Stumbling upon this location was worth it! It's a clean place and we were sat right away. Customer service is top notch as they were so nice! Came to take our order in minutes despite having full tables. The food was delicious and pricing not too bad at all. We want to return and try more of their menu options. All I'm gonna say is there's better spots around Sacramento. The service is good, the restaurant seems to be under construction and they had a swamp cooler so it was hot and humid in the restaurant. It's definitely not a spot you wanna be in the summer. read more

Not for me. Came here as a quick convenient meal after leaving the movies and it just did not hit the spot. The noodle texture was good, the meat was okay, and the side veggies they give you were fresh enough. But the biggest thing, the soup, just did not have the right flavors and was too sweet yet overly salted at the same time. Think this is more catered for American taste buds (which is not surprising considering the location). read more

Ordered a crispy egg roll and shrimp spring roll. We pointed the items on the menu. Comes out with grilled chicken spring roll and shrimp spring roll. Corrected the server and pointed at the item on the menu again and asked for crispy egg roll. Takes the grilled chicken spring roll and goes back. Time goes by.. comes out with crispy chicken wings..... serious need of communication correction here... read more

Really disappointed I have to give this place a 2 star. The pho was good. I enjoyed the flavorful broth. And unlike other places they still give you tripe. The spring rolls were great. The sauce is great. I didn't eat the lemongrass chicken but was told it was great. But unfortunately that was the only good thing about it, the rest of the experience was extremely frustrating. --- First. This is a restaurant that has been in business for many many years with atleast one other restaurant sharing the name. Why in 2026 do you not have a website or even utilize an easier online ordering system? The only options are things like DoorDash and grubhub which has an upcharge. It lists $20 for a medium. A joke. So instead of that. I called in for a pick up order. There's no menu so I used yelp photos and just said what I wanted. The person taking the order misheard me 3x. I asked to read back my order 3x. They were wrong each time. I had a pretty big order. 7 special pho. 2 pork and shrimp spring roll. 1 lemongrass chicken. He initially thought I said one of each. Then thought I said just pho. Then thought I said 3 pho. When we finally got the order right. He gave me an order number and hung up. I get there. I go to the counter. Give them the number I had. The cashier says few minutes. That's fine. Big order I expect wait time. He leaves. An older gentleman comes up. He presses the menu really fast and skips through the screen that shows what I order. He rings the total and says this is your total. No confirmation of what Im being charged for. I asked to go back to the prior screen to confirm my order. And he says "he already told you on phone" I asked nicely to go back to the last screen. He does a big humph and blows air like he's upset. I considered walking out cause this is some total crap. It is not that hard to click the back button and go to the last screen. It's not pulling teeth. He reluctantly did and let me view to confirm. I got my food and went home. Will I come back? Only if others I'm with chooses to come back. Why I enjoy the food. The terrible ordering and terrible customer service is despicable. read more

Second time here, I came back to give them a second chance but definitely not coming back! I walked in and did not get greeted and no smiles even though I smiled at them. I tried to ask a question and I was told "hold on that table was first" and walked away and then a man came out with a tablet who then walked to me and said "ok what do you want?" NO SMILES and they just look irritated!! read more

Service was slow. We sat at our table a good 20 minutes before they took our order. They took orders at tables that arrived after us. We had to flag a waiter down to say we were ready. Good size restaurant with plenty of seating. There was no line, but it still took them a while to seat us. Food was standard, nothing screamed over the top for me. I ordered the Vermicelli will grilled pork and eggroll, and I also ordered Shrimp spring rolls. Grilled pork was a little dry. read more

I'm delayed in posting this review because I wanted to make sure that it wasn't just a few off days this Restaurant was having. I always loved their combination special pho and their bun wasn't too bad. I really love that. They had the roll your own fresh spring rolls that I think they call Angel rolls for some reason. I have to say that it was a good run even when they were being closed down for cockroaches and other violations I would go right after they're closed because I know they're clean at that time but now I really cannot recommend eating here and I have no desire to return because of the fact that soup that pho soup base seems to have changed and prices have really gone up. I have been ordering the same few dishes for over 10 years and noticed huge drop in flavor of pho base and not happy last 10 months. And with the constant closures, just got a wonder. read more

