    Fried Chicken Wing and Gyoza

Great fast casual Vietnamese cuisine. The fresh spring rolls were ok. I felt like they were stuffed with too many noodles-- I would've enjoyed a little more veggies and less noodles so they're a bit more proportional and balanced. The fried calamari pieces were thick and dense. Although the pieces were fried, they weren't very crispy but I still enjoyed the solid pieces of squid. The noodle soups came in large bowls filled with fairly large portions. Definitely more than a fist full of noodles in each bowl. Everyone felt satisfied and still had leftovers to take home. I enjoyed the vermicelli with lemongrass pork chop with the mixed in bean spouts, lettuce, carrots, & basil. I liked that the basil was not overpowering-- you could actually taste other flavors in addition to the basil! The peanuts gave it additional texture & flavor too! The service was friendly. I liked the convenience of ordering from the kiosks and picking up the orders when ready from the counter. The food was presented really well. I enjoyed taking pictures of the dishes. The staff members were generous with extra containers and bags for leftover food. I really liked the decor. Simple but stylish. The posters reminded me of vintage letterpress prints of Vietnamese images. I really liked the minimalistic style and how the old cultural images were bold and contemporized. I will definitely come back again!

i tried my hand at dine-in this time and i was not disappointed. the food was excellent here!! the restaurant is a self serve upon walking in, you can order in person or at the kiosk. i haven't seen kiosk ordering for a dine in anywhere else so this seemed really efficient and good to see the option food: -their pho is HUGE and broth is pretty good. -the grilled beef vermicelli noodle dish is also one of our go-to orders -but my all time favorite dish here is their shrimp papaya salad. it is so citrusy, flavorful and delicious! i keep coming back here for this dish alone service: -super friendly staff -could be a pro or con for some people this place has self serve utensils, water, extra bowls, etc. i personally like not having to flag down wait staff. location: lots of parking.. this place is next to a panera and among several other restaurants in front of meijer.

3.5 rounding up to 4. We came by this restaurant while we were in the area for lunch. Upon walking in, they have someone behind the register along with kiosks for you to order yourself if you would like. Since it was our first time there we decided to peruse the kiosk and look at the pictures as we decided. We ended up with the beef skewers and the spring rolls to start and bought got the house special pho to enjoy. The portions were huge and enough for more than 1 meal. To start the spring rolls were rolled fresh, the only gripe I had was that the sauce, generally a peanut sauce is a bit thicker but this sauce was super watered down and we really couldn't taste much. The beef skewers were huge, and could've used a longer marinade in the lemongrass as it was a bit bland as well. Maybe also making them 4 smaller skewers instead of such big pieces could also help with the dryness. The pho was so big, there were tons of noodles and had j have know it would be so big I might've ordered the extra protein to have more for the portion I did take home. But for $15 you do get the amount you should. We also ordered 2 drinks, a Thai tea and a mango smoothie which they forgot to make but after a quick reminder they made it and brought it out. The walls were decorated with posters that showcased Vietnamese culture as well as the fun wicker light fixtures. Keep in mind for service you will hear them call your name and you need to go up to the counter and grab it yourself. Be careful though because the bowls are pretty heavy and full. All in all we had an okay experience, and are glad we tried it.

I'm always a bit skeptical of fast casual Vietnamese spots both inside and outside malls because of the generally worse food quality that I've experienced while eating at these establishments versus full service sit-in. Pho Plus may have changed that perception with food that I'd definitely have again. Some of the areas in which Pho Plus improves upon similar experiences are that the decor is simple yet attractive, making for a more pleasant dining experience. The kiosk was large and very easy to use - I've seen tablets at most other similar spots, which didn't always have the most friendly interface. Space is very ample, even large enough to bring a group of friends to dine together. Water is served from a machine with clean metal cups (rather than pour from a pitcher into styrofoam cups). You are given real bowls and plates, with real utensils. Finally food is served in larger than average portion sizes with reasonable prices, and the presentation is fairly good. Food was overall quite good. The weakest item for me was the egg roll, which I wish was a bit more crispy and had a bit more flavor -- but with enough fish sauce, this didn't rather much. The House Special Pho really hit it out of the park with very generous amount of noodles and a generous amount of protein as well that easily can be split into another meal. Sometimes I see this with only beef and meatballs, so I was happy to see some beef shank, tendon, and tripe here as well. The tendon was quite tender, even in the afternoon portion which I really appreciated. The broth was also quite flavorful for a version found outside the city, though maybe a bit more herb heavy than meat heavy. Still, I found myself finishing every bit of it. The grill lemongrass chicken rice dish was delicious as well, with fresh tomatoes, carrots, and cucumbers. The meat was tender and not overmarinated, with a good simple char flavor. Similarly the Vermicelli Grilled Beef Noodle Salad bowl was large and delicious as well. I particularly liked the "bouncy" texture of the noodles and how the different elements (ground peanut, basil, cucumber, bean sprout, carrot, lettuce, etc.) all matched well together to give a perfect balance of sweet and savory. This wasn't the best version of the dish I've had, but it again had a generous amount of protein, and the generous portion size for the price makes it something I'd order again - particularly if I'm trying to eat a bit healthier but also looking for something more flavorful than a standard salad. Overall, this is probably one of the best Vietnamese options in the area with an overall comfortable and spacious restaurant with nice decor. The prices are very good with generous portion sizes to match. Though not the most amazing in terms of flavor, this is still one of the best in this area of the suburbs.

