I went on March 2, Friday 2018. It was the first & will be the last time I go! In fairness, I am not a huge fan of Vietnam style food. I went cause my brother was wishing. Nevertheless, I entered & was not greeted. It took an awkward amount of time to be acknowledged & seated. There was no music playing, which would have been better. We ordered the food. The appetizer came & I did not like the way the egg rolls tasted. We waited 30M for our main meal. My brother received his main course, but I had to wait an additional 10M! When I received it, it was steak & noodles. It was pretty good, but nothing special. The steak was meager & for $15, almost $20 tipped, it wasn't worth it. They were understaffed with a full house. There was 4 employees servicing about 11 tables. Grand it, they were working hard, so this may just be poor management. It wasn't a great experience. Let me first start off by saying that the food was wonderfully delicious. I really enjoyed it and want to go back. Why three stars? Why haven't I gone back when I work nearby? The first and only time I have gone here, I had a delicious sandwhich and my wife had some pho. We picked it up to eat at home. When we had gotten home and started to eat, my wife noticed that the herbs (culantro, basil, etc) that come on the side contained what appeared to be a live caterpillar. First, I'm Vietnamese.... It is very hard to find a good Vietnamese restaurant in the area and this place is legit. The pho and summer rolls are very good. The banh mi is excellent. Owner is rude and lies about what his menu's pictures show and the verbiage as well... false advertisement. they don't understand adding an S to the end of items means more than ONE... egg rollS would indicate more than one egg, right? Wrong! Not at pho lavie... not only does their picture show the meal with TWO egg rolls but how it's described INSIDE the menu also says "grilled pork and egg ROLLS... but when I asked why I only received one egg roll he become very rude and had no idea what i was talking about as if i was wrong and didn't understand what my eyes saw in the picture and what I read with the wording. Place just opened up for about a week now. So glad that this is the only Vietnamese restaurant near my house. When I entered the restaurant, it is very clean looking and there were about couple staffs running the table. Food is great and they have a variety of Vietnamese desserts. Found 2 long hairs in bowl of pho. When brought to attention of the server, this A hole said "if you don't like why don't you tell me"! He asked to see the hair, which my wife had already discarded. The food was excellent! I've been back twice now since eating there. My Vegetarian Pho was the best I've had and very filling. My husband ordered a pork dish that was also very good. The only reason I gave them 4 instead of 5 stars is because the food took long and when I went that was due to being short staffed so I hope that will be solved soon. If you go on a busy day aka weekend night, you may wait but it's worth it. Just be aware this may be an issue. We will certainly be back soon. read more

This was my first introduction to pho and I cannot wait to go back. The location is unassuming and the interior is nothing special but the wait staff was attentive and helpful in making my choices. My boyfriend and I ordered take out. And we loved the soup. We had beef soup. And we ordered the garlic noodles with chicken and they were great. There were a few things not awesome. We tried to get a sandwich but they were out of bread?!? Then they forgot our summer rolls and I had to drive back to get them. Then I got back home and the summer rolls I drove back to get were bad. The shrimp was off. We had to throw them away. Luckily we had the beef rolls. But NO peanut sauce. Which is the best part. Where they out of peanut sauce too? Without the sauce they were dry and terrible. And now I am out 15.00 dollars for inedible food and I am still hungry. I am so disappointed, but I had to give them three stars for the soup. This is the best Vietnamese I've had in South Florida. It's in a nondescript strip mall (of course) and it's so new that there is still no sign, but the food is delicious and authentic. Since moving to South Florida 3.5 years ago and frequenting PHO on Atlantic for many years prior with every trip to South Florida. I have a Love affair with that Giant Vietnese bowl of YummyNess. However, Pho on Atlantic has changed BigTime over the last year but, still worth the ride for me even from Lighthouse. Now, fast forward 2 months ago and I see basically on my corner the have open this Vietnamese Pho Lavie. The very 1st time No shrimp chips, but, a Wonderful portion of Filet Mignon and Onions and NO EXTRA charge for fried rice. 2nd, time Good portion of Filet and No shrimp chips Today, lol and NO EXTRA CHARGE for fried rice. 3rd, 4th and 5th time pick up Only 2 Healthy Summer Rolls. Normal size Tonight the 6th time literally half the size Plus the EXTRA $2.22 for Fried rice and Much Less Filet Plus, NO FREGGIN SHRIMP CHIPS. The know my face.
