Shrimp Pho and I added steamed vegetables.
    Julie T.

This was my Pho experience and it did not disappoint! It's surprisingly really cute inside for being at the end of a strip mall but they've done a really good job with the decor & music. We went for lunch and there was a lot of people in there! It appears to be a family ran business so the service was a bit slower but I have empathy for that. The Pho broth was so good and hot! The portions are very large and they have sauces on the side to add if wanted like more fish sauce, hoisin and spicy chilis. Looking forward to my leftovers today!

It's very easy to give a place like this five stars... I stirred it up ordering the spring rolls know as you know the area I live in California I'm either speaking Hindi or Vietnamese so today we're going to practice our Vietnamese I would recommend the spring rolls the next thing I would recommend after that is the pho nomenal bowl pho... This is only gonna take you less than seven minutes to get. Be careful order café sua da afterwards because it's gonna be a lot. The atmosphere is incredibly pleasant people enjoy themselves here. Every time I come to Boise I have to say this is one of my favorite places now Looking for food that's excellent and you want to spend less and $20 and still have money to tip? Then I think you should look here you'll find your answer.

    Killer Combo Bowl

I had heard mixed reviews and decided to check it out for myself. Overall, everything was just ok. Food: 3/5. The best item was the chicken wings. Everything else was just ok. I got the killer combo bowl. The shrimp was good. The meat, egg rolls, and cilantro were not cut enough. I got the peach iced tea to drink and that was pretty good, but I feel it was overpriced for what it was. Service: 4/5. There was one main gentleman that handed us menus and took our order. He was very nice and had good recommendations. He said that the vegetarian spring rolls would take a few minutes but they came out quicker than expected. Once it got a little busier, there was only the one man doing everything which took some time. Atmosphere: 4/5. The restaurant was very clean and bright. I was confusing if we were supposed to order up front or sit down first. There were signs saying to order up front but then the man up front handed us menus and told us to sit down and took our order while seated. Some people he had order up front while others he took their orders while seated. Kid friendly: 3/5. We didn't take our little one this time, but did notice a kid menu item of "baby pho". There were not any kids while we were there, but I think it would be an ok setting for kids.

Our first visit after so many recommendations, and positive reviews on Yelp. We followed all the rules. (1) Went to the counter to order (2) Reviewed the menu, ordered, and picked out a table Our order came with its sides but there was no aroma. I was expecting to inhale all the deliciousness from my bowl as well as my wife's bowl and yet there was nothing. The bowls were hot, not piping hot, and even though I asked for spicy, it was not spicy. I added about half a bottle of chili sauce from the table. My wife wanted more limes so I left the table and went to the counter to ask the young lady for more limes. She asked me how many and I told her about 3-4. I continued with my bowl, which was the P7. The online menus will say Vegan but the menus in the restaurant say vegetarian. I certainly hope that the owners and the staff know the difference as they are not the same thing. My wife had the P5 - Chicken I knew we were in trouble when she consistently played with her noodles which were different than my noodles. There is no explanation as to why one bowl gets a vermicelli noodle while another bowl gets a fatter noodle. I kept adding spicy chili sauce and my wife kept waiting for the limes. SPOILER: The limes never arrived My wife took the rest of her bowl home and added some limes to it the day after and she didn't like it. I wish I took a picture of the menus when we were dining because they don't have the vegan callouts that exist on the menus online. The menu online is attached to this review. I wish the team at Pho Nomenal all the best but we will not be returning.

The pho was delicious, staff was friendly. The food took long to prepare but the staff was short staffed on a Sunday night. The restaurant did need a sweep, and mop but nothing that was necessary over the top. It was late and I think the staff was doing the best they could. I would definitely return!

Note I added fish hoisin Sriracha and soy sauce before this picture

Atmosphere ambiance whatever words suits you is clean and fitting for the amazing menu! They have glass noodles I purchased the beef pho extra meat and with the glass noodles 10/10 you can tell the broth is authentic super clean price and portions generous and fair the staff was above and beyond hate I didn't catch my servers name will stop if in Boise again would say this is the best I've had in the nation so far service was personable and fast!

Nice clean place. Simple furniture and wall art. About 3/4 of the tables were occupied on a Tuesday night. Not bad for a place that opened last week. Odering at the counter is not efficient since they ask for payment up front (including the tip). Everyone has to wait on the people in front of them to order, get a table assigned and then pay. This is done at the same station as they only have one cash register. Very poor first impression. Maybe that meets a cultural norm somewhere in the world, but it doesn't play well in Idaho. One star deducted. The order was filled quickly and delivered to our table. The photos captured the food. Hue Spicy Beef Noodle Bowl (Bun Bo Hue) and a Pork Rice plate. Both were very tasty. I prefer the thicker noodles that are traditionally in Hue soup. The soup was full of beef and tendon, but the broth was pretty average. One star deducted. The pork with the plate was nicely marinated and quite tasty. This is a vast improvement over the previous Pho restaurant but still lags behind the food taste and quality of Pho Nguyen in Garden City.

Vegan Pho (most places just put tofu to make it vegetarian, this place puts vegan "ham")

But I rolled my dice today and took my chances and decided to head in. I sat myself. My server was handling a table but came to my table after. Dropped off a menu but this girl knew that she wanted. I did notice that they have size options for their pho now. To be honest, they are pricey compared to other joints. And their portions sizes do run smaller as well. I went with the large chicken pho today. Mannnnnn, the bowl that came out was massive! It was piping hot! The broth was clear. It was sprinkled with cilantro and onion. It looked like a delicious bowl of pho. The broth was savory and rich. The noodles were cooked perfectly! It still had softness to it will a slight bite. I added the basil, Sriracha and a little extra fish sauce. It was hard for me not to consume all the broth. The amount of noodles you get as a large here is a regular bowl at other joints. Today was the right amount I needed. This bowl was warm on my soul. The chicken was tender and not overly cooked. You get a good amount of chicken breast. Sriracha and hoisin sauce is the perfect dipping sauce for the chicken. Today's visit and my last visit was black and white. My server did a great job taking care of me today. The venue is also decorated for fall which was fun! I am stuffed to the brim. I enjoyed every bite of my bowl today. Now that it's getting colder, I will be seeing myself here quite often. Looking forward to mu next big bowl!

We were instantly greeted. The gal that greeted us was our server. She let us pick the table we wanted to sit at. She grabbed us water and gave us a minute to check out their online menu. For dinner I was tempted to get a bowl of pho since it was so cold outside. But since I got pho yesterday I thought I'd order something different. Tonight's dinner choice was Vietnamese curry with fried tofu. My parents used to make this curry at their restaurant when I was younger. The smell and taste of it will always be a core memory for me. I remember the juicy chunks of chicken, potatoes and carrots in this beautifully crafted curry sauce. I was hoping for something similar. The bowl that was served to me was beautiful. The curry was golden. The sweet potatoes and carrots were vibrant in color. It smelled lovely. My first bite was delightful! It was fragrant in coconut, lemongrass and curry. It was very good! The curry was on the sweeter side as i continued eating it. I was only able to finish half. The curry did come with a lot of tofu! I believe the tofu was pre fried when it was purchased. It was good but wasn't fresh fried tofu. The baguette wasn't fresh. The bread didn't have the crustiness to the exterior of the bread. It was still good though. Compared to my last visit, it was night and day! Service was great! Food was good. The ambiance was casual but yet romantic. If you're looking for a good Vietnamese joint downtown, Pho Nouveau is a great local joint to try out.
