    C3. Crispy Crepes/Bánh Xèo, $17.95
    Nikky B.

Convenient and comforting at times, but hit or miss on quality. Updated to 2/5 stars only because our daughter requested their phở during their post-surgery recovery this week and genuinely enjoyed it. We did takeout three times in the last six days, and my daughter said the leftover phở still tasted good after two days. That kind of comfort food earns some grace! That said, the overall experience has been inconsistent. They're stingy with limes, even when I specifically asked for extra. If you're a lime lover, be ready to ration. I did enjoy their egg rolls. They made with shredded taro as part of the filling, just like my bà ngoại used to make, and seasoned well. One of the few bright spots on the menu. The combo vermicelli was a letdown: over-grilled shrimp, and the grilled pork was thin and chewy. Just not satisfying. Today I came in for lunch and ordered the Bánh Xèo ($17.95), and it was a big disappointment. It was thick, soggy, and greasy, with zero crispness, nothing like the light, crunchy texture of Bánh Xèo. No mung beans which is signature Southern Vietnam style, and they added mushrooms, which felt like a Western twist. The filling included bean sprouts, shrimp, and BBQ pork (instead of traditional steamed pork). At least they were generous with lettuce and herbs, so I repurposed the filling into my own version of spring rolls since the Bánh Xèo itself was a flop. Check the photos, you'll see what I mean. I'm torn about this place. It's only a 15-minutes leisurely walk from my home, and I've given them multiple chances. Still the quality doesn't justify the convenience, I'd rather drive a little further for food that hits the mark. Happy to see their business doing well. It's their second location and they're in a prime spot right across from Kaiser Permanente Hospital and Medical Center. I just wish the food matched the potential of the location. P.Y. Provides toilet seat covers in gender-labeled restrooms.

It's been a couple of years since we visited this location. We had actually forgotten it was here! We stopped in for pho but found they also offer bahn mi sandwiches on the menu. We are always looking for good bahn mi. We ordered the chicken and the pork sandwiches. Both were absolute delicious! Crisp outter crust on the bread and soft inside is what makes a bahn mi top notch and they have it perfected here! The veggie toppings were all nicely pickled and a great compliment. We did order the pho as well. It was good but we were still so impressed by our sandwiches that we took most of our pho home with us. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant is clean and nice. The menu has tons of options so give them a try. There's sure to be something for everyone!

I've been craving pho for WEEKS. We had a long day, and it was straight down pour the whole day. What better what to warm up than with a bowl of pho! Popped for the pho dac biet, which is usually categorized as the pho special at most pho places. The bowl was huge! There was a ton of broth and noodles, but not so much meat fixings. I like a good 50/50 ratio, but I'd say 75% noodles and broth, 25% meat. They brought over a decent size amount of veggies and herbs for us to share between two bowls of pho. Now for the broth- it was just alright. It didn't give me the simmering for hours flavor that I was craving. Overall the taste was good, slightly sweet and savory while still maintaining that light broth. But the umami punch was lacking. Service was spot on. We walked in at about 7 pm on a Sunday and were seated quickly. After about 5-10 minutes we were brought over water and the menus. After we ordered it was about 10-12 minutes and both of our pho bowls were brought over piping hot! We prefer dipping our meats into small bowls, so when we asked for them the server kindly brought us some. The avocado smoothie with boba came out mid meal. I love all avocado smoothies. But this one definitely tasted more like milk than avocado. The boba pearls were cooked fine, they are slightly sweet so it altered the avocado smoothie taste a bit to make it more sweeter/caramel-y when I mixed it all thoroughly. The restaurant has a bunch of tables and its quite spacious so you don't have to worry about bumping into folks. Parking is relatively okay- it's located in a busier complex so you may have to park a little further but that's not a problem at all.

We had it today for the very first time and it was amazing, the food was amazing and fresh. The service was terrific they are supper fast and kind we saw them legit set a table for I'm guessing a regular and he got there sat down and within a minute they served his food without him even ordering. We loved the ambiance, it was calm clean and very fresh. Our food came out quickly and it tasted amazing, the service was terrific they weren't hovering but also we didn't feel neglected.