5 stars for Pho Plus! If you like Vietnamese food or are interested trying it, you for sure have to come to Pho Plus. It is pricey, but the portions are absolutely massive. You can easily have a lunch & dinner from one meal here. Everything is authentic and very fresh. We tried the Pho Shrimp Rice Noodle Bowl and the Beef & Shrimp Skewer plate which came with a rice and salad - absolutely delicious. The mango strawberry fruit tea was also very tasty. My only complaint is you will get charged a small "service charge" on their machines where you order food. Highly recommend this restaurant if you get the chance - there is plenty of seating inside if you want to dine in and they make your food pretty fast - quick service!

Pho Plus is a great Vietnamese restaurant. You can order at the counter or the self service kiosk. When the food is ready, your number is called and you can go pick up your food. My husband and I ordered the pho and vermicelli salad. Everything tasted super fresh and healthy. The portion sizes are huge and we ended up taking about half of the food home. There are plenty of tables and seats to eat inside the restaurant. I look forward to coming back and trying more of their menu.

Pho plus Another self serve pho place. We were hungry so we decided to drop by. Besides the best pho places were too far away. Clean. Pho broth was good. Huge portions! Did not even finish mine. Huge meatballs. Everything was good. Just did not like picking up my food and taking it back to the kitchen. I gave them $10 tip too. My mistake. No tip next time. Highly recommended

Casual pho diner in Rolling Meadows. Order at the kiosk, grab a seat the pick up at the counter. Food is good, we had Beef special pho Grilled pork platter Grilled chicken noodle dish Everything was in large portions and tastes good. Clean spot, open prep kitchen so you can see your food getting prepared. Nice, no-nonsense staff. I wanna try the boba next time.

A little treasure this place is I found it on a work route and have stopped every two weeks when I'm in the area ! The food quality is always great and the two ladies are always pleasant to me and my husband and fast with helping get my order as I have to go back to work right away we will make this a usual stop cause it's the best ! Great place and amazing crew

I checked out this new spot and had a pretty solid experience. I ordered the rare beef & shank beef with rice noodles and fresh spring rolls. My friend got the rare beef with rice noodles and a side of pork chop. The noodle portion was generous! I usually finish my noodles, but this time, it was hard to. The soup was decent, though it didn't quite have that oomph I hoped for. It wasn't bad, but it didn't stand out. The service is self-serve here: you place your order at a kiosk, then pick up your food when it's ready. When you're done, you return your trays to the side of the counter. The interior is clean and simple. I'm excited to have a new option nearby and will return to fix my pho cravings.

