Parking is limited, but that's usually a good sign -- and Best Pho House proves it. I ordered Pho #13, loaded with lobster tail, crawfish, scallops, shrimp, and clams. Every spoonful was a treasure -- tender clams still in their shells, sweet scallops, and generous portions of lobster and shrimp. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the noodles were perfectly soft. My only minor critique was the shrimp being a little overcooked, but everything else, especially the lobster and clams, was spot-on. The ambience is bright, clean, and welcoming, with a bold red-and-black color scheme, comfortable chairs, wood tables, a full bar for draft brews, and a separate sushi bar. Very well-kept and spotless throughout. Highly recommend if you're TDY nearby or just in the area -- a great hidden gem by the Cumberland River!

So, I threw some money on a cash app card for meal and tip, but it declined. Turns out I had locked the card thinking I was unlocking it. So, I gave them my bank card, but the magnetic strip has been acting up-hence, the Cash App card remedy. Well, she manages to input manually, I sign a receipt with a subtotal and add a 35% tip. All is well-until I see the pending charge on my account...the one before they finalize the receipt with what I wrote in. She ran my card and chose her own 20% tip. Never presented me with a new receipt that showed the same. We were a party of 2. It just doesn't sit well with me & I've dined here several times. I hate that people feel they have to sneak a tip because of how I look. Don't do that again please

Charlotte Pike is a location where there are tons of Vietnamese restaurants. You have Kien Giang,…read moreMiss Saigon, VN Deli, Huong Tofu, and TN Pho. So you have plenty of choices. This is my favorite. The place is nothing to write home about, so you won't hear a lot about the atmosphere, other than it is authentic. The service is ma & pa style, with one person handling all of the orders. You pay at the counter after dinner. This was once cash only, but they added cards a few years ago. This is not just for the Pho, although the broth is rich and very satisfying. It is also for the items you don't normally find in non-traditional Vietnamese joints, like the Vietnamese pancakes. No, you won't find high end, like the one in Chicago, which really blends French and Viet cuisines, but this place is on point. The menu is exgtensive, so rather easy to find something you will like and big enough to come back to try things you never tried before. I have had better pho in my life, but you end up traveling to Round Rock, TX for Pho Huong or to Oklahoma City (they have a whole community not too far west of the Capitol Building. For here, this is the bomb. This time I had make your own Pho with the steak, flank, and meatballs. If I have one complaint, I prefer the beef to come out raw and let it lightly cook in the broth. I also grabbed some rolls to dip into the Pho Broth. In the past, I have grabbed the pancakes, which are also large and very tasty. Definitely a bit of the French crepe kind of feel, with an Asian flair. I did not get one, but they also do a basic bahn mi for $6.50, although I slightly prefer Huong Tofu on this particular item. If you have a party menu that is vegetarian, Kien Giang is an excellent choice, as they have a fairly extensive set of vegetarian choices.
