We came here 2 weeks ago on a day trip to SF. We decided to go here for late lunch instead of one of those restaurants in SF as we couldn't find a parking spot. We got the special combo pho, pho ga and pho no meat (just noodles and beef broth for our 10 year old as she doesn't like the beef or chicken in Pho). Everything was delicious. We got some egg rolls for appetizers and those came out hot and crispy. The pho was good but it was lacking a bit of the meat. I only got a few pieces of beef and some tripe. For $1 more, you can upgrade to a large. It's not super big since I was able to finish it. The broth was also very flavorful. Came to Pho Viet on a rainy Sunday afternoon with my partner. It was empty until two different groups arrived during our time there. They have plenty of available seating! An older looking family run small business. Service was fast, friendly and warm. Our order had a missing item, but we were in a hurry so we just cancelled the one item (a hot coffee). Internet was down though today, so we couldn't pay by card and was forced to pay by cash. Not sure if it's a common occurrence. They have a fairly large dining room and could seat quite a lot of people. We tried the fresh rolls (nice and crispy lettuce but shrimps were a little small), Bun Bo Hue (not quite the traditional soup we're used to but the noodles were good and it hit the spot) and #7 Special Combo Pho Noodles (good portion!). Pretty good vietnamese spot next to all the car dealerships. Gets quite busy during lunch as its probably the only noodle spot around san rafael that's not Thai. Beef noodle soup #6 was pretty tasty and good portion at $15. Good soup but could have been hotter so I could further heat up my beef on the side. Meatball was tasty, many pieces of cut up beef meatball. The fried spring roll insides were good, but somehow felt a little different regarding the wrapper, which didn't make it feel like a normal imperial roll, it wasn't especially oily which was nice, but I think could be improved with better crunch read more

I loved the spice Pho I ordered. My friend ordered number 14 and from previous reviews I'd agree. There was more meat in the large size versus small. Please please do not waste your money on the fresh spring rolls. I've never been so disappointed. From the photo you can tell all there was in the roll was noddle, lettuce and shrimp. There's not a lot of options for pho in Marin but this place is always a good option. Been here a couple of times now and their pho is perfect for a gloomy day. I ordered the spring roll with bbq pork and they were delish, I would def order these again. They taste so different from the shrimp ones and are a good alternative if those aren't your fave. I like their seafood pho, but the chicken and broccoli in it always kind of throw me off. The servers are always on top of everything and checking in with you. But when we arrived, we discovered that they actually close at 8 p.m. They gave us a seat anyway, but people who came in after us were turned away. You can see from the photos the chairs are already up on the tables as we were seated. They were cleaning all around us as we ordered, and as others were leaving and a booth opened up, they asked us to move to it. I'm not put off by this behavior, but I have never experienced it before. In my experience, waitstaff wait until dinner service is over with and the patrons have left before they put the chairs up and mop the floor. At any rate, the food was good. They had at least one vegan item on the menu, so I ordered that: Tofu with Mixed Seasonal Vegetables in Lemon Grass. Unremarkable, but enough for two meals for me, so I took half home. read more

I love the food. I got a pork chop rice plate that had all the great fixings with the fried egg and shredded pork. The meat was tender and full of flavor. I also had the tofu spring roll. It was surprisingly delicious. The tofu had just the right texture and tasted amazing (didn't get a photo because I was shocked with the staff not wearing a mask while making it) I would've given it a 4-5 star but it is hard when they have workers serving my food, walking around, AND MAKING MY FOOD with either NO MASKS or with MASKS UNDER THE MOUTH. This is the best spot I've found to head on a rainy day or when you can't choose what to eat for lunch. The bowls are HUGE and I always have extra to take home. They have delicious specials that are always changing and every other plate I've tried is always hot, tasty and comes out super fast! The only thing that is a little funky has been the service. My experience is that they point at a general area for you to find a table, and it was an awkward vibe the past couple times asking for to go boxes or water. I had been to this spot a few times for takeout, and thought it was okay. Recently we tried dining in, and loved it. Not only is the food so fast and fresh, but this is a great, easy spot to bring kids. I love their pho, especially the special with the bbq. My kids love the garlic noodles with shrimp and my hubby is a big fan of the vermicelli bowl. And you know, any pho / Vietnamese restaurant opening at 10 am is definitely authentic, catering to the Southeast Asian / Vietnamese cultures where breakfast doesn't mean bacon and eggs or waffles/pancakes or oatmeal nor cereal.
