Have been to Pho Nation a few times for both dine in and also for to go orders. Location is convenient as it's located inside a plaza with Chase ATM, Tasty Pot, Simply Thai, Burger King, Subway and some other restaurants, Sprouts and some other restaurants -- parking lot is available. You pay at the counter first, get seated wherever is available and they bring your order to you. What I like about Pho Nation is that this location is fairly clean, the noodles are good and so is the broth. What I don't like is the portions are very little, you get very little noodles and meats for the price that you pay. I've had portions for the same size elsewhere and it's much cheaper. I frequent this location when I'm in the area but it's not on my top list for Pho. You get a lot of broth but much less of everything else.
This seems to be a order at the counter service. After ordering they told us they had water and tea (hot and cold) in the house. Soon after the pho accessories were brought out. I had high expectation due to all of this but sadly I didn't enjoy any of the items we ordered. Here are the details. -Chicken pho: felt very salty rather than "flavor" -Vegetarian pho: of course worse flavor than chicken and that wasn't great either. Lot of mushrooms and sadly I barely ate it. - vegetarian egg rolls: felt very much like meat roll so so we asked worker and they said no it's not at the front desk rather than coming to look. Even if they may be right, I just wanted them to see what I thought. I eat meat and it tasted and felt like meat to me, which wasn't a compliment from a vegetarian that doesn't like the taste of meat. The Thai tea was okay and my partner liked the Vietnamese coffee.
Came in on a Monday night @8pm 3/30/26. Basically you either go to the register and order your food and be seated or you sit yourself and scan a QR code on the napkin dispenser and order from there. Placed my pho dac biet on my phone. Went to the self serve station to grab my drinks (choice of water or tea). The wait wasn't bad to get my food. Each person gets their individual tray of the bean sprouts, basil, lemon, jalapeño that has a small compartment for your dipping sauce which I think is cool! Pho was good but the brisket was a bit chewy. After finishing, moments later I felt there was a bit much of MSG because i usually have an allergic reaction when I consume too much even my husband said he felt it too. Staff just drop your food and leave. You want something you have to come up to the counter like it's a fast food restaurant. I will probably come back only to try their grilled pork rice plate only bc the customer next to my table had it and the smell from the grilled pork was good.
Nice Vietnamese restaurant located in a big plaza. There's plenty of parking which is great. The shop itself is large, clean, and has a good ambiance. For starters, this is a self dine in sort of place where you order up front or via your phone at the table. You have to grab your own water, condiments, etc. Service is pretty fast though but not a typical sit down restaurant. I got the pork chop broken rice plate and unfortunately it did not come with fish sauce. There was fish sauce at the table but it wasn't your typical fish sauce. I practically used half the bottle. The portion and pork chop was good, though. My husband got the pho with beef balls and brisket. It was good portion and the broth was delicious. Overall, I'll be back for fast and convenient Vietnamese food. Great location.
Food was extremely good. We got the veggie spring rolls 10/10 even the tofu was super tasty and the roll had a great crunch - peanut sauce was bangin too! I got the #2 (can't remember what it was) but it was a great bowl of pho 10/10 and it was huge for only $16 broth was velvety and rich and not too salty! The meat was tender and all the veggie toppings were super fresh. Wife got the grilled shrimp vermicelli bowl 9/10 the shrimp were incredible and the vermicelli was also great but I do feel like it could use a couple more vegetables in their like some mushrooms or something flavor was absolutely amazing but it does leave u wanting a bit more that's the only reason I won't give it a 10. For our little one we got the grilled chicken rice plate and WOW the chicken was grilled to absolute perfection 10/10 still juicy and tender but had a great char as well. Thai tea also gets a 10/10 everything you want in one place. Very happy everything we tried was top notch. Highly recommend