I've eaten pho all my life and this is one of the worst I've had. The broth was too sour and only thing more sour was the customer service. Very rude attention from the male waiter. Needs a quick delicious pho restaurant for lunch. This place fulfills the requirements. The broth is clean and delicious. The service is quick if not a little gruff. I really wanted to love this place because the food is actually good. The pho is flavorful and everything we ordered tasted great. Unfortunately, the service completely ruins the experience. This was our second time coming back because we wanted to give them another chance and see if things had improved, but sadly, it was the same situation. Our order was taken incorrectly, items were forgotten, and we had to repeatedly remind staff about things we were still waiting on. It just felt very unorganized and inattentive. What really disappointed us was that an automatic tip was added to our bill because we were a group of 8, but there was no sign posted and no one informed us ahead of time. We were absolutely planning to tip, but automatically adding gratuity without notice feels very unprofessional and not transparent. Great food, but the service seriously needs improvement. read more

Never really liked this place but we go here sometimes after the movies or Arden mall shopping. I always thought the food was okay but expensive. Today, it was confirmed. I ordered bun bo hue and it was just beef pho with round noodles and a little chilli oil. No lemongrass sate, hammock or pork of any kind. Even the vege toppings were just bean sprouts. It was $16 for large but more like med. Wife got grilled chicken vermicelli. That was okay but just mediocre. I'll give it 2 stars though because the service was okay. The young kid was friendly and brought refilled water and extra napkins. Not sure what happened this place. read more

We came to grab lunch on Saturday afternoon and the place was busy but the service was quick. Our orders were taken right away and food came out in less than 10 minutes. I do wish they would've brought appetizers out first but funny enough, our entrees arrived before the apps. Their menu is so big and have everything your basic Vietnamese restaurant offers. We shared the salt and pepper calamari and it was yummy! I ordered the shrimp chow fun and the portion was huge. It was practically family style. lol the noodles were a little too sweet for my liking. I think the oyster sauce was a bit overpowering. My husband had the pork and egg roll vermicelli and this portion was also large. He really enjoyed the flavor on the pork. It's a little more expensive here. Entrees are from $16-$20+ dollars. My shrimp chow fun was $18. . .the most I've ever paid for pan friend noodles. I'm assuming the high prices are due to the location. read more

The pho saigon special is absolutely delicious! I've been looking for a good pho place in sac for 4 years and this is by far the best i've had. The broth is super flavorful and the meat portions are really generous! Definitely recommend especially the brisket they put in the pho saigon special is sooo tender! I don't understand the bad reviews, service is what you would expect from older asian people and shouldn't be seen as rude. We get taken care of pretty quickly. Food is always good. The portion of noodles is bigger compared to the broth. The reason why I gave 2 stars is because the last couple times I have come the service is terrible. The older employees maybe they are owners give attitude and walk away in the middle of you speaking. I asked for extra napkins and he walked off saying you have napkin. He was correct I had one piece of napkin. It was not enough. My previous visit I ordered the xxlarge pho and the lady didn't want to let me order it. It was frustrating because I will just take my left overs why do you care what I order? I am paying for it. As good as the food is, I will take my business elsewhere where they don't give attitude. Service is slacking. We weren't greeted, just told where to sit. We had a couple questions about the menu. The woman trying to take our order was clearly irritated about us being in the restaurant, tried to rush us, huffed, then abruptly told us she'd come back. Luckily an older gentleman took over for her. He was over the work day but still polite. Made up for the experience. The food was yummy. Ordered 2 beef pho bowls with well done steak and brisket to-go on my way back from an out of town trip. All to-go orders only come in the large size. Other bowl sizes are served for dine-in only. I didn't realize I had a pho spot so close by. This is located in the HBA Plaza behind Burlington. The restaurant is huge with lots of dining room space and was pretty busy for a Sunday evening. My food was made and packed to go within 15 minutes. I like their to-go set up with the noodles, protein, and add-ins on the side in a to-go box and the broth in its own container. This stopped my noodles from getting soggy before I was home. The broth is very good, with a nice level of umami. The portion was huge and I was actually able to go two meals out of the one, so I would say the price is excellent. read more

