Lettuce edges were all black inside our Shrimp Spring Roll. Not acceptable, yuck!
    Kai L.

Located at NW corner of MacArthur and I-40, corner of a small strip mall facing MacArthur. Still had "grand opening" sign hung outside. Inside was new with table and booths. There was a lady and a gentleman working sharing duties. The guy was usually the one doing server duty. The lady would go in to make the food and come back out to help. Not sure if they are a couple that own the place or just workers. They both spoke Chinese. Hubs and I ordered the Shrimp Spring Roll and each ordered our own Pho. The Roll had black edges on the lettuce. We had to pull those out. No, not acceptable, yuck. The Pho toppings looked okay fresh though. The Pho broth was light but okay, could've been more flavorful. But they don't give you enough noodles and meat! They are cheaper than the other local pho places around (maybe that's why not enough meat, but I would pay an extra $2 for a bowl full of meats/noodle).

Both servers weren't Vietnamese but I'm guessing the cooks are.. maybe.. broth is decent 13.99 for large, couldn't order my hanh giam (pickled onions) nor do they have nuoc beo.. not bad but at least the spring rolls were good! Peanut sauce on point

This place is slowly falling in my ratings. What an awful customer service…read more This time I came and purchase 2 Vietnamese coffees and 2 eggrolls. Young lady at counter just put them on the counter. All I had was my phone in my hands. How did she expect me to carry this? I asked if there was a drink carrier or a bag. She threw a ripped half carrier and a bag on the counter (literally threw). I put the carrier with drinks in the bag, but it was not stable and toppled over. The coffee leaked into the bag. She watched me and did nothing. I asked for napkins and cleaned it up and then I asked for another bag. This whole time, no help.

The staff was friendly, but just a bit slow getting to us even though we were the only folks in line and barely any patrons were in the dining room. The sandwiches were a bit on the skimpy side. The veggies all had a nice crunch to them. My oldest daughter did not like the "savory house" sauce as she thought it was too sweet. I wish we had ordered a side or shared a noodle soup. Still, we enjoyed them as we don't have many opportunities for Vietnamese food in our area of New Mexico. Ample, free parking. Clean restaurant with minimal decor. They've got the roast meats, a large Chinese dinner menu, an equally large Vietnamese dinner menu, catering for events, and my favorite: their dimsum menu. For their regular menu, my family and I will frequently order to go and occasionally dine in. We often order off the Chinese menu when we're going family style (flat noodles, salt & pepper squid, egg noodle lo mein, and scallion chicken are some of our favorites), and we will order from the Viet menu for individual portions (we love their egg noodle soups, pho, broken rice platters). One of my favorite dishes is their lotus root summer salad, and I've not found another place that beats that dish here! I've found their service with regular dining in to be hit or miss. Most of the time we get great service but a few times here and there we have a hard time finding our server. Moving on to my favorite part of Golden Phoenix- the dimsum. They serve dimsum primarily on the weekends from opening to 3pm (I think), and they have really brought up the OKC dimsum game with their large and delicious dimsum menu! Their dumplings like the hargow and shiumai are large, filling, and delicious! I particularly love the fried shrimp and chives dumpling and their shrimp egg rolls. The service during dimsum is fantastic because they've got people pushing around carts and carrying plates of food out to you. Once you're ready for dessert, make sure you grab some egg tarts for the table!

Prompt service and also located in the food hall of the World Fresh International Market so plenty of seating and tables. One gripe is that the sugarcane juice costs $8.50 for a Large with no free refills! What gives bro? All the cans of soda are also $1, and I told them as a business suggestion they should maybe allow at least one free refill at that price because that may be the equivalent of 8 cans. Otherwise recommended!

I have previously tried the oxtail pho when the restaurant first opened. It was good stuff, not the best pho though. Now I come back for the bánh mì (Vietnamese baguette sandwiches). I love their combination bánh mì, so yummy. I usually order to go since I don't like food court seatings. The service was a little slow as orders tend to take longer to prepare. It was similar for the dine-in orders. My favorite restaurant in this food court. Nice restaurant, very much needed.
