We left Universal Studios from a cold evening and needed some pho to get us warm!!! We located this place since it was the closest from where we were at. Solid spot for pho in North Hollywood. I've come here multiple times for takeout and dining in. In terms of the food, the namesake pho is awesome. I thought the broth is flavorful and rich, but not *too* mouthwatering like some more MSG heavy places. The large is a good size, albeit a bit on the pricier side compared to a Golden Deli or other traditional options. But hey, if you are in the area it's a great choice. There was more slices of meat than I expected- always a plus! The menu is also small compared to other traditional Vietnamese restaurants (no bun Bo hue... no Bahn mi...) but that's ok if they can get the pho right! The takeout experience is good- they keep the soup separate from the noodles but don't forget to heat it up at home before you pour it over any raw meat! I was a bit disappointed in the spring rolls- the filling is quite sparse, with very little vermicelli / proteins; not worth it in my opinion. Egg rolls were also on the small side. Unfortunately, you only get a small sprinkle of toppings (like 20 bean sprouts, lime wedges, a pinch of chopped cilantro - and no basil?? Blasphemous!) Super duper fast service and can honestly say if I'm in a deep need for pho, this won't disappoint. But I also have to mention that it's not really gonna shine either. It's a very accommodating baseline place that if they decided to make this an ATM pho macheeeeeeen, it will def work. They have the operations down to a T and they have your food ready in 10 mins- THATS solid. But as a one size fits all slam dunk, it lacks the shine I mentioned about. The price is high for the barebones you get. I can count the sprigs of greens I got and the appetizer mode of sprouts. The flavor is bland, and I was concerned that bullions did more for me than the broth I got. The noods were ample enough. Honestly, my favorite pho place near me. Found this gem on ubereats one night after studying for hours, and almost cried in relief at first bite. I never really took pictures of my delivery order but decided to actually drive out to the place the other day and ordered the house special small. Small is more than enough for me, I couldn't even finish it and took some home. If you were to get a large, it's enough to eat for two meals in my opinion. The soup is has a strong flavor and is super yummy and such a comfort food, especially since we're starting to get a bit cooler in LA. The inside is super clean and I think Pho Noho is more know for their take out because we were the only ones inside the place but from what I could see it was clean. I saw at least 6 people come in to pick up orders so you can say it's very popular. They are skimpy with the noodles: I ordered the chicken noodle soup. I asked the lady attending us if I could have more chicken and I showed her the amount of chicken I received. She didnt say anything to me and told the cook. She then came back and set some chicken on the table and didnt even acknowledged me. The place is clean and modern, but they are really cheap. They dont have a napkin dispenser, when they serve you they only give you one napkin. Really skeptical about a pho restaurant in NoHo. I was wrong. Since NoHo arts district is building a name for itself, there have been a lot of places popping up. Pho NoHo was one of them. I came by on a night were I've been feeling under the weather. Decided to try this place rather than my typical go to spots. There are a good variety of types of noodle soups to choose from as well as rice dishes and sides. One thing I really like about Pho NoHo is that you can buy just one egg roll or spring roll as they charge per piece. (but maybe I want the pair) On the flip side, this place does charge a little more than your typical Pho shops but their large bowl is HUGE. I do see the type of people they cater to so receiving a small dish with beans sprouts, 1 wedge of lime, a couple of jalapenos, and no thai basil is a bit stingy. If you don't know you don't know what you are missing. If you know whats up, just ask for more and they are happy to provide. Parking: street parking available in surrounding areas. I came here for a quick lunch before an appointment and it was yummy. Ordering was super easy and the people were really kind. I ordered the Pho Tai although I don't remember if I got a small or large because I'm pretty sure I ordered small but I feel like the bowl was so huge LOL. I was still able to finish it though. I think next time Id just ask for more bean sprout and onion but that is a personal preference. I've eaten here at this place since it opened and come quite frequently. Kay who I haven't seen so I'm assuming she's fairly new takes my order. I've got the same thing every time I have eaten there. Bbq chicken with a little less rice and extra pickle carrot/radish. Kay says to me we don't substitute food. I'm like I'm not substituting anything. I told her it's never been an issue in all the years I've come here. She says let me go talk to my boss in kitchen. She comes back and says we can give you no rice and just pickled carrots/radish. I'm like that makes no since! I asked her if I could talk to her boss she goes back into the kitchen and comes back out and said I've informed him. I'm like he can't talk to me? She's like I've informed him and he's quite busy. I couldn't order because if the owner can't even talk to a customer who's come there for years with the exact same order. This is my go to pho restaurant! Simple, delicious, and quick! I have never had a bad experience dining in or ordering for pick up. First off, be prepared for massive servings! The rice dishes also come in huge servings. The pho comes in either a small or a large. I always get the vegetarian broth as my base and it is tasty. I like the pho ga (chicken pho) the most! I feel like the broth in my Pho Nam was made by an enemy. I cannot imagine how this could've been made with the intention that someone would enjoy it. It tastes incredibly strange; it tastes like your usual beef broth, watered down by something that is made for external use only. That's not even to mention that the Snapple (a closed, bottled beverage, mind you) I purchased tasted nothing like a Snapple. On one hand, I like the idea of a trendy pho place in the middle of arts district but on the other hand, this is the only good thing about this place. This is not a full service pho restaurant and so the prices are very hard to justify - you order at the counter, find a seat, and then they bring you your food. This is probably one of the most expensive pho restaurants I've been to yet the food didn't deliver. I think it was about $13-14 for a bowl of pho, not including tax and tip. I was hesitant to try a new spot since the last new pho spot I tried was pretty bad. I'm glad I did though! Ordered over the phone and my food was ready by the time I arrived. I ordered the shrimp pho and it was delicious. I was upset with myself that I actually didn't get a large because I could have eaten more. They didn't include a lot of the sides, but I'm sure if I were to ask for more they would include. I looooove bean sprouts. The only reason why I wouldn't give 5 stars is that I did buy a pack of hostess cupcakes at the checkout counter and realized once I had opened to take a bite that the "best by" date was May 2020. I didn't go back to tell them, it was only a dollar. But I think keeping an eye out for things like that is important. Huge portions! 9.99 for an oxtail pho, $3 for a large Thai ice tea, $1.50 for each eggroll. This place is so good! The oxtail was easy to eat and very tasty. They separate the oxtail from the soup. You order up front and pay and they bring you your food once it's ready. The pho was really delicious and the size small was more than enough food for me. The soup was very tasty. The egg rolls were really crispy and seasoned perfectly. The Thai tea was delicious and they give such a big cup it's basically a large. I even tried their fried rice because my friend ordered it and it was really good just needed a bit more salt but I also really like salty food so it could be perfect seasoning for anyone else.
