they use doesn't have cornstarch in it. However, my question is; why can't the Chef or one of the cooks make, for example, fried rice using the low sodium soy sauce? Are they that bad that they don't know how to modify a recipe? I've been to many places that modify their menu to accommodate an allergy. I got the firecracker shrimp with brown rice. The shrimp was tasty but not as hot as i'd like it and a little on the sweet side. My wife did get a nice salmon dish which was fine for her allergy and she did enjoy it. Unfortunately we just had salmon the night before so she was looking for a change. The place itself looks great and the service was good for our large table.

The moment we walked into the restaurant, the host asked us if we had ever been there, and had us look over the menu before being seated. A little weird, but after seeing the menu cost, I get it a little bit. The waitress we had did a great job at explaining how they usually have people follow the 3 course plan and that the dishes are all family style, and what order dishes would come out and even recommended some dishes when we were stuck on a choice. The waitress was so sweet and attentive, without being overbearing, which I really appreciated. The people bussing the food made me laugh though, as they would drop the food, tell you quickly was it was, tell you "Enjoy!" then basically sprint off. The restaurant was pretty full, and we got seated in the back near to the windowed area, which was nice. I assume in the daytime there's a lovely view of the beach, but at night all you can see is the Rainforest Cafe sign next door. It We got the avocado tartare to start. It was certainly unique and I really enjoyed the flavor profile! It was zesty but with spice to it, and blended well with the smoothness of the avocado. The spice was wasabi, it cooled off quickly after a few sips of my drink. The tempura we had was an interesting blend of vegetables, but it really wasn't anything to write home about. It tastes like pretty much any other tempura you can get at a nice Japanese restaurant. The teriyaki chicken was the star of the meal. Perfectly cooked, with wonderful moist meat but perfectly crisped skin, it was well worth the high price we paid. The Chestnut Cheesecake was insanely good as well. The cheesecake was absolutely tiny, but it was so well made that the high price was worth it. We ate it so slowly just savoring every bite because it was that good. The prices were very high, but as this is Atlantic City, we fully expected it. All in all, a very nice dinner!

By the time we sat down, we were tired enough to believe in luxury again. All three of us ordered the $150 Omakase, because sometimes you need to let someone else make the decisions. We also each ordered a Lychee Elderflower Martini, and that drink was a revelation. Sweet but not syrupy, smooth as silk, and served with quiet confidence. It was, without question, the highlight of the night. That is not to say the food disappointed. The fish was fresh and handled with skill. Every plate was a small work of art. But I've eaten many Omakase meals before, and this one didn't quite live up to its reputation or its price. Each course was good, even very good, but never transcendent. It felt like a performance slightly off its rhythm. Service was attentive and professional, almost to a fault. Our server explained each dish in the kind of detail that makes you wish you'd taken notes, yet when we asked follow-up questions, the answers grew vague, like the end of a story that someone forgot to finish. The dining room itself was clean and modern, full of light and shadow, a careful blend of minimalism and excess. Still, it was oddly loud, even though the place was mostly empty. The windows looked out toward the boardwalk and the Atlantic Ocean, but the glass was streaked and dirty, muting the view into something almost symbolic. Beauty, slightly obscured. Here's the truth. In Atlantic City, this is probably as good as sushi gets. The meal was enjoyable, even memorable in moments. But there are sushi locations in the Tri-state area that perform the same act with greater precision and heart. If you are here already, go. You will eat well. But if you have the choice, there are better temples to fish elsewhere. I give it four stars out of respect, and maybe habit. Three and a half would be closer to the truth.
