I took a copy of their menu and sat and waited. Then I later realized that I wanted Patè. It's not on the menu but the ladies at the counter were nice enough to add it with no fuss. I just can't imagine without patè. The menu looks promising. Lots of choices like spring rolls and wings. It looks good. But since this place is named Banh Mi Boys, I'm assuming their sandwiches should be the star of their menu. Let's see! I bought it as take out. So if you want patè, you need to ask. Which is not a problem. I'll continue my review when I take the sandwich home. I'm in a hurry to get home. Took a bite and the bread is actually toasted. The amount of veggies ratio to meat is fine. My preference would be to have more of the pickled veggies. The pickled veggies must've been made in house. It tasted fresh and crunchy. I guess what I'm use to with the California Banh Mi is a little different. I'm use to deep marinade into the meats but this will do for now since it's a soft opening. A bit too charred for me on the meat but then again Texas region they like that sort of stuff in their bbq. So I take into account that the cultural influence in the area. They've added fresh cucumbers, cilantro and jalapenos. Overall they have a nice looking menu. I would probably prefer a little more Patè. The pork meat would been better if it were sliced thinly. I like more veggies. Maybe next time I can say it when I go in for my next round. So far it's good. Im trying to not be overly picky. Been to so many Vietnamese restaurants and Banh mi places, I know what I'm looking for. It's a soft opening so I'll keep my expectations to as it is. It's brand new. I'm looking forward to trying the other stuff on their menu.

I gave 3 stars…read morebecause I was so excited about trying this place and I ended up getting disappointed but it's partially my fault because I didn't consume the food while it was fresh. I think it was about an hour before I got to eat it and the fries aren't something you would warm up, if you know what I mean. I was really looking forward to trying this and it just didn't give what it was supposed to, for me. The service was good tho and quick, the young ladies at the front counter were very sweet. The ambiance in the restaurant was very family feel and clean so I can definitely appreciate that, not to mention the artwork on the walls are beautiful. I ordered over the phone and it was quick & efficient. The order was of a steak & egg bahn mi, a char siu bahn mi, an order of Cajun crack fries and steak & egg fries. I enjoyed my char siu bahn mi, I'd give it a 7.5/10 - mainly because my bread buns were a little hard which made it a little hard to chew but it was still delicious. The Cajun crack fries was referred to me by the young lady on the phone and it was good, tho I didn't really eat the fries, I mainly ate the chicken and bacon that was in on it (because I didn't eat it fresh, the heat created some condensation inside the plate and made the fries soggy). I have a feeling that if I had it fresh it would have been better, it's why I gave this review 3 stars. My husband had the steak and eggs and although he did not enjoy it (he didn't like that when he'd bite into the sandwich all the meat would come out), I finished all of his food (lol). The steak was a little tough but I love the egg on it too. I hope to try this place again, another day so I could give it a more justified review. I do recommend this place though.

Still I am in search for the best Banh Mi in Killeen. I've decided to take a bite in the parking lot. The bread is good. Nice a fresh and toasted. There were picked carrots I think I see cucumbers. The pate appears like a red spread. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be asking for like daikon but I look forward to that whenever I order banh mi. On this day in 02.06.2024 - my price of only the sandwich is $7.09. Ok it tasted good but I got my preferences. I'd like pickled daikon. Overall it tasted good. I should literally start a food blog because I'd like to rate all the banh mi places I've tried in Killeen. That's probably something I'll have to think about.

One of us order shrimp fried rice, which came out earlier than the rest. The soups all come out together. I ordered the Wonton Noodle Soup. There were only three wontons in the whole bowl--which was a little disappointing. The flavor of the broth was lacking. I used the toppings from one of the Phos that got ordered to razzle dazzle it up a little bit--and some chili oil. Chili oil didnt not pack much heat or depth in flavor. All in all...pretty mediocre. Would check out some other spots before I decide whether or not to return.

Unfortunately, the restaurant still included both in my food. This is especially frustrating because I do not eat pork for religious reasons, and I cannot tolerate onions at all--not even the smell of raw onions. That is exactly why I made sure to leave clear instructions in the order notes. What disappoints me most is that this is now the third time my order has been prepared incorrectly despite the same request being included each time. At this point, I genuinely wonder whether customer notes are being read at all. I am very disappointed with the lack of attention to dietary and religious restrictions. Customers should be able to trust that special instructions will be taken seriously.

I had to order at the counter first and the guy taking my order didn't understand anything that I said. The place strangely doesn't have regular soda like coke or pepsi, so the guy was extremely confused when I asked if I could order a coke. He ended up giving me a Sprite for free. I also think it's strange to order and tip prior to sitting down and getting your order taken, but I digress. I ordered a rare steak pho (the steak came already cooked) and it was overall decent. The broth was nice and the portion was fair. I was hoping the thin cut steak would come uncooked or rare so that it would cook in the hot broth. I also ordered a vietnamese coffee which was nice and rich. Overall, I'm unsure if I would return. It wasn't a great or bad experience.

We ate here with my family and ordered several dishes, including Pad Thai, sweet and sour beef, Massaman curry, drunken noodles with beef, and chicken pho. The food was enjoyable, and there was a good variety of dishes for everyone to choose from. However, the service could have been better. We sat at a small table and the staff only checked back with us once to refill our water. Nobody checked to see how we were enjoying our food, and we had to get our own condiments. Overall, we had a good meal with family, but the service wasn't particularly attentive. The restaurant was clean, and the food was satisfying, but there is room for improvement when it comes to customer service. I'd consider returning for the food, but I hope the service improves.
