Tom yum soup with one shrimp three fish balls and medium spice

Yelp recommended this place, so we decided to give it a try. So glad we did. This is not high end Thai food, but if you are happy with home cook style, this place rocks. Nick provided us great service, place is clean and nearby. We also had Thai green tea with lychee, also delicious. Very reasonably priced, so glad we found this place.

Service was excellent. I ordered a small bowl of tom kha with steamed tofu and it was excellent. The fried rice with chicken was very bland. There was no color to it--just 2 teeny dices of tomato, and a pinch of green onions. I took it home, but ended up not eating it the next day.

I had an authentic chicken and rice plate that really hit the spot! I was craving something somewhat healthy and decided on chicken. After seeing many positive reviews, I had to try it for myself. I ordered the specialty Hainan chicken, and it did not disappoint. The chicken was juicy, tender, and well-seasoned. The rice was cooked perfectly and was flavorful as well. I would highly recommend it--10/10! My husband chose the Tom Yum chicken wings, and that was a solid choice too. They were freshly made with perfect crispiness. I wasn't expecting this place to taste so good! It's definitely a hidden gem.

The family wanted something refreshing and healthy. There is a Hainan restaurant back home that has the best steamed chicken. We found Chick Corner Thai Kitchen where they serve various Hainan chicken dishes in addition to pho so we decided to give them a try. We bought three dishes: beef pho, steamed hainan chicken and fried hainan chicken. Starting from what we enjoyed the most, the fried chicken had good flavor (even without dipping), nice batter and crispy. The pho had good flavor and ingredients but it was very light in the beef. The Hainan steamed chicken was good but not as flavorful as Rooster and Rice (gold standard) in the Bay Area. Chick Corner is a quaint restaurant with a sweet staff serving good food. Try the yummy fried Hainan chicken, you won't be disappointed. We will try some of the other dishes on our next visit.

Great hainam chicken place in the San Fernando Valley! This is right next to my favorite Indian spot! Who knew? Ordered the grilled and fried chicken plates and an order of fries for my daughter. Food was ready and delicious! Lady at the counter was super nice! Place was clean! So happy to have discovered this place!

The specialty hainan chicken is excellent in my opinion. I have ordered the dish a few times and it is consistently done well. There's a parking lot and customer service was great !

Hidden inside a tiny plaza in the Valley Village area this unassuming Thai restaurant is tucked away, almost hidden from view. As soon as we entered I was surprised at how small the restaurant was. Everything was very tight and compact. The service was extremely friendly fast and very attentive, however, for the price, I have to admit that the portions were incredibly small. Also, the food was served on these rather cheap paper plates, which I felt was tacky. I also got their Thai lemonade, which, although was tasty I was surprised to hear it was not made fresh. It was made from a powder bought from the store store. I feel like they could really elevate their food so much if they put in more effort and they need to make their portions larger to match the prices, they have set their food at. Flavor wise the food was good, but I was not left. Feeling impressed as I have tried other type places in the area that were much much better.

Finally a Hainan Chicken in the Valley that is great value, fresh and tasty . Their rice was so aromatic and flavor, chicken broth so clear and nourishing, chicken was tender, and garlic sauce/sweet soy sauce was so delicious! It's so rare to find Hainan chicken in the valley since the one near CSUN closed down last year so I'm glad this one is an available though I wish it was even closer to me.

Found Chick Corner Thai Kitchen via Yelp while looking for Thai restaurants in the area. Boasting a 4.8 average rating with over 100 reviews, I was pretty excited to see what it was all about. To eat, I ordered the Pineapple Fried Rice, priced at $14.95. Overall, I thought the food was great in terms of both size and flavor. There was definitely more than enough to satisfy. That said, there really wasn't enough pineapple, chicken, or shrimp. It was mostly the fried rice. I would say this is a good option if you're in the area, but I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to try it.

My husband picked up from this hidden gem. I am really impressed with the Hainan Chicken. It's pretty close to what you get in Malaysia and Singapore. What also impressed us is the chicken was so succulent. Most Thai restaurants tend to over cook their chicken. We got the Hainan Chicken and Grilled Chicken Rice. We also got the Mango Sticky Rice. Very friendly when I called and my husband told me they are very nice.

Great eatery with great food and hospitality. The chicken rice is authentic and satisfying. My wife likes the chicken pad krapow with fried egg of course. Also tasty chicken wings with a variety of sauces, my favorite is the tamarind.

According to other reviews that I have read earlier today, the restaurant is under new management/ownership. Walked in today around 4:45pm and got a very nice, warm welcome from Alex - the owner himself. He told me to have a seat anywhere that I wanted, so I did. Alex himself took my order and the food came out pretty quickly and fast. I was very hungry so I got 2 main entrées and their regular small salad with peanut dressing. Ordered their Pad See Ew with beef & shrimp that also came with well cooked broccoli. I also got their crab fried rice and stayed with my water. Both entrees were cooked really well and were hot & tasty. My only complaint was that the beef was a bit overcooked and hard to chew. A lot of to-go orders and delivery/pick up by 3rd parties. Place was SPOTLESS CLEAN, including their gender neutral restroom. They also had nice decor all around. I really enjoyed my lunch and the portions being HUGE, took the rest home for my son to eat. Parking shared with 100 businesses:-) Thank you Alex & Noodle Monster!

Another Yelper commented that this place was lackluster. Well he nailed it on the coffin. First off, it was hard to find now since it's in a strip mall where all other shops are now permanently closed. Well at least you know parking is no longer a problem here unlike back in the days when you would be lucky to find a parking on the street. Ordered a noodle dish that was supposed to have duck. No duck flavor in the broth and it came out looking like ramen noodles instead of egg noodles and the broth was so bland. Usually, a Thai boat noodle soup would have a rich, beef, savory flavored broth with flavors of herbs and spices. This was bland and took a bit of "doctoring" up with condiments in order to make it taste decent. The beef pad see ew did not have that unique IFYKYK taste you would expect from cooking on a hot, fiery wok. We happened to be driving back home but wanted to get Thai food on the way home. What i should've done is drive a few miles further and ate at the Wat Thai temple. Everything we ate here cost almost freaking $85 dollars including a Thai iced tea and a Sprite with the colored syrup. Save your money and go to Wat Thai for a tastier, food experience.

This place was called Voila Boutique for as long as I can remember. The Rustic Spoon opened right before the pandemic. They survived and now this is definitely one of the best Thai spots in town. We started off with Steamed Chicken Dumplings, Tom Yum Soup with Shrimp and Jasmine Tea. The Dumplings were fine, the soup had a nice lemon grass broth, lots of mushrooms and about five full shrimp. We moved on the the Krapow with chicken, which was very tasty. Drunken Noodles with Beef was also very nice, and then we had two curries with chicken - The Yellow Curry and the Massaman Curry. Both were served in a Yellow curry sauce. The subtle difference was the cinnamon braised chicken in the Massaman curry, otherwise both dishes tasted the same and were very good. This was a delicious meal and a very pleasant experience. The service was excellent and the vibe inside is comfortable, relaxing and sleek. There is also a large parking lot in the back, which is very convenient. As much as I like the Toluca Lake location, I think I like this spot better.