While I'm super happy that Clackamas is getting more Vietnamese options, I do wish the options were better than what I've been experiencing at Pho Sen 2. The food has been average overall but the value is not there since the portions have gotten smaller and the prices have increased. Located just off Sunnyside Rd, this place in a plaza that includes popular breweries and eateries such as McMenamins and Dave's Hot Chicken. Parking can get tight on busy days, but I've managed to squeeze in for lunch and for early dinners. As a space, PS2 feels small, but does a good job of fitting medium to large groups given the layout. It also helps since it doesn't appear to be too busy at any given time. I've had a number of things here, but not much of it has stood out. Their cha gio egg rolls ($8 for 4) were a bit larger, super crunchy, and made for an easy starter. Lotus salad ($10.50) with pork and and shrimp were skimpy on the actual proteins, but the pickling of the veggies was strong. Goi cuon summer (2 for $7) rolls were solid, but not that well wrapped. It eventually started falling apart while dipping in the sauce. A nice surprise was the nuoc mam (fish sauce) wings ($11). They had the right amount of crisp, funk, and little kick of sweetness and spice. The spicy beef noodle soup (bun bo hue) was close to $18 and was very unmemorable with tough meats and a less than memorable broth. Their special signature pho ($17) was much of the same. Meats were skimpy and the broth was once again a little bland. Not my favorite by a long stretch. The service was lukewarm but very casual. As the the Asian communities within Happy Valley and Clackamas continue to grow, I'm really hoping they'll step it up so that the can add to the dining scene of the neighborhood.

Third untouched order in the garbage. The smell coming from it is foul.

Ordered from here Friday night and the Pho came spoiled. The soup was extremely sour and not edible. After heating it up in a pot the food left a foul odor in the house. We took a couple bites and dumped it down the sink. Ordered 3 orders, dumped 2 and threw the other order in the garbage.

I came here on a whim one day and thought that it was amazing. The inside is spacious, with tons of seating and the large windows make the place brighter during the day. I ordered an order of chicken wings and bowl of specialty pho, and they came out surprisingly very fast (in contrast to what other reviews have stated). The chicken wings were so crispy on the outside but the perfect tenderness on the inside, and the sauce was packed of flavor and fish sauce--just the way I like it. The pho was a good portion and there was lots of meat. The broth was rich and flavorful. I overall had a great time here, and would definitely come back again.

Shrimp A2. Salad Roll (2 Rolls) / shrimp / peanut sauce

Love doing pick up food for lunch. I usually get the shrimp salad rolls with peanut sauce. They are quick and it is easy to go grab. So yummy. Nice staff.

not a whole lot of veggie options for the pho, and the flavors were alright. the service was pretty quick, which is definitely a highlight, and the restaurant had lots of open seating. overall, a very calm place to dine.

Chicken and pork broth with BBQ pork, shrimp, squid and quail egg.

Introducing our friend to Pho at this restaurant. This will be her first time eating it. I ordered the Pho Special, large. My friend ordered the special chicken and pork broth with BBQ pork, shrimp, squid and quail egg in rice noodles as her intro to pho noodles. My other friend ordered Grilled pork chop, grilled shrimp and omelet egg on top of jasmine rice. Service was quick. The food was delicious . Everyone finished all the food that they had ordered. This is more of a eat and go kinda place. No frills. Very low key environment.

    Vegetable pho, and pantry

I've ordered the vegetable pho and it was very flavorful. A different taste than what I've had other restaurants. The pad Thai was a little lacking. I would recommend this place. The service was nice and the ambience was outstanding. Support small businesses.

Good price and meat portions. Not the best pho broth but certainly not the worst. Did a good job on to go packing.

I walked in and then up to the counter. I placed an order for an Oxtail Pho and an order of Egg Rolls. I paid and then stepped aside and sat at a table to wait. I don't know if it was because I was tired, but I felt like I was being inconvenient for placing an order. When my order was ready, it was plopped down where I sat. I took it and left. As I was leaving someone thanked me for my business. We ate two of the Egg Rolls sitting at a table in front of another business. They were served with Fish Sauce and were delicious. Hot, fresh and crunchy. We took the other two and my Pho back to our hotel. When I opened the Pho, the soup was in one container and the noodles and oxtails were in another. Jalapenos, basil, bean sprouts and lime were in a plastic baggie. The flavors were good. The oxtail was cut in an unusual way but had the right flavors. Whoever packed my order failed to ask me or include utensils.

What I love about Pho Gabo is that the lesser known Vietnamese specialities really get a chance to shine here. These are items that a majority of Vietnamese places don't necessarily serve and can be quite rare throughout a the many pho restaurants we have in Portland. On this day I had the banh canh cua which is the crab udon noodle soup. Despite being a smaller restaurant with a lot of various dishes/soups....I was worried that the broths would taste "stale" since they might not have much turnover. However everytime I've dined at Pho Gabo this has never been a problem as if they cook everything regularly in small batches sorta like how Ha VL does it It was a very good rendition at BCC, especially for Portland only 2nd to my mom's version (no seriously my mom's version is S tier). Lots of crab and other ingredients like quail eggs, mushrooms, and a very very good pork loaf "cha." The cha here is really really good and that's saying something bc it's not something I gravitate to. My suggestion if you're new to Pho Gabo whether you are a beginner or veteran of Viet food is to stretch past your comfort zone and try something you've never had or don't regularly order and you'll be pleasantly surprised.