Okay, so there's a lot to unpack with this one. The first thing I noticed when I walked up was the sign on the door that said "Dine-In Self Ordering." When you walk in, you pick a table and use your phone to order. I was totally fine with that since it gave me the freedom to look at the menu for as long as I wanted. The only downside is that there's really no one to talk to if you have questions. There is a person at the register for to-go orders, but it felt a little awkward standing up to ask. Once we figured it out, we placed our order and waited. A food runner came by to clarify something because I accidentally typed a random word into the notes box, but it was quickly sorted out. We got our food within 10 minutes of ordering. My husband asked for two glasses of water (since that wasn't an option on the ordering system), and the server let us know it was self-serve. I don't mind serving myself, but I do think it's worth noting--since we seated ourselves, ordered ourselves, served our own drinks, and even cleaned up after ourselves, it didn't really feel like traditional table service. The only thing they did was bring out the food, so tipping feels a little different in that setup. Now, onto the food: I ordered the Combo Rice Plate #1. We loved the char and the sauce they used on all three proteins--chicken, pork, and shrimp. Everything was delicious, and the soup that came with the rice was super tasty as well. My husband ordered the #25 Short Ribs Rice Plate. Again, the char and sauce were spot on. He swapped the salad for extra rice, and they were generous with the portion. Overall, the food was a 10/10. We'll definitely be back to order more of their rice plates and to try the vermicelli plates as well.
This is my go to place for Pho and grilled chicken. This place is very nicely decorated , clean and just has that good vibe. Service is also prompt. Their Pho is really nice. I personally like veggie and seafood pho. Today I had grilled chicken rice plate. I love how they grill chicken. Very nicely done. Flavorful. Plate comes with broth , salad , rice and grilled chicken. Quantity is amazing !! Just FYI- they glaze chicken with some sort of BBQ sauce which tastes sweet to me. I think next time I'll skip that sauce. I enjoyed my chicken with lots of hot sauce on the side Overall I love this place and I recommend!!!
Pho Nation has a great, easy-to-navigate menu--both on the screens and the printed menu, which makes ordering simple and stress-free. The food was delicious, and the service was fantastic from start to finish. Plenty of parking available, and it's conveniently located in the same strip as Ranch 99. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to!
I love eating at this place due to its ample parking, comfortable seating and huge portions. My last order was the rare steak pho. When the bowl came out, my first thought was, "It's huge!" I confirmed that it was a medium even though it looked like a large. The broth was steaming hot, with ample pieces of beef and a lot of noodles. All the sauces like sirachi are at each table. You can order via the QR code on the table or at the counter. Service is good. The ambience includes ample modern seating with booths and tables which can accommodate larger groups and the dining area is spacious and clean. My other favorite dishes are the bbq chicken with rice noodles and shrimp spring rolls.
Great taste abundance of protein great flavors. Must check out this Pho Restaurant you won't be disappointed!
I wish I would've gotten the Bun. Someone got the combo bun and it he meat was delicious. Very well done and had a lot of food. The pho was not good at all. It lacked any depth whatsoever. The service was okay and they were attentive. I don't remember them refilling my drink or checking in, but that's typical of pho places.
I got the number 6. Rare Steak Pho Tai and 36. Thai Ice Tea total was around 23 bucks , I recommend it , I love the taste so flavorful , so far the best pho I've tired in the Bay Area , come try them out , customer service is awesome and friendly ! The 6. Rare Steak Pho Tai medium size was 15.95 and 36. Thai Ice Tea was 5.50
It's a good location with a large space and the staff was nice. The menu sounded good too and I was very interested in trying the pho with the flat noodles. Really wanted to like it, but I couldn't. The pho broth was not there. It didn't even taste like beef broth, I think it was mixed with a soy sauce or something? It's a very very dark color broth. The meat was clumped together, took some effort to separate the meat and push it back down into the broth to cook. Then last but not least, the flat noodles just didn't taste springy and fresh. Just wasn't smooth, more on the doughy side. I would NOT recommend the pho. Maybe the vermicelli or rice plate are better. The drink station was nice though.

