Loved it! Honestly when I searched for pho I seen the name of this business and couldn't resist. They were accurate in the business name/description. It IS Good! I didn't have pho however my eating buddy did and they said the broth was super delicious. My meal was very good and very filling. I had the grilled chicken over vermicelli noodles and it had vegetables in it as well and came with what looked like an egg roll sauce that added only a tiny kick that was just enough to please my taste buds. The atmosphere was calm and quiet which is how I like my eating experience to be. My Huge pet peeve is people with their phone blaring instead of enjoying the company of another or just observing things around them and fortunately there was none of that here. Great Pho. Nothing life changing, but warm, satisfying, and delicious. I had the brisket and the meat was tender. We also ordered the fried gyoza and it was the perfect appetizer. It is served with maybe a ponzu sauce(?) but the acidity cut through the oil and really brought out nice flavors. read more

Been to this place twice and there are some dishes that are better than others! The Banh Xeo is a thumbs up! Crispy and full of shrimp and pork inside. The nem nurong cuon is okay, the pork could had more flavor. The pho and rice dishes were not up to par. The pho soup was lack in flavor, however the noodles had a good texture. The rice plate were sad, one piece of grilled chicken and bowl of rice for $16...we are not in CA! I don't know if I'll go back...my Vietnamese restaurant hunt continues. read more

Closes at 9 pm, but last seating is at 8:30 pm. I hate being those people, but we arrived at 8:20 pm not knowing their last seating time until reading the menus. We were still greeted and allowed to choose our own seats. Everyone knew what they wanted so we got our order in pretty quick: #1s for husband and I. He got a durian milkshake (he's addicted to those things now) and I got their salty plum soda. His drink had no durian taste whatsoever so don't bother ordering it. My drink however, was delicious! Not bad for a Vietnamese joint! Bun Bo hue: broth flavor was good with all the correct meats. There was tripe, coagulated blood cubes, pork feet (cooked too well IMO... So it was mushy), & cha lua. Broth couldve used more lemon grass but I still enjoyed my bowl. -pho dac biet: my friend said the broth was missing depth but it did the job. We wanted Vietnamese food. Their bo thai was cooked through and through so thst was disappointing. Their side veggies came with bean sprouts, ONE twig of Thai basil, a wedge of lime, and 2 slices of jalepeno peppers. Missing culantro but that's prob because it's out of season? -chicken wings: very crispy fried winged (5 pieces) with a side of sweet chili sauce. Went here for the first time in a few years. This place really went downhill. The pho broth used to be flavorful and rich. The broth now is lightly flavored water. It was gross. I didn't even eat half my meal. Other person with me got the beef stuff. That was also lacking flavor and they used frozen carrots in it. Won't be going back. Definitely a version of a dive, but a rather large one. The food was excellent! I believe the spring rolls were among the best I have enjoyed here in Portland. They came out with the wrapping still warm and icy cold greens inside! The peanut sauce was delicious, and a good amount was served with the spring rolls - you don't need to request more. I enjoyed the vegetarian soup, the name of which escapes me at this time. The interesting factor about this soup was that it had absolutely no salt when it was served to me. So I added all the fresh Thai basil, jalapeño pepper slices, taugé shoots, squirted the lime all over it, added the soy sauce and salt, to MY liking: this was part of the process to make the soup and broth as handmade as possible. Delicious! I want to come back to try some other dishes; however, their veg options are (sadly) very limited. Meatlovers can enjoy way more different types of dishes than what I can. Probably its location in the burbs allows that, but I hope to see changes in that sooner rather than later. After months of driving by this place I finally made it in for a take out order. Being fairly disappointed with ethnic food around Portland my hopes weren't very high. Compared to LA, Asian foods here have been a serious let down. Compared to other places around Portland the prices here are fair, as a good large bowl of phô really shouldn't cost over $8 bucks. Everything was prepared well, broth was hot and taste was as it should be, not overly salty or lacking in a clean flavor profile. Veggie additions were crisp and meats were sliced well without a bunch of fatty gristle. Meats were also seperated in their own container, some places just toss it in with the veggies or vermicelli noodles. Even though it all cooks together, maybe not the best for cross contamination worries. I can't say it was the best phô I've ever had, but definitely a solid nicely tasting bowl. Overall, I like their pho and fast service,the fact that they'll let you order a banh mi from Best Baguette next door and bring it into the restaurant. I usually order the #6 Tai Sach (Round Steak, Tripe) because I love tripe, don't care much for the round steak though. I'd say the portions are comparable to other pho places in the area. Sometimes I get cravings for their salad rolls -- Pork and Shrimp, Lemongrass Pork, and Lemongrass Chicken salad rolls are all very good. We recently discovered that these are a great cost-efficient addition to family take-out meals since each order comes with two rolls. The parking lot tends to get a bit crowded during dinner time since its shared with other restaurants, but there's usually parking available in adjacent lots. read more

Calling in an order to pick up was easy, order repeated back to me and given price and estimated time. I like how if you don't know the name, you can say the menu number as well. We got #1 PKG Special, #3 pho with round steak and flank, #605 lemongrass chicken and rice, #509 grilled shrimp on sugarcane rice vermicelli, and #103 appetizer of lemongrass pork roll. Upon coming home the food was still hot and packaged well. The broth for the pho was just right and fresh vegetables, was worried the noodles would clump together however that wasn't the case. The shrimp vermicelli had lots of veggies as well and was presented as shrimp patty that was formed onto the sugarcane. Appetizer of the lemongrass pork roll was wrapped tightly and stuffed full. Came here with the fam on an early Saturday evening and was seated right away. Both of them ordered Pho Noodle Soup and I got the Vegetarian Vermicelli with fried spring rolls. We also got the shredded pork salad rolls with peanut dipping sauce. We all felt the food was good, but not amazing. Husby had to add salt to his soup because he said that although the flavor as in spices was there, it was a little too subtle that it needed salt. Not sure if that makes sense. The salad rolls ($5.25) are phenomenal as is the spicy beef soup ($9.75). The lotus root salad ($7.25) should not be missed either. But the lemongrass grilled pork & shrimp ($10.50) is my personal fave. The menu is extensive. Appetizers (even the foo foo ones like cream cheese crab puffs), rice dishes, noodle dishes, bubble tea, Vietnamese coffee, and shakes with avocado, jackfruit, or durian (gag me!).
