The restaurant is nicely decorated, and within five minutes it was completely full. My dad ordered the specialty beef bone rice noodle soup. A second bowl came out just for the bone--holy moly! His only complaint was the noodles; he didn't care for the wide noodles. My sister got the bún bò Huế. The broth was excellent and approved by my parents, and it came with a generous amount of meat. My mom ordered bún cá and really enjoyed her meal. Each soup-based dish came with a plate of fresh vegetables. I ordered the grilled specialty platter. It was a lot of food, but everything was delicious. I also tried the salted iced coffee, which was just okay. They accept cash or debit only. Service was quick and efficient, and we were served tea as soon as we were seated. I highly recommend An Ngon Vietnamese Cuisine.

The restaurant was spacious and could seat a lot of people, but from other reviewers on Yelp, this place can get very busy. We were seated immediately and service was prompt. We ordered the following: 2 X Grilled Pork and Spring Roll with Vermicelli 1 X Grilled Chicken with Spring Roll Vermicelli Both the grilled port and grilled chicken were tender, and very flavourful. The spring rolls were crispy, large, but lacked a bit of taste compared with other restaurants. Overall, both dishes were good as well as the service. I would return to try Pho next time.

The menu unfurls with impressive breadth, moving well beyond expected pho into simmered specialties that reward the adventurous diner. Service throughout was attentive and unhurried, the sort of hospitality that turns newcomers into regulars. What lingers most is the room itself. Disco lighting fixtures and a tucked away stage lend the space an unexpected theatricality, as though it were built for celebration rather than mere sustenance. Despite the family's expansion into a sleeker downtown outpost, this original location retains a lived in charm no polished interior could replicate. The broth carries real depth and fragrance, the noodles handled with care, and the accompanying plates, from crisp spring rolls to grilled specialties, arrive with the consistency that keeps a neighborhood loyal for decades. If there is a critique to offer, it is only that the restaurant's understated exterior undersells the warmth and quality found within. This is Vietnamese cooking presented without pretense: generous, comforting, and utterly sincere. Pho Ngoc Yen earns its reputation through steady, quiet excellence, and it remains a destination worth returning to again and again.

We dined outside as the restaurant was full - they set up tables outside on a perfect weather day and it was a delightful dining experience from beginning to end. A great (belated) birthday lunch! Service is CONSIDERATE and EFFICIENT!

We were greeted promptly and their decor is always relaxing and even, enchanting. The two dishes we ordered - B19 Bun Cha Ca Tron and B17 Bun Ca Chien Gion Salad Red were fresh and delicious. There is plenty of free parking on site, although the restaurant can get quite busy. On one occasion, the lot was completely full and I had to wait a bit for a spot, which speaks to its popularity. The staff are friendly and attentive, and payment is made at the front counter after your meal. One thing that sets this restaurant apart is its extensive menu. While the pho is good, there are also many other Vietnamese and Thai dishes that you don't typically find at most Vietnamese restaurants, making it a great place to explore beyond the usual Vietnamese classics. The food is consistently good, the portions are generous. This spot is definitely worth a visit!