Came by Sunday afternoon. You order and sit yourself were you like, as well as serving your self water and or tea. They have pho and mist traditional Vietnamese menu items. Only white steamed rice no other kind of rice. The pho bowls 1 size and huge. I ordered #1 combo pho. The broth was ok-not to flavorful. My complaint was the meatball- I bit into one that was full of fat and it really grossed me out! It was yellow looking fat in the middle of the meatball. I spit it out immediately. I was happy I ate this last. Lost my appetite after this. The spring rolls were good and dipping sauce. The chicken wings were super bland. You need to dip fully in sweet and sour sauce to add flavor. So definitely not gonna be my go to for pho. Service was fast and actually friendly and a very clean establishment just not great pho or chicken wings. read more

This place was previously a Sweethoney, so there are still some honeycomb designs on the wall; besides that, the restaurant is refurbished and brand new. Pho Nation is mostly self-serve where you'll have to order first, get a number, and then sit down. My friend and I came right after work, so the restaurant was completely empty, but the service was efficient since our food came out within minutes of ordering. Finally, the pho was fantastic; it's flavorful and is comparable to other Vietnamese restaurants I usually go to. read more
The bf and I had wanted to check out this restaurant for awhile. It's tough for me to give a thorough review on the place since I order whatever is vegetarian/vegan so I'll cover what we both thought. I ordered the Pho Tofu which was decent. It's nothing to write home about but at least there are two obligatory veg items on the menu. The Pho Tofu broth was definitely more flavorful than average (some just taste like water!) but it definitely could have used more depth of flavor. The other veg dish is the vermicelli bowl, which most places will also include a fried egg roll on top, but this place did not. You just get noodles and veggies. So for the vegetarians and vegans out there, there is something to order here, but don't expect to have your socks knocked off. This is one of those places where you can be relieved there's something on the menu for you so the people you're with don't feel guilty. Their fried egg rolls come stuffed with chicken, crab and shrimp as the only option. The person who took our order was very proud to note the quality of their ingredients and the bf confirmed that these were tasty. The size of the egg rolls are slightly larger than average. Pretty good for the value. The cashier did note that they may increase the price of the egg rolls in the future due to the fact that they are using quality ingredients. So enjoy these while you can! The bf had the grilled pork vermicelli bowl and didn't seem impressed. I believe it was partly because the price was higher than other Vietnamese restaurants, quality more or less standard, and flavor was "not bad" but not amazing either. He is more accustomed to the pickled veggies adding more of a contrast to the bowl to balance out the meat, but he said they sort of just got lost with all the other ingredients. I tried some of the veggies off to the side and they definitely were more mild in flavor. Not necessarily a bad thing, but they did have less tang than the veggies I've had in vermicelli bowls. We're glad we stopped by here as the restaurant is nice and clean, service was fast & friendly and there are TV's to watch games if they're on. As for what else is available in the area in terms of Vietnamese food, we'll probably be hitting those places up instead not because this place isn't good, but because we could be getting more value, options, and flavor. read more
10/18/19 It pains me to write this because I really wanted to love it here but sadly, I did not. Lots of parking and nice, modern decor makes this a very appealing restaurant. My husband and I ordered #4 & #5 pho and an order of fried egg rolls. My #5 had so much grizzle I could not eat the meat. The broth was basically beef broth with no depth of flavor like you would expect from pho. The fried egg rolls were bland and soggy. So disappointed. I thought it was just me but my husband confirmed what I was thinking. This one is a one and done for us. read more

Pho Nation takes over the Sweethoney Dessert location in Newark. I was hungry this morning and thought about getting breakfast. As I looked on Yelp for what was open, this place popped up. I didn't realize it had already opened, so I decided to drop by. I arrived before 10am, but the open sign was turned on. I opened the door and asked if they were indeed open. They said come on in. The staff were friendly and hospitable as I looked at the menu. You order at the counter, and your food is delivered to your table. And the complimentary drinks (Water, Iced Tea, Hot Tea) is self service. I decided on the Pho Nation Combo #1 large. The interior still has the Sweethoney Dessert decor. However, there are four flatscreens, perfect on a football Sunday. The Pho was soon brought out. The Pho was tasty and filling. The broth was flavorful, helped out by the Jalapeño Peppers. Our go to restaurant was closed on Wednesdays so we desperately looked for another pho place that was 10 min away. We found this spot and I knew beforehand that my friend told me great things about this place. We walked in, tons of seating available and only one other couple was seated. We stood there awkwardly waiting to be seated and the worker just stared at us. Eventually she told us to order at the front first. She could've told us that when we stood there awkwardly instead of us waiting nearly 30 seconds, both of us staring each other down. So you order your foods at the front then sit down with the # marker placed on your table. The workers will bring the foods to you. I opted for the large beef ball and rare steak pho, and my fiance got the combo. He was disappointed they didn't have tendon - that is one item he looks forward the most in a pho dac biet. The prices were also pretty steep at $14-15/large. For the portion and quality, we weren't too pleased with our meals. We were hungry and thought this had to be somewhat decent. We got our foods pretty quickly in a large bowl. We thought the portions were huge since they came out in a very large bowl filled to the brim with broth but only to be disappointed that it was 80% soup and 20% everything else. What a deceiving bowl! The noodle portions were small and I was left hungry, adding the rest of my bean sprouts to satisfy my hunger. The soup at first taste was good, but after awhile it tasted super salty and lacked the depth of a bone broth with the proper seasonings. It just tasted like salty lightly beef broth to us. After drinking most of the broth, I was full although I would have liked more noodles. Due to the subpar taste of the broth and the steep price, we probably won't be back here. read more

