I was craving some warm pho so I stoped by Pho Hut. This place never disappoints, on a cold day this is what is needed. The service was friendly and fast. Great flavors and the jasmine tea was yummy. The place had great seating and roomy.

BEST PHO IN TOWN! I have tried all the pho in Bakersfield and even parts of Los Angeles and Orange County and I'd actually rate this place higher than LA Pho in my opinion. I ordered on Doordash too I didn't even dine in person. And I'm so impressed with the quality of the bone broth it's real, and the most flavorful broth out of all the pho restaurants in town examples (maui pho, soy&spice, pho vy, Saigon bento) just to name a few of the pho restaurants I've ate at. Their filet mignon is soft and fresh, I'd recommend it to anyone looking for clean pho that has great flavor and generous with the side garnishes. I'll be ordering here on the daily! :)

I like coming here for lunch because their portions are big! I usually order a plain pho with all the fixings off the kids Menu and that does it for me. The staff is attentive and the young man who seats, serves and takes payment is always so polite and goes above and beyond. This is a Bakersfield staple, for sure. The only issue I have is the Bathroom. It's a little run down compared to the rest of the restaurant. They have an air powered hand dryer as opposed to paper towels. I can see the economical choice for this, however, I would prefer paper towels to open the door with after washing my hands instead of raw dogging the handle after washing.

Sorry but this place has gone down. Way down. Our food was very bland like they don't cook with salt. I was disappointed and sadly likely will not go back. The spring rolls were flavorless and the peanut sauce could not save it. The service was okay. Not friendly like it used to be. The place was not busy but clean. Hope y'all have a better experience than I did. Enjoy!

    Rare steak pho. Bland broth

Ugh. I was more than willing to skip writing a review and look pass the bland soup broth, flavorless chili oil, dirty table, and funky smelling bathroom, BUT then we had this experience: Our server (receipt says Pauline) was friendly , we were greeted upon entry, which I always appreciate. The real plants and minimal decoration gave the restaurant a cute vibe. I ordered a large veggie pho it was only $1 more than the regular. My sister ordered the large rare steak pho. We also ordered the chicken wings...which were more like teeny tiny chicken bone with a nibble bite size of dry shriveled meat on them (they came 20 minutes after we ordered). We politely asked to return the chicken wings. The server came back to us saying we had to pay 50% of the wings because they were already cooked. We did not argue, simply stated our disappointment, explained why we were returning the wings, and continued eating our pho. The bill came, and yes, we were charged $6 for wings we did not touch nor take away with us. Never have I ever experienced returning a food item and being told to pay half - even if I had already eaten some of the item. My hope is that the supervisor realizes what a rude concept that is, deducts that $6 charge and gives it to our server as tip. Not her fault the cooks are serving uneatable food. THE FOOD: Chicken Wings with fish sauce - DON'T YOU DARE. Smallest chicken wings I've ever seen. A few had strange discoloring. Very dry over cooked and shriveled. Upon looking at it, I dare not touch it. Sent back to kitchen, was still charged 50%. Veggie Pho - liked that there was fried and soft tofu, plenty of veggies. Broth was bland af. Didn't taste any kind of beef bouillon or seasoning. Had to use plenty of oyster sauce and sriracha to minimally enjoy the meal. Rare steak Pho - bland broth. Steak a bit overcooked.

Food is good, also the service, I really wish they had some other spicy souce or chili oil. But over all great servings and great food.

I've visited this spot a handful of times. The food and service are basic nothing too out of this world but the prices and food are decent and worth it. However this past time I went to pho hut I found a huge black hair in my noddles , needless to say I won't be back here. Sorry I was overly disgusted by it. Ambiance is family friendly , if it wasn't for the hair in my food I would have returned

The wings looked terrible and came out ten minutes after our pho. I bit one and it was as bad as it looked. Completely overcooked and hardly any meat on them. After sending them back to the kitchen another staff came over to say that we would still be charged half price for them and did we still want to eat them... after they had been sent back and sitting in the kitchen for another 5 minutes? No thanks. The pho itself was generally bland. We knew we should have left when we got there and there were no sauces on the table... at a Vietnamese restaurant. Yikes. They were actually out of chili oil and only had store bought sriracha and hoisin sauce. I felt bad for the first server we had bc she was super nice, but the wing situation and lackluster customer service along with the bland noodles was a real disappointment. YOU'LL BE MUCH BETTER OFF AT PHO- VY

In comes my relationship with the Wonton soup. Quite frankly the relationship was inappropriate, toxic even. It really wasn't that good but I kept ordering it ???? With a touch of MSG and some probably costco bought wontons, I slowly returned to my original form. Now flip the narrative. One day after work I'm kinda sad... being an LA boy I missed my asian cuisine. Mom was out at MahJong and dad was idk planting flowers or something (he's retired now so I guess he picked up Botany). Out comes the beef chow fun. Quite frankly it itched my chinese tickle. You know its good when it's named "fun." That's "noodles" in Mandarin for my non-Mandarin friends. 5 out of 5. This ain't the country side of BeiJing but it'll do.
