Vegetarian PHO

This place was sooo good and tasted so fresh! We are gluten free and was able to enjoy gluten free rice noodles and broth! So excited to find a place like this with nice servers.

First time here and we ordered Thai iced teas, fresh spring rolls, and chicken vermicelli bowls for lunch. The service was fast, and the environment casual and spacious, good for large groups. There is both inside and outside seating. It was just 2 of us and the noise level being seated inside next to a table of 10 was surprisingly ok, balanced out with the soft music and noise of the open kitchen. The food was tasty, I liked the freshness of the spring rolls, but prefer the vermicelli bowls at other Vietnamese restaurants in the area. The portions were generous, plenty of leftover vermicelli to take home. 4 stars for service & ambiance, and 3 stars for food.

We were in the area and wanted to get some pho so we stopped by this place on a Sunday night- there were only 2 other parties there so lots of open seating. The service was pretty quick and the interior was clean. We got a few appetizers- the chicken wings and egg rolls were pretty good (nice and crispy) but the spring rolls rice paper was way too hard and chewy and the fried tofu had no flavor. I would definitely not order those 2 items again. Beef pho was pretty good, meat was nice and tender and broth was flavorful. The vermicelli bowl was also pretty good. I got the kumquat iced tea which was quite sweet but refreshing. Overall a solid place to stop at if ur craving some pho.

was a cold and overcast so I went out for Pho at Pho. inside was clean, full of people and vibrant. The Pho was good, broth was flavorful and the meat was tender. Enjoyed it enough where I will come back again in the future.

I just moved to Marin and had been looking for a place with really good pho. One day I walked by this spot and it smelled so good that I knew I had to come back. When I finally got the chance to go, I ordered the chicken pho -- and wow, it was amazing! The broth was flavorful, the chicken was tender, and by the time I finished, I was already craving more. The restaurant itself is also really nice and clean inside, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely my new go-to pho place in Marin!

Amazing food ! First time eating at this place the waitress was patient with all my questions and helped me choose accordingly. Spring rolls with sauce with divine and the soup was just perfect. Will be coming back I 100% think you should try this place out

WHY WE WENT HERE: - weather was surprisingly gloomy for a summer day THE LOOK (FROM THE OUTSIDE): - located in a plaza off Bellam Blvd and the 580 exit/entrance - located in the same plaza as Grocery Outlet and Ross Dress for Less - some enclosed outdoor patio seating THE LOOK (FROM THE INSIDE): - love the wood tables, red seating, textured bamboo-esque light fixtures - against the wall is leather padded bench seating as well THE MENU: - appetizer - beverage - pho - daily specials - on the grill WHAT WE ORDERED: - A1 - Fried Eggrolls - B5 - Rare Sliced Beef & Briskets - G2 - V-Grilled Pork THE TASTE: - I grew up in San Jose so I know what good Vietnamese food is supposed to taste like and this was not it; everything looked better than how it tasted CUSTOMER SERVICE: - nice enough - warm and welcoming - check out was a breeze

Super nice staff here and they are very attentive to your needs! The location is great and there are tons of tables to sit at. The design inside is really fun, and they've got a pretty sizable outdoor patio as well. The brisket and beef pho was delicious! The egg rolls were very good too. Will certainly be back!

I really like the decor and ambiance of this restaurant as compared to other pho places around. Their pho and the service is good. I got the vermicelli bowl. It was fine, could use a bit more pickled veggies. We also tried their spring rolls. Also good, a bit over fried and they give you 3 without cutting them so if there are 2 of you, one person gets less. Unfortunately all of their food has MSG and I get a migraine from it, which I regrettably asked afterwards. I really wish they had some MSG free options for the many of us who are sensitive to it. You don't really need msg if you use good ingredients to give your food flavor.

Good food, goods service and outdoor seating, dog friendly. The only thing I recommend is to increase appetizers options as only fried items are available right now. Everything else is great!

Best Pho in Marin hands-down and great customer service. I love the atmosphere. I love the music. The food is so good. We ordered the spring rolls with shrimp. And of course. Beef Pho love it I have to stop eating my food to write this review.

Seafood soup (Sriracha added by us)

First of all, great to have another Vietnamese Pho house here in Marin! Stopped by for a Mothers' Day brunch and we were not disappointed. The place is HUGE, a beautiful space tall ceiling and really nice floral wallpaper. The menu is really all about the Pho and other soups - there are some rice and noodle plates on the menu but I'd call this a Pho house first and foremost. We started with some appetizers - we got the fish cakes, tofu, and eggrolls. Each came with its own dipping sauce and they were all incredibly fresh. The we had the soups - I had a Wonton, my wife had the seafood and our veggie daughter had - you guessed it - veggie soup. Grandpa had the grilled beef rice plate which he said was tasty although the beef was a bit tough for his liking. The staff including our waiter Mike were incredibly attentive, helpful, and had a fantastic playlist going (if you're my age, anyway). The overall experience was just fabulous and we can't wait to get back there. Bring a huge party, this place is ginormous! We got there early today but I imagine it gets pretty busy during the rush hours. Five stars all around.