We've been seeing this place whenever we drive around this complex and finally decided to try their Pho soup Once you check-in, you've to go to the counter and order from the menu, and pay directly to the cashier. They gave you a number and you can sit wherever you want. The wait for the food is not long and takes maybe 5-10 mins for the food to arrive at your table. We ordered the chicken thigh Pho. The Pho soup is simple but they gave us a good portion of the chicken thighs. The chicken is cut into smaller pieces when served. I liked the flavor of the chicken but the pho soup needs more seasoning. I've to put a bit of oyster sauce on the soup to give me a flavor. I've been to several pho places but this one didn't give me a wow experience. On the other hand, the combination of shrimp, chicken, and beef is delicious. I loved the way it was cooked and the flavor was good. I should have tried their other combination instead of the pho I ordered. Since this is my first time, I can't give a full review without checking their other pho soup. I will try their other pho and see how it compares to what I ate. read more

I previous left a review about how great this restaurant, the staff, and the pho was but this house special vermicelli bowl has changed my life. We wanted to try a new Vietnamese place, so we gave Pho Nation a shot! I ordered: Combo Rice Plate #1 ($14.95): Grilled chicken, pork, and shrimp w/ rice and salad. They give you lots of meat AND it's tasty! Great flavor for everything, esp the shrimp. It's not too oily either. 5/5 stars In general, the prices here seem expensive but the portions are big. The large pho you see in the back was literally the size of half of a basketball! The interior is modern. You order at the register when you are ready. It was our first time to try this restaurant last night after visiting some friends, and I was thinking to have a simple dinner. We didn't have much expectation when we walked in. The ambience is very clean and tidy, we walked up to the register to order, the cashier/waitress/hostess was friendly. Food: 2 stars Ambience: 4 stars Service: 2 stars Menu: 2 (very limited, comparing to other vietnamese restaurants) Table social distance: not at all With Pho, it's all about the soup. it was super salty, and the ingredients was pretty tasteless. I don't want to compare this place with Pho Kim Long, in San Jose, because they are the best so far after working in Milpitas/San Jose for so many years. We didn't finish our order and left. I was looking for a new pho place close to home, and this location popped up. While walking in you order at the front and then pick any empty table to sit. They also have a self service station of Tea, water and ice tea. All unlimited. My pho came out pretty quick with all utensils, sauces at the table. The quality of the pho is really good here, I highly recommend it. This will be my go to pho spot for now on. read more

Very bad service, very awful food. You need to pay in advance and add tips first. Since you already paid, they did not serve you at all, no water! Also, food is really bad, we ordered a fried chicken and they were very hard to eat read more
This has been my "go-to" pho spot since they've opened. Got to experience it before COVID happened and have been supporting this establishment ever since. Out of the pho restaurants in the area, Pho Nation has been the most consistent and provides the largest portion of noodles and proteins. We've order through yelp and have also called in our orders with no hiccups, issues, or language barriers. What struck me to write this review was what I saw during my latest visit. As I was going in to pick up my order, I saw another customer leaving with a bag of food in one hand and a drink tray in the other hand. As he was approaching his car, the drink tray completely gave away causing both drinks to drop and spill all over the parking lot. I could feel his heart ache and pain as he had no control of losing nearly $10 worth of drinks. As I waited in the social distance line to pay and pick up my order, that customer came back in and explained what happened. The guy behind the counter was actually empathetic and apologizing for the faulty tray. He stopped what he was doing and told that customer he'd take care of it right away. Bravo for that kind of customer service!!! So yeah... back to the food; feeling cold, lazy, hung over or just need a solid bowl of noods? Place an order for pho! Even though the broth is piping hot when you pick it up, I typically throw it in a pot and bring it to a boil and serve it over the noodles and rare steak so everything can cook through and the noodles can separate. I also found that it isn't as salty as other places, but it still helps to chug a cold beer or a big glass of water afterwards ;) read more

It's like concentrated pho! They give so much noodles, meat, and vegetables you can easily get 2 meals out of it if not 2.5. The soup is also very rich and you can easily thin it with water 15 percent and it would still taste good. Worth the price and would repeat, was able to get lunch and dinner out of it today. The packaging was also very neat and nice with the soup being double bagged and in a sturdy clear container to help with any accidental spillage. Located in the large plaza right on the corner, parking is very easy with Covid, will be back! read more

