Was in the area for an errand and found myself hungry at dinner time. Searched for a pho place nearby and here i am. Standard pho - beef and brisket. Broth was average. Not weak but no bold either. Less servings of beef and noodles than other pho joints. But whats good is that NO or little MSG. I never felt thirsty after wards. (3.5 stars) coz of th Service was quick and efficient. Quick meal To warm the soul. No fancy stuff. Simly pho and all its goodness. A simple mom and pop operation serving the citizens of Ladner. Typical neighbourhood pho place. We didn't want to cook so we decided to check this place out. We hadn't eaten out in a while so this would've been a nice treat. The service was truly great and deserving this three star. There were 2 young adults minding the front house. They were really sweet. The food was okay. We ordered grilled pork chops and house special grilled platter: and a plate of deep fried squid. The best thing on the menu was their spring rolls, authentic and delicious. The squids were also delicious but the portion was tiny - instead of the normal portions that you'd get at many restaurants, this one came in a thin strip and heavy on the coating. It costs $9.50 so we were disappointed about the portion and stinginess of this dish. But it was delicious. The grilled platters were okay. The lemongrass chicken was nice. The mince meat was nee for us, we expected ground meat, instead for a slab of 'ham' style meat. The pork was tough and had a very strong pork odour but delicious in flavour. read more

Recently, I have been visiting Ladner, Tsawwassen area for various purposes, meeting up with friends, walking with my dog at Centanial Beach, visiting the car wash at the Shell in Tsawwassen etc. Passing by the "Main St" of this lovely little town of Ladner, decided to try their Pho shop, since it is our first time here I have have absolutely no expectations. Our ordered items are as standard as can be: House Special Pho: Good broth to start with, not too salty and do have the necessary herbs in the background but not overwhelming. Can be a little bit more salty tho, added a dash of salt and it was much much better, the rest of the bowl was also done well, sliced beef steak still pink when presented and all other cuts were not dry and tough. Bun Bo Hue: I did noticed that some of the Yelper mentioned that this is not an authentic BBH, as it did not even have the right kind of noodles for this very regional dish, but I did see that on their menu it was mentioned that they use Vermicelli in this soup, also when I made the order the Server did mentioned to me again that it comes with Vermicelli, so I thought why not! I actually like it, it is a change from the "authentic" version. Soup again needs a bit of salt to enhance the flavour, but the herbs and taste of the broth itself was well balanced. The meats in the BBH were also very generous, overall, still a nice bowl of noodle soup, if you insist it is not the real BBH. The Fried Spring Roll also was well made and I like the savory filling that was still moist and not dried out, also the rice paper they use was crisp and not greasy, nice addition to your meal. The shop is pretty old fashioned in their design, but with all the newer Pho shops being modern and hip, it is a nice change to see the Pho shops of the by-gone days!! read more

The only Pho in Ladner, from what I can tell anyway, is actually pretty darn good. The beef came raw (yay!), the soup was hot, the noodles were fresh and tender, and they didn't forget my jalapeno and lime wedges. Someone was less than thrilled with the decor, but I think it's cute they tried to make it all tropical. Service was speedy. My only complaint is a minor one. We had soy sauce on the table, and would have preferred fish. read more

As old school as you can get, even with the shrubs & decor and all. Well carpeted too, amazingly, no fish sauce smell in the air. Ordered my usual minced pork, no veggies amd more noodles, substitute the deep fried roll for the healthier prawn salad roll. With the amount of daily eating required for my occupation, gotta cut some corners lol One good thing about vermicelli, a bit more fine & rounder texture. Liked it actually. Pork is great, not too salty. Sufficient green onions & chopped nuts. Also special note about the service, was quite prevalent. Didn't take long to flag a server or so. Credit card ok. For the area, it is great but compared to Van, just a notch down. Still worth coming again. read more

They are the only ones around with the authentic spring rolls but when we got them in our door dash delivery they came to us very moist and gummy. Not crispy at all. And the soup was suppose to be a large with extra brisket and chilli oil but we never received that. It was a small portion with lukewarm soup. read more

