Don't let the location or the building scare you, its not much to look at inside or out. But the food is authentic and really good. IF you like Thai or Korean there's a good chance you like Vitnamese food too. Some of the menu will feel very familiar as there are lots of dishes that cross over with regional variations. We have not had a bad meal here and we have been able to enjoy Veitnamese in places like LA or San Francisco where expectations are high with many natives and people used to authentic quality. The servers are always friendly and the owner/chef seems appreciate of any compliments or praise which he clearly deserves. I consider this a lunch place but there's no reason not to go in for dinner its just not close to where I live for that. We will go out of our way to go here. The food is lighter and more delicate than the fake Chinese food you find in the mall or at Panda. Its not drenched in sugar to hide it. The cooking is more healthy, delicate and layered with flavors. For those who like hot food there are some but most of the menu is not spicy in a hot way. Try it, its worth and we should support locals who bring Joplin more authentic options and which are not unhealthy fast food.

Always a good spot for that Vietnamese craving! Love their pho (though some might consider it a bit salty) and authentic entrées - especially #407. One thing that can be a bit annoying is the wait time if they are busy. Otherwise I fully support this family-owned business.

Pho chay with chicken and a Thai tea

I came here for lunch and the pho is GREAT. You get a good portion and lots of flavor. The start were very accommodating as i wanted to add chicken to my veggie pho. I think I may have found my new pho spot.

Going out on a limb and gonna say this is the best phó in Joplin. Authentic... comparable to what we've had in Hawaii. Soup is a little sweeter and no tendon... but it'll do. Great spring rolls.

Really had a great lunch experience, first time at the place. Unassuming on the outside, warm and friendly on the inside. Had the 303 and the sliced pork was awesome. Add a little chili sauce and the house sauce they brought with the dish. Veggies were as fresh as you can buy.

This business is open during this season but I think it might've been better to take it to go. The restaurant is absolutely filthy. Every condiment was caked with sauce or grime. I wiped down the sticky table myself (after it was cleaned) traded out chairs because they were sticky and washed my own silverware in the bathroom with hot water. We would have left at this point but we were driving to Tulsa and really wanted to continue our trip with no more stops. The restaurant was uncomfortably quiet with no music so we were reduced to almost whispering to prevent everyone from hearing our conversation. The food was very good. Great flavor but I just couldn't get past the dirtiness and wondered what was behind the swinging kitchen doors. They did forget to put the chicken on my dish and said it would be 10 more minutes for them to cook it. When the waiter refilled our waters he rested the pitcher on top of our drinking cup rims. Yuck! I cannot recommend this place unless they took reviews seriously shut down and totally scrubbed the environment.

This hole in the wall has some pretty great Vietnamese food. I'm not that into pho but I had their filet mignon with rice and some spring rolls. My friend said he enjoyed the pho quite a bit. Thought it was great. If you're in the mood for good Vietnamese would definitely recommend.

I would give this restaurant zero star for the service and waitress's attitude , we came here and waiting for seat but the waitress didn't show us where to sit, i told her we have two people and she said that " sit anywhere u want " . She ask any drink i want . I said " no thank you" She said " even water " . I said " so can i have a cup of warm water ". She didn't say anything and she asked us if we want ordered yet . My wife ordered 2 noodle . And the waitress bring the cup of water to us it really hot and she put it on the table with a not happy attitude and i don't understand why she bring a really hot water ( look like just boiled ) like this for customer, and the attitude when she place the bowl of noodle is made i feel like the customer is not welcome that day .

This place was hopping Saturday afternoon! Service is a little slow as they get used to their new larger place. Everything we had was delicious and worth the wait. We had egg rolls, fried rice and a bowl of noodles. I really love their peach tea, next time I will get "poppings" in it.

They no longer sell Banh mi. The sausage spring roll is also no longer as good as it used to be.

Great service BUT the pho is watery, I'd rather have the pho at the mall. The bahn mi sandwiches are good.

Thai Time was one of the only places that wasn't fast food that was open around 9 PM. The restaurant is very small and I think most people pick up takeout from the drive-thru (Most Thai places in California are sit-down, so experiencing drive-thru Thai was very novel to me), but we dined in. We ordered a peanut-sauce chicken that came with steamed veggies and rice (Rama chicken), as well as a Singapore-style curry noodle with stir-fried celery, pepper, and carrots (Lion City noodles). They were alright--nothing really to write home about, but something that my body appreciated after days of brisket and burnt ends (lol). The chicken dish would have been extremely bland without the peanut sauce, and the curry vermicelli was on the salty side. For fast food Thai, our dinner wasn't cheap, either. I think we paid around $37-40 (including tip) for two dishes. I'm still giving this place a 4/5 because service was fast and friendly, the food was okay, and I always like to support local Asian businesses.

Like many restaurants in Joplin, the outside is often nothing to get excited about and as someone who works in graphic design and advertising I'm heavily influenced by presentation and packaging. Don't judge this book by the cover! The inside looks really cute, upscale and trendy with an Asian vibe but not over the top or kitschy. This is a palce I would be happy bringing clients, friends or a date night dinner. The inside would fit right in San Francisco, LA or Chicago. The menu is shorter but still has plenty of choices. I highly recommend trying the soups as they serve several traditional Thai and Vietnamese along with the typical Chinese-American soups. My wife had a beef fried rice dish and I had the beef and meatball Pho. Sort of my starter test, if they do well on the Pho I will come back and try them again. The Pho was simpler than others I've had but still very good. I thought it was a bit mild, not in a spicy hot way, but in seasoning. If your looking for a comforting warm broth on a cold day this would hit the spot. Adding a little balck sauce (always on the table) was just enough added flavor. However I felt the Pho needed more vegetables; carrots, cabbage, bok choy, onion etc. It may just be their still but although very good it was basically broth, meat, sprouts (which I love) and sweet basil (instead of cilantro). Again, it was still very good but why I only gave them four stars. My wife's dish was elegant, and I'd even say fancy. Instead of dumping everything in a big bowl and calling it fried rice each element was presented seperately and generiously. Her dish was far more flavorful and complex than mine. She honestly had made a better selection and perhaps I ordered something that was not their best dish. I think my wife would have rated them five stars. Last we also ordered the fresh translucent spring rolls with the peanuty dipping sauce. It was perfect, fresh, cool, crisp and always fun to see through the translucent wrap. The sauce was so good we wanted to eat it with a spoon after the spring rolls were consumed.

The food actually resembles the pictures on the menu! The service was professional and efficient…read more The restaurant was Zen in color and design. My husband has alpha gal. It is an allergy to mammal meat. For this reason we don't order spring or egg rolls. However, our waiter had the cook make spring rolls for us with shrimp only. They were great!
