Simple, small, clean, seats up to maybe 20 at a time, right by the college area, easily walkable for students. A few parking spaces outside that is free after 9pm. You make your payment without interacting with anyone prior to sitting down. Didn't print out receipt so if you want it get it at the front desk on your way out. Anytime I am on campus I stop in for the grilled shrimp spring rolls. They are large in size. I like to mix the sirracha & soy sauce as my dipping sauce. The twilight milk tea is great! The calamari is 6/10, this was a relatively low rating because I was deceived by the menu name with no photos and thought it would've been served similar to Italian cuisines, but it was eh/alright. However, I did not come for the calamari and should've known better considering this is a Vietnamese restaurant. The Bun Bo Hue was 8.7/10. There was a decent amount of meat and noodles. The broth has a good amount of spices, but needs more depth. However, considering many people do not finish the broth it brings to my attention that only a small amount of improvement is needed on the Bun Bo Hue broth. Overall, this place is a good Vietnamese restaurant. The pho wasn't the best I've had but it is worth not having to drive 45 min to my favorite place when I get the craving. They don't have all the options I like but what they do have is good. The pho was good with that signature hint of fat to make you lick your lips. The noodle to broth ratio I had was perfect. I had meatballs and rare steak in it. I also had the lemongrass beef spring rolls. There were cucumbers and carrots in there for a great crunch. The beef had a little zing to it which was great. My review is purely based on take-out orders, and we love ordering take-out from Pho House. Their pho has sweeter hint to their broth than I prefer, but my partner loves it, and I still enjoy it. I tend to order their bun bo hue often, which is delicious! Some restaurants' bun bo hue are slightly diluted or less flavorful in my opinion, but I especially enjoy ordering it from Pho House. We've had their banh mi which have been really tasty, and we've also had their rice and vermicelli bowls, which we've ordered often as well. We've been here twice over the past couple of months as we are sending our daughter off for her freshmen year. My wife was born in Laos and is an outstanding cook of SE Asian cuisine, so her standard on this issue is high. Everyone loved everything we've ordered. The bahn mi bread is on point and the lemongrass choices are very flavorful. Spring rolls are big and very fresh and the Pho broths are deep and rich. Everything is fresh and delicious. Service is odd because you order on a large touch screen and the food is delivered via robot. But we did get the wrong spring rolls this last visit and the staff courteously and promptly corrected. We tried Pho House the day they opened and we absolutely loved everything we tried! Their signature spare rib and steak pho was delicious hitting all of the right flavors and the rib meat fell right off of the bone. The grilled chicken bahn mi was amazing and the baguette had the perfect amount of crispiness without being dry. The egg rolls were really great as well as the sauce and garnishes. The orange chicken was melt in your mouth delicious! Probably the best I've had anywhere. The menu kiosks were convenient and I love the beautiful food photos to assist in decision-making. The young woman working the counter who brought food out was very friendly. Since it was opening day, the pho took just a bit longer than the other food, but we already had everything else to start working on, so it was just fine. The chef brought the pho out personally and apologized for our short wait. The desserts looked incredible, but we will sample those on our next visit.