Hmmm. What should I review? They get a low rating due to food delivery to the table. It was way off. I received my food when my son was finished his. I almost cancelled my order. They did add more meat to my order to make up for it, but that just meant that I was eating longer while he was done. Unfortunately, this was not the first time this has happened. We've been picking up lunch here for years and must say it's been good, but as of late their carelessness deserves this review and why we'll be going elsewhere from now on. I just ordered pho and didn't get the additives bag! Shame! But they're forgotten the additives bag a few times or forgot one the items in the bag yet are all around super cheap with the amount of sprouts and the size of lime wedge. We've spent 30 minutes driving back and forth there so its not like we can come back. To not get the hot sauce or hoisin and no bag at all is so frustrating as every component is needed to suffice my craving. Beware ordering multiple pho's they combine the additives into one bag and the portions are even worse. read more

Mouth full of food), I asked for a table to be cleared, I was told to "just wait!" No water offered, Pho was OK. For a Pho restaurant in Ladner they have done very well. In order to manipulate a small-town palette into enjoying something slightly more exotic than lemon chicken from Ming Court certainly takes talent! I think almost everyone I know who frequents Pho Saigon would agree that the best dish is actually the won-ton pho hybrid. It's delicious! The only animal protein I eat these days is fish, and typically that limits me, but not here. They offer vegetable broth soups and a number of seafood dishes. I usually stick to an order of veggie spring rolls and the shrimp croquette (which isn't a croquette at all, it's a skewer of deliciously marinated and grilled shrimp). For a gal like me who spent years living in East Vancouver, I find a lot of times I miss the diversity of culinary cultures at one's fingertips. Pho Saigon satisfies my need for something other than burgers and fries without me having to drive into the city. I love it! read more

Tried to place an order for takeout.... nearly impossible to understand. Asked if they serve green onion cakes (like every other Vietnamese place)...... guy then asked if i had the right number. Absolutely my favorite Vietnamese restaurant around. You can't beat Mona's soup. She makes it fresh everyday and goes to the market everyday to pick up her veggies. My girlfriend's and I go here weekly if not twice a week. The price is reasonable and the staff are friendly. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone! read more

I had the Bun Bo Hue and the noodles are wrong! They serve it with the rice vermicelli insteqd of the thicker round smooth noodle! The broth is uninspiring. Might as well head back to Richmond or into Vancouver for the best Pho or Bun Bo Hue. read more

Driving through Delta hungry and we came across Pho Saigon. Was surprised even to see viet there so didn't really expect much since it is Delta and all. The food was exactly as I thought, nothing that great and mediocre. Service was nice and quick - the waitress was funny at least. We ordered the vermicelli with spring roll and beef soup. Vermicelli was hot noodles - should be cold but the broth was good in the soup. The type of place to go if you are there and hungry but save that hunger and come to Vancouver for more authentic options. read more

Nice staff and clean, but the Pho is uninspiring and lacks flavour. Sadly this is the only place around Ladner /Tsawwassen area that serves it. The other dishes are just ok-the fresh roll is good, but their fried spring roll is the hi-lite and worth getting as an appetizer. Only go here if you're too lazy to venture into Richmond, vancouver or surrey and craving pho. read more

When I heard there was a Vietnamese place in Ladner, I couldn't wait to check it out! So finally after a few days, me and Will made our way over there for dinner on a Thursday night. I ordered the spring rolls on vermicelli, and Will had the Combo B with wonton soup, BBQ pork, a spring roll, and something else I don't remember- all served on vermicelli. Everything was hot, tasty, and served in a timely manner, the portion size was perfect, the waitress was super friendly, and the decor was cute. I wasn't a big fan of the vermicelli they use (the thin, scraggly, clear noodles, whatever they're called), but by no means did it ruin the meal. I also found the spring rolls weren't as flavourful as ones I've had elsewhere, but again it wasn't a deal breaker. That being said, I am still forever loyal to Pho Stanley in Delta, but when I am in Ladner, I will most definitely be coming to Pho Saigon to get my fix of pho. read more