I love pho, so I was super excited when I saw a "Pho Plus" sign appear over the storefront of the old Five Guys. Every time we drove by, I would look over to see if it had opened yet, and now - it has! And I have been back twice already. So, not only is it pho closer to home, but it's *good* pho, too! I have so far tried the pho tai (my go-to pho), the beef noodle pho (where the cut of meat is a little tougher), the beef salad, crab rangoon, and taro bubble tea. Everything we tried was really good, but the pho tai is still the best pho pick, IMO. The beef salad is pretty different than what I'd usually get from a Thai restaurant (never had the Vietnamese iteration before), but still tasty. Crab rangoon received high marks from my husband, and he is a bigger fan of those than I am, so probably worth an order if you are a fan, too. The taro bubble tea was tasty, and the boba were overall good flavor and texture-wise, though there were a few overly dense ones in the bunch. The restaurant has a water dispensing machine that you can use to fill up a provided metal cup - overall, this combination lends to the water having sort of a machine-y flavor. FYI. If I could change one thing, I wish they might offer the pho in a smaller size, too, because the one size they do offer is the humongous bath tub size you often get at pho places. I love pho, but my stomach can only hold so much! Oh, and maybe one more thing - I always adore a good banh mi, so if they were to add banh mi to the menu eventually, I would have to give them at least ten stars. ;) Finally, do note that the restaurant is a little self-service. You place your order at either a touch screen or the counter. We've only ordered at the touch screen so far. If you go that route, you enter your cell number to be texted when your order is ready, though we've pretty much just taken note of when they are placing our stuff on the tray and gone up to get it. Once we've finished eating, we've just bussed our own table (bringing trays and dishes to an area near the back), at which point a staff member is standing by to wipe down your table for the next guest.

Tried Pho Plus today for the first time. Came in for a later lunch and the place was pretty full which was a great sign. Ordered at the counter, full counter service. Took a little longer than expected but fully worth it! Portion sizes were huge and broth was so flavorful. I got the house special and my sister got the pork chops honey sausage and egg which came with 2 chops. Also had the spring rolls and crab Rangoon. Open seating and very clean!

I also like their Taro bubble tea, which was pretty standard. For carryout order, it usually takes about 20 minutes from the time we phone in, which is not bad. Another go to is #25, the Bun combo shrimp, lemongrass pork, and egg roll. Pour that same sweet sauce over this noodle and mix! It's mixed with chopped lettuce which makes the dish a room temperature meal. Noodle and meat/shrimp/eggroll are hot, but the lettuce is cold. Since the first bowl of beef pho that did not totally meet our expectations, we had been ordering chicken pho from them. Their grilled chicken has always been smooth and cooked nicely. This time I wanted to give their beef pho another chance, and see how it would compare to those that I had in Vietnam, and hope that they have made some improvement over two and a half years. The broth still tasted good and not too salty, though. The chicken pho and egg roll were still good. I was the only one to eat it, so ended up being my main dish. It was good, with thick noodles...just wish it had more seafood. Salt & Pepper Smelt ($16.90) - not sure if always available, but this was excellent...my favorite dish and one that I finished once I realized that everybody had their fill. It really depends on the quality of the smelt, which was excellent in this case. It was lightly battered, and carefully deep fried. Other dishes enjoyed by others: 2 Salt & Pepper Prawns - $35.90 - large head-on shell-on prawns fire wokked. Salt & Pepper Tofu ($11.50) - for the vegetarians Chicken Skewers (4) - $8.75 - tender and shareable Walnut Shrimp ($19.90) - mayo with shrimp Young Chow Fried Rice ($12.50) - fried rice is a necessity for our group Mongolian Beef ($17.50) - a classic 2 Sesame Ball (4) - $7 - a great way to finish a meal. 18% tip was automatically added, and service was OK throughout. Our water was kept refilled, and I think hot water was as well. It was a good meal and opportunity to get back together

We've eaten here many times in the past and had a good experience. This visit was poor at best!…read morePlease note: (ALL PICTURES ARE FROM MY PREVIOUS VISITS NOT TO THIS VISIT) Unfortunately this visit is going to be the last time. Both the service and quality of food has gone way down from what they were famous for. The waitress spilled my tea, also dipped her finger in my tea, had no apology or offer to exchange it with a fresh cup. I had to ask her for a fresh cup of tea. Then the other server that brought our entrees spilled my husbands tea and again no offering to getting a fresh cup. We had to ask AGAIN for a fresh cup! While the portions were generous, the quality of all the food has gone way down. The special family recipe of thier shrimp dish Gan Pong is nothing but fried shrimp with dried chili peppers and no flavor. The Hunan spicy beef and chicken appeared to be all globs and sticky because of excessive and over use of corn starch used during the cooking process. This dish didn't have any unique flavor that one would expect. Previously we had experienced a difference in the food, taste and quality and that's what kept us returning. Sadly, after this experience I wouldn't recommend it to anyone or come back! I'd rather stick with Yu's Mandarin than drive to this place! Quality always wins over quantity in my books!