Terrible service. I've been here a couple times because it's close to my house. I've felt a weird energy and I didn't want to assume it was because I was black. I just figured certain people don't have the best customer service. I know that when I go inside though I don't get acknowledged. I have to get someone's attention and my food takes much longer sometimes. Today I came in and ordered my food as soon as I sat down. About 15 minutes later a Vietnamese family walked in to eat. I had already been seated for 15 minutes. The guy ordered the same bowl I ordered and his brought out before mine. I just felt so disrespected I walked out. I can't give me money to people who don't respect my money. I recommend black people specifically should not go here. read more

Vietnamese restaurant serving the essentials (pho, rice and other simple classics of Vietnamese cuisine) in the Arden area of Sacramento. It's best if you just go for the PHO and not waste your time on the other dishes. Food: Pho dac biet (beef combination)- 5/5 - the favorite go-to dish featuring generous portions, clear savory broth, delicious quality cuts of meat and fresh veggies Pho ga (chicken) - 5/5 - slices of white meat with delicious savory broth and perfectly textured pho rice noodles Mi thap cam VS. hoanh thanh thap cam (combination proteins with or without wontons) - 5/5 - generous portions with variety of protein Bun bo hue - 2/5 - no need to try this! Not aromatic, lacking the proper herbs and spices. Even lacking the cuts of meat and pork sausage. Hu tieu xao thap cam (chow fun combination) - 3.5/5 - good but could use more of the protein. Done differently than Chinese chow fun. Canh chua ca (sour soup with fish) - 3/5 - they freaking forgot to make it sour like WTF sour soup had all everything perfect including the fish and all the essential vegetables but no tamarind seasoning at all (which they likely forgot) Ca kho to - 4.5/5 - pretty good, but the seasoning was a bit too strong in saltiness and sweetness; white rice and eating with sour soup allows this to be partly neutralized though Sinh to bo (avocado smoothie) - 5/5 - perfect balance of sweet and creaminess Sinh to dua (coconut smoothie) - 5/5 - same as above Salted lemonade soda - 5/5 Ambience: Recent expansion to neighboring suite makes it very spacious Service: Fast, no complaints read more

Food is zero stars... Pho should be their #1 dish, but the soup broth was very disappointed. My boyfriend ordered #14 beef pho, and I ordered Bun bo hue. The pho was nothing to brag about. It was decent, light, and not as flavorful as it should be. The Bun bo hue was worse. Don't order this dish here ever. It was served with poor slices of beef that tasted old and hard to chew. The tendons were still very hard, dark beef meat smelled bad, and the only meat that tasted as it should was the meatballs... but the normal Bun bo hue doesn't usually have meatballs in it!!!! Lol. This was the 1st time that I couldn't finish my Bun bo hue bowl. I was disappointed and now will have to go elsewhere to redeem good pho somewhere else. If you've ever wondered what dinner with a side of phone harassment tastes like, listen to this. My friends and I sat down and ordered our food. The older female server brought out a plate of egg rolls that we hadn't ordered. She insisted that we had, but I said no, and she brought them back to the kitchen in a huff. Did she read my name off my credit card and Google my professional contact info? Because later that evening, this message was left on my work voicemail: "Huuuaaah! You ordered the egg roll! Come pick up your order, you f*cking đụ má." The downside of this experience: below-average food for dinner; phone stalking and verbal harassment for dessert. The upside: learning how to say m*ther f*cker in Vietnamese. read more

I've been coming to this place every week for the past month because the pho is really good. But repeatedly, the front desk staff (an older gentleman) has made our visits unpleasant. Each time we ask for extra chili oil or additional veggies (we've offered to pay) he replies rudely "No. That is all you get." He even insists, "I already put some in the box for you," which clearly isn't true. It's extremely frustrating to make a place our regular spot, enjoy the food, and still feel unwelcome because of consistent, rude service.
