Recently, I have been visiting Ladner, Tsawwassen area for various purposes, meeting up with friends, walking with my dog at Centanial Beach, visiting the car wash at the Shell in Tsawwassen etc. Passing by the "Main St" of this lovely little town of Ladner, decided to try their Pho shop, since it is our first time here I have have absolutely no expectations. Our ordered items are as standard as can be: House Special Pho: Good broth to start with, not too salty and do have the necessary herbs in the background but not overwhelming. Can be a little bit more salty tho, added a dash of salt and it was much much better, the rest of the bowl was also done well, sliced beef steak still pink when presented and all other cuts were not dry and tough. Bun Bo Hue: I did noticed that some of the Yelper mentioned that this is not an authentic BBH, as it did not even have the right kind of noodles for this very regional dish, but I did see that on their menu it was mentioned that they use Vermicelli in this soup, also when I made the order the Server did mentioned to me again that it comes with Vermicelli, so I thought why not! I actually like it, it is a change from the "authentic" version. Soup again needs a bit of salt to enhance the flavour, but the herbs and taste of the broth itself was well balanced. The meats in the BBH were also very generous, overall, still a nice bowl of noodle soup, if you insist it is not the real BBH. The Fried Spring Roll also was well made and I like the savory filling that was still moist and not dried out, also the rice paper they use was crisp and not greasy, nice addition to your meal. The shop is pretty old fashioned in their design, but with all the newer Pho shops being modern and hip, it is a nice change to see the Pho shops of the by-gone days!!

As old school as you can get, even with the shrubs & decor and all. Well carpeted too, amazingly, no fish sauce smell in the air. Ordered my usual minced pork, no veggies amd more noodles, substitute the deep fried roll for the healthier prawn salad roll. With the amount of daily eating required for my occupation, gotta cut some corners lol One good thing about vermicelli, a bit more fine & rounder texture. Liked it actually. Pork is great, not too salty. Sufficient green onions & chopped nuts. Also special note about the service, was quite prevalent. Didn't take long to flag a server or so. Credit card ok. For the area, it is great but compared to Van, just a notch down. Still worth coming again.

Wrong type of noodles for Bun Bo Hue. Not authentic.

Good pho. Isn't the best I've had but a nice quick bowl . Servings are smaller and they don't have a house special which I always enjoy

The only one in Ladner. Decent food compared to other pho joints. The broth is bland and could use a lot more flavor. Not bad.

This was my second experience with a subpar bun dish. Sadness. First of all parking here is…read moreatrocious during the lunch hour. There are only 5 spots in front of this little strip mall and then the sign on their door says "parking in back." When I drove back there it was labeled a loading area for the party supply store next to the restaurant. There was also a huge sign painted across the fence stating "NO PARKING." I finally parked way down the street and walked over. When I asked the girl working there what the deal with the parking in back was, she went to ask the guy cooking in back. She seemed pretty clueless. Anyway I sat down and she came back to tell me I could park in one area just next to the black car back there, but only one spot is available. Some guys at a table nearby overheard and I could hear them saying "yeah, that's not a good idea. There isn't even room to turn around back there. Someone is likely going to wreck back there." Anyway, I was hungry so I ordered my usual grilled shrimp bun - added bonus were the spring rolls on top. I wasn't a huge fan of the garlic ginger satay on the shrimp skewers but it was edible. The disappointing factor was the vermicelli noodles all clumped together. The fish sauce did nothing to alleviate the problem and the noodles seemed to soak the sauce right up - a good indicator that your noodles are way too dry! On top of the food just being meh, the decor in the restaurant looked like somebody's Grammy got sick and their grandkids took over running the biz. Writing all over the walls in marker really brought the class down in this place. The only girl working there in front was also wearing a see-thru button up shirt tied at the waist with a black bra, belly ring, and tight Lulu yoga leggings. Not something I want to see at lunch. The odd pairing of apparel went right along with the decor of the place. Needless to say, avoid this place. There are too many other good options in BC to waste your time here.

Stopped in for a quick lunch before heading out on the ferry to Victoria. Restaurant is clean,…read morebright and staff were friendly. We ordered their house special - Phở Đặc Biệt (beef, brisket, tendon, tripe, and beef balls). Good flavor and served hot. We also had the Gỏi Cuốn Thịt (fresh spring rolls with ham, shrimp, noodles and lettuce served with peanut sauce). We also tried the Cánh Gà Chiên (fried chicken wings with salt and garlic) - this was really good! Our server was very friendly, courteous and we appreciated his honesty when we asked about the slushees. He told us it was powdered so we opted for soda instead. Overall, great place for Vietnamese food or for when you are looking for a quick meal to and from the ferry.

No frills PHO place in Tsawassen!…read more Perfect spot for a hot steaming bowl of PHO after a 2 hr ferry ride. Only 5-10mins from the ferry terminal. Fast and efficient service. One of those places that you walk up to the counter, order and pay at the same time. Pho was good. Broth was a bit on the lighter side, but still good nonetheless. Nice, bright, and spacious! High ceilings. Place had some interesting stuff like avocado shake! Lol. You walk in and you can immediately smell the broth brewing in the back. Beef was very tender and quantity of servings were great! Washrooms were clean and well maintained. Closes early at 730pm but last call at 715pm. You can stay oast 730, as long as your order is in by 715pm. Cheers! Happy eating! Would surely repeat when in the area.

(Kari's Rating 9.5/10)…read more Came with a group of 8 at 8:45pm and were seated immediately. The food came out lightning fast, everything is superb! I know she was doubting the authenticity at this place, but it absolutely blew me away-and I'm Asian. I ordered a bit off menu with the beef pho with a lemongrass broth and thicker noodles. We ordered three plates of the spring rolls and they were some of the best springs I've ever had in my entire life. They're crispy and not mushy inside, paired with the hoisin sauce absolutely delicious!! The persons are absolutely massive, so you're probably gonna end up taking something home, in which they will charge $.50 for a takeout container, but it is definitely worth it. I would genuinely come back if I can and I'll be forever thinking about this place. The Trung special soup was one of their specials, and it has a uniquely smoky flavor, which gave a lot of depth to the broth. The lemongrass chicken vermicelli plate was also delicious, it did need a little bit of hoisin and spice seasoning to lighten it up, but a very delicious meal with the pickled vegetables.

We got the chao tom (shrimp paste on sugarcane skewers) and the bun cha ca (fish cake noodle soup). Service was quite fast and we got our food shortly after ordering. The chao tom was served over a bed of vermicelli salad which was really nice as we were expecting just the skewers. When you bite into the skewer, it release a bit of sweet acidic flavour as it's made from sugar cane. I am so glad I tried this and will definitely be ordering it again in the future! The bun cha ca had an interesting taste and while I wasn't a big fan of it (there was a very strong dill taste), the portion was really big and I was happy with the experience of trying it. Overall, Pho 37 consistently impresses me with their food and I understand why they're always busy with customers!