It's not like authentic Vietnamese food. It was 2-3/5. Service is good but the food was just boring..

For take out I only order two things - A9 Fried Chicken Wings; crispy and done very well but they used to give you six and now only four for the same price. And fresh spring rolls. Neither have I ever been disappointed by. When I sit down I only order one thing - #1 House Special Combination Pho. Unfortunately prices have gone up considerably but that is the case with every restaurant in Marin and the Bay Area as a whole. Pho is perfect for when it is cold, you feel run down or are hung over. When it comes to Pho, broth is most important followed by how generous and fresh the meat portions and then the noodles. VN Noodle has satisfying broth and I have yet to be disappointed by the portions and freshness. Pho Viet is a very close second. Four stars because this is good Pho, not great Pho (no where in Marin has great Pho, or great Asian food in general. Sorely lacking for such an affluent area. Marin needs a Ranch 99 or HMart as well). $20 for a decent bowl of pho is quite a lot. The ambiance is so so and the service can vary depending on the visit. Still this is probably your best bet for Vietnamese food in Marin County. Parking is good and you don't have to wait long for your food.

I got their #25 which was a large bowl of noodles with spicy broth, Shrimp Cakes and Spring Rolls. The Shrimp Cakes and Spring Rolls were Ok, The Spicy noodles were good, spice level and flavor was good and warmed me up, was exactly what I needed for a cold night. Overall the food was decent. My only knock on the place was no public bathrooms and the inside wasn't really nice. I will go back in the future. to try other dishes.

There is street parking available and seating was quick, although we arrived shortly after 5 pm. My husband had fried spring rolls, fried chicken, lemon aid, and the seafood hot pot with rice. I had the fresh rolls with shrimp. Both of us took home lots of leftovers. The fried chicken was excellent and not greasy. The spices were delightful and not overwhelming. It was perfectly crispy. The spring rolls were also very good and crispy with a nice mix of flavors. The real star was the seafood hot pot! So many great pieces of shrimp, seafood, mushrooms, peppers, bok choy, onion, and the best light broth. I kept sneaking my fork into my husband's bowl for more and I'm usually not a big fan. My fresh rolls were both generous and excellent. I appreciated the delicate balance between the romaine and mint with the fresh vermicelli. The shrimp were thinly sliced and fresh. We will be making this place a regular on our rotation of favorites.

Their bánh mì options are legit and absolutely worth ordering. They also have a killer pho lineup with all the classics--barbecue beef, chicken, pork, and more. The broth is flavorful and comforting, and the portions are generous. It's the kind of pho that hits the spot every time. Don't miss the fresh shrimp rolls--light, refreshing, and super tasty. Perfect balance to the richer dishes. Another standout detail: they serve coconut juice straight from an actual cut coconut, which feels both fresh and fun and pairs perfectly with the food. They offer both dine-in and to-go, which makes it easy whether you're sitting down for a meal or grabbing something quick. Between the bánh mì, the pho, the fresh rolls, and the coconut drink, Saigon Village delivers on flavor and variety. A solid go-to spot for Vietnamese comfort food.

San Rafael 4th street has a lot to offer - and it's worth checking these spots out. The storefront is inviting and the inside of the restaurant is clean and well organized and appointed. The wine and beer list has few choices - and I would encourage a little more local variety to make it inviting to a wine lover like myself. I was efficiently approached by wait staff and felt welcomed I ordered Pad Woon Sen, which I've never before tried. The food came quickly - a beautiful dish of thin noodles and mushrooms with onions and celery adorned with steak. I finished my plate. Perfect lunch portion. Attentive service. The taste of quality ingredients and pride in their efforts. I will add this to my go-to spots in San Rafael!

My wife and I have been coming here for 30 years, and will still come in 3 times a month. It's far from pretentious, and when it's good.. it's great! On an off day, it's just good. While it used to be an amazing value, post Covid, it's a good value. Their rolls are fantastic; their 'Crab Specials' are to die for! super friendly team! show up twice and they'll know your name. Not to put off the sushi snobs, but they also serve Chinese food. I think it's about the best chinese food in San Rafael, though San Rafael does not set a high bar. Go check them out. I expected the lemon chicken to be similar to sweet and sour chicken/pork or orange chicken where the batter/outside is fried and crispy and the chicken/pork in the center is seasoned and tender. The batter/outside was for lack of a better word "soggy" but the saucy was lemon forward with a slight tang. I'll rate it a 5/10. The beef and broccoli had a strong ginger flavor that I was a fan of, so I would rate it a 2/10. The service was fast and attentive and the restaurant itself is average not fancy and not rundown.
