Chín Pho
Michelle B.

This was my first time to this location of Pho So 1 but I remain a fan of their cuisines sm so that I voted to come here based on my experience at another location. Pho So 1 is located in a plaza by the 99 Ranch with lots of parking space. There is plenty of indoor seating and though it was a weekday at dinner, this place still had a half dozen or so tables filled. Only indoor seating is available and the food came SUPER quick after ordering. For the pricing related to the portions of pho offered, I think this place is definitely competitive. Chín Pho 5/5, I had this and it was HUGE. It came delightfully hot and steamy, the noodles were soft and most importantly the pho broth was delicious!! Everything was fresh and tasty

Delicious Vietnamese pho with a flavorful yet light and non-greasy broth. The noodles were cooked just right, and the slices of meat were incredibly tender. The restaurant is very clean, including the seating area and tableware. The prices are also very affordable. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves Vietnamese pho! 好吃的越南河粉,湯頭不油膩但是很香,粉條煮的恰到好處,加上肉片也非常的柔嫩。店面乾淨,位子和餐具都非常的乾淨,價格也很便宜,非常推薦給喜歡吃越南粉的人。

I haven't been here for a long time and I m glad I gave them another chance. During this visit I was very satisfied with the amount of meat they put in my combination pho. Service was ok. Inside was clean. I will repeat.

Pho So 1 has the best soup in the area! The pho is always delicious, rich, and full of flavor. Everything tastes fresh, the portions are great, and the service is always good. Definitely one of my favorite spots for Vietnamese soup.

Called in a Friday afternoon pickup...plenty of parking and no hassle. Got the pho combination and fresh spring rolls. Took it home, poured the pho into a bowl, and the broth was STILL hot... Loaded with herbs, veggies, and that good stuff. One slurp and boom...hit the spot! Then I dipped that spring roll straight into the peanut sauce... GAME OVER.. Add some hoisin and Sriracha to the pho. Definitely one of the better-known spots for a reason. Gets packed when the weather turns cold, and I totally get why. Solid, satisfying pho!

So glad my husband found this place! We were greeted once we walked in. We waited maybe 5 minutes until a table was free. Very comfy and homey restaurant. Kind of felt like a family just eating all together. I ordered the brisket, steak and tendon Phô and an order of shrimp spring rolls. Wow!! The broth was so delicious and flavorful. Spring rolls were delicious! We will be back for sure.

My favorite pho spot in the valley. I get the #12. It's always busy and for good reason! The 99 ranch being next door makes it a perfect after groceries treat.

This place is so yummy. They open up at 10:00am. The servers are very prompt and food was absolutely delicious. Cashier was very kind as well. If it wasn't 101° this week, I may have gone back today.

I come here often and forget to update my review. When I walk in, I know what number and how to order. The numbers haven't changed. The staff has but they are all professional. Food is always consistent and although a day had passed I cannot say that my mouth doesn't water thinking about it. The #51 bowl with beef hits the spot. The Phö with tendon is phÖnamenal. The best is the pork eggrolls and although I'm not a huge fan of pork, you have to get these. It's always clean. Always fun and well worth the drive to come sit here for a satisfying meal. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Best egg rolls in the area. Super crispy in all the right ways, light, airy, and comes with the correct veggies to wrap them in. I highly recommend getting this for the table as it comes with 6 rolls. The pickled carrots/radishes, cucumbers, mints, lettuce and the sweet fish sauce. I'd come back just for that. Service is ridiculously quick. My appetizer came before I even ordered my main course and I love it! The pho was nicely portioned and they were generous with meat. Can't go wrong with any of rice and meat dishes--I got grilled pork which had all the veggies included on the side. Menu has a picture of few of the dishes including this one. The restaurant itself was clean and you could tell from the tables and sauces on each table. They have tv playing in the background and it's a relaxed environment. Service was attentive. This place can get pretty packed during lunch/dinner rush. But it's right next to ding tea and 99 ranch market which is convenient. Lots of parking in the huge plaza. Highly recommend!

It was a super hot day out but we went inside and the AC was blasting which was great. They sat us down pretty immediately. We ordered the iced tea which was yummy and unsweetened. We got the rare steak Pho (#19) and damian loved it. The portion was great and he could not even finish all of it.

Spring rolls with shrimp and pork

Great food and very kid-friendly! This was our first time here and we mostly chose it for convenience after shopping at 99 Ranch next door. It ended up being a really pleasant surprise. They were incredibly considerate toward our son - wiping down the high chair before bringing it over and setting him up with his own bowl, utensils, and water cup. Those small details really stood out. It was busy, but our server Phu was attentive and thoughtful throughout. We ordered the spring rolls, a bowl of pho, and a bun bowl with egg rolls and marinated pork. Portions were huge and the food was good. The marinated pork was slightly dry, but everything else was solid. Easy payment at the register when you're ready. Very pleased with both the food and the service - we'll be back!

3 Color Dessert here is terrible. Barely any coconut cream and the ice is just regular soda fountain ice. It isn't crushed/shaved ice.

Are there Vegan options?

Sorry, no

Does the bun Bo hue have pork in the broth?

It's made with pork and beef bones , & it has pork meat in the soup

Can we place an online order for takeout?

