The soup base was not rich in flavor just salty. Although my Banh mi plate was actually pretty good with all the ingredients cooked on a sizzling skillet when they served it. You wrap your own hoagie with the toasted baguette. I would not recommend this place for pho. Did not try their vermiculite, so no comment on that choice.

I added a side of bok choi and broccoli. A side plate of sprouts, cilantro, jalapeño, and lime came with it. We also tried a variety of appetizers (see photos). Another stand out was the Vietnamese "hoagie" - what a nice surprise. For an Asian cuisine restaurant, the roll was amazing! The place is small and busy with take out so the door opened and closed a lot. It was a little chilly inside because of this. No big deal. The staff were friendly and the service adequate. We tried the bun bo hue (beef lemongrass pho) and a combo of beef pho and a pork hoagie. The lemongrass pho had pork feet, 4 small pieces of beef, and 3 slices of Vietnamese ham. Aside from the spice, the broth lacked depth. The hoagies were small and was mostly just bread with very little meat. In general, I found their portions to be small and the ratio of meat to stuff (noodles, bread, etc) is rather low. The combo portions are the same size as the kids portions. The server said that it is roughly 2/3 of the regular portion but I think it is less than that. On the plus side, I think they've done a good job of adapting their menu to appeal to people that are not familiar with Vietnamese food.

They now have started serving Pho with vegetable broth, so I can finally eat here. They have different Phos and other options you can order. I have tried the seafood Pho, shrimp Pho, summer rolls, the Korean dogs w/o meat and a few of the boba drinks. The Phos come in small and large, and I will say that the large is enough for you to take another meal home for the next day, the small is a great portion. My family have tried several meat items and they have stated they were all delicious. The only dish that my brother has ordered that was VERY questionable was the Salmon. I am unsure what they did to it, but the texture and the appearance was not appetizing at all. If you are in need of a nice soup, this is a great place with several different options. All in all, since they don't have competition this is a great place when in need of Pho!!
