Went there for sit down lunch at 1PM. The place is full. They spaced out the tables so they are 6 feet apart. But they are seating people in every booth. If there are people sitting on both sides of the booth, they will not be 6 feet away from the next table. I was seated at a table promptly, and orders taken right away. But had no utensils and condiments. Took a while to get someone's attention since everyone was so busy. Foot arrived promptly too. Portion is good. Meat all cooked properly. Love this restaurant when I'm craving Vietnamese food or in need of some pho. The restaurant is very clean and they have taken several precautions with covid in spreading tables out and using every other, wiping everything down, and bringing all the sauces to the table in small amounts so less touching of customers on the bottles. I usually get pho when I come here because it's my favorite but I like to try other dishes sometimes and nothing ever disappoints. Also love their Vietnamese iced coffee. Ever since I had moved, I didn't have chance to go but I had stuff to do near by so I went there and ordered a bowl of pho. I could say it was one the worst pho I've ever had. Something PHO KING wrong cause this spot is definitely not PHO KING GOOD as advertised in there name sake or advertising!!! Walked in with an open mind and super excited but took sometime to get even seated due to the fact the greater or host was on her cell and didn't see me walk in? Finally seated but took sometime to order because my waitress forgot to comeback after seating me? Unfortunately the food was just as bad as the staff and service....Hard to believe they can mess up fish sauce but they somehow managed to water down so much so that there was no flavor? Ordered the PKG Pho special but nothing special except for bery underwhelming watered down and bland broth with tough meat to boot!!! Pricing was not good either.....I really hoped this was PHO KING GOOD as advertised but instead left underwhelmed and disappointed. I could not get my kid to come here. The name, well it entirely turned her off. I should be glad I have a sweet daughter, but honestly I was annoyed I couldn't get her through the door. We love pho. Phooey. Today I went for lunch with a dining companion who didn't care about the name. It's a really pleasant, clean space. We had excellent service. There's hot tea and the usual condiments on the table. I had soup with sliced bbq pork and rice noodles. It was fragrant and delicious. Dining companion had bun with lemongrass pork and shrimp. There was one disturbing bone in the pork, it was tiny, but otherwise it was described as yummy. What impressed both of us was how fresh the flavors and produce were. My basil was fragrant and seemed just picked. We shared potstickers. They were yummy -- hot and crispy- albeit a little oily ( they needed dabbing with a paper towel). I think this is a nice choice for Vietnamese. There's an extensive menu, lots of choices, there are $7 lunch specials, and there is bubble tea. I liked the atmosphere a lot. If I could just blindfold my kid and sneak her by the name it'd be all good, not just pho king good! read more

Someone had some fun naming this place. Showed the name to my son, who immediately snickered and said we had to try it. [The proper way to pronounce pho is "fuh", in case you didn't know. Go ahead, say the whole name.] So we tried it out and proclaim it to be Pho/Fuh King Good. We had the veggie spring rolls, which were freshly rolled as they were filled with warm rice noodles, and just a hint of mint. The sauce was not overly peanut-y either, which I appreciated. Two large rolls cut in half was $4.50, I think. I had the #4, beef round steak and meatballs. Hubby had the #9 beef brisket. The broth was hot enough to finish cooking the meat, unlike another reviewer's experience. Rich beef both that didn't overwhelm with star anice. I added the thai basil and bean sprouts, and a dash of sriacha. Both bowls of soup hid the plentiful meat - it was like a bottomless bowl of beef! The Pho is $7.50 for a good-sized bowl. Kiddo tried the chicken teriyaki and said it was good but not "Pho King Good". The meat looked a little dried out to me, but it came with a nice side of fresh steamed broccoli. They get it when I asked for "Chewy noodles (slightly undercooked)"! Most Pho restaurants I've been to tend to over cook the noodles or leave them out turing it into a clump that you have to undo yourself to start the meal. But I know when rice noodles are cooked fresh they tend to be loose and chewy. So as you put all the fixings in like cilantro, basil, bean sprouts and the lime it's ready to eat and the noodles are not over cooked. I love Vietnamese-style pho noodle soup and the punny (or should I say Pho-nny) names that are un-pho-gettable at so many pho restaurants. Pho King Good stakes it's claim to punniest (or is that pho-nniest) of all in Beaverton, OR. We started with a couple appetizers, pho shizzle: Nem Nuong Cuon (Grilled Vietnamese Pork Sausage Rolls) and PKG Fried Chicken Wings. We also split a Pho King ice-cold Taro Smoothie with Boba. So pho, so good. It might be different pho you, but I always get pho at a pho restaurant. My wife is not me. What the pho? She got the Chicken Curry and added a side French Bread Baguette because it's what she Pho King wanted. Whatever, baby, I'm crazy pho you. Pho me, I stuck with Pho Tai (Round Steak Beef Noodle Soup) which wasn't pho-nomenal or quite pho-bulous, but it was Pho King tasty pho sure. We've been doing home meals for two months and decided to finally rip off the Band-Aid and order takeout. We've been here once before and enjoyed our dine-in experience; quick and polite service, good food, clean place, etc. Our second, dine-out, experience was great! We ordered pho (him meatball, me chicken) with fresh rolls and chicken satay and all were tasty! Love that we get the side garnishments in a separate bag so we can add once we were home. I had a hard time stopping putting the spoon to my mouth but my husband gently reminded me that we'd be able to order here again and this wasn't my last meal ever. Haha. The peanut sauce is really smooth for the fresh rolls (we've tried making our own peanut sauce and it just isn't the same)! My husband devoured the chicken so I assume that's a good sign. :) We were close to the restaurant when we called in our order and were told five minutes (wow!) so we zipped on over and unfortunately waited another 20 minutes for the food to be ready. So a bit off on time estimate. Thankfully, I don't get out much right now so I was quite happy being out for awhile even if it was just in a parking lot! We will definitely order from here again and just hope next time we can enjoy the dine-in experience but if not, take-out it is! read more