Had the pho here a couple of months back & wanted to get it again. Alas, although google said they would be open today, I was unfortunately disappointed when I saw this notice on the door. Don't be fooled by google, I would recommend calling in advance if you're thinking of coming to this shop, pho real. read more
4.5/5 stars* This has been my go to spot for Viet food during covid. Came here on a whim, but now I'm a regular! Place is very clean, has hand sanitizers near the entrance and front desk (where you pay). Clear social distancing markers on the floor. Decor is quite modern, huge TV flat screens. Menu is displayed near the counter, makes it easy to see its offerings of appetizers, pho, broken rice plates, smoothies, etc. A bit pricy for basic options such as Chicken Pho Ga and Shrimp Pho Tom. Menu-wise, it also has a smaller variety of dishes compared to other traditional pho places (no Bun Bo Hue or Bun Rieu). Servers are courteous and friendly; one came out personally with a mask to hand us our take-out order. Pho Nation Combo #1: 5/5 - Slightly pricier than other pho places - Well flavored beef broth - Generous chunks of meat (meatballs, tripe, brisket, flank, steak) - Large amount of rice noodles Combo Rice Plate #1: 4/5 - A bit expensive (~$15), portion could be bigger - Plenty of meat but not enough rice, veggies, shrimp - But flavor is there, nicely executed dish - Grill on chicken and shrimp was fantastic, smoky enough - Pork was tender, nicely seasoned - Loved the broth that came with it Strawberry smoothie: 5/5 - Smoothie is not too thick - Freshly made to order - Pretty darn delicious - Plenty of strawberry flavor - Does not taste artificial - Nice accompaniment to meal Would come back to try other pho and smoothie options, especially the avocado smoothie. I get off of work late and there aren't many options for restaurants with the curfew. Luckily this place took my order. I got the Pho Nation Combo #1 with rare steak, flank, brisket, tripe and beef balls. I also got their avocado smoothie. The pho was great for takeout. It's always better in a sit down experience, for me personally. However they were generous with the noodles and meat, and the flavor of the broth was good. But the avocado smoothie was delicious. I nearly finished the whole thing before I got home to eat my pho! Happy to support them. (SIDE NOTE: Yes, I forgot to take a pic of the pho altogether in a bowl. I was hungry, lol. So it doesn't look like much in the pics, but it was good!) read more

The food was really good! So fresh and my order was ready to go soon as I got to the restaurant. Came here since it was close to my hotel and I'm glad I did. The service was great when I went to get my order everything was packaged and ready to go. I will probably be back before I leave town! read more

Wow I am shocked. I am always hesitant to try new pho places because you never want to risk a disappointing bowl of pho but WOW the broth is A1, earthy just how I like it. I ordered on Uber eats -- I got a crazy portion of meat (chicken pho) and they included extra bean sprouts like I had asked. Amazing to go presentation I am so impressed by this place. Also - I called the restaurant to make sure to include hot sauce and chopsticks and the guy on the phone was SO nice and made such a great impression on me, awesome customer service. But.... they did forget my Thai tea. I'm not sure if that's Ubers fault or the restaurant. read more

First time here, I loved it so much! I came with my dad and I rarely come down since I live in Los Angeles. So glad that this was the spot I came too! The people in the front were super nice and had conversation with my dad about Pepsi and coke LOL super welcoming and very outgoing! The pho was overall so good :) will be coming back here!! read more

I'm amazed how fast the food comes out. I ordered bowl of rare beef pho and my bf ordered the meatball pho, they both came out within a few minutes after seating. The broth tasted rich in flavor and the noodle was cooked perfectly. Hot tea is free here. since this place is still new it's nice and clean. Five stars for sure. read more

Seriously, probably one of the best Pho restaurants I've ever been to. Place is super clean with friendly faces, and the food is rich yet effortless. Simple but delicious Pho and other classic Vietnamese dishes. Phenomenon. You can't go wrong with this place. We went here on a cold, rainy afternoon and everything from start to end was just so warm and inviting, the boiling hot and smooth tasting broth and yummy noodles, the fresh spring rolls and succulent shrimp and beef flanks. Delicious! Oh, they also serve free hot and iced tea. Sublime! By the way, as a side note, I just like to say that I enjoy eating healthy food and appreciate places that don't skimp on quality and freshness. I found the noodle soup dishes here to be plentiful tasty with rich herbs and flavors, but I can understand how some people would have habitual needs to enrich their daily dishes with more salt, hoisin or other spices for the sake of satisfying their tastebuds. I don't think Pho Nation uses much sodium or even MSG because I don't get that dreaded thirstiness hours later with their dishes like I do with other Pho places. Bottom line, I just use lime or lemon instead of salt/hoisin sauce and feel much healthier. read more

Open during sheltered-in?
Pho Nation is open from 10am-9pm everyday for takeouts and deliveries only. All customers are required to wear face mask and practice social distancing at all time. Thank you for supporting and understanding.
How does tipping work here? Since patrons pay upfront, the guy at the register said to "skip the tip section" but I already selected a % tip before he finished his sentence. Are we not expected to tip since water/tea is self-service...?
i don't tip on computer but once i finish eating, i leave some $ on table...