I don't believe they have an online ordering system. It's best to call your order in if you don't want to wait

Are they now allowing indoor dinning?

Yes, open for dine in.

Are they open for dine in?

Yes, we dined in on Saturday. It is with limited seating though.

Are they open during "safer at home"? I tried calling them but no answer so I'm guessing no?

Hi Catherine, We're currently closed for the time being but we'll most likely be open soon.. maybe early or mid April.…

Do they make Subs?

I believe they do make Vietnamese sandwiches. I don't go to Pho restaurants to eat sandwiches though. I would go to a Sandwich place for that

Do they sell only the bone broth?

Yes, I'm keto and I order the brith only alot

Are there any noodle substitutes? Like veggies or konjac shirataki noodles?

Not that I know of. But you can definitely get some blanched veggie.

Is there a vegetarian based pho?

Yes! Ask for veggie broth!

Does the pho contain MSG?

MSG is naturally contained in a large variety of foods including tomatoes and mushrooms. The answer is almost always yes. Monosodium glutamate is not any dangerous or worse than salt and is a good example of not believing everything you're told. The…

She's been coming here since before they upgraded the space, and from what I understand it's run by brothers. The family is really nice, and it definitely has that local neighborhood spot feel. The main reason she brought me was for their **bún riêu**, but I have to be honest -- it didn't really taste like bún riêu to me. It was still good, but the broth had more of a tomato-y, clearer base and felt like its own soup rather than a true bún riêu. I was also surprised they didn't have **shrimp paste** available for it, which felt kind of odd. They do have **bánh bèo** and some other Vietnamese dishes, which I thought was cool, and overall everything we tried was okay. I've had a different soup from here before, and I've also gotten it delivered, and I'd say the experience is pretty much the same across the board -- decent, solid, nothing bad, but nothing that really stands out for me either. That said, I'd still come back because my girlfriend enjoys it, the family is sweet, and there aren't a ton of Vietnamese spots I've tried out in the Valley yet. It's one of those neighborhood places that's nice to have around, even if it's not something I'd personally go out of my way for.

The pork was deeply flavorful, the bread was fresh, and the pickled veggies were crisp and bright. But the cup of pork broth for dipping is what took it over the edge. It was incredible, and I now expect it with every banh mi for the rest of my life. Vui Ve has ruined other sandwiches for me and I regret nothing. The space is cute, simple, and communal, with decor that feels thoughtful without trying too hard. Our server, whose name I wish I had caught, was a hero. She was seating guests, handling pickup orders, prepping food, serving, and clearing tables, basically a one woman show. She still made time to chat with us and make us feel welcome. Kind, sweet, and hustling like crazy. Loved every minute of it. If you see a pork broth cup on the menu, say yes.

I was definitely one of the earlier customers to give this spot a try and support it, and I've always appreciated the neighborhood vibe, generally affordable prices, and casual atmosphere. I've had the pho before, and while it wasn't the best I've ever had, it was decent overall. I personally think the broth could use a little more depth and flavor, but I've always liked having a spot like this in the neighborhood. Unfortunately, my most recent experience left a bad taste in my mouth, and not because of the food. My partner and I stopped by around 8:30 p.m. on a rainy evening, knowing the restaurant closed at 9. We had been running around all day and really just wanted something warm to eat. We were hoping to sit down, order a bowl of soup, and enjoy a quick meal. The restaurant wasn't at capacity, and several people were still seated and enjoying their food. The first employee asked whether we wanted to dine in or order to go, and we were in the process of ordering when another employee came over and told us they were no longer seating anyone and were only offering takeout because the kitchen needed to close down. I understand the service industry. I work in it myself, so I absolutely respect that employees want to clean up, wrap things up, and get home at a reasonable hour. I wasn't expecting to order a full spread or keep anyone there all night. We were two people who wanted a simple, hot meal with 30 minutes remaining before closing. We even tried to find a compromise. We explained that we were happy to have our food packaged to go if that made things easier, but we still wanted to sit down and eat it there. We weren't asking for anything elaborate. Unfortunately, the answer remained no. What made the interaction particularly frustrating was that we were already being helped by another employee, and it felt as though the interaction was abruptly interrupted to turn us away. The way it was handled made us feel unwelcome, especially when other customers were still comfortably dining inside. We no longer live in the immediate area, but I'm very familiar with the neighborhood and made the drive over. We had to circle around looking for parking, finally park, and walk over, only to be told that sitting down for a quick bowl of soup wasn't an option at 8:30 p.m. I understand that restaurants have closing procedures, but there's a difference between setting reasonable boundaries and making customers feel like an inconvenience for showing up during posted business hours. If the restaurant has a last dine-in seating time earlier than its official closing time, I think that should be communicated clearly. Otherwise, customers reasonably expect that arriving 30 minutes before closing means they can still order a quick meal, provided the kitchen is accepting orders. I genuinely wanted to support a familiar neighborhood spot that I've visited before. I wasn't looking for special treatment, just a warm meal and a welcoming experience on a cold, rainy evening. I still think this place has a good neighborhood feel and potential, but this interaction was disappointing. Hospitality matters, too, and how you make people feel can be just as memorable as the food. I hope management takes this feedback constructively.