This is my favorite pho place in the Portland metro. I drive a good 20 minutes to get my pho cravings satisfied here, I am very picky about my pho! The broth is so good and clean tasting (my go-to order is a vegetarian soup there, with extra tofu). The staff is very nice and friendly. I've even stopped by to just take home some broth - no meat, veggies, or noodles - to drink while I was recovering from a surgery and not feeling well. So now that were in the PNW, finding a good pho place was essential, especially during that cold and flu season where a hot bowl of pho is exactly what you need. This place is surprisingly good and fairly priced. My husband got pho #1 with extra meat and was very happy. I got the pho with only lean brisket and was very happy. I also ordered the shredded pork spring rolls and was happy with this as well. I also thought it was very smart that they put another bowl at the bottom of the pho bowl so the waiter doesn't have to stick their thumb into the pho bowl when handing it to you (although if I'm being honest, that's a sign of a good pho restaurant lmao jk..kinda). The service and environment at PKG are good. Fast service and clean tables and restrooms. The menu is pretty big for carnivores, with a smattering for vegetarian and vegan customers. As a vegan, I called prior to going, as is a good practice if you've not been somewhere prior, to find out if they had vegan items on the menu. The guy who answered when I called was very nice, friendly and helpful. He said everything was clearly marked on the menu but that they are happy to help when we come in. I got the spring rolls, with peanut sauce to share as an appetizer. They were delicious. Flavorful, rolled well and even a good crunch to them from the fresh vegetables.y husband got the crispy spring rolls. I never ever eat them because I hate fried foods. I usually find them so greasy and heavy that it ruins the taste in my mouth for other foods. He insisted I try them. I took a bite and was blown away. They were crispy, not greasy at all, flavorful and perfectly cooked. For an entree I had the rice vermicelli bowl. This was always a favorite for me at my favorite Vietnamese place in FL, so I was thrilled to find a place in Portland to have a hot bowl! The flavors were good but not bold. The bowl was more broth than anything, and very light on the veggies. I was disappointed about that but it was still a good bowl, just not as hearty and healthy as I had hoped for. This is my fav west side pho place. They have great broth with a good noodle ratio. Love coming here on the weekends for some pho breakfast. The team here is always welcoming and fast. If you ever do a phone order for pickup they are crazy fast and it's always super warm and delicious. This business is taking COVID serious and you can tell. I order over the phone and the gentleman was kind until he insisted that I gave him my personal phone number. I order #401 which cost $15 with and Thai iced tea $5. I did not feel like the portion are worth the money, the container is not all the way filled and I got half of the container of noodles. The taste was ok, but it tasted like pho mixed with stew soup. The meat was ok, a little chewy. There was about four pieces of meat and 2 pieces of carrots. The rest was just the broth. Thai tea was good size for the price. I don't think I will be back here to be honest. I spent 20 bucks and it did not feel worth my money, I have tried better places. I gave them 3 stars for the effort and the Thai tea. read more

10/10 recommend! The flavor in the pork in the Grilled lemongrass pork and shrimp vermicelli tasted like a very well marinated pork as if from a korean bbq restaurant. This meal with all the veggies tastes extremely fresh and perfect seasonings as with the sweet/spicy dressing. I didn't use all the noodles and ate it more as a salad. The broth was most disappointing as it was tasted and look like instant or canned beef broth. Decent option but I shoulda make trek to East side for better options . I've been a regular at this restaurant for almost 8 years straight which goes with out saying that its recipe for pho is by far the best tatsting and cleanest broth I've come across! I decided to try this place after being disappointed with the decreased quality of Pho Hung after new ownership. The ambiance is nice and open with a clean, modern design. Although it seems they make it a priority to get tea on the table, it took a little while for someone to take our order. I ordered the #1 pho special that includes all of the meat cuts and tripe. It came out quickly, but they just gave us 1 plate of toppings to share between 2 people and just 1 stalk of basil. Most disappointing was that about 1/3 of the bean sprouts were brown and limp (see pic). The pho was ok, but the broth did not have a great depth of flavor. Overall, I slightly prefer Pho Hung, but judging by the size of the lunch crowd, I would say most people disagree. read more

Two years later, this is still hands down some of the best pho I've ever had. My wife and I take out an order every week and the pho is fantastic every time. It's also worth noting the service is unparalleled -- I have never had to wait more than 15 minutes for a take-out order, and dining in shortens that wait to about five minutes.
